Hopefully This Circulates To Enough People Who Can Help!
Hopefully this circulates to enough people who can help!
Please help me. My name is Shirley. I am autistic and disabled. I ran away from my abusive parents a few years ago. I’ve been moving from place to place. A couple of months ago I was able to find my own apartment. Things went downhill when I was fired from my job. It has been very difficult for me to find employment due to mental health issues. I have been transferring money out of my credit card to my debit card in order to pay my rent. I also have to pay interest. This time, I’ve really hit rock bottom. My credit card is about to be maxed out and I could get evicted. I don’t think I could survive out in the streets.

Please donate or reblog if you are not able to donate but would like to help. It would mean a lot to me if you could donate or share the link to my GoFundMe. Thank you so much

Hi! I'm really hesitant to send this ask because I know it feels like a shameless attempt at self promotion so feel absolutely free to delete this ask. I've been finding that a lot of the necessary research about medical conditions means running into paywall after paywall and medical literature is a massive pain to read. I'm super lucky to be doing a degree involving research which means I can access a lot of papers that the general public cannot so I started a sideblog (@obfuscated-abstract) to make them accessible to more people.
I was wondering if you or any of your followers would like to contribute by sending any papers to that blog so I can make them available and accessible.
Again, absolutely no pressure to promote this; I just kept thinking of you whilst I was writing for it so I figured I'd share.
I don't have any papers to send in right now, but this sounds super cool!!
Not pots related (i dont think??? Can it hit that young???) but when I was a child in music class we all stood up to sing and immediately after standing up my vision started getting replaced by this static/blackness and i got sooo dizzy. I stared at our substitute teacher in fear as my vision tunneled onto just her then it all went black/static and I stood there horrified that I just.... couldnt see. Everyone else around me was singing and I was staring blankly with blinded horror and when she approached me and asked what was wrong I said I can't see.... and asked to go to the nurse. She didnt believe me but let me go anyway and I literally walked completely blinded down the hall holding onto the wall for guidance and of course I got to the nurse and my vision had slowly returned and I stood there looking blankly at her just.... no idea what to tell her because a little kid going to the nurse saying "i cant see but nvm i can now" just appeared to be an excuse to leave class and tbh why tf dont adults just believe kids sure some lie but cmon now....
That is a damn core traumatic memory for me 🫠
I think it's absolutely wild that you just lose your vision every time you stand up (or rather, I do) and we just carry on like that's completely normal. POTS is crazy haha.
I'm so upset. Even after meds, my heart keeps spazzing out. Which keeps knocking me out. I was supposed to get so much done today but my body said yeah F those plans, fren.... I want to cry.
My partner is on parent duty alone after working his overnight shift. I feel so worthless right now......
I cannot for the life of me walk with my cane on the opposite side of the pain. I have to "House It" or I can't walk.
I see so many people saying to do the opposite and I just... can't? Idk how you do it. Cannot fathom. I've tried and tried and it was unbearable. But on the same side is so much more natural to me.
How many others do the same??
