I didn't really wanna do this. Actually, I hate that I am currently doing this but due to my situation and things that have escalated, I have no choice. Some days ago, I got an email from Amazon of someone buying a very expensive item. I was late and I couldn't cancel the order and had the money taken from my bank. I have called countless times to prove it wasn't me but the bank doesn't believe I didn't buy it. The item isn't even being sent to me but to an address in Vermont. I had about 800 USD and now my account is at a solid 10 USD.
I don't get pay until next friday so I am just asking for an amount to survive the week. My landlord demands I pay my apartment rent and my family refuses to help me pay bills and groceries.

Start helping with citizen science projects
What's a citizen science project? Basically, it's crowdsourced science. In this case, crowdsourced climate science, that you can help with!
You don't need qualifications or any training besides the slideshow at the start of a project. There are a lot of things that humans can do way better than machines can, even with only minimal training, that are vital to science - especially digitizing records and building searchable databases
Like labeling trees in aerial photos so that scientists have better datasets to use for restoration.
Or counting cells in fossilized plants to track the impacts of climate change.
Or digitizing old atmospheric data to help scientists track the warming effects of El Niño.
Or counting penguins to help scientists better protect them.
Those are all on one of the most prominent citizen science platforms, called Zooniverse, but there are a ton of others, too.
Oh, and btw, you don't have to worry about messing up, because several people see each image. Studies show that if you pool the opinions of however many regular people (different by field), it matches the accuracy rate of a trained scientist in the field.

I spent a lot of time doing this when I was really badly injured and housebound, and it was so good for me to be able to HELP and DO SOMETHING, even when I was in too much pain to leave my bed. So if you are chronically ill/disabled/for whatever reason can't participate or volunteer for things in person, I highly highly recommend.

Decided, ok, maybe I will take care of my mental health and try to deal with this before I actively tried to kill myself. Went to a psych ward. The one I tried to get into was full so I got sent to one which fucking thankfully had the county pay for me but this meant they had no resources whatsoever, there was absolutely nothing to do but watch tv and I didn’t get to talk to anyone one on one until I had been there for over sixty hours. Despite calling my store and telling my boss separately that I was literally in the fucking psych ward I got a call every single day I was there asking why I wasn’t at work because she did not communicate this to anyone. And then as soon as I came home I discovered my roommate had packed literally everything in my room into a suitcase and she’s kicking me out tonight while I have nowhere to go. Remember to take care of your mental health guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My father's family consists of 8 members
My grandfather, may God have mercy on him, was martyred by occupation aircraft on 12/14/2023.
The one who was martyred while he was leaving the house to check on our house next to him, which could not be reached due to a brutal enemy who does not differentiate between anyone in death, went out to check on our house, which we were not in because of my displacement to Rafah, me, my father, and our families due to the intensity of the fighting in Khan Yunis, and after that A few days ago, our store in which my father and brothers work was bombed by occupation aircraft. He was working to gather his strength from it and meet the needs of our house, which no longer exists due to the bombing. We ask you to help and contribute, even if just a little, by donating to us so that we can compensate for a little of what we lost.

Hello everybody, as you may be aware of, I have a second job that is stressing me out and draining a lot of my time… I know this might sound like I’m whining or complaining again but bear with me.
This job has been draining most of my energy since the past year and as you might know my drawings are less frequent then usual. Things I usually loved are getting me depressed as I have to rush through my project to get it done. It’s not a chore, but it is pressuring me quite a lot with the situation I’m in at the moment. I WANT to keep the quality of my content and I want to bring smiles and emotional reaction to those who read my work.
Paper Crane’s comic have been a project I’ve loved since day one and I’ve been looking forward to do a weekly update and produce more content… but with my second job, it’s been harder and harder to even produce a page in time.
I do not want it to feel like a chore when it’s something I used to love a lot… My time interacting with you guys or anyone else that matters has drastically decreased as well… and it breaks my heart to not be able to emotionally be attached or want to spend more time with the people I care about. I’ve been working to move out of my situation, but I’m being forced to work a job I hate because my living situation has been an over-complicated mess for far too long, and now I have two options - keep working the way I am and be miserable, or do what I like and be kicked out of my house, where I won’t be able to save for my move like I’ve planned.
I’m super thankful to all the Patrons who have stuck with me so far, though it’s far from sustainable. I wouldn’t mind to do 2/3 commissions a month to compensate from the lack of money, but it wouldn’t be enough even then, because of how things are right now. I know I’ve talked about it a little bit here and there, but I really prefer to not burden everyone with the details.
So… I hate to ask for this… but I need your help… I love drawing, it’s been my life since I was little, and I would hate it if it turned into something that I cannot enjoy anymore because my second job drains the life out of me. I would be more than grateful if you could help me enjoy working on my things again and remove that pressure my family had imposed me for the past year…

Please help me. My name is Shirley. I am autistic and disabled. I ran away from my abusive parents a few years ago. I’ve been moving from place to place. A couple of months ago I was able to find my own apartment. Things went downhill when I was fired from my job. It has been very difficult for me to find employment due to mental health issues. I have been transferring money out of my credit card to my debit card in order to pay my rent. I also have to pay interest. This time, I’ve really hit rock bottom. My credit card is about to be maxed out and I could get evicted. I don’t think I could survive out in the streets.
