Hey, I mean zero disrespect, but what's the difference between grey-aroace and greyrose? I've discovered that I'm on the aroace spectrum and I want to be supportive of more identities, but I also want to understand them better

Greyrose is specifically the combination of grey asexuality and grey aromanticism. Greyroses experience romantic and sexual attraction infrequently or only under specific circumstances.

Meanwhile, grey aroace is an orientation on the aroace spectrum. Grey aroaces experience infrequent romantic and sexual attraction, but may still experience other types of non-romantic, non-sexual attraction (e.g., queerplatonic, alterous, sensual).

(In short: Greyrose = being both greysexual and greyromantic, Grey Aroace = those who relate to asexuality and aromanticism, yet feel as though there are parts of their experience that aren't fully described by the word aroace.)

Bisexual: Okay, cool.

Demiromantic: Alright, also making sense.

Greysexual: *messes everything up djfodjidk*

It just feels weird having two labels end in “-sexual” yk? Idk

Speaking as a gendervast termcollector? I can confirm that it feels weird to identify with labels that feel contradictory.

But if bisexual and greysexual feel right (even if it does feel weird that they both end in -sexual) by all means use em. But here's the thing: just because your ace-spec label makes it feel like it's contradicting your bisexual identity, does not mean they have to be contradicting. Because you, AND ONLY YOU, get to define who you are and how you experience attraction.

Long story short: if the shoe fits, wear it. (Or, I guess in this case: if the label fits, use it. Or something like that.)
