Greyrose - Tumblr Posts
Ayooo guess who just realized he’s some sort of aplatonic!!! (Probably greyplatonic and reciproplatonic)
Reblog if you
- really want a queer platonic relationship - have a QPR - really want an asexual relationship - have an asexual relationship - are aro-spec - are ace-spec - are aroace-spec - have a pet - want a pet - are openly queer - are openly LGBT+ - are a Supernatural-fan - are a geek - are a Sherlock-fan or just love Lilo & Stitch
Was I the only aro-spec person who had the experience of thinking that I had crushes growing up, but looking back, they might not have been crushes because 1. I could never or only rarely name any traits that I liked about them (and those rare times that I could were traits that I simply admired), 2. I felt immense relief when they rejected me, or 3. I just wanted to have a crush, so I chose a person and consciously decided to develop feelings for them, not knowing that it doesn't work like that?
Here’s a reminder to the greyroses: your identity is real, you’re valid and you’re just as aroace as every other aroace. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Hey, I mean zero disrespect, but what's the difference between grey-aroace and greyrose? I've discovered that I'm on the aroace spectrum and I want to be supportive of more identities, but I also want to understand them better
Greyrose is specifically the combination of grey asexuality and grey aromanticism. Greyroses experience romantic and sexual attraction infrequently or only under specific circumstances.
Meanwhile, grey aroace is an orientation on the aroace spectrum. Grey aroaces experience infrequent romantic and sexual attraction, but may still experience other types of non-romantic, non-sexual attraction (e.g., queerplatonic, alterous, sensual).
(In short: Greyrose = being both greysexual and greyromantic, Grey Aroace = those who relate to asexuality and aromanticism, yet feel as though there are parts of their experience that aren't fully described by the word aroace.)

Jo March - Little Women - Greyrose
Not to sound like your standard white girl, but when I read Little Women, I connected a lot with Jo and related to her quite a bit in regards to her dreams and independence.
It was more than just that, though. And I know there's the lesbian vs aroace debate with her just like there is with Barbie. However, I see her more as greyrose.
I'm probably going to do a terrible job explaining this, but when I read the story, I actually really like her relationship with The Professor. She doesn't seem to experience rose feelings often but they finally aligned with Fritz. A once in a lifetime chance and they made it work out.
This story gave me a lot of hope. At the time I read it, I was wondering if I was greyromantic as well as ace. Jo's story and the fact that she ended comfortable and happy on her own terms, which just so happened to also include Fritz, brought me comfort. It helped me know that, no matter what, so long as I do my best to do what makes me happy, it'll all turn out. It also gave me hope in someday being able to find someone who accepts that my asexuality makes me approach relationships differently and we'll be able to make it work, too.

Katsa - Graceling Realm - Greyrose
I'm actually in the middle of a Graceling Realm reread/catch-up right now, so of course I'm gonna give out an aspec headcanon for this series as well
Why greyrose for Katsa? Well, before she met Po, she really wasn't interested in anything regarding romance or sex. It takes a combo of meeting him and knowing that he won't force her to settle down the way society tries to require that finally gets her to be more interested.
Also just. More power to her for being aspec. She's awesome
