𝔰𝔶𝔫𝔬𝔭𝔰𝔦𝔰 ➛ Christmas day turns out to be more eventful than Naomi had hoped for, but it wasn't all bad. Christmas may not have been the magical day everyone wanted, but maybe it was what everyone needed.
𝔞/𝔫 ➛ Y'all, I'm SOOO SORRYYYYY!!! I feel so bad for making y'all wait this long. I've really enjoyed writing this whole series and the other oneshots as well. I won't go into why this took so long, I know y'all wanna see how it ends. So, without further delay, here is the finale! Enjoy!
12 Days of Christmas Masterlist

Christmas morning dawns with a hushed excitement. I feel a warm, gentle glow on my skin as I stir in my sleep. I wake up for the last time in my childhood room. It's a bit chilly as I slip out of bed, tiptoeing to the window and looking out over the snow-covered landscape. The world seems to sparkle in the early morning light and a sense of calm settles within me. The events of the previous days replay in my mind - the shared laughter, reconstructing bonds, and the budding connection between Michael and me.
I yawn and stretch sleepily, but before I can fully embrace the day, my door bursts open. The twins tumble into the room like a whirlwind of excitement.
"Auntie Mimi, Auntie Mimi! It's Christmas!" They shout in unison, their eyes sparkling in pure joy. They rush over to me, bouncing up and down with an infectious energy.
"Y'all are up early!" I groan sleepily as they tug on my arms.
"Come on, Auntie!" Matthew urges as they pull me towards the door.
"Santa left us more gifts!" Mason adds and I allow myself to be pulled into the festive chaos.
We get downstairs and I see James and Teresa sitting on the couch, drinking steaming cups of coffee. I chuckle at the sight.
"I guess they went to see you guys before they came to me." I observe and Teresa gives me a sleepy smile.
"I just wanted five more minutes but they wanted to open their presents now." She says with a sigh.
"And then they decided they wanted everyone else awake to open them as well." James adds, seeming to remind the boys of their mission and they run back up the stairs to get everyone else.
I take a seat on the couch and slide my feet between the cushions to keep them warm. James hands me my own cup of coffee and I thank him, taking a sip that warms me to my core. The stairs creak as my mom comes down, then my aunts, Ashanti, and, finally, Michael. As he emerges from the guest room, I note that he looks slightly disheveled, yet undeniably charming.
"Morning," He greets, his voice a bit groggy as he sits next to me, a warm smile playing on his lips.
"Morning," I reply, the vibrant energy of the morning slowly dispelling the remnants of sleep. I continue to sip my coffee, finding myself blushing from his close presence. Michael puts his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.
"Sorry, you looked pretty cold and I've been told I make good heater." He smirks teasingly and I roll my eyes at him, scooting closer until our legs are touching. "Now that's more like it.
The family gathers in the living room and, finally, the unwrapping of gifts can commence. Mason fishes through the mountains of gifts and pulls out a medium sized box. It says "From Granny Pat."
"Can I open it?!" He asks excitedly. Aunt Pat gives him a nod and he tears it open to find a Jurassic Park Lego set.
"YES! I've been wanting this forever!" he screams as he jumps up from his seat, running to tell his brother. Then Matthew opens on of his gifts. It's a large toy robot. He's in awe of it, excited to try it out. After that, the rest of the family begin to unwrap theirs, one by one.
As the unwrapping frenzy continues, Teresa’s eyes widen in surprise as James hands her a neatly wrapped gift. She carefully opens it, revealing the same pair of ugly Christmas leggings she had admired at the store yesterday. Her face lights up with delight, and she looks at James in disbelief.
“These are amazing! How did you…?” she begins, her voice filled with awe.
Ashanti smiles proudly, leaning over to whisper in my ear, “I sent him a picture when I saw how much she loved them. He insisted on going back to get them.”
Teresa is so touched by James' thoughtful gift that she practically leaps into his arms, showering him with kisses and affection. He returns her affection, smiling back at her and wrapping his arms around her.
Michael is watching the two of them with a grin on his face, he seems amused by the whole thing.
Next, Ashanti receives a flashy gift from her mother, despite their recent arguments. The air is tense between them and Aunt Tina doesn’t even look to see Ashanti’s reaction to the gift.
The atmosphere is full of awkward tension, but Ashanti does not seem to care. She smiles warmly and thanks her mother for the gift, which is a designer wallet.
I smile as I pick up a gift that I wrapped carefully and hand it to Michael, eager for him to open it.
He takes the gift from me, and he can tell how excited I am to see his reaction.
He tears the paper away to reveal a painted canvas, a portrait of him, capturing every aspect of his face, from his perfect smile to his warm eyes. As he pulls the painting from its wrapping, his expression shifts from curiosity to astonishment. His eyes widen in disbelief as he takes in the image before him, his lips parting in silent awe. For a moment, he is speechless, his gaze fixed on the portrait with a mixture of wonder and gratitude.
"Is this..." He starts and begins to beam. "Is this yours?" He asks finally, his eyes still fixed on the portrait. I smile and nod.
“I told you I’d make one for you. Here it is.” I say, my smile widening.
"It's amazing," He says, his voice still strained as he continues to stare at the painting. We've had a lot of touching moments these past few days, but nothing quite like this. This gesture feels like a genuine act of love, one that takes a lot of heart and dedication. It's just one more thing that makes it difficult for me to keep denying my feelings for him.
He pulls me into a hug and I bask in the feeling of his strong arms around me. It never gets old. I smile warmly as we separate and Ashanti sighs heavily, interrupting our moment.
“Okay, we get it, y’all are in love!” She fake gags and we roll our eyes at her. “Here, Naomi, open this one.” She plops a small gift in my lap and looks at me expectantly. I look at her in confusion as I open it, my heart skipping a beat as I see what’s inside. It’s the notebook Ashanti and I used to color in when we were little, filled with doodles and memories from our childhood.
"I can't believe you still have this..." I look at her in pure shock, my eyes wide. Ashanti smiles sweetly at me, not only having kept it, but having taken the time to give it to me today. This notebook means the world to me and it feels like Ashanti knows my heart. I hug her, almost in tears from its sentimental value.
She smiles softly, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. “It’s a reminder of the bond we share, no matter where life takes us.” This moment hits me just right. I have so much to be grateful for today, and this gift is just another example of all the love that I have in my life.
As we pull apart, I can see that my other family members have noticed the touching scene.
"We get it," Teresa yells teasingly, "can we continue on with the gifts now?" Ashanti sticks her tongue at her and I laugh as we move on.
As the gift opening continues on, the children get more toys and the atmosphere is filled with joy. Finally, Michael hands me his last gift from under the tree. I open the small envelope with unsure hands, my heart racing with anticipation. Inside, I find a boarding pass for first class to Los Angeles, set for December 26, tomorrow.
I look at him in shock, my breath catching in my throat. He meets my gaze with a soft smile, his eyes filled with sincerity.
"I thought we'd start the new year together," he says softly. My breath stops and my heart skip a beat. This is big. It's not something casual. This is a statement of intention and I know it. My family notices it, as well. They're all wide-eyed, waiting to see how I respond.
"Is this...are you asking me to go back with you... to Los Angeles?" I ask him, barely able to speak with what this gift actually represents.
"Yes," he says softly, taking my hand. "I want you to come home me, just until New Years. You know, just to get to know you better and see where we go from here... outside of this place. And I do believe there's something pretty amazing between us that's worth exploring. So... are you coming?" A rush of happiness washes over me, and I throw my arms around him, accepting the gift with overflowing joy.
“Of course, I’ll go to LA with you!” I squeal, my excitement overflowing. He wraps his arms around me as well and my mother claps her hands excitedly.
“Now THAT is a Christmas present!” She exclaims and Teresa chimes in.
“Mmhm, you’re telling me. I sure would love to go to LA.” She casts a glance at James, who laughs and shakes his head.
“Thanks, Mike, now I gotta one up you.” He says jokingly and Teresa swats his arm playfully. There are smiles all around us and my family all seem relieved that I've agreed so quickly. Michael laughs along and leans back in his seat, subtly taking my hand in his as the excitement dies down.
He moves to closer whisper in my ear, "Let's finish opening these gifts and then we'll talk more about LA tonight." I nod in agreement and the celebration of opening the gifts continues until every single gift has been opened. Then, we all settle in to enjoy the remainder of this holiday. My family members start to disperse and leave the room, going off to watch TV, relax, or take a nap. Danny, Ashanti, Teresa, James, Michael and I find ourselves taking a walk outside in the snow.
We're bundled up in jackets and hats, our breath fogging in the cold winter air. Michael and I have fallen far behind the rest of our group. The snow falls gently, covering everything in a thick blanket of white. As we walk along the sidewalk, my fingers wrap around his bicep, taking comfort in his strong presence. We're almost completely silent, both of us enjoying the quiet as the light snow falls. it feels calm and peaceful, like time has stood still. The only sound that's breaking the silence is the crunch of snow as we walk along.
I steal glances at Michael, admiring the way the winter sun highlights the rich tones of his skin, casting a warm glow over his features. He looks over at me, the corners of his mouth turning upward.
"This is nice," He finally says softly. We both enjoy the winter air and take in the snow-covered landscape that spreads out before us. The sun warms my skin as we continue to walk and my finger traces circles in his bicep every few steps.
"Yeah, it's such a beautiful day out. This is a nice way to spend Christmas day." I reply, leaning my head on his shoulder. Michael chuckles lightly, smirking a bit as he glances at me.
"I was talking about being here with you." He corrects me, a dimpled grin spreading across his face. I blush as his words catch me off guard and I let go of his arm. "But it does look nice out today. I just prefer to look at you." He reaches out to grab my hand, bringing me in closer. I let out a laugh as he raises an eyebrow at me.
"You thought that was really smooth, huh?" I ask and he rolls his eyes at me.
Michael lets out a chuckle, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Smooth as butter," he replies with a playful grin. "But hey, can you blame a guy for trying?" I shake my head, laughing softly.
"I suppose not," I admit and we share a laugh, the sound echoing softly in the crisp winter air. It's moments like these, filled with easy banter and genuine laughter, that make me feel grateful for the connection we've formed over the past few days.
As Michael and I walk, engrossed in our conversation, I suddenly realize that the sound of footsteps ahead of us has disappeared. I glance up, only to see Teresa, James, and Ashanti emerge from behind a snow-covered bush, armed with handfuls of snowballs.
Before we can react, snowballs start flying in our direction. I yelp and we brace ourselves for the incoming attack. We're bombarded with snow from all sides, leaving us standing there in shock, covered in a layer of white.
Michael and I exchange a bewildered glance, silence in the air as my brother and cousins laugh at us. Then, without missing a beat, Michael scoops up a handful of snow and tosses it playfully above us. As the snow falls directly on my hat, I can’t help but look at him with a mixture of surprise and amusement.
“Really?” I say with a sarcastic eye roll, shaking my head at his antics.
“Oh, yeah.” He says with a mischievous grin. Michael can't help but break out into a hysterical laugh. "You should see your face," he teases, which makes my expression turn from surprise to annoyance. We both laugh as I reach over and scoop up a snowball, preparing myself to launch it at him.
Before I know it, we’re all engaged in a full-blown snowball fight, laughter ringing out into the winter air as we duck and dodge each other’s icy projectiles.
The snow keeps flying and our breaths fog up the cold winter air. My family and I have always been very competitive, so the snowball fight quickly escalates into a full-blown, no-holds-barred battle. We're all laughing, running, slipping and sliding in the snow, throwing snowballs as fast as we can and ducking to avoid being hit.
In the midst of our snowball fight, Michael reaches out and picks me up, using me as a shield as all the snowballs fire in our direction. I scream as I’m lifted off the ground and hit with one snowball after another.
“Put me down! You’re cheating!” I shout as I laugh loudly.
"You’re just mad you didn’t think of it first!" He laughs, holding me closer to his body, and I have to admit that I do feel safe in his strong arms, even in the middle of a snowball fight.
I struggle against his grip as I’m covered in snow until we both lose balance. We tumble backward into a pile of fresh white fluff, the cold seeping through our jackets, but neither of us cares. Wrapped up in each other’s warmth, we lie there, breathless and giggling like a pair of children.
As we lay there laughing, breathing heavily in between giggles, it feels like the whole world has stopped. The snow continues to fall and the sound of the others laughing and throwing snowballs is a distant echo in the distance. It's just us here in this beautiful winter wonderland. Our eyes meet and we exchange a look of mutual understanding and tenderness as we bask in the moment.
We both sit up as we hear Teresa yelling as she runs towards us. Before we can move, she jumps on top of us, giggling.
“Ugh! Teresa! You’re heavy!” I groan with a laugh as she sprawls out across us.
“Ahhh this is nice!” She says as she ignores my complaints. To my displeasure, James comes and jumps on top of us as well. Michael and I groan at the added weight. They’re both laughing uncontrollably.
“I can’t breathe!” Michael grunts and chuckles as we try and push them off. As if that wasn’t enough, Ashanti and Danny join in the fun, piling on top of us in a heap of laughter and snow-covered limbs. The weight of our combined bodies presses us deeper into the snow, the cold seeping through our clothes, but none of us worry about that as we dissolve into fits of laughter.
“Hey, watch it!” Michael exclaims, his voice muffled by the snow and laughter.
“Sorry, couldn’t resist!” Ashanti giggles, her breath coming out in puffs of white in the chilly air.
“I think we broke Naomi,” Danny jokes, his laughter contagious.
I manage to gasp between giggles, “You guys are ridiculous!” But my protests only elicit more laughter from the others, who seem determined to prolong the moment for as long as possible.
Eventually, though, our laughter subsides, and we lie there in the snow, breathless and content, our hearts full of joy and our spirits light.
As we finally untangle ourselves from the snowy dog pile, we exchange playful swats and teasing remarks. I shiver as Michael helps me stand up.
“God, I’m so cold!” I exclaim and Ashanti nods.
“Yeah, I’m not so sure jumping in the snow was the best idea now.” She admits with her teeth chattering and I raise an eyebrow.
“You think?” I reply.
"Well, it was a good idea at the time," James responds, his words causing everyone to laugh. As the laughter settles, we all start to feel the cold really sink in and we realize how damp and wet we really are.
"I guess it maybe wasn't the best decision," Ashanti admits.
“Yeah, I think we need some hot cocoa after that,” Teresa adds, her cheeks flushed from the cold and laughter.
“How about we change first?” Danny suggests, shaking his head.
“Definitely.” I agree.
“Sounds like a plan,” Michael adds, rubbing his hands together, trying to warm them up in the frigid conditions. The others agree and we make our way inside to get changed.
As we trudge back to the house, our clothes damp and clinging to our skin, we're greeted by the warm glow of the lights shining through the windows. Grandmother is standing by the door, her hands on her hips and a playful twinkle in her eye.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" she says with a chuckle, taking in our snow-covered appearance. "Looks like we've got ourselves a bunch of walking icicles!"
We all exchange sheepish glances, realizing just how wet and cold we must look. But Grandmother just laughs and ushers us inside.
"Come on in, you lot," she says, her voice warm and welcoming. "I'll get a fire going and some hot chocolate brewing. You'll warm up in no time." As we all follow her inside, discarding our boots at the door, we all head to our rooms to get out of our clothes. It feels just like when we were kids, always outside, having the time of our lives, then coming back inside to the warmth and comfort that it had to offer.
After shedding my winter clothes, I towel off and slip into a snug green sweater and a pair of black jeans, opting for some plush socks to keep my toes warm. Despite still feeling a bit chilly, the anticipation of the hot chocolate awaiting us downstairs fills me with a sense of warmth.
While freshening up my appearance in front of the mirror, I catch sight of the emerald jewelry set gifted to me by Michael last night. I smile as I think about what it means to me. How thoughtful of a gift it was. Delicately adorned with shimmering green stones, it complements my outfit perfectly. With a smile, I fasten the earrings and clasp the necklace around my neck, admiring how elegantly they enhance my look.
With one last look in the mirror, I step out of my room, ready to join the others when I run into Michael, leaving his room as well. His eyes widen at the sight of me, speechless. I raise an eyebrow at him as he stares at me, waiting for him to say something. After a moment he shakes his head, as if snapping out of a trance and a warm grin spreads across his face.
"You look... wow," He manages to say softly, still taken aback by the sight of me. As his eyes roam over my outfit, they light up at the sight of me wearing his gift. A blush creeps onto my face as I smile shyly and look off to the side.
"I figured it would go nicely with what I'm wearing." I reply, fiddling with the necklace. Michael smiles, his eyes still twinkling as he looks me over from head to toe.
"You look absolutely gorgeous," he compliments, a hint of admiration in his words. Before I can respond, he leans in and plants a gentle kiss on my cheek, sending a flutter of warmth through me. "I'm going to have trouble keeping my eyes off you."
"Well, then look all you want." I giggle as the touch of his lips sends a jolt of electricity through my entire being, leaving me feeling giddy and breathless.
"We should probably get downstairs. I think the hot chocolate is ready." Michael's fingers tug on mine as he nods towards the steps. With a shared smile, we continue our descent down the stairs, hand in hand.
As we reach the bottom, the comforting aroma of hot chocolate fills the air, drawing us into the kitchen where grandmother stands, ladling out steaming cups of cocoa for each of us. I gratefully accept mine, wrapping my hands around the warm mug.
As we gather in the kitchen for the much-needed warm beverage, Grandmother sets out a plate of cookies and other treats, along with some candy canes to help us get in the holiday spirit. The room fills with laughter and good cheer as everyone warms up and catches up with each other. The kids tumble into the kitchen, clamoring for the sweet treats.
"Y'all slow down, them treats ain't gonna run from you." Aunt Pat calls out to them from the living room. The twins giggle and grab a cup of cocoa, running out of the kitchen with a handful of cookies. I smile as I see Jesse waddle into the kitchen, reaching for a candy cane on the counter. I grab it and hand it to her and she smiles up at me.
"Tank you, Titi." She says, before putting the candy cane in her mouth and walking towards Michael. She lifts her chubby arms up in a silent plea to be picked up.
“Aw, how can anyone resist that?” Michael chuckles as he lifts her up and swings her around, making her giggles grow louder with each swing. He holds her high before setting her back down, ruffling her hair and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Seems like you're getting pretty popular around here." I giggle, shaking my head as Jesse jumps up and down, wanting to go up again. Michael laughs and shakes his head.
"It seems like it,” Michael replies, amused at the little girl’s attachment to him. Jesse wraps her arms around his legs, looking up at him with big, pleading eyes.
“Up, up?” She demands sweetly, to which Michael gives in and he picks her up again. Teresa laughs and Michael hands Jesse over to her. Jesse starts to whine, not wanting to leave.
"Come on, baby. we gotta get you changed and then it's nap time." Jesse starts to cry but Teresa doesn't budge and leaves to take her upstairs. Michael chuckles as he watches Teresa take the baby away.
“Looks like someone loves you," I nudge him, my voice full of amusement. He takes a sip from his cocoa and I can’t help but stare at how his eyes sparkle as he laughs and the way the warmth of his smile radiates.
"Yeah, I guess she does," Michael chuckles, taking another sip of hot chocolate, and I swear the man is getting more attractive every minute. From across the room, Ashanti notices the way I’m looking at Michael and she can’t help but chuckle, taking the situation entirely out of context.
“Mimi, you're drooling a bit.” Ashanti says, her teasing voice loud enough for us all to hear, and Michael glances sideways at me as he tries to suppress a smirk. I roll my eyes at her and chuckle.
"Whatever, Ashanti. It was just because I wanted a cookie." I say as I pick up one from the plate of treats, taking a bite.
"Uh-huh, tell yourself that, sweetheart." Ashanti replies with a smirk and I can’t help but snicker as she continues to antagonize me. "Just try not to get any on the counter.”
As the chatter and laughter continue to fill the kitchen, Grandmother, with her usual warmth and hospitality, invites us to settle in and make ourselves comfortable. With the fire crackling and the scent of hot chocolate wafting through the air, it's easy to feel at home.
I take a seat at the table, cradling my mug of cocoa in my hands, savoring the rich, chocolatey warmth. This cozy atmosphere and the company of family are the perfect way to spend Christmas. A game of Spades commences and everyone's energy is elevated as time passes quickly.
The living room, magically illuminated by the large Christmas tree, is infused with laughter and shouting as I finish up my cup of hot chocolate. The mood is light and we are all enjoying ourselves. I also can't help but admire how Michael has just gravitated into our family. He fits in seamlessly and I can think back to when I'd seen interviews talking about how good of a guy he is. I'm glad to know that every word is true.
As the minutes blur into hours, the delicious aroma of Christmas dinner wafts through the house and I notice Michael's eyes light up at the scent. I can feel my hunger growing as well. The sun retreats into the horizon and the kids start to get a little rowdy as they are ready to eat. It doesn't help that the plate of treats is long gone.
"Mommy! When is dinner ready? I'm gonna die!" Matthew whines to Teresa, falling into her lap dramatically.
"Any minute now, honey. The table is almost set.” Teresa responds, stroking Matthew's hair and giving him a kiss. He sighs dramatically as he looks around the room, his eyes landing on me as I'm engaged in a conversation with Ashanti and James.
The four of us share a smile at his melodrama and I can’t help but laugh. Teresa lifts his face with her finger and the two of them have a sweet moment.
As if on cue, the dinner bell rings and everyone eagerly gets up, washing up before heading to the dining room. We stand around the table as Grandmother prays over the food and, once she's finished, we all get to work making our plates. Of all the meals we've had on this trip, this one is rightfully the biggest and most delicious. It seems everyone's plan today is to eat their fill.
I load my plate up with plenty of food, earning some looks from my aunts, but I ignore them. As I enter the dining room, I spot Michael sitting next door to Daniel, deep in conversation. I sit down next to him and he glances at me, throwing me a wink as he goes back to the conversation.
Dinner starts off on a cheerful note, with Grandmother praying over the food and everyone digging into the delicious holiday feast. I can't help but feel grateful for my family, despite our shortcomings, I wouldn't ask for a different family.
"This food is really good, Ms. Samuels." Michael says, smiling at my mother and she returns the smile.
"I'm glad you like it, Michael. Eat as much as you like!" She replies. I chuckle a bit as I look over and see Teresa with a plate filled to the brim with food. I hear Aunt Pat tsk.
"Terry, honey, you're not eating for two anymore, you don't have to eat like a pig anymore, you know?" She tells her, as if it's the most normal thing to say. The table goes silent as Teresa stares across the table at her mother.
"Ma, was that really necessary?" She asks, her brow furrowed. Aunt Pat shrugs her shoulders.
"I was just saying, you're not as young as you used to be. All that food is gonna go right to your hips. You already have a long way to go with all that baby weight." Aunt Tina snickers at her sisters words and Teresa doesn't respond, just eating in silence.
"Can we please not do this right now?" Ashanti asks with annoyance. "Just two seconds, please, without your stupid criticisms?!" Aunt Pat and Tina look at each other in disbelief. My mom shakes her head and sighs and Grandmother doesn't seem to be paying attention.
"Let's just talk about something happy? How about that?" I suggest, offering a smile. Aunt Tina turns to me and smirks.
"Okay, then. So, Mimi, since you and Michael seem to be head over heels for each other, are you planning on living off of him so you can keep painting? I mean painting is all well and good, but it's still not a proper career. Maybe now since you have a movie star boyfriend, you shouldn't have to worry about money." She remarks, her tone dripping with condescension.
I feel my face flush, and my hands clench into fists under the table. Even after everything I've said to them, they still are acting this way. I hate always feeling like I have to live up to these stupid expectations. Michael grabs my hand, unballing my fist and linking our fingers. I look up and I open my mouth to speak.
"You know, if you guys actually cared, you'd know that Naomi is a hard worker and her artwork on average goes for a couple thousand dollars per painting. You say all these things like you care about her well being, but she's actually doing really will without you and your criticism." Michael tells her, standing up for me. Aunt Tina's jaw drops as she stammers for a response.
"I'm just saying, she needs a stable job. Her finances rely on whether she makes a good painting or not and she could at any moment in time lose-"
"Hello, hello, hellooooo!" Ashanti interrupts her, tapping her hand on the table. "It's 2023, right? Oh yeah, it is! Yet here you old women are here being bitter and ugly." Teresa nods and opens her mouth to speak as well.
"So many women nowadays are smashing stereotypes left and right. What happened to supporting each other as women? You both just see someone happily living their life you just have to shit on them!" She says, covering Jesse's ears. Mason and Matthew giggle at hearing the profanity. Just as the argument threatens to escalate, Grandmother stands and puts down her utensils.
"Now that's enough, everyone." She demands and everyone falls silent. "Naomi is a grown woman, capable of making her own life decisions. It's her life, and she has the right to choose her own path. You all have lived your lives already and they are nowhere near perfect. Patrice, you're divorced and you've been bitter ever since. Pat your daughter has a beautiful family and is living happily but you always manage to say something to put her down. She's doing an amazing job as a mother, perhaps even better than you." Aunt pat looks down at her plate, not saying anything.
"And Tina you never even got married! You kept pushing all of your ambitions on Ashanti and she grew up not being her true self. All she wanted was your approval and you never even tell her she's done a good job. Her success may be from what you pushed her to do, but Ashanti is a remarkable woman who is allowed to have ambitions of her own." Grandmother points to Aunt Tina and she avoids eye contact.
"These children are the future and shaping the world and you're trying so hard to live through them because you didn't live your lives the way you wanted to. Angie," She points to my mother. "You have raise a smart, beautiful, and talented daughter and she is making her mark on the world. You did such an amazing job raising her, but you need to do a better job at defending her as well. That's your baby girl, and you don't even notice how much your sisters make her feel bad about herself."
"Ashanti, Teresa, Naomi, I've got some words for you three as well. Indeed these women haven't been the kindest, but these are your mothers, you hear me. You treat them with respect, always. Now, that doesn't mean to let them walk all over you and I'm proud of you girls for looking out for each other, but never is it acceptable to call them names or to curse at them." She tells us sternly. She looks over at Daniel and he looks back at her, wondering what he did.
"Daniel, you have been the family's golden child all your life. You haven't had to deal with a lot of what these young ladies did, but if you see something, you better speak up! There is no being neutral when it comes to you cousins and your little sister. Especially your sister!" She lectures him as he nods, looking over at us.
"James, you are a wonderful match for my grandbaby Teresa. I am so happy she was able to find you and create a gorgeous family. Remember that your wife is number one always, and teach your kids to respect their mother. And Michael." She turns to him and he raises his eyebrows a bit. "Ever since you came and started getting close to my Naomi, she has been happier than I've seen her in years. If you're serious about liking her, you better protect her happiness, because for too long, Mimi hasn't had that type of trust and protection." Michael looks at me and nods his head as well.
"We are a family. We're all we got. So, shape up and love each other, or things will get really ugly around here." Grandmother says, concluding her speech and sitting down. It's silent for a moment and no one moves. I can see the shame on Aunt Tina and Pat's faces, even my mothers. They mumble apologies and we all agree to move past the tension, in an effort to mend our family. I catch Grandmother's eye and she smiles at me.
I mouth the words, "Thank you," to her and she nods at me. I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for her, as she's always been my biggest supporter. I feel Michael squeeze my hand reassuringly and I smile at him.
As dinner draws to a close, Michael leans over, bringing my hand to his lips and gently kissing my knuckles.
"You handled that well," He whispers, his breath warm on my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "Your family clearly has their ups and downs, but it's obvious that you are loved by many. And I can see why. You're strong, talented, and beautiful inside out." He tells me, flashing a charming smile at me. My cheeks flush at his words, and I feel a giddy smile spread across my face.
"Thank you, Michael. That really means a lot, coming from you. I don't know how many times I can say it, but I'm really grateful that I met you and got to get to know you." I tell him and I lean in and kiss his cheek. He puts his arm around my shoulder and presses a kiss to my temple as sit at the table still.
"Hey, last ones at the table have to clean it up!" Ashanti calls from the kitchen. Michael and I look at each other and burst out laughing, shaking our heads as we stand up and start cleaning off the table.
Later, Michael and I are relaxing in the living room with Teresa, Ashanti, Daniel, and James. With Michaels arm around me, I feel a sense of contentment as we reminisce over the events these past few days. We playfully tease Ashanti about her outburst at the market and we talk about our favorite memories as well. It really feels like the end to a cheesy Hallmark movie.
Michael leans into my ear and whispers, "So, about our flight tomorrow morning. I may have gotten you a little something else to go along with it." I raise an eyebrow and look at him.
"A little something else?" I question. He leads me upstairs to his guest room and opens his closet. It holds several shopping bags and I open them to find brand-new clothes. "Michael, what? Why did you buy these?" I ask him. He chuckles at my shocked reaction.
"I know you most likely only packed enough for your trip here, but I want you to have options when we go to LA. I've got a lot planned for us and I didn't want you to have to worry about a thing." He explains. "I also wanted to spoil you, I think it's become my new hobby." He jokes. I stand up and turn to him, pouting. He raises an eyebrow but then I wrap my arms around his waist and bury my face in his chest. He laughs a bit as he holds me close to him.
"Why are you so perfect~" I ask in a playful whine, looking up at him.
"I'm far from perfect, sweetheart," he tells me with a smile. "Just head over heels, like Aunt Tina said." He leans down and presses a gentle kiss to my forehead, pulling me even closer. I cringe at his words and giggle.
"Ew, no. We don't use that phrase anymore." I tell him as I pretend to barf. Michael chuckles at my over the top reaction and faked a look of hurt, clutching his chest dramatically.
"Oh, yep- you got me right in the heart-" He grunts as he pretends to die. I roll my eyes at him.
"Whatever." I giggle and try to walk away, but he grabs my hand and pulls me back in. He locks his arms around me so I can't escape and starts trailing kisses on my neck, making his way to my lips. I fight back as best as I can, but I eventually give in, giggling against his lips.
We continue to kiss passionately, his hands roaming across my body, relishing the feeling of my skin under his fingertips. Eventually, I pull away, slightly out of breath, but completely enamored with him.
"Sorry, I couldn't help it. You taste so good," He murmurs, his voice husky and filled with desire. "We should probably get to packing, we have an early day tomorrow." Michael's hands rest on my hips, his thumbs trailing over my curves.
"Yeah, you're right. Cause I'm goin' to LA!" I squeal excitedly and he grins at my enthusiasm, feeling a mix of excitement and affection swelling in his chest.
"Yep, and it's gonna be the best trip of your life. That's a guarantee." He winks at me and plants a few more kisses on my lips before detaching himself from me, though not without sneaking a playful pat on my butt as I walk away. I giggle and turn back to him. "Come on, let's get packing.
The rest of the day, everyone is preparing to leave. Teresa and her family are leaving tonight, as well as Ashanti, claiming she has business to attend to. I give my cousins a warm goodbye and we all promise to keep in touch. My aunts are silent for the rest of the night, which is a nice change for once. I finish up packing and Daniel, Michael and I spend time talking by the fireplace. Eventually, we all retire to our rooms, resting up for the next day.
In the morning, Grandmother is up early and cooks a hearty meal for those who haven't left yet. We thank her and eat up, knowing this might be the last homecooked meal we have for a while. Daniel was driving back to LA, but he offered to drop us off at the airport. We took our time saying goodbye to the family and I made a point to even say goodbye to my aunts. It's better to leave on a good note.
As I stand in the living room, waiting for Michael to come down with the rest of our bags. I pause for a moment, taking in the familiar, comforting surroundings—the well-worn couch, the stack of board games, and the photos on the mantle, both old and new, all reminders of the eventful holiday I've just had.
I hear footsteps on the stairs and see Michael descending the stairs.
"Ready to go, beautiful?" He asks, pulling me into a warm embrace. I encircle my arms around his neck, feeling my hear skip a beat.
"Yeah, just about." I smile, taking in your familiar scent, leaning up and capturing your lips in a kiss. Daniel clears his throat noisily from the foyer, causing us to break apart.
"Ahem, I'm happy for you two, really, but we've got a schedule to keep, folks. Time to hit the road." He tells us and we chuckle, grabbing the last of our stuff and putting it in his car. We say our last goodbyes before heading out to the car. Michael and I sit in the backseat of Dan's car, getting comfy as the car starts. As we pull off, I watch as my childhood home disappears around the corner, bidding it a silent farewell. I felt a twinge of sadness for the difficulties I faced these past few days, but I feel Michael take my hand in his and my mood is replaced with excitement for what's to come.
When we arrive at the airport, Daniel helps Michael unload our luggage. I give him a big hug, saying goodbye for now.
"Thank you for everything, Daniel. Not just for bringing Michael into my life, but just being my brother and looking out for me. I love you."
Daniel returns the hug, his voice a bit gruff with affection. "Love you to, Mimi. Now go and have some fun. Just remember to call, text, or send a smoke signal now and then to let me know you're okay." He tells me. I nod and he daps up Michael, claiming they'll see each other at work. As we grab our stuff and walk towards the entrance, Daniel calls after us.
"Hey! Take care of my little sister, or I'll come looking for you, Jordan," Daniel warns with a playful growl.
"Will do, I won't let anything happen to her," Michael assures him. And with that, we wave him goodbye. I am unable to wipe my smile off my face as we check in and make our way through customs. We board our plane and settle into our seats and I look out the window at the world outside as we wait to lift off.
"This is it," Michael says, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Our first of many trips together. I can't wait to show you all the best spots in LA." My heart races as I look into Michael's eyes.
"I'm so excited. I can't wait to see what's in store for us." I reply and we lace our fingers together, smiling warmly at each other. I feel incredibly fortunate to have Michael by my side— a man who seems to understand me so well and who has already woven himself into the fabric of my life and family.
As the plane ascends, I gaze out the window, watching the snowcapped mountains give way to fluffy white clouds. I feel a sense of peace and contentment, knowing that whatever lay ahead, I have the love and support of my family, and now Michael, to see me through it all.
Little did I know that this trip would mark the beginning of a new chapter in my life—one where I never have to go through anything alone anymore, one where I find true happiness and realize just how blessed I truly am.
As I think back on the events of this trip, it really had a little of everything. We had a lot of fun, a bit of drama, a budding romance. When I look back, this truly was a December to remember...
On the eleventh day of Christmas…

𝔰𝔶𝔫𝔬𝔭𝔰𝔦𝔰 ➛ Lloyd's been working a lot lately and rarely coming home. It's been a pretty lonely December, so you take matters into your own hands. You'll get his attention one way or another...
a/n - you ever been fucked till you dumb? Well this is the best way I can describe that. I hope y’all enjoy!

The December nights are cold, but Lloyd's absence makes them a lot colder. His work consumes him entirely, leaving me alone in our home, yearning for that man's deadly touch that seems worlds away. The city lights are my only comfort, but tonight, I plan to change that.
The hum of surveillance screens and tapping of keyboards fills the dark room as Lloyd sits back, holding a photo of his target and waiting to hear some good news. He swirls half a glass of whiskey in his hand as he lets out a harsh breath of impatience in response to the employees' failure to useful present information. His brow furrows as he rubs his temples.
"Come on, guys, give me something. Anything!" He shouts loudly in an irritated tone. It'd been a while since he had a target this difficult to find. The employees flinch at the hostility in his voice and glance at each other. A young man, one of the employees, hesitantly raises his head from his screen to make eye contact with Lloyd, as he attempts to speak up. The man's words come out shaky and hesitant as he speaks in a trembling voice, clearly afraid of Lloyd's reaction to whatever he has to say.
"W- Well, Sir," He stutters nervously before speaking in a soft tone with an uncertain look in his eyes, "...We...we're trying... b-but we haven't been able to... track him down. It's almost impossible t- to find a lead on him..."
"Almost impossible," Lloyd echoes menacingly as he stands up, chuckling to himself and setting his glass down. His expression becomes even more cold and heartless as his intimidating glare turns towards the young worker. "I don't give a donkey's dick how hard it is to find him! I don't pay you shitheads for your excuses. Now, do your goddamn jobs and we can all go home, sound good?" He says in a condescending tone.
The young man lowers his head out of fear, remaining silent along with everyone else in the room No one dares to speak another word, not wanting to anger their boss any further. The only sound to be heard is the harsh breathing of Lloyd as he slumps back down in his seat, his icy blue eyes glaring at the large screen, searching for any ideas on where to find this guy. He takes another sip from his glass. It seems like this is going to be a long night.
Meanwhile, at home, I find myself dressed in my best lingerie, moving through the place while drinking a glass of red wine. I check myself out in the mirror in the hallway, smiling contently as I tease my hair a bit. The lights are dimmed and I make my way to the living room, where I have my laptop set up.
Sitting on the couch, I set my glass down and start tapping away on my computer. A mischievous smirk plays on my face as I access the screens at Lloyd's location, causing them to go dark for a moment.
At the center of the room, seated at his desk, Lloyd notices the sudden flickering of the screens in front of him before they all simultaneously go dark.
"What the hell happened?!" He asks in irritation. He glances around searching for a source of the interference, unable to determine what the issue was.
"You!" He points to one of his employees, who looks nervously back at him. "Get these shits back on now!" He demands as he stands up abruptly, his chair falling back from the force.
"I- I- I'm trying, Sir. It seems like something is interfering with the connection-" He's unable to finish his sentence as he's grabbed by the collar and Lloyd glares angrily into his eyes. He throws out threats of what will happen if the screens aren't up and running in the next ten seconds, not quite realizing that his screens are being accessed remotely by a rather clever woman who seems to have a plan brewing in her mind.
The terrified man struggles to speak while trying to free himself from Lloyd's iron grip. Lloyd lets out a harsh growl as he watches his workers try to fix the problem quickly. The atmosphere is thick, most of them too scared to concentrate properly under the pressure.
In an instant, the screens come back on. However, instead of footage of the target, it seems they are broadcasting live surveillance of Lloyd's home. Confused, he lets go of his employee, staring at the screen. His eyes widen when he sees me, wrapped in a black silk robe, sprawled out on the bed as I sip some wine.
"What the hell?" Lloyd is taken by surprise as he's unable to take his eyes off the screen, completely perplexed by the unexpected scene. He raises an eyebrow as he watches me lounging on the bed, my seductive red lips slowly sipping from my glass as I look directly into the camera. He knows this is my doing. Suddenly, his anger and frustration from the previous moments dissipate.
His employees look around at each other in confusion, unsure of what was going on.
"Goddamn it," Lloyd whispers to himself, annoyed with the situation, yet somehow drawn to the sight of my bare legs peeking out from the robe. My dark skin gives off a soft glow in the low lighting, mesmerizing everyone in the room. Still unable to look away, he takes a few steps closer to the screen, his gaze following every single movement of mine.
I bite my lip as I tug on the tie that holds my robe together, causing it to fall open. Underneath, he and everyone in the room can see my lacy red lingerie on the screen. There's an audible gasp from all the employees in the room as the screen lights up with the unexpected visuals, everyone's eyes immediately drawn to my seductive undergarments that cling to my body perfectly and reveal every curve.
Lloyd is completely captivated by the sight, my eyes shooting naughty glances at the camera as if begging him to come to me. The room is completely still as everyone stares at the screen, too stunned by my sexy reveal to do anything else.
Diverting his attention to the group and realizing that the entire room has their gaze fixed on my show on the monitor, Lloyd furrows his brow in anger.
"What the hell are you looking at?!" He shouts furiously, his darkening glare sending chills down their spines as they realize what they'd been doing. They immediately turn away from the screen and nervously look elsewhere. Lloyd looks back at the screen. I take another sip of wine before tipping the glass, letting the wine trickle down my gorgeous body as I continue to stare into the camera. The more he watches, the more aroused he becomes. The image of me teasingly stroking my body burned into his mind, reminding him of what was waiting for him at home. He just better not keep me waiting too long.
Lloyd swallows hard as he reaches into his pocket and dials my number into his phone, pressing it tightly to his ear and waiting to hear my voice.
I smirk as I hear my phone vibrating beside me. I take my eyes off the camera, answering the phone as I toss my hair over my shoulder.
"Hello~" He almost lets out a groan from the sound of my sultry voice. His eyes are still glued to the screen as he watches me cross my legs. Despite the distance between us, he can't stop himself from fantasizing about every single thing he'd do to me if he were with me.
"Why, hello..." Lloyd starts in a husky tone, his words coming out a bit slower than usual. "Being naughty now, are we?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about..." I lie, looking back into the camera. "I'm just sitting here, enjoying a glass of wine. How's work? You must be so busy right now." While my tone is innocent, my mischievous smile gives me away.
"Uh-huh..." He can't hide his smirk as he notices my sarcasm. He knows I'm being playful and trying to stir him up. Despite his frustration over the earlier situation, he can't help but find my teasingly seductive attitude amusing and attractive. "Work is... work. Busy as always." He pauses for a moment to chuckle to himself. "But, the funniest thing just happened over here. Care to guess what that is?"
"Oh, baby, you know I'm bad at guessing games. I always guess wrong." I reply, fake pouting. I can almost hear the smirk on his face growing wider. He's enjoying this back-and-forth teasing, it's hot! It's a game, like a dance, I have to keep moving to his rhythm.
"That's okay, cupcake," Lloyd replies, his tone turning seductive. "If you guess wrong, I have a few ways to make you... beg for the correct answer~" I can feel the heat rising all over my body, his words slowly and menacingly turning into something more suggestive and threatening. I try not to show how much the sound of his smooth voice and cocky attitude is affecting me, but I'm getting turned on more and more by every word he speaks. I almost lose concentration on what I was planning, but I stand my ground.
"I have no idea what could be going on over there, honey. Did you get that target you were after?" I ask coyly, standing up from the bed and walking over to the nightstand to set my glass down. I put the phone on speaker as I let my robe fall to the floor, revealing a thong with a chain with Lloyd's name engraved in it. I act as if I don't know the camera is there, or that he's in a room full of people and I climb back onto the bed, leaning back against the pillows.
"Not yet, Princess. I've got a new task tonight," He tells me, making me curious.
"Oh really? And what's that?" I inquire.
"Santa's gotta punish someone who's on the naughty list." He hangs up the phone, and I have to try and contain my excitement, knowing I'm still on their screens. I stand back up, taking my glass to the kitchen to refill it while I eagerly wait for Lloyd's arrival.
Once my glass is filled, I make my way back to the bedroom, picking a record out from our collection. I set it on the record player and set the mood, smiling to myself. It's only a matter of time before he gets here and, knowing him, he's running every red light and cutting everyone off to get to me. As the record starts to play, I sit back on the bed, letting the sensual music fill the room. I close my eyes as I lean back, fantasizing about the things Lloyd is gonna do to me. I picture what will happen when he first walks through that door, finding me with my legs spread and his name engraved on my thong. Just the thought excites me.
“And there she is…" Lloyd mutters under his breath as enters the room and spots me, sitting on the bed, looking incredibly delicious. He leans against the doorframe, hands in his pockets as he smirks at me. I open my eyes and sit up, startled slightly by his sudden presence.
“You’re home early,” I say, regaining my composure. I try not to melt under his smoldering gaze as he stalks towards me.
“You miss me?” He questions with a crooked grin.
"Of course, I missed you. It's been a while since you've been home. A girl like me gets lonely pretty quick." I reply as I stand up, looking at him innocently.
"You poor thing," He teases sarcastically, his eyes running up and down my body as he looks down at me. He brings his fingers up and grazes the strap of my lingerie, caressing the fabric. He slides it off my shoulder and I can literally feel the heat radiating from his proximity to me as he stands towering over me, the smell of his cologne enveloping me.
"You must be so proud of yourself, Y/N..." He starts.
"For what, darling?" I feign ignorance as if I don't know exactly what he means. Without warning, Lloyd grabs me by the throat and pulls me towards him. I inhale sharply at the unexpected action as he leans down.
"That stunt you pulled was clever, cupcake. I'm impressed." He whispers against my neck. I feel the heat rushing to my cheeks as I hold onto his wrist to support myself. " I hope you're ready for the consequences~" I can literally feel the power of his hold on my neck as he brings his lips even closer to mine, making my throat tighten under his grip. His breath is hot against my skin as he breathes into my ear. His words send shivers through my core.
"You can play innocent all you want," He growls out lowly, his free hand moving down to grip my thigh possessively. Lloyd pulls me even closer against his growing bulge. "I'm gonna enjoy punishing you." I can't help but tremble slightly as his words fill me with a mix of excitement and fear. A smile widens across my face as I press myself against his crotch and lean into his touch, allowing myself to enjoy the feeling of his strong hands on my body and the adrenaline rushing through me. It's a challenge to keep my knees from buckling.
"You know, I've always wondered what it would be like to break you." His grip on my throat tightens slightly as his hand moves up my thigh, dangerously close to where he knows my body aches for him. "But first, you're going to get on your knees for me." I gulp audibly as he releases my throat, leaning against his body. "On your knees... now..." The fact that I'm unable to resist him is even hotter. I slowly move down till my eyes are level with this groin.
"That's a good girl," Lloyd's fingers tangle themselves into my hair, pulling my head back and forcing me to look up at him. He starts to undo his belt buckle and unzips his pants. I don't break eye contact as I reach up to pull his boxers down, revealing his thick, hard length to me. My mouth falls open instinctively, watering with anticipation. His free hand slides down my cheek, tracing the line of my jaw.
"I'm going to take you apart piece by piece and I'm gonna love every second of it." He guides my head forwards, forcing his throbbing cock into my eager mouth. He groans deeply as I take him in all the way, his grip on my hair tightening. He starts to thrust gently, pushing deeper into my throat each time. I moan around him as my tongue swirls against his skin. Tears prick the corners of my eyes as my throat stretches to accommodate his size.
Lloyd thrusts into my mouth slowly, inching deeper every time and barely allowing me room to breathe. I grip his thighs tightly as I focus hard to prevent myself from gagging. I look up at him with doe eyes as his cock pulses in my mouth.
His eyes darken further, watching my struggle. He pulls back slightly, giving me a moment to catch my breath before pushing back in deeper, causing me to let out muffled moan as he hits the back of my throat. He looks down at me, his breath heavy as he picks up speed. "That's it, baby. Take all of me."
As I feel the familiar sting in my throat, I can't help but whimper around his cock. My eyes roll back, my body shuddering with need. I try to match his rhythm, bobbing my head up and down on his thick shaft. I squeeze my eyes shut as he assaults my throat, slobber dribbling down the sides of my mouth.
Lloyd's fingers dig into my hair as he leans forward, his hips slamming against my face. He growls low in his throat, the vibrations causing my entire body to tremble. With one last forceful thrust, pulling my head as close as possible, he finally releases me. I gasp heavily as I fall forward onto my hands, whimpering softly as I catch my breath.
Lloyd's breathing is ragged as he watches me recover. His hands shake slightly as he tries to regain control. “On the bed, naughty girl. We’re not finished yet.” Trembling slightly, I scramble onto the bed, my body aching for more of his touch. He tosses he’s shirt to the side and steps out of his pants and boxers, flexing his muscles slightly as he approaches me. My eyes never leave his as he climbs onto the bed, towering above me. “Uh-uh, princess. Turn over and toot that ass up real nice for me.”
I obey his command, rolling over onto my stomach. My heart is pounding in anticipation as I feel him approach from behind. He unclips my bra in one swift motion and I toss it onto the floor. Lloyd's hands run over his engraved name on my thong and then grip my hips tightly, moving the fabric to the side as he positions himself at my entrance. He rubs his length against my soaked slit, eliciting another whimper from me. With a growl, he forces himself inside, inch by inch, stretching me into submission.
“Oh fuck, Y/N, you’re so fucking tight,” he groans, pounding into me. I arch my back, trying to take more of him. His hands roam down my sides, digging into my flesh as he takes me harder and faster. I moan out as my hands ball up the sheets. The headboard slams into the wall as Lloyd pounds into me, his skin slapping against mine. He leans over to grab my hips, pulling me back into him.
He forces my face into the bedsheets as he pushes his full length into me. My screams of pleasure reverberate off the walls, the only other sounds heard being the sloppy smacking of his cock into my wetness. I feel the climax rising within me, my pussy dripping as he pushes me closer and closer to the edge. I heave heavily as I try my hardest to hold it in. But Lloyd doesn’t make it easy.
He smacks my ass hard, leaving a visible handprint in my dark skin. The sting of it only serves to turn me on even more.
“You’re such a slut, getting turned on this much by your punishment!” He grunts as he smacks my ass again, causing me to yelp in pleasure.
“Is this what you wanted, cupcake?” He questions as he thrusts harder and yanks my head back by my thick curls. “You wanted my attention so bad you went and messed with my toys?” I gasp as I feel him hit that spot inside me over and over again. I can only respond with unintelligible nonsense between my moans, Lloyd’s hips slamming into my ass with punishing force. He's relentless, driving into me with a fierce determination that leaves me breathless.
Unable to hold it any longer, my orgasm flows over me and I soak him, the sheets, and my thong with my juices. Although he doesn’t slow down. Instead he continues to drill into me, splashing my arousal all over the sheets. He uses his grip on my hair to pull me towards him as he fucks me senseless.
My voice comes out hoarse and strangled as I feel lightheaded. “I-I can’t take any more,” I manage to choke out between pants, my voice shaky.
"Oh, you can take it," he growls, pulling out only to slam back in with a force that steals what little breath I had left. His hands grip my hips tightly, his fingers digging into my flesh as he takes me roughly. As if sensing that I was about to collapse, he picks up the pace, driving deeper and harder. My body tenses, anticipation coursing through me.
"Lloyd!" I scream his name, my body quaking violently under his assault as my second orgasm crashes over me like a tidal wave. My voice echoes in the room as my walls clench around him. He groans deep in his throat, his own release imminent.
Lloyd grunts and grits his teeth as he comes, his hips ramming into me with an unyielding ferocity. He bites down hard on his lip to suppress a scream as he spills his cum deep inside me. The force of his orgasm is enough to send shudders through my body. He lies there for a few moments, his weight pinning me to the bed.
Finally, he pulls out of me with a loud, satisfied moan. His hands run through his sweat-drenched hair, abs glistening in the light. He pants heavily, watching as my body falls in a slumped heap on the bed, cum dripping out of my cunt.
“Now, you gonna be a good girl for me and let Daddy get his work done?” He asks me in a husky voice as a small smirk plays at the corners of his mouth. I’m still catching my breath, looking over at him with hooded eyes. I give him a slow nod, biting my lip gently.
“Good girls use their voice~” Lloyd reminds me, placing his hand on my hip and caressing it.
“Yes, daddy… I’ll behave.” I respond, knowing full well I intend to act up again.
“That’s a good girl,” he praises, rubbing my back softly.
“Do you have to go back right now?” I inquire as I watch him stand up.
Lloyd shakes his head, “No, not yet. I have some time. I’ll deal with that shit show tomorrow.” He smirks at me, his eyes filled with mischief. He gives me a wink as he walks out of the room to go get something to clean me up with.
Meanwhile, back at work, all of Lloyd’s employees stare at the live footage of his room, shocked, embarrassed, and slightly turned on by the show. If only I’d remembered to turn off the broadcast. Oh well…

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist
Part 3 Here

Ashanti wipes away her tears. "I appreciate that, Naomi. Honestly, I really think that you're such an amazing person. I'm just really bad at saying it." She says with a faint smile. "I'm really sorry for everything I put you through before and after Michael got here. I really do love you. Please forgive me?"
"Of course, I forgive you, Ashanti." I pull her into a hug, a real one. She hesitates for a second, before hugging me back. I give her a little squeeze as I missed this feeling with my cousin. She doesn't let go for a moment, before finally speaking again.
"Hey... can I ask you a favor?" She asks, her voice soft.
Yeah, what is it?" I reply, prepared for whatever she might ask of me. Ashanti pulls back, looking a bit vulnerable.
"Could I... come live with you?" She looks at me with a nervous smile. "I really want to just start somewhere fresh, but I also want to mend our relationship as well. It wouldn't be for long, just until I get back on my feet, but I just really need to get out of my old place." I return the smile, genuinely touched by her sincerity.
"I'd like that, Ashanti. I'd be happy to help out in any way I can." We both hug once more and stand up from the couch. "And, you know what? I think I have an idea on how you can make up with your other cousins as well." I smirk at her and she looks at me, ready to hear what I have to say.
The two of us start planning the perfect way to reconcile with everyone and get closer as well. Ashanti sends out a bunch of texts to Teresa, James, Dan, and Michael, asking if they'd want to join us. Within a minute, everyone responded and meet us in the living room. Ashanti and I ignore the looks we get from our aunts in the kitchen and focus on the task at hand.
"What's going on?" Teresa asks, taking a seat on the couch. She's followed by the others, a little curious as to why they're here. Ashanti smiles and steps forward, a little nervous. I give her a reassuring nod and she takes a deep breath.
"First off, I'd like to apologize for yesterday." Everyone is a little taken aback. Ashanti continues. "I was mean, bitter, and ungrateful for the love you guys have shown me. I was out of line and none of you deserved to witness that or be spoken to like that. And for that, I'm sorry." She looks down at her feet. "I know I've been a real piece of work these past couple days. But I'm also going through a lot right now and it's no excuse for how I've been treating you. I want to make it up to everyone. So..." She pauses for a second and looks up to smile at everyone. "I want to take all of you out to a Christmas brunch! On me!"
Everyone is shocked at Ashanti's proposal, but they look so happy to hear the news. James and Dan are the first to respond.
"Sounds great," Teresa says, sounding a bit giddy.
"I'm down," Agrees Dan, smiling at Ashanti. One by one, each of them join in.
"I'm always up for free food." Michael adds, jokingly. We all share a bit of a laugh.
"I'd love to go, but I told the boys and Jessie I'd take them to see the Grinch today. But, you guys go have fun." James says, but he doesn't look bummed at all. Ashanti seems disappointed at first, but quickly recovers with a smile.
"That's okay. Maybe some other time." She says, staying positive. James leaves to go get the kids and the energy in the room shifts as they discuss plans for the Christmas brunch. Everyone contributes ideas about the perfect venue, sharing laughter and excitement. The air is light, filled with the promise of a fun time.
An hour later, we all pile into Daniel's car and head to the venue. It's a cute, festive restaurant decorated with twinkling lights and holiday decorations. It has a similar feel to the Christmas market. As we all walk in, we're greeted by an incredibly merry hostess.
"Hello!!! Do you have a reservation?" She asks and Ashanti nods, stepping forward.
"Yes, under the name Ashanti. I called earlier." She explains.
"Perfect! We are ready for you!" We all smile to each other as the hostess guides us to a table with a gorgeous view. The place is filled with people in Christmas attire, eating holiday-themed meals and enjoying the atmosphere. We're seated at a booth where Dan, Ashanti, and Teresa sit on one side and Michael and I sit on the other.
We're each handed a menu and the waiter takes our drink orders while we browse. Teresa strikes up a conversation.
"So, what are you guys planning on ordering? I'm kinda leaning towards these Christmas pancakes." Teresa points to the item on the menu and Daniel rolls his eyes.
"You would go for the pancakes, T." He teases with a smirk. Teresa gives him a playful jab in his side.
"That's supposed to be an insult?" She argues with a laugh.
"To be fair, you've been obsessed with loaded pancakes since we were kids." I add, shrugging my shoulders.
"I don't see what the problem is. It's the holidays and I have exactly a day and a half before I have to go back to my diet. I deserve this." She puts her hands up in defense and we all laugh. "Ugh, it's so crazy that we're all going back in just two days." Teresa sighs and we all nod.
"Aww, I'm gonna miss everyoneeeee." Ashanti pouts and puts her arms around Dan and Teresa, pulling them in. I giggle at them and sigh as well.
"I agree. I really enjoyed being back with you guys. And getting to meet you too, Michael. " I say with a smile as I look over at him. He returns the smile and grabs my hand under the table.
"I've really enjoyed being here as well. It's been nice getting to know you. All of you." He looks around the table. "Y'all didn't have to let me stay, but you did. I'm real grateful for that." He gives my hand a squeeze. The feeling of his skin on mine makes me feel butterflies.
"Ahh, come on, man. You know you part of the family now. You're welcome anytime." Dan assures him. It gets silent for a moment as the realization sets in.
"Okay, that's enough of that. Guys, remember, we still have a day to be together. Let's make the most of it!" Ashanti says before the mood gets any dimmer. Everyone nods in agreement as the drinks arrive and we order our food. The conversation between all of us flows naturally, but I can't help but feel a bit of sadness. It's true, we do only have one day left. So what will that mean for me and Michael. I know we've only met recently, but I feel like what we have is special. At least I hope it is. I'm lost in my thoughts when I'm snapped out of it by Teresa.
"You good, Naomi?" Everyone at the table looks at me as I come back down to earth. I put on a smile and nod.
"Yeah! I'm fine, guys." I reply, hoping they don't realize my true feelings. Michael glances over at me, curious about my thoughts. He's trying to read my reaction but I've always been very good at hiding my emotions. Even though I might've fooled everyone else, he seems to have seen through my act. He tugs on my hand a bit, sliding out of the booth while everyone chats.
"We'll be right back. Gotta step out for a second." Michael announces as he stands up. I follow him through the restaurant and he leads me outside before turning to face me. The air is brisk and the wind is chill, but it's also refreshing.
"What's wrong?" He asks quietly, stepping in closer. I hesitate for a moment, unsure of what to say.
"Nothing, I'm fine." I respond, knowing I'm lying and that he knows it too. He looks down at me, his eyes searching mine.
"You're a terrible liar, yknow that?" He chuckles, brushing a hair out my face. I bite my lip as I search my thoughts for a way out of this situation. We were having such a nice time and I don't want to ruin it. "Come on, I know something's bothering you." He presses me for an answer and I sigh heavily, my breath visible in the cold.
"It's just... I've had so much fun here with you these last couple days, but the reality is..." I hesitate, unsure of if I want to fully admit my feelings.
"You're afraid of going back and not seeing me again, aren't you?" He asks, not bothering to wait for me to finish. I slowly nod, avoiding his gaze. This is embarrassing. It feels like we're two teenagers who just want to keep hanging out, even though we know the end is inevitable.
"It's silly, but I'm worried that this is just a little Christmas crush that will fade away as soon as I get on that plane." I admit. He frowns a bit at those words.
"A crush," He repeats, sounding a little hurt. "Do you really think that's all this is?" He asks, holding my hands in his. "Because this feels like much more than that."
"But we have two completely different lives. How will it even work? What will people think?" I question, worry written on my features. He lets out a scoff and I look up at him with my eyebrows raised.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be funny, but who cares?" He takes my face in his hands and runs his thumb gently over my cheek. "Naomi, I'm not sure what this is exactly, but I know one thing for sure. I want you. I want to get to know everything about that beautiful mind of yours and I want to hear every exciting, interesting thing that you have to say. I may have just met you recently, but I feel something special between us and I feel like I'd regret it for the rest of my life if I don't explore it."
I'm taken aback by his words. He looks so honest and so genuine. I've always had trouble with relationships and even though I want nothing more than to believe him, it's hard. I hesitate until he makes me look into his eyes. I can't help but to melt.
"I don't care about the distance or other people's bullshit opinions. You're worth the effort, Naomi. I can't promise you that we'll end up living happily ever after, but I can promise to give it a fair shot."
The idea of life together is tempting and a little bit scary. I've never felt this way before. Not with any of my last boyfriend and not with the guys who've taken interest in me. This feels special, something that only I get to experience.
"What if it fails?" I inquire, worry etched into my voice. He pulls me in close and hugs me.
"Life's too short to worry about what might happen. Even if things don't work out in the long run, I'd much rather know I gave this a real chance than regret never doing anything at all." He releases me and we're just staring at each other, my eyes stuck in his gaze. I feel every one of Michael's words sink into my skin. It feels like his love is seeping into my bones and like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I feel so safe when he hugs me and I don't want to let go.
Without thinking about it, I lean in and kiss him softly. His face brightens at my unexpected advance. He looks so delighted, like this is exactly what he wanted me to do. His lips are soft and sweet and his grip tightens around me. It's a kiss filled with such passing that it makes my heart flutter. I'm filled with so many different emotions, but this just feels right. I don't pull away, but he breaks the kiss to catch his breath.
Our eyes meet slowly as we come back to our senses. His lips curve into a soft smile and my heart's racing. The kiss was brief, but it sent my emotions into hyperdrive. I feel lightheaded, almost dizzy.
"That definitely wasn't a 'holiday crush' kind of kiss. That was a 'I really like you and want to see where this goes' kind of kiss." He whispers, smiling warmly at me.
"I like that kind of kiss." I reply with a blush, causing Michael to chuckle and pull me into another hug. I can't help but to press myself into his chest, taking in his scent. It's intoxicating and soothing, causing me to calm down a little bit.
"Good. Because I plan on giving you a lot more of those." We hug for a few moments before realizing that we're still standing outside the restaurant in the cold.
"We should probably get inside. The food's probably at the table already." Michael nods, pulling me in tightly for one last moment before we break apart.
"Yeah, we better get back inside before they start to wonder where we went." He says as he takes my hand and we return inside the restaurant. The group is engaged in a lively conversation, and as Michael and I take our seats, there's a subtle shift in the dynamic. Our connection is now more apparent, and it's met with knowing smiles from Teresa, Dan, and Ashanti.
The brunch continues, filled with laughter, shared stories, and newfound closeness. The worries about our impending departure are momentarily pushed aside as we savor the present. We all indulge in a variety of holiday-themed dishes, from the Santa pancakes to the Christmas tree salads to the fruit cakes. Only Dan got the fruit cake and we all clowned him for it.
After a great meal, the group decides to explore some of the shops in town to do some last minute gift searching. It's a short walk from the restaurant to the shops, which are located in a nearby plaza. Ashanti, Teresa, and I get excited once we see a clothing shop and we rush over to it, leaving the boys behind. They shake their heads and follow behind us.
The store is filled with a variety of stylish winter clothing and accessories. As we stop to take a look, Ashanti is already pulling pieces off the rack and handing them to Daniel and Michael to hold. Teresa and I browse around and laugh a little at some of the ridiculous holiday outfits they have stocked.
We all have so much fun trying on clothes and making each other laugh, teasing each other and goofing around. Teresa makes a beeline for some ugly, light-up leggings and Ashanti ends up trying on a cute Santa dress. I end up in an adorable elf outfit with a pointy hat and bell. The boys somehow found their own costumes, Daniel in a Rudolph onesie and Michael in a full Santa costume, fake beard and everything. We find a large mirror and take silly photos in it, just having a good time.
We hit a few other shops, buying a few things here and there and getting them gift-wrapped. I find myself having more fun than I've had in a very long time and I'm grateful to have my family and Michael here with me.
The shopping ends up taking longer than I anticipated, but it's all worthwhile because of how much of a good time we all had together. By the time we're wrapping up, it's almost dark and about time for us to get going. We head back to the car and head home.
When we arrive at the house, we put all of our shopping in our rooms for us to wrap and head back downstairs. We're greeted warmly by Grandmother, who wastes no time putting us to work.
"Let's get this house ready for Christmas, shall we?" She tells us.
"Yes Ma'am." We all respond obediently. She proceeds to direct us to our tasks. We all get straight to work, cleaning the living room and sweeping the kitchen. After I'm done with my job, I set the kids up with a movie of The Grinch to keep them occupied while dinner is completed. I look over and see Michael helping out in the kitchen, chatting with my mom and effortlessly becoming a part of the family chaos. I catch his eye and he shoots me a wink, causing me to smile to back and look down bashfully.
After an hour or so, the house is looking spotless, and the smells of delicious food is wafting through the air. We all gather in the kitchen as the meal bell is run, standing in a large circle. Grandmother leads the proceedings with grace, her presence calming and loving. As she says, "Amen," she looks over at me and I can't help but to smile back at her.
Once we've prayed, dinner is served. We all sit down with plates full of delicious food. The dining table is completely full, with the twins sitting at the kitchen bar to eat and Jessie in her high chair. The room is filled with lively chatter and laughter. Aunt Tina and Pat avoid eye contact and conversation with me aside from a few snide comments, but I don't care. For once, their words don't have an effect on me.
It's a very heartwarming, Christmas filled atmosphere and I love the way that things are turning out. Michael is right next to me the whole time and I keep catching him glancing at me. The food is amazing, each dish a delight to our taste buds. We much away heartily, enjoying the evening together.
After dinner, Michael, James, and Daniel head upstairs for a few minutes, seeming to be planning something. I pay no mind to it, stepping into the kitchen to help clean up the kitchen with Teresa while Ashanti sits with Jessie in her lap in the living room. Jessie keeps trying to climb all over her, but she seems to be able to handle herself.
Daniel and James come back down the stairs and get our attention. We all stop what we're doing and look over at them.
"We have a surprise for everyone!" James announces and they direct our attention to the stairs. Coming down the stairs was Santa Claus with a red velvety bag slung over his shoulder. It's obviously Michael, but the kids go crazy with excitement.
"SANTA!!" Matthew shouts as he jumps off of the couch. Jessie squeals happily, running clumsily over to hug "Santa's" leg. He picks her up and smiles at her. I burst out laughing at the children's joyous reactions. It's pure and innocent and utterly wholesome. Michael plays the part well, holding jessie as she talks to him in her adorable toddler language. He brings her over into the living room and turns to face everyone.
"Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope everyone has been nice this year!" Everyone erupts in a cheer, the children giggling and laughing. Teresa watches with a genuine smile as she sees her kids meeting Santa. James is catching it all on his camera as well. Santa goes around giving gifts to the kids. The happily open their gifts and it's cute little trinkets that I assume he got from the Christmas market.
"Oh? What's this down here?" He says as he reaches into the bottom of the bag. "It looks like there's one more present in here. I wonder who it could be fore." We all look around curiously. He hands me a small gift, giving me a flirty wink and causing me to giggle. I tear the wrapping paper out of eager curiosity as I peel the wrapping.
Inside is a set of emerald earrings and a matching necklace from Tiffany and Co. I'm speechless for a moment, it feels like time stops for a second.
"Oh my God, Mi- I mean Santa! These are gorgeous!" I have to fight the urge to kiss him, knowing our families are watching. Instead, I smile widely at him as I try the necklace on, the metallic clasp settling nicely against my skin. The expression on his face is one of pure pride as he watches me admire my gift. His gaze falls to my neck as I place the necklace on. His eyes are stuck on me the whole time. He's not just admiring the jewelry, but the woman wearing them as well.
"Santa has very good taste, don't you think?" He asks, chuckling as he gives me a knowing smile.
"I couldn't agree more," I reply. The kids swarm him for a second, hugging his legs and thanking him for their gifts. After taking a few pics with Santa, the kids start to lose interest and wander away to play with their toys. Michael laughs as they run off.
"It's good to know that even Christmas can't hold the kid's attention for that long." He says, causing us all to laugh along with him. He heads back upstairs to get changed again and Ashanti and Teresa rush over to me to admire my new jewelry. They start asking me about what I'd wear them with and talking about how he must really like me. Eventually Michael comes back down in a grey long sleeve and a pair of plaid pajama pants.
The kids have all passed out due to exhaustion from the excitement and the older folks seemed to have gone into food comas. The rest of us sit in the living room in front of the TV with glasses of wine. Michael has taken a seat next to me, leaning back and putting his arm around me. We all put on some funny Christmas movies and enjoy each other's company. The wine loosens us up and the atmosphere is light-hearted.
The rest of the night feels like a blur. I feel comfortable on the couch and lean into Michael's side, my head resting on his shoulder as the movie goes on. Finding myself being a bit more affectionate than I'm use to, I plant a few kisses on his neck, making sure no one else is watching us. His hand runs up and down my side before resting on my hip as he smiles down at me. He pulls me a little closer and plants a kiss on my head. It just feels right to be here, snuggled up in Michael's arms. I don't have any worries in this moment, I'm just going to bask in this moment for as long as I can.

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist

The winter chill has settled over Brooklyn, New York, covering the streets in a layer of pristine snow. School has just gotten out for winter break and it seems like the crime has died down a bit, so Miles hasn't really had anything to do. Feeling a bit restless, he glances out of his window at the snowy world below. With a sigh, Miles reaches for his phone, deciding to make his day more interesting and text his best friend, Y/N.
Miles: "Yo, you busy?"
You were in your home, lounging in your room as you scroll on your phone. A notification shows up at the top of your screen and you see it's a message from Miles. You look at the text you received and raise an eyebrow, curious as to why he was asking.
Y/N: "Nah, I'm free right now. What's up?
Miles: "You wanna hang out? I'm bored..."
Y/N: "Yeah, I'm down. What did you have in mind?"
Miles: "Dunno, we could just chill at my house?"
You sigh at his suggestion, rolling your eyes and shaking your head.
Y/N: "I'm tired of being inside, I wanna go out somewhere. How 'bout that ice skating place that just opened a few weeks ago?"
Miles had to pause, contemplating on whether or not to go. But he decided that if it made you happy, he wanted to take you there.
Miles: "Sure, I'm down. You better not be scared to go ice skating."
His reply sounded as if he was mocking you.
Y/N: "Speak for yourself. They don't call me Ice Queen for nothin'😉❄️"
Miles couldn't help but chuckle.
Miles: "Sure, Miss 'Ice Queen'. Let's do this."
Fifteen minutes later, you and Miles are walking down the snowy streets, heading towards the ice skating rink. While walking, the cold surrounded you two, a slight breeze causing Miles to wince and rub his arms a bit.
"Dang, it's kinda cold out here." He says, looking over at you, presuming you were also cold.
"What? You can't handle a little chill?" You ask teasingly, hiding the fact that you are chilly as well. Miles scoffs and looks over as his breath is visible.
"You don't look any less frozen than me, Ice Queen." He moves closer to you, rubbing his shoulder against yours in an attempt to warm himself. You laugh sarcastically at his joke and bump his shoulder playfully.
"We're almost there, crybaby," You say, pointing up ahead. Miles was going to give a comeback in response, but he was too damn cold to really care too much.
"Good, I'm freezing my ass off." He admits, his teeth chattering a bit as he speaks. When we get inside, it's still cold but definitely warmer than outside. We head up to the front desk and pay for some rentals before heading over to a bench to put the skates on. Miles struggles a bit with his. He's a bit uncoordinated sometimes, so it takes him some time to actually put them on properly. Although, once he's done, he smiles and looks at you expectantly.
"So? Show me what you got, Ice Queen." He says with a slight laugh. You meet his challenge with a smirk.
"Watch and learn, Morales!" You glide out gracefully onto the ice, noticing that there's not that many people out. Miles shuffles over to the ice, holding onto the wall as he watches you. "See? I know what I'm doing." Miles rolls his eyes playfully at you.
"Sure, keep thinking that. But hey, if you fall, I'll be there to catch you. Sound fair?" He laughs, sounding a bit flirtatious. You laugh in response.
"You wish I would fall!" You shout as you take a lap around the rink. You come back around and Miles is still waiting at the edge of the ice. "Whatchu waiting for, slow poke?" You taunt. He gives you a determined look and steps out onto the ice. Although, before he can even finish taking a step, he falls onto the cold floor, landing on his butt. You skate over to him, holding out a hand. Miles looks up at you, seeming a little bit embarrassed.
"What was that you said about catching me if I fall? Maybe I should've been saying that." You tease as you stifle a laugh. He shakes his head as he grabs your hand and pulls himself up.
"Shut up. I tripped." He insists, obviously lying to himself.
"On thin air, or your ego?" You stick your tongue out tauntingly and start skating forward.
"Thin air, definitely. My ego's still very much in tact, thank you." You chuckle as he catches up, the two of you now gliding on the ice together. Miles is a bit wobbly, but he finds his balance, hoping not to fall on his ass again. You shake your head and hold your hand out to him.
"Here, just hold onto me." You offer with a small smirk on your face. Miles gives you a smug look back, taking your hand and standing upright.
"My hero." He replies mockingly. You roll your eyes and he pulls you closer to him as you both skate forward. "You know, if you wanted to hold my hand, Y/N, you could've just said so." He teases, giving you a wink.
"What? No, I was just being nice. If you wanted to hold my hand, you could've just asked." You retort playfully, giving him a nudge with your elbow. He looks as if he's going to lose his balance for a moment, but then recovers, glaring at you as you snicker at him.
"Uh huh, that's what they all say." He scoffs and you continue to laugh at him. Suddenly, he loses his balance again and he grabs onto your shoulders for support, gasping loudly. He ended up accidentally pushing my back against the railing of the rink. To others it looks like he's just giving me a hug, but he's really trying not to fall again.
"Ah! Miles!" You instinctively grab onto him as you hold him up and you can't help but to giggle. Miles sighs, looking off to the side but it's obvious that he's enjoying how close he gets to be to you.
"You're so bad at this! You almost took us both down!" You exclaim, scolding him jokingly. He leans in close to you and looks into your eyes as your faces are only a few inches apart now.
"Hey. You know, they say that people fall in love when they accidentally fall on each other?" He teases, trying his best to maintain his balance.
"Who said that?" I ask, raising an eyebrow in suspicion.
"Um, I did..." Miles says nonchalantly with a slight grin on his face, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. You laugh, shaking your head once again at his silliness. But you couldn't help but blush slightly. A smile crept onto his lips as he smirks at you. "Oh? Am I making you nervous?" He asks tauntingly. You clear your throat and shake your head.
"No! I could never get nervous around you. Pft..." You say mockingly, but as you're speaking, your voice cracks a bit.
"Oh, is that so?" The grin on his face grew wider, almost as if he knew you weren't telling the truth about not being nervous. "Well, tell that to the blush on your face." He smirks at you before letting go of your shoulders and skating off, as if he never had any trouble before. You watch him, stunned as he doesn't even look unsteady.
"Were you faking the whole time?!" You shout after him in surprise, skating to catch up with him. He turns to face me as he skates ahead of me, skating backwards now. My jaw drops.
"Me? Fake? Never..." He replies with a smug look. "You know, you're cute when you're shocked."
"Oh don't even- That's not true. You said you couldn't skate!" You deflect, pointing a finger at him. As you catch up to him, he turns back forward, smirking at you.
"Never said that. You just assumed I couldn't because I fell earlier." He points out. "Besides, you're so easy to tease. It was very fun seeing your reaction." Miles chuckles.
"Oh, so now you're calling me easy?" You raise an eyebrow at him, hiding a smile.
"Easy to tease. If you were easy to get, I'd have gotten you a while ago. You're really making me work for it, Y/N." He says slyly, looking at you from the corner of his eye.
"What are you talking about?" I question, rolling my eyes.
"Oh, don't act oblivious now. Since you know everything, I bet you've been playing hard to get and you want me to chase you." He replies confidently.
"Ooh, so you're on to me, now? Hm, I guess you're smarter than I thought." You smirk at him and he seems a bit surprised. "Maybe I do want you to chase me, Miles." You give him a wink and skate ahead again. You had him at a loss for words for a moment, but then he skates after you. You both laugh as he tries to grab you and you dodge him.
As you glide across the ice, you lose your balance. But before you fall, Miles catches you and you two are now inches apart. You both stop in the center of the rink, panting softly. A few seconds pass, but no one makes a move. He looks at you and you look back at him. Then you feel his grip on your waist and he pulls you in a little closer. You can feel his breath on your face. It's as if you are the only two in the rink.
Finally, Miles leans in a little further and kisses you softly on the lips. His lips on yours sends a slight tingle up your spine and you feel your heart beat faster as you kiss him back. His hand moves to the back of your neck and he kisses you deeper, putting more passion behind the kiss.
After a few seconds, he pulls back but he still holds you close. As he moves his head away, he looks at you with a small smile on his face. You gaze at each other, both slightly blushing, but not embarrassed at all. Miles looks as if he's about to say something to you, but he's interrupted by one of the skating rink workers.
"Hey! No stopping in place on the ice! Keep it moving." He tells you both.
"Oh! Right, sorry." Miles says to the man before turning back to you. "Let's get outta here." He suggests, grabbing your hand.
"Yeah, let's go." You respond, as he pulls you to the side of the rink. He looks at you once more before he suddenly kisses your cheek.
"Sorry, couldn't resist." He smiles as he sees you blush again.
"Sure, you couldn't." You roll your eyes, stepping off the ice as Miles follows you.
You both leave the rink and head outside, noticing that the sun has set. The cold air is still a bit chilly on your skin, but it's not too bad. You notice that Miles has gotten you to hold his arm as he walks you home, as if he's not letting you go after the kiss that you two shared.
"So... I guess all that chasing wasn't for nothing then, huh?" Miles raises his eyebrows, smirking at you.
"I guess the chase was worth it. You caught your prize, now what?" You reply playfully, looking up at him. He pulls you a little closer and wraps his arms around you.
"Now, I get to keep it," He says as he kisses you gently on the lips. The world around you blurs as Miles kisses you under the soft glow of the streetlights. The snowflakes gently fall around you, creating a magical atmosphere. It's a moment frozen in time, one that you wish could last forever.
After a while, he breaks the kiss and looks at you. He can't keep his eyes off your face, his smile growing as he holds you in his warm embrace. Suddenly, a gentle breeze causes you both to shiver a bit, but the cold doesn't matter to you. All that matters is that you are there with Miles. The two of you start to walk again, Mile's arm around your shoulder as you walk down the street.

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist

It's early Christmas morning and the house is silent. I’m sleeping soundly, stealing most of the covers from Idris as he is sprawled across the majority of the bed. I begin to stir once I hear tiny footsteps approaching my room. I shift, hiding my head under the blanket when I hear the door burst open.
“IT’S CHRISTMAS! IT’S CHRISTMAS!” Our 5-year-old daughter, Heaven, shouts as she jumps on the bed, stepping on her father.
"Ah! Heaven, darling, please!" He grimaces as he's suddenly awoken from his slumber, shifting under the blanket and sitting up. He reaches out and grabs her mid-jump, pulling her into his lap. "Do you know what time it is, princess?" He questions groggily and Heaven beams brightly.
"It's Christmas time, Daddy!" She says excitedly and jumps on his lap. I hear footsteps approaching me and then the blanket is pulled away from my face. I squint as the light hits my eyes and bury my face in the pillow.
"Mommy, get up! We made you guys breakfast." Our oldest son Jason tells me, before pulling the rest of the blankets off, causing me to shiver.
"JJ, please just give us five minutes, okay?" I ask, but he shakes his head.
"The food will be cold by then, Mommy!" My heart drops at the realization and Idris and I make eye contact. He sees the stressed look forming on my face and gives me a reassuring one back, turning to the kids.
"Right, Heaven, Jason, it's still early. Why don't you give your mum and me a few more minutes to get ready and then we will be down." He offers, but they don't relent. Heaven continues to bounce up and down and Jason can't seem to contain his excitement.
"We can't, Daddy! It's Christmas! We shouldn't have to wait." His smile is wider as he can't wait to go downstairs and show us what they made. Idris groans and I bury my face again.
"Alright, alright, you monsters. Calm down for a minute." He starts as he stands up and tosses Heaven over his shoulder, making her giggle. "What exactly have you three been up to, huh? Don't tell me you've been cookin' on the stove." He peers at Jason, who smiles and shakes his head again.
"We didn't use the stove, we used the microwave! We made our own special cookies and even decorated them! Come on!" He grabs my hands, pulling me out of bed and leading us both out of the room. We exchange a horrified look, imagining the mess in the kitchen. And we've still not seen our youngest yet. Hopefully, he's asleep.
Upon entering the kitchen, the smell of burnt cookies hits us. I sigh nervously as we round the corner. The kitchen is a mess, with flour and butter everywhere! There's frosting and sprinkles smeared on the counter and an incriminating stepping stool beneath the area. Behind the island, I see two little feet sticking out. I walk over, careful to avoid any mess on the floor and see our youngest son, Luke, on the floor eating frosting from the tube. He smiles as he looks up at me.
"Mommy! Mommy!" He shouts as he stands up and hugs my legs. I begin to regret wearing shorts as his sticky fingers come in contact with my skin.
"Oh, sweetie..." I say, groaning a bit as I take everything in.
"We made a little mess... But aren't the cookies pretty?" Heaven asks, presenting a plate of holiday mush. It seems as if they'd mixed up flour, sugar, and water, and threw it in the microwave, topping it off with green and red frosting and snowflake sprinkles. Heaven and Luke look so proud of their creation and Jason is giggling to himself, obviously the ringleader and brains behind this whole operation. I try to control my temper, after all, it's too early and it's Christmas. Idris chuckles and lifts Luke up into his arms, careful not to get any icing on himself. He turns to Heaven and takes the plate from her, placing it on the counter.
"Those cookies are incredible, princess!" He says, causing all of the kids to smile. I shake my head gently and put on a smile. This was bound to happen at some point. They're kids and it's Christmas. And I can't be mad at them, they all look so proud of themselves.
"They're absolutely amazing, you guys. But..." I bend down to look Jason and Heaven in the eye. "Remember, you need to ask Mommy and Daddy if you can use the kitchen. It's not safe to do it by yourself. Okay?" They both smile and nod.
"Okay, Mommy, we'll make sure to ask next time," Jason says with a happy smile. I give them both a kiss and pat their backs.
"Now," Idris starts, "why don't you two clean up in here while I clean up your brother?" He says to our older kids. They frown a bit, groaning.
"Hey, none of that. You guys did a nice thing for Mommy and Daddy by making these pretty cookies, but you need to clean up after yourselves as well." I explain to them.
"Yes ma'am." They reply in unison. Jason grabs a broom from the closet and Heaven goes under the sink to find a sponge to clean the counters with, using her stepping stool to reach the mess. Before wiping the mess away, she drags her finger through the frosting and licks it, causing me to grimace as I watch her enjoy her work. I turn to Idris and he chuckles, before kissing my cheek.
"Be right back, love." He says, giving me a charming smile, before propping Luke up on his side. "Come here, buddy. We gotta get you cleaned off." He says as he walks up the stairs with our youngest.
I walk over to Heaven and help her wipe the counter, helping her put away the baking tray. She still tries to sneak some frosting, licking it off her fingers before wiping her hands on the kitchen towel. I shake my head at her and she giggles. Jason catches everything that was wiped off of the counter with the broom, sweeping it into the dustpan and trashing it.
"Okay, you two. You're doing such a great job at cleaning up, thank you." I say to them both, smiling down at them. "Once we're done here, how about we open some presents?" I suggest and they both cheer at the mention of presents.
"Let's open them now! Pleaseeee!" Heaven begs and I laugh to myself.
"No, we gotta wait until Dad's done cleaning up Luke, duh!" Jason says back to her, causing her to pout. She crosses her arms and frowns. I shake my head at them.
"Let's just finish cleaning up. I'm sure Daddy will be done by then and then we can start, okay?" I offer them a warm smile.
"Okay, Mommy," Heaven says, going back to cleaning. Idris soon returns with Luke following after him, in a new set of pajamas and looking squeaky clean.
"Yay! Daddy's here! Can we start now, Mommy?" She asks as she turns to me. I laugh a bit and nod.
"Yes, sweetie, we can start," I say and all three of the kids rush to the living room and sit on the floor around the tree. Idris grabs my hand and I smile at him as we both take our seats on the couch, his arm wrapping around my shoulder. Heaven spots a present with her name on it and squeals happily, turning to us with bright eyes.
"You ready to open, princess?" He asks and she nods rapidly, tearing the paper away. She gasps as underneath the wrapping paper is a black Barbie doll with a beautiful pink dress and sparkling shoes. She looks up at us with a grin, thrilled with her gift. Heaven jumps up and kisses me and her dad on the cheeks.
"Thank you, Mommy! Thank you, Daddy!" She says, hugging the gift close.
"You're welcome, baby," I say with a content smile.
"Take good care of her," Idris adds, smiling as well. Jason and Luke look at us with hopeful eyes, waiting for their turn. "Well, what are you guys waiting for? Jump in!" He says and the boys excitedly grab gifts of their own, ripping them open. Luke squeals happily as he gets a fire engine with colorful blocks that snap together and Jason gets a brand new Lego set.
The room is filled with the childish sounds of laughter and excitement as the kids open more Christmas gifts. Idris and I exchange glances, basking in the warmth of the joyous moment unfolding before us. The chaotic morning, filled with mishaps and messes, now seems like a distant memory, replaced by the pure happiness on our children's faces.
As the Christmas frenzy dies down, Idris turns to me with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He reaches under the tree and pulls out a beautifully wrapped box that was hidden at the back, topped off with a bow that sparkles like freshly fallen snow.
"For my beautiful wife," He says with a warm smile, handing me the gift. I look at him with surprise, not expecting this, but accepting the gift anyway. I grin as I carefully unwrap the present. Inside, I find a stunning necklace, a beautiful chain accompanied by a pendant shaped like a snowflake, glistening with tiny diamonds. I gasp, overwhelmed by the thoughtful gesture.
"Idris!" I cover my mouth in shock and his smile grows wider as he sees my reaction. "It's so beautiful!" I exclaim, my fingers gently tracing the intricate details of the pendant. Idris beams with satisfaction, his eyes never leaving mine.
"I saw it and I thought it would be perfect for you. Like each snowflake is unique, so is my love for you." Touched by his words, I lean in and press a tender kiss to his lips. The kids all collectively cringe at us.
"Ewwww!" They shout at our display of affection, but we don't let it stop us. He puts the necklace around my neck and I move my hair out of the way to show it better.
"How does it look?" I ask, doing a little pose. Idris chuckles and takes my hand, kissing it lightly.
"Perfect, just like you." He says, causing me to blush at his words. However, not being one to be outdone, I reach under the tree and hand Idris a carefully wrapped gift of his own.
"Darling, you shouldn't have." He winks playfully. He grins like a child, tearing the paper away with eagerness. Inside, he sees a brand new watch, something he's been eyeing for a while now. He inspects the watch closely, looking both pleased and surprised. "This is incredible, Y/N. I love it."
"And I made sure the band was in your exact size, so no need to get it fitted either," I add and he looks at me adoringly. He puts the watch on, giving it a thorough look over.
"Just in the nick of time." He smiles cheekily and I roll my eyes.
"You're so cheesy sometimes, you know that?" I laugh.
"Guilty as charged, my love." He grins sheepishly. He wraps his arm back around my shoulder and gives me a kiss. After taking a break from toys and getting some breakfast, everyone does their own thing. The kids are now playing, occupied with their own little world. The only sounds that fill the room are the laughter and joy of the kids, along with the quiet murmur of Idris and my voice as we chat and relax. It's a content and cozy day.
Idris and I are still on the couch, cuddled up and watching a Christmas movie under a blanket. Eventually, Jason comes and sits next to us and Luke climbs up on Idris's lap, leaning against him. Heaven sits on the other couch, still playing with the new accessories she got with her new doll.
Luke starts to yawn adorably and Idris kisses him playfully on the head, before yawning himself. He looks at me and I stretch, yawning as well. We look over at Jason, who's fast asleep with the TV remote in his hand. I yawn again and then glance over at Heaven, who is also asleep, her head resting against the back of the couch. I smile and lean my head on Idris's shoulder, wrapping the blanket around us. The house is filled with silence, except for the soft sound of the movie on the TV.
I close my eyes, letting the sounds of the movie fill my ears. Idris's arm wraps around my waist, pulling me closer to him, and with his other hand, he cradles Luke gently as he sleeps. With all the children peacefully snoozing, it's just me and him for this moment. It's calm, soothing and comfortable.
"I love you," Idris whispers, kissing my head softly. I smile and nuzzle into his neck.
"I love you too, sweetheart," I whisper back, before letting my eyes fall shut. I take in the warm and comfortable silence, not thinking about anything else besides the peaceful ambiance we seem to bask in right now. I know we should probably get up and put the kids in their rooms, but I don't want to disturb the peace. We've had a wonderful Christmas and I'm reminded, once again, how much I love my family.

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist
Part 2 Here

"Wow! Okay, I think it's obvious that's the winner right there." James says in surprise.
"What can I say? We've just got that creative touch." I say, putting my elbow on the snowman. Unfortunately, it wasn't packed together sturdy enough and my added weight caused it to crumble and me to fall on top of it.
"Naomi!" Ashanti shouts, annoyed that I ruined the snowman. Michael rushes over to help me up as Dan, Teresa, and James all laugh at the sight. Michael is laughing a bit too, but he makes sure I'm okay and pulls me to my feet. I brush snow off my bottom and chuckle at my clumsiness.
"Oh shit, I didn't mean for that to happen." I rub my neck sheepishly and look over at Ashanti, who looks livid. "You okay, Ashanti?"
"No! I'm not okay! You always ruin everything!" She shouts angrily. We all look at her in confusion, wondering where this all came from.
"What do you mean? I thought we were having fun." I respond, attempting to diffuse the tension.
"No, you're always stealing the spotlight!" She retorts, her voice sharp.
"Whoa, calm down, Ashanti. She didn't mean to ruin the snowman." Michael intervenes, trying to ease the escalating situation. But Ashanti, fueled by jealousy and frustration, continues her tirade.
"No, Michael! She's always stealing the spotlight! Trying to be the center of attention with her stupid ideas," Ashanti crosses her arms as I stare at her, taken aback by the sudden outburst.
"Stupid ideas? This was supposed to be a fun activity. Why are you so upset?" I question, trying to understand.
"Because you always have to be the special one, don't you? You can't stand anyone else getting attention," She accuses, her eyes narrowing. "Always pretending to be all cute and clumsy, always trying to be the one everyone likes. It's pathetic, really." Her words cut deeper than expected. The atmosphere grows tense, and I feel a mixture of hurt and anger welling up inside me. Michael and Dan exchange uneasy glances, unsure what to do. Teresa tries to calm the situation.
"Come on, guys, let's not do this here. Let's just go back to having fun." She says, trying to hype us up again, but to no avail.
"No, she needs to hear this, Teresa. You can act innocent all you want, Naomi, but you're not fooling me. Everyone falls for your act, but I see right through it. You're manipulative, Naomi. Always trying to make people sorry for you." I glance at Daniel, hoping for support, but he seems caught in the middle, unsure of how to navigate this awkward conversation.
"Enough, both of you." James interjects, trying to diffuse. "You're ruining this for all of us with this unnecessary drama."
"It's not unnecessary, James. She needs to hear the truth," Ashanti retorts, her anger only growing.
"The truth? You're making baseless accusations and I'm just supposed to sit back and take it? Hell no." I fire back, my frustration boiling over.
"Baseless? Look at you, falling around like a toddler, trying to make Michael feel sorry for you. You're always playing the victim. And he's been falling for it all day," She sneers, gesturing towards Michael.
"That's not fair, Ashanti. Naomi hasn't done anything wrong," Michael finally speaks up, unable to stand her bashing me. Ashanti looks offended.
"Of course, you'd defend her. You always seem to prefer her over me," She accuses, her jealousy showing.
"I'm not choosing anyone. But I won't stand here while you attack her for things that obviously make you insecure."
"Michael, can't you see she doesn't care about anyone but herself? She's only pretending to be this interesting, edgy girl because that's the only way people can notice her. Quite frankly, it's disappointing you can't see how she's trying to manipulate you to not like me."
"That's enough!" I snap, unable to contain my anger any longer. "If I make you so miserable and you can't stand to be around me so much, why don't you just leave?" The silence is loud as she glares at me, before huffing.
"Fine! Maybe I will!" She turns and stomps off angrily, leaving the group in an awkward silence. I grunt in frustration as I watch her leave.
"Naomi, maybe you should go after her." James suggests, trying to be a voice of reason.
"No, I'm done playing her games. She wants to walk away? Fine," I reply, my tone strong. "Maybe she'll finally realize everything isn't about her."
"I'll go after her." Teresa says, leaving to follow her cousin. Dan puts a comforting hand on my shoulder.
"You didn't deserve that, Naomi. She's just... I don't know what her deal is." He says with a sigh.
"I don't know, maybe there's something else going on that we don't know about." James suggests, shrugging his shoulders.
"The audacity she has to accuse me of all that stuff, when I've had to put up with that from her since we were kids!" I frown angrily, my hands clenching again.
"Let's just take our minds off that for now. We can't let it ruin our whole day. How about we explore the market a bit more?" Dan suggests and James and Michael nod in agreement. Reluctantly, I agree, realizing that dwelling on negativity won't do me any good.
As we start to walk through the market, the vibrant lights and festive atmosphere fail to fully lift my spirits. The encounter with Ashanti keeps replaying in my mind, leaving me feeling a mix of frustration and hurt. I trail behind the boys and Michael slows down until he's walking beside me.
"Don't believe any of what she said, Naomi. She's just projecting onto you and that's not fair." He speaks softly. I sigh and glance up at him.
"I know, but it's still frustrating," I admit. His presence offers me some comfort, a reminder that not everyone interprets situations like how Ashanti did.
Meanwhile, Teresa catches up with Ashanti, finding a quieter section of the market where the snowfall adds a serene touch to the surroundings.
"What do you want, T?" Ashanti snaps, her frustration still evident.
"Just checking on you. What happened back there?" Teresa inquires, genuinely concerned.
"I don't wanna talk about it," Ashanti mutters, avoiding eye contact.
"Look, I get that something upset you, but taking it out on Naomi like that wasn't fair. She's our cousin, and she doesn't deserve that kind of treatment," She asserts, her protective instincts kicking in.
"You always take her side!" Ashanti shouts, turning away.
"I'm not on anyone's side, but I won't stand by when you're treating people unfairly. Sort out whatever's bothering you, Ashanti, before it ruins more than just today," Teresa advises before leaving Ashanti to her thoughts.
Back at the market, I'm walking with Michael as we've split up from Daniel and James. The sun has begun to set and it starts to get a bit colder. Michael smiles at me and places his arm around my shoulder as we walk, providing me a sense of warmth. He tries to get my mind off of the earlier confrontation and cheer me up.
"You know something else that's irritating?" He starts, his tone suggesting he has something to say.
"What's that?" I ask, raising an eyebrow as we walk. He takes a moment to reply.
"I haven't gotten to buy you a drink yet. A real one," He gestures to the market ahead. "We've been walking all day, so this is my chance." He grins and my eyes light up at the suggestion. I think for a moment, before cracking a small smile.
"I guess one drink can't hurt." I give in and Michael squeezes my shoulder, gently.
"Glad to see I haven't lost my charm." He says playfully, causing me to chuckle softly. "Just, this time, it's not gonna be hot chocolate. Let's change it up." I grin and nod in response. "I've got the perfect idea." Michael takes his arm from around my shoulder and grabs my hand, leading me into the market. His hand is warm against mine and he links our fingers, causing me to smile.
"It's just over here." He tugs my hand as he leads me through the crowd.
"What kind of drink did you have in mind?" I ask him. "Nothing too strong, please." I joke.
"Relax, I don't want to see you passed out on the floor." He answers before laughing. I roll my eyes and playfully slap the back of his hand in response.
"Okay, so what's this perfect idea?" I inquire with a smirk. Michael grins as we reach a small stand selling Christmas treats, hot cocoa, and other seasonal beverages before stopping and pointing towards the menu.
"Mulled apple cider." He says and I raise my eyebrows.
"I actually love that idea. They're nice and warm, but with a little bit of a kick. Love it." I nod in approval and we order two hot mulled ciders from the vendor.
"Here you go." The vendor smiles as he hands us our drinks. We all take them and move to find a spot to sit. After a few seconds of searching, we settle on a park bench away from the crowds. I take a seat and cradle the drink in my hands.
The mulled cider has a strong cinnamon smell, the heat warming the air around us. Michael sits down beside me, his own cider in one hand and the other placed on the back of the bench. We smile at each other as we take the first sips of our drinks.
"Mmmm, it's so good." I say, enjoying the warmth of the winter beverage. Our eyes meet but we go on drinking in silence. It's not awkward. We both know that we could talk if we wanted to but the peace is nice. Finally, after about a minute, Michael breaks the silence.
"Naomi..." He starts and I tilt my head in his direction.
"Yeah?"
"About what happened earlier. I just want you to know that I don't think those things about you. Not at all." He pauses for a moment as I listen intently. "And honestly, I don't think Ashanti does either. She just feels insecure about her image, and my arrival didn't make things any easier for her. But, whether she meant it or not, she's wrong about you." I didn't even realize how much I needed to hear that tonight, but his words seem to bring me some peace.
"Thank you, Michael. Really. I really appreciate it." I respond with a smile of my own. Our gaze lingers for a few more seconds, but I realize there's still something bothering me. Suddenly I turn to face him on the bench so we're sitting face to face.
"Can I admit something?" I hesitate. He nods and looks at me intently. I take a deep breath before speaking.
"I'm just as insecure as Ashanti," I confess, looking down into my mug. "I'm always trying to be cool and impressive, but I'm scared of looking dumb. It's like I'm not truly special to anyone." I glance over at Michael and I know he's listening carefully.
"My family is the most judgmental. Nothing seems to please them. I became a real estate agent, but it wasn't as good as Teresa's nursing job. I quit to be a full-time artist, and they say I'm throwing away all their hard work. Broke up with my cheating ex, and they say I should've paid more attention to him. Now that I'm almost thirty, they're nagging me about marriage and kids. What about what makes me happy?" I take a deep breath, feeling my eyes well up with tears.
Michael nods and I spill more, feeling vulnerable. "Their expectations are exhausting. I second guess every choice I make. Even if they're right, I don't want to live worrying about what people think. I want to live for me." I look up at Michael, his eyes still trained on me. I blush, realizing I've dumped a lot on him. He places a reassuring hand on my thigh.
"You know, I get it, Naomi. There's a lot of pressure on you to be perfect. But you don't have to be that. I see you for you. You're not perfect, but you're real. Don't be so hard on yourself." He smiles and takes my hand. I give him a small smile in return, grateful for his encouragement. His words resonate deep within me, creating a sense of warmth that goes beyond the heat radiating from the mulled cider. For a moment, I forget the chaos that unfolded earlier, and it's just Michael and me, sharing a connection.
"Thanks, Michael," I say, my voice a mix of gratitude and relief. "I really needed to hear that." He squeezes my hand gently.
"Anytime, Nao." He winks as he uses the nickname he gave me. "I'm happy to help." We share a cuddle on the bench, finishing our ciders. Michael breaks the silence again with a mischievous grin.
"You know," he starts, his eyes sparkling with playful intent, "as much as the scavenger hunt was a bust, there's still one thing I really wanted to check off our list."
"What is it?" I ask, my curiosity piqued. Michael smirks.
"Close your eyes and trust me." Raising an eyebrow, I decide to play along. Closing my eyes, I feel Michael taking my hand, lacing his fingers with mine once more and guiding me through the bustling market. He takes care to keep me from bumping into anyone or stumbling. As we walk, with my eyes closed, all I can focus on is the warmth and softness of his hands, making me feel at ease.
"Almost there." He whispers, excitement in his voice. A flutter of anticipation builds. The market sounds far and I realize we've steered away from it. Snow crunches under our feet as we come to a stop. "Now, open." Gasping, I find a beautifully adorned horse-drawn carriage before us, illuminated by twinkling Christmas lights in the trees. The festive carriage driver welcomes us with a warm smile.
"Surprise," Michael says, grinning that gorgeous smile as he gestures toward the carriage. Speechless, I take a moment to react.
"Michael, this is amazing. How did you...?" He chuckles, pulling me into his side.
"I saw them doing rides earlier today and I figured, if anything, this might somewhat salvage the evening." He glances over at me. "I hope you like it."
"Of course, I love it." I respond, still in shock at the gesture as I take in the magic of the moment.
"So, you wanna hop in? Or just stand out in the cold?" He asks teasingly, offering me his hand. I roll my eyes and grab his hand as he helps me into the carriage. As we get settled into the seats, the carriage lurches forward and the ride starts. As we're pulled down the snowy road, I look up and see the beautiful Christmas lights above us.
"Wow," I whisper in awe and smile brightly. "It's so beautiful." Michael smiles back and looks up as well.
"Yeah, it really is." He agrees. As the gentle rocking of the carriage and the peaceful night setting work in harmony, I feel my body relax more and more with each second.
I look over at Michael and his eyes are trained on me. I gaze back at him, noticing, once again, how striking his features are. He's handsome in such a unique way, with his deep, chocolate-brown eyes, his strong jawline, and his playful, almost cheeky dimpled grin that makes me want to melt every time I see it. He doesn't look away from me and I can't make myself look away either.
It seems like he's about to say something, but the sound of the horse whinnying as it trots on the snowy gravel draws our attention back to the moment. When we glance at each other again and I'm surprised by the intense way he's looking at me. His eyes study me carefully, as if he's trying to memorize every single detail about me; my skin, my expression, the way my lips move when I speak.
Out of nowhere, I begin to feel a bit shy, a warmth rising within me as I realize how close we are. I look back up at the lights, my cheeks turning red and out of the corner of my eye, I see Michael do the same. We sit there for a few moments, silently looking up at the lights, our bodies inching ever so slightly closer. Suddenly, I feel Michael's lips peck my cheek. I look over at him, pressing my hand to my cheek in surprise. He looks back at me, his gaze still focused intently on mine. He watches me, studying my reaction before bringing his fingers to rest underneath my chin.
"Come here..." His words send electricity through my body as he pulls me forward a few inches and presses his plump lips against my own in a gentle kiss. My eyes flutter shut as my breath grows shallow. His lips feel soft on mine and I can taste the sweetness of the mulled cider from before. Every nerve in my body sparks with heat as the world around us becomes muffled. He's tender and gentle, kissing me in a way that says he truly cares about me.
Michael pulls away for a moment, his thumb caressing my skin softly as it grazes across my bottom lip. He wets his lips slightly before pulling me back in for another kiss. This time, his touch is firmer, his tongue slipping its way into my mouth. I find my hands resting on either side of his neck, pulling him in deeper. He sets his hands on my hips, pulling me closer so that our bodies fit neatly together.
The kiss continues for a few more seconds before he finally breaks it, breathing heavily. He pulls his head back slightly as he looks at me. I'm completely speechless. I've never felt anything like this before. My heart is fluttering, my arms are weak, and my body feels like it's on fire.
Our moment is interrupted by the sound of the driver clearing his throat awkwardly. Michael turns to him and smiles apologetically.
"Sorry, my lovebirds. We're almost there, don't worry." I look up at the driver and give him a sheepish smile, my expression growing even redder if that's even possible. Before I can say anything, Michael cuts in.
"Heh. Lovebirds." He mocks the driver's words jokingly, his tone light and playful. He turns back to me and kisses my hand. "He knows what's up." I smile, feeling like I'm in a dream. We pull back to the place where we started and the carriage comes to a halt. The driver climbs down from his seat and opens the gate so we can leave. Michael gets out first and puts his hands on my waist, helping me down from the carriage. He tips the driver before pulling me by the hand to his side, wrapping his arm back around me.
"Did you enjoy the ride?" He asks, smiling down at me.
"The physical one or the emotional one?" I reply teasingly, causing Michael to laugh. "I did enjoy the ride," I admit, giving a bit of a shy grin.
"Good," he replies, his tone shifting to something more sincere.
"It's getting late." I sigh as I look at the time. Michael glances at his watch and nods in agreement.
"Yeah, we should probably get back before they start to worry." He replies, giving me a warm smile. I return the smile, turning to face him.
"Today was a lot... but you really turned it around for me. Thank you for that." Michael pulls me into a hug, his body engulfing me.
"Don't mention it. I didn't like seeing a frown on your face." He says as he lets go of me. "You look way prettier when you smile." I blush at his compliment, looking down at my feet as he takes my hand in his. He looks ahead as we make our way back to the family house, the festive lights and decorations still illuminating the winter night.
As we near the house, I can't help but to feel a mix of emotions. Today had unexpected turns, but it all worked out in the end. Mostly. As we step inside, we're met with the warmth of the home and all of the lights are off. It seems like everyone's gone to sleep. Michael and I slip off our shoes before quietly making our way up the stairs.
"Looks like everyone's down for the night," He says, peering into the hallway and seeing no lights.
"Hopefully we didn't keep them up." I whisper, trying not to make too much noise on the creaky floor. Michael turns to me, leaning against the wall as he gazes at me through the darkness.
"Hey, Nao," He starts and I look at him in curiosity.
"Yeah?" He looks off to the side for a moment, as if contemplating his next words.
"I know today wasn't perfect, but I really enjoyed spending time with you." He takes my hand in his again. "I know I've only been here for a day, but I already feel so close to you. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it, but I know exactly how I feel when I'm with you." He leans in and speaks softly, causing me to shiver. His smile grows brighter as I look up at him with affection. "And I gotta say, I'm pretty excited for tomorrow."
"I really can't tell you how much this means to me. I feel like I don't have to try with you. Everything just flows so naturally. I can't wait to spend more time with you." I reply, biting my lip slightly.
"You sleep well, Nao. Goodnight." He tells me, planting a kiss on my cheek.
"Goodnight to you too, Michael." I say back and he gives me that small, flirty nod he gave me when we first met as he turns and begins walking down the hall towards his room. I watch Michael leave, his warmth lingering as he disappears into the guest room. I stand there for a moment, absorbing the sincerity in his voice and the unexpected connection we've formed. As I enter my room, the quiet of the night surrounds me, and the events of the day play like a movie in my mind.
I take a deep breath and decide to capture the essence of the day on paper. I grab the cheap sketchbook Ashanti gave me yesterday, along with a few coloring pencils. The room is dimly lit by the soft glow of the streetlamps outside, casting a gentle ambiance.
I begin sketching, letting my hand move freely across the paper. The pencil captures the laughter, the awkwardness, the joy, and the unexpected intimacy that all came with today. The lines on the paper become a visual narrative, each stroke expressing the emotions that I experienced throughout the day. I feel a sense of regret as I recall how Ashanti and I acted towards each other. I feel grateful for the comfort I was given today.
As I continue to sketch, I am reminded just how much art has a way of helping me process my feelings. The notepad becomes a canvas for both the highs and lows of the day, a tangible representation of the emotional rollercoaster I've been on.
On another page, I capture the moment I had with Michael. The mulled ciders, the carriage ride, even our time by the fireplace this morning. I smile as I reminisce on this eventful day, feeling lucky to be where I am. I glance at the clock and realize how much later it has gotten. The exhaustion of the day catches up with me and I decide it's time to put the pencil down. I change into my pajamas and slide under the cozy covers of the bed.
With a contented sigh, I close my eyes, waiting for sleep to take me. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, who knows what surprises it might hold. The room is filled with a quiet peace, and as I drift off to sleep, the events of the day soften into dreams, leaving behind the anticipation of what tomorrow might bring.
When I wake up the next morning, I feel sense of anticipation, eager to make the most of today. As I get ready, I take a deep breath, preparing myself for the day ahead. There's still a lingering tension in the air, especially with Ashanti, but I'm determined to make Christmas Eve memorable for everyone.
I head downstairs to find the family gathering in the living room, watching a movie. I say good morning to everyone and head into the kitchen to see if I can help. I get there to find just my aunts Tina and Pat preparing the Christmas Eve feast. I find a place to help out and smile to myself, chopping up some vegetables.
As I move around the kitchen, Ashanti enters, her eyes meeting mine briefly. There's a flicker of guilt in Ashanti's expression, a silent tension between us that, at some point, needs to be addressed. Although, I am not planning on being the one to start that conversation. She goes and sits at the kitchen table, scrolling on her phone. My aunt Tina looks over her shoulder and smiles.
"Oh, I loved that photoshoot you did, sweetie. You looked so fierce and powerful!" She compliments, putting her hand on Ashanti's shoulder.
"Yeah..." She replies, not looking up from her phone. Aunt Tina smirks and glances over at me.
"You know, Naomi, I want to apologize for the other day." She starts and I look up from my task with a raised eyebrow.
"You do?" I question and she nods.
"Maybe you're onto something with your art. At least it's better than jumping from job to job." She says, causing Aunt Pat to snicker a bit. I look over at Ashanti, who doesn't look up from her cellphone. "Ugh, the things I would do to be able to get paid to just doodle all day. Must be a dream." I sigh deeply, looking over at her.
"Aunt Tina, do you really think that art is just about sitting around and drawing whatever I want?" I ask her calmly.
"Well, honey-"
"No." I cut her off. "My job isn't that simple. It takes years to learn the skills I have. Art is a form of expression. It's like telling a story and it isn't always your own. It has a way of connecting people and cementing memories for years to come. I'm not some toddler with a crayon. To me, art is everything. Why can't any of you respect that?" I ask, gesturing to everyone in the room. My aunt Pat looks at me with a raised eyebrow.
"Mimi," She starts with a sigh, "you know we want nothing but the best for you." I clench my fist as I stare at her.
"See, that's another thing. If I'm being honest, a lot of my insecurities come from others telling me what they think I should be. I think it's time I start listening to what I want for a change."
"We're just trying to look out for you, sweetie. You're a bit reckless is all." Aunt Tina says, rolling her eyes.
"No, the problem is that you guys don't respect my choices or ambitions," I reply. "Thank you for the concern, but at the end of the day, it's my life." I say with a bit of sass.
"Whatever." Aunt Tina says, throwing her hands up. "Just do what you want. You always do anyway." Ashanti slams her hand down on the table and stands up.
"Will you stop, Mom?" She raises her voice, shocking us all. Ashanti takes a deep breath and points a finger at Aunt Tina. "It's one thing if you want to judge me and treat me like a child because I'm your daughter," She continues firmly. "But keep Naomi out of it! What she's doing is amazing and, I've got to admit, I'm jealous that she actually has the courage to do what she wants."
"Ashanti-"
"I'm not finished!" She cuts her mom off. "All my life, you've had a plan for who I was gonna be and what I was gonna do, but did you once ask me what I wanted to do? I just went along with it because I figured mother knows best. But I hate my life and I'm starting to hate the person I've become." I start seeing Ashanti in a new light, having heard this new bit of information. I'd always thought that she just didn't like me and that we were always at odds, but now I know why.
"Naomi and I used to be best friends, but because of how you raised me, I grew to despise her, when really I should've despised you. I've stood by my whole life and let you dictate my decisions, but I won't let you do that to my cousin. You have no right!" I stare at Ashanti, stunned by her outburst. I'm also a little relieved that someone finally stood up for me. Aunt Tina and Pat don't know what to say.
"If you guys are my real family, then you won't just want me to be a carbon copy of you." She says, a bit calmer. "And if you care about us and what's good for us, you'll respect our choices."
My aunts are silent, their smug expressions completely washed away. Aunt Tina sighs again, not wanting to admit that we're correct. Before she can say a word, my mom comes downstairs, wearing her best Christmas sweater. She immediately senses the tension in the room and steps in. "What's going on down here?" She asks, her tone firm and direct.
"Nothing, Mom. Ashanti and I were just leaving." I say, before heading out of the kitchen. Ashanti follows behind me and we make our way to the study.
The room is dark and quiet, Ashanti flipping on a light to see the room. The two of us share a look, the mood of the moment taking a sharp turn. Ashanti sits down on the couch, burying her face in her hands. I hesitate for a second before sitting down beside her.
"Ashanti, I'm so sorry." I offer, reaching my hand out to her. She doesn't respond right away, but she finally takes my hand in hers.
"No, I should be the one apologizing. I have been so unfair to you and I'm sorry for all I've put you through." The look she gives is one of guilt and regret. I give her a soft smile and she continues. "I've just been so angry for so long and I took it out on you. My mother would always pressure me to do exactly what she wanted me to do and I was jealous that you could do anything you wanted when we were growing up."
"Ashanti..." I say softly, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. "I never knew you felt this way. I always thought your life was perfect and I felt like I would never amount to all the things you've accomplished." I admit.
"No ones life is perfect, Naomi. All those accomplishments, they weren't mine. They were my mother's. I just went along with everything, in hopes that I would make them proud. But nothing is ever enough." She takes a deep breath and looks me in the eye. "And I want to apologize for yesterday. I didn't mean any of those things I said. Honestly, I'm not doing as well as everyone says."
"What do you mean?" I question. There's a long pause as Ashanti considers her words, trying to get them right.
"You know how everyone's been talking about how successful I am?" She begins, seeming unsure of herself. I nod, listening intently. "Well, I'm struggling. A lot. My mother doesn't know this, but I lost my modeling job. My boyfriend and I broke up a few months and I'm about to be evicted!" She confesses, a tear running down her face. "That's why I've been so mean lately. I've been trying to keep up appearances but it's stressful as hell and it's even worse because Michael's here." My eyes widen as she tells me this, the words catching me off guard.
"You don't like that Michael's here?"
"I like Michael," She says, shaking her head. "I mean hello! He's Michael B Jordan, who wouldn't like him? But ever since he arrived, Mom has been pressuring me to seduce him. I hate it, I feel like some shallow bitch who annoys everyone. I just wanted to make my mother happy, but at what cost? I'm just making a fool out of myself and it's obvious that he likes you. I'm so tired of being fake. I can tell that no one likes me." She looks down at her lap, avoiding my eyes.
"That's not true," I defend. "Yeah, you get on our nerves sometimes and sometimes you make Michael a bit uncomfortable..." She gives a wry laugh as I speak. "But we all love to have you around. You may see yourself as fake, but we all know the real you. And we love being around you. Ashanti, even when you started being mean to me when we were kids, I still was excited to see you. And I'm glad to have you as my cousin. If I'm honest, your teasing made me want to do better. And your mom may have pushed you to be perfect, but every accomplishment is yours. You earned each of them. And I'm so proud of you, Ashanti." She looks up at me in disbelief.
"Really?" She asks, a shocked expression on her face. Her eyes are filled with tears and her shoulders are slumped. "But how can you say that when I've made things so difficult for you? I've been nothing but nasty to you."
"Because you're still my cousin." I reply with a gentle smile on my face. "It's true that you can sometimes be a bit much, but I still love you. Like you said, we both got on each others nerves when we were kids, but no one's perfect, especially when it comes to our family."
"Yeah, what is it?" I reply, prepared for whatever she might ask of me.

𝔰𝔶𝔫𝔬𝔭𝔰𝔦𝔰 ➛ It’s Christmas time, but you felt that there was something missing. It was festive enough. You wanted to do something that would blow your boyfriend’s mind away. So you hid mistletoe in every corner you could reach, and even in some you couldn’t. This is definitely gonna spice some things up.
𝔞/𝔫 ➛ Y’all, let me tell you. Gregory Eddie? He’s so fine and I don’t know what it is about awkward men, but it’s so fun to mess with them. I feel like when I was writing this, some might think y/n is modeled after Janine. But I assure you, that is not the case. Honestly, I feel like, if he were in the real world, his girlfriend would be something like this. It really would be so cute. But yeah, just keep in mind that y/n is a bit on the shorter side. It’s up to you how short😌 Enjoy!
12 Days of Christmas Masterlist

The festive spirit fills the air as I scurry around our home, determined to turn it into a winter wonderland. I've put up lights and every decoration I could find. But my true masterpiece is the rows upon rows of mistletoe. There isn't a single spot without mistletoe somewhere near it. And, despite my short stature, I even managed to get them in the high spots. Of course, as a finishing touch, I placed the final sprig right on top of my head. Brilliant!
One might wonder, why do I need this much mistletoe? But I've got a plan in place. As I stand back to admire my handiwork, I can't help but grin with anticipation. Gregory Eddie, my lovable and slightly clueless boyfriend, is about to walk into the ultimate Christmas surprise. And I'll finally be able to get what I've been longing for. Endless kisses.
I hear the front door creak open and I can barely contain my excitement. I'm currently in the kitchen, having just put some cookies in the oven, but I wait to hear Greg's reaction.
"Um, Y/N?" He calls, setting his bag down by the door as he takes in the appearance of our apartment. "Why does it look like Christmas threw up in here?" I giggle and make my way over to the door, attacking him with a hug.
"Oh, you know, just spreading some holiday cheer! And, uh, just hoping for some mistletoe magic." I say with a mischievous smile as I point to the mistletoe on top of my head. He looks at me with confusion.
"Mistletoe magic?" I nod, deciding it's time to reveal my secret weapon, needing to step up my game to get him to realize. I pull out another hidden mistletoe from behind my back and hold it above my head.
"Ta-da! Now, according to my brilliant plan, you have to give me a kiss." I say, matter of factly. Greg stares at me for a moment, before bursting out laughing at my plan. However, he can't resist my charm either, so he leans down and gives me a sweet kiss. I smile into the kiss, doing a small victory dance when he pulls away.
"So, is this going to happen every time we walk under mistletoe?" He chuckles as I nod enthusiastically. "You and your mistletoe antics, Y/N. You're something else." He leans down for another kiss, this one deeper than before, "I love you, crazy."
"I love you, too!" I reply with a bright look in my eyes. Greg lifts me up into his arms and carries me to the couch, sitting down and pulling me into his lap.
Surrounded by the glow of Christmas lights, Greg eyes the strategically placed mistletoe with a bemused smile. "So, how many of these did you put up?" He asks me. I shrug my shoulders, counting on my fingers and pretending to ponder.
"Well, let's see... I lost count after twenty. But I just figured that more mistletoe equals more kisses."
"You know you don't need to set traps like this to get me to kiss you right?" He tells me, his thumbs drawing circles on my hips.
"I knowww, but at least, this way, it's more festive!" I give him a cute smile as I explain my reasoning. Greg can't help but grin at my adorable face. He pulls me close, pecking my lips.
"Maybe next time, instead of hanging mistletoe, you could wrap yourself in tinsel and wait in a present box for me." He suggests jokingly. I smirk and raise an eyebrow.
"Don't tempt me now." Greg chuckles, kissing me on the cheek.
"You're such a mischievous little monster, you know that? Even when I think I have you all figured out, you always come up with some new devious plan to make me fall in love with you even more."
"What can I say? I am a woman of many talents." I say with a casual shrug. Greg grins back at me.
“That you are… That you are. Do you think you’ll still be pranking me when we’re old and gray?” He raises an eyebrow and sighs, “Who am I kidding… Of course you will be.” I laugh loudly at that.
"I mean, come on, it's obvious this is only the beginning." I give him a playful nudge as I lean forward and wrap my arms around his neck. Greg laughs along with me, pulling me closer.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you, Y/N, with your pranks and your silliness and your mistletoe and everything about you." I kiss him longingly, enjoying the soft feeling of his lips against mine, even if I've felt it a million times.
"I love you too, Greg... even when you're a little slow to figure out my pranks." I tease causing Greg to laugh again. I pull him in for an exaggerated kiss. It's playful at first, but then it transforms into a deep passionate kiss that causes me to blush. Just when things are getting good, I hear the ding of the oven, signaling that my baking is finished. We break the kiss and I sigh heavily, sliding off of Greg's lap and standing up.
"I need to go get those before they burn," I announce and he stands up, a cheeky grin on his face.
"It's okay, babe, you go get those, I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick. Then we can get back to the program." He wiggles his eyebrows and I laugh as I nod, heading into the kitchen. As I remove the cookies from the oven and turn it off, I hear Greg from the bathroom.
"REALLY, Y/N?? IN THE DAMN TOILET?!" He shouts, causing me to burst out into laughter. I forgot I left that there.

You both begin to argue and it seems to be going no where. Words are said and feelings get hurt. Will you be able to fix this?

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist

“No, Hobes! It doesn’t go there.” I swat Hobie’s hand away from the tree as he attempts to place one of his Star Wars ornaments in the center. It's Christmas Eve and Hobie and I are facing off in front of a pile of decorations. This familiar argument about how to decorate the tree is playing out for what feels like the millionth time. My preference leans towards a more structured and organized aesthetic, while Hobie leans towards a free and chaotic approach, arguing that an orderly tree is a submission to capitalism.
“Right, how 'bout this, then?” Hobie holds up some blue tinsel, and I immediately push his hands away from the tree once again.
"I'm not putting that on the tree, Hobie. It goes gold and then red! Blue shouldn’t be anywhere near this tree." I explain while wrapping the red tinsel around the tree. Hobie rolls his eyes.
“What’s the issue? Blue’s a good color.” He throws his hands up, looking at me incredulously. Ignoring him, I continue sorting through the decorations for matching ornaments.
“Oh, so you're just gonna let the suits dictate your every move, huh? You gonna let the capitalist drones run your life?" Hobie accuses, snatching the tinsel from my hands and wrapping it the opposite way.
"Oh, don't start that, Hobie. I just want our tree to look nice and neat this year." I argue, reclaiming the tinsel and wrapping it correctly. Hobie persists, emphasizing his disdain for conforming to holiday traditions dictated by corporations.
“Yeah, you're just a conformist sheep, ain't ya? No clue what's really goin' on, just followin' the herd. Wake up, man!” He says angrily, wrapping the tinsel even more so. He looks at me as if I am completely clueless.
"Conformist to what? Santa Claus's evil agenda?" I mock, yanking the tinsel out of his hands. Hobie snickers, but he doesn’t look impressed.
“The corporations are manipulating the spirit of Christmas, so you’ll buy presents! Can’t you see that, you wanker?”
"Who gives a damn? It's Christmas for Christ's sake!" I throw my hands up and it seems our conversation is getting out of hand. Hobie scrunches up his nose as the argument escalates.
“Exactly! It’s Christmas! The day when you’re supposed to be spending time with people you love, not maxing out your credit card on useless junk. Can't blame ya, it's that corporate mind game. Same goes for Valentine's Day—just another cash grab, man!” He starts to enter into his rant about how Valentine’s Day is pointless. Ignoring his conspiracy theories, I redirect our focus.
"Don't even start! Listen, we're not putting your stupid Star Wars ornaments on the tree and that's final. Now stop arguing and hand me those angel ornaments, will you?" I huff as I hold out my hand, determined to maintain order.
“These Star Wars ornaments are rad! Come on, just a little—” Hobie protests, attempting to convince me to allow at least one Star Wars ornament. "How 'bout just the Baby Yoda? Stick it in the back, it'll be lowkey." I sigh, contemplating the idea for a moment.
"Fine, you can put it right there." I relent, pointing to the spot on the tree. Hobie's face immediately lights up when I give in and allow him to put a baby Yoda ornament up, near the back. Despite his punk rock appearance, he actually has a soft side.
"Cheers, luv," Hobie smiles at me. He quickly unwraps the baby Yoda ornament and carefully placed it where I pointed, and then steps back to admire the result. I cringe at the way it clashes with my previous work.
“So what do you think?” He asks, looking over at me. I don’t really respond, instead looking off to the side. Hobie’s smile begins to fade when he realizes that I am unimpressed by the result of his handiwork.
“What’s wrong with it?” His facial expression turns into one of confusion. “I think it turned out pretty nice,” He said, defending his choice of decoration.
"It doesn't match, Hobes. It looks out of place like I knew it would." I grumble, crossing my arms. Hobie looks at me, genuinely hurt, and his expression turns sad.
"Sorry, luv..." He apologizes, his voice soft and sincere. "I just thought it would be cool... But I guess I don't know anything about aesthetics." He puts his hands in his pockets and lowers his head. He seems genuinely upset that I didn't like his contribution. Hobie turns away from me, deflated as he walks out of the room. I feel a twinge of guilt as I turn to look back at the tree.
His shoulders are hunched up and he is obviously disappointed. As he leaves the room, he mutters, "Stupid Christmas tree..." under his breath. I can't help but feel a bit guilty as I continue to look at the tree.
I stare at it, watching the out-of-place ornament, and thinking, 'Is it really worth it?' I just made a whole argument out of something we were meant to be doing together. I'd put my need for perfection over my own boyfriend and now he's upset. And why? Because some baby Yoda ornament didn't match my idea of what a Christmas tree should look like.
It really clicks in my head. Hobie wasn't just being a nonconformist or trying to ruin the tree. He was trying to have fun with his girlfriend and decorate the tree in a way that shows both of our creativity. I sigh as I turn away from the tree and run to the kitchen to where Hobie is.
"Hobie? Babe?" I find him sitting at the kitchen table with his back towards me. He seems to be focused on something, probably sulking. I call his name again and he slowly turns to look at me.
"Yeah, luv?" He asks, trying to sound cool and nonchalant, but his hurt expression betrays him. I sit across from him and look into his eyes. He avoids my gaze. I place my hand gently on his and bite my lip as I try to find words.
"Hobie, I'm sorry." I start. Hobie feels a wave of relief wash over him when I apologize. He looks up at me and his expression softens. He's clearly still hurt, but he seems much more relaxed knowing that I still care about his feelings.
"It's alright, luv," Hobie replies, giving my hand a little squeeze as he looks into my eyes. "I might've gone a bit overboard, I get it. The Christmas vibes hit me hard, you know? Just wanted to make it extra special 'cause I know it's a big deal for you. And-" He pauses as I press my finger to his lips.
"No, Hobie, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that, or tried to shut down your ideas. This isn't my home and that isn't my tree. It's our home and our tree. And it should reflect both of our creativity, not just what I think it should." Hobie's face brightens as I say that. He is a bit taken aback by my admission, but also really appreciates it. His expression turns into a smile as he stands up, pulling me with him.
"That's... really sweet, luv." He says in a soft voice and pulls me into a warm hug. "And you're right, this is our home, and it should reflect both of our tastes." He pauses and then speaks again in a more playful tone. "Even if you have bad taste."
I push away from the hug, feigning a look of offense as I playfully swat his shoulder. "I do not have bad taste!" Hobie pulls me back in and leans in to kiss my lips.
"Yes, you do. But at least you're pretty to look at." He says in a joking manner, then gives me another kiss. His lips press against mine with a tender and passionate intensity. His tongue brushes along my lips momentarily before he pulls his head back, keeping his lips close to mine.
"So, do you wanna take a break from decorating the tree and, you know...?" He trails off suggestively with a smirk and I laugh, rolling my eyes.
"Babe! We need to finish the tree!" I manage to say between giggles as I try to escape his grip. He doesn't let me pull away, instead he picks me up, wrapping my legs around his waist.
"Tree's not going anywhere, luv. We can decorate it tomorrow." Hobie mumbles against my skin, kissing my neck and starts walking towards our bedroom.
"But tomorrow's Christmas!" I shout before the door slams shut.

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist
Part 1 Here
Part 3 Here

The morning sun spills its golden hues into my room. I groan as the light reaches my eyes, causing me to squint. I sit up in my bed, grateful that my scarf stayed on the entire night. Glancing at my calendar, I note that it's only six days until Christmas. I try not to focus on the fact that I'll be spending those six days with Michael B Jordan, the idea is still unbelievable to me. It's a bit chilly, so I make sure I have a warm pair of socks on before heading downstairs.
As I step into the kitchen, the enticing aroma of breakfast greets me. The lively chatter of family members already fills the air as they prepare for the day. I notice my grandmother sitting at the table, sipping her coffee. She's always been an early riser.
"Good morning, Mimi," she greets me with a warm smile. "Did you sleep well?"
"Morning, Grandmother. I slept like a baby. It's a bit cold in here, though." I reply, giving a small shiver and rubbing my hands together as I return her smile. "Can we turn the heat up?" Grandmother gives me a knowing grin.
"Oh no, darling. We not running up my electric bill. It is fine where it's at." She shakes her head and I sigh softly, rubbing my arms to heat them up. I turn to walk away, but she starts to speak again.
"Why don't you go find that young man and ask him to light the fireplace for you? I know he's somewhere around here." She suggests, her grin growing. "You know, since you're so cold," she chuckles, sipping from her mug again. I smile and roll my eyes as I get up and head to go look for him.
I make my way through the corridors of my childhood home, the wooden floor creaking slightly as I walk along the boards. It's still early, but most of the house is already awake and alive with the energy of this holiday season. After a brief detour through the kitchen, where my aunts mingle as usual, I head towards the den. There, sitting on the couch, I find Michael, deep in conversation with my younger twin cousins, Matthew and Mason.
"Hey, guys. What y'all talkin' 'bout?" I ask as I shuffle over to stand in front of them. The twins look up with wide eyes, clearly still starstruck by the presence of the famous actor. Michael flashes them a friendly smile, instantly putting the young boys at ease.
"We were just telling Michael about our favorite superhero movies!" Mason exclaims, his excitement palpable as he holds onto his Incredible Hulk toy.
"Who's your favorite superhero, Michael?" Matthew chimes in, listening eagerly. Michael leans back onto the couch, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Is it Killmonger?" Mason questions.
"Killmonger in some ways, could be seen as a hero with a lot of depth and character. But he's technically a villain." He explains. "I'd have to say that Spider-Man is my favorite superhero, but I did enjoy playing Killmonger." Matthew and Mason giggle at Michael's reply and I smirk, finding it endearing.
"But the real question is, which Spider-Man?" I ask in a teasing tone. Michael raises his eyebrows at me.
His expression immediately lights up as he recognizes my attempt at taunting him. He gives me a small smile and laughs.
"Oh come on now, Mimi, you know that doesn't even have to be a question. It's obviously Tom Holland."
"No!" both boys reply in unison, laughing and shaking their heads.
"It's obviously gotta be Toby! He's the original!" Mason shouts and Matthew nods enthusiastically.
"Well, personally, I think Andrew Garfield was the best," I add. The boys go silent and stare at me with disappointed looks.
"No offense, Mimi, but you've let us down," Matthew says, shaking his head slowly. I look at them shocked as they look back at me awkwardly.
"What? Why can't I have my own opinion on this?" I question with a laugh.
"You're just not cool like Michael is." Mason shrugs his shoulders and Michael raises his eyebrows in surprise.
"Wowwww," I cross my arms in fake offense. "You know what? You boys haven't brushed your teeth this morning, have you?" I purse my lips at them and they drop their shoulders.
"No..." They both say as they slowly get up from the couch, groaning in protest.
"Uh uh, I don't wanna hear it. You got so much to say but you ain't even got clean teeth. Shameful." I taunt, causing Michael to laugh. "Make sure that Jessie girl brushes as well!" I call after them. Their mopey mood is replaced by a competitive one as they begin to challenge each other to who can get to their sister the fastest. Michael and I watch in amusement as they leave.
"Did you brush your teeth, Naomi?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. I narrow my eyes at him.
"Let's not go there, right now," I give him a sarcastic smile and he laughs a bit. "I need your help with something," I say, shuffling my feet.
"Sure, what do you need?" He responds, standing up from his seat.
"Well, it's absolutely freezing downstairs. Do you mind lighting the fire for me?" I ask, grinning sheepishly. Michael snickers at the request.
"Fireplace duty, huh? I think I can handle that." He follows me down to the living room and kneels next to the fireplace.
"Thank you," I say as I sit down on the floor in front of the fireplace and lean my back against the couch, watching as he adds the logs and lights a match. As soon as the fire starts to crackle, Michael steps back and glances at me. I realize that, even though it's early in the morning, he's dressed and ready for the day. The only thing he doesn't have on is shoes, but I still feel a bit embarrassed at my appearance. I haven't done anything to my hair and I am in my pjs still.
"You look pretty cozy over there, Naomi." He teases. I side-eye him slightly, turning to look at him as I hold my hands out to feel the heat and wiggle my toes while I let the fire warm my feet.
"I'm just trying not to freeze to death. I hate the cold." I retort, rubbing my hands together. Michael chuckles and sits down next to me, offering me his warmth. He leans his arm on the couch, letting it fall slightly so that his hand hangs over to the side of the couch where I'm sitting.
"Didn't you grow up here in the cold?" He asks, raising an eyebrow as he looks down at me. I smile slightly, letting out a soft sigh.
"I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. It makes me glad I moved to New York. It's at least a little warmer there." I shrug, pulling my knees to my chest so I can be warmer.
"I understand it. I grew up in New Jersey, so I've had my experiences with the cold." He admits. Michael looks over at me, seeing me shiver. "You know, you don't gotta put on this act of being freezing cold." He says and he puts his arm around my shoulder, pulling me to his side. "If you wanted to get close to me, you could've just said so."
I try to contain my shock, blushing at his boldness. My heart is racing and I'm hoping that he doesn't notice.
"It's not like that at all," I mutter, trying to keep my voice steady. He chuckles at my reaction.
"Oh yeah? Then what's it like?" He questions, noticing that I'm completely at a loss for words. I clear my throat and shrug.
"I just feel comfortable with you." I finally say, looking at him from the corner of my eye. I laugh, leaning into his shoulder.
"Better?" He questions as he rubs my arm to warm me.
"Much better. Thanks for the invitation." We both let out a light laugh, leaning back against the couch.
"I've got a question," Michael says after a moment.
"What's up?" I look up at him, realizing just how close to me he is.
"Why do they call you Mimi?" As he asks this, I stifle my laughter.
"Oh, God. That nickname haunts me everywhere I go!" I cover my face with my hands and Michael laughs at my reaction.
"What's wrong with it? I think it's cute." He winks at me playfully.
"It's little girl cute. Other names have cool nicknames like you have Mike and Daniel has Dan. But I just have this lil cutesy nickname, Mimi. Makes me sound like a kid." I rant adorably. Michael continues laughing until he composes himself.
"If it bothers you then why don't you choose a new nickname?" He suggests and I raise my eyebrow at him in confusion.
"Like what?" I question, doubting there's anything better for me. He thinks for a moment and then smiles when he's got it.
"Nao." He says waving his hand as if the name is supposed to appear out of thin air. I look deadpan at him and he starts laughing once more, a genuine smile on his face.
"Nao?" I raise my eyebrow even higher.
"You know, like Ne-yo, but cooler. Nao..." He does the thing with his hand again and I shake my head, giggling.
He continues to laugh as I mutter, "You're so corny." I roll my eyes at him and he gives me a playful shove.
"Well, you love it." He teases and I cross my arms. "So are you gonna consider the nickname or not?" He questions and I pause. My eyes shift to the side and a slow smile spreads across my face.
"I guess anything is better than Mimi," I concede with a sigh.
"Nao it is then." As Michael and I laugh with each other, we hear a loud bell from the kitchen. Michael looks at me with confusion.
"It's the breakfast bell. Means the food's ready. I should probably go get dressed." I mention. Michael removes his arm from around me and stands up offering his hand to help me up as well. I take it graciously. He pulls me to my feet, smiling warmly at me. Our hands linger for an extra second, our eyes locked onto each other.
"Alright, let me go see if I can help set the table." He says after a moment, letting go of my hand. He heads towards the kitchen, but not before calling back, "Don't forget to brush your teeth!" I smile to myself as I go back up the stairs.
As I walk through the common area to get to my room, I'm stopped by a voice behind me.
"You don't really think he'll go for you, do you?" I look over and see Ashanti in the doorway of the bathroom. I raise an eyebrow in confusion.
"What are you talking about?" I ask, already knowing I'm about to deal with some bullshit.
"Michael is a man who is way out of your league, don't you think?" She questions, crossing her arms.
"Ashanti, I'd love to get into whatever this is, but I need to get dressed," I say, turning away.
"I'm saying he should be with someone more on his level. Someone like me." She has a smug look on her face and I turn back towards her.
"Don't you already have a boyfriend?" I narrow my eyes at her.
"He's more of... a friend with benefits." She lies and I roll my eyes.
"You literally share an apartment with him." I retort.
"Don't try to deflect, Naomi. You need to back off of Michael, so I can show who he really should be with. A refined and classy woman with my social standing is the perfect match for a perfect man like him." I side-eye her as she spews these delusions.
"Whatever, Shanti. Have him, I don't care." I walk away before she can respond and shut my door. I should have known she'd come at me like that. It's always like this with her. She's jealous of me and wants Michael for herself. I won't try and stop her from going after him, but if he wants me, there's not much I can do about that. That being said, there's no telling if he likes either one of us. For one, we just met him yesterday, and two, we don't even know where his head is at right now.
I shake that conversation off and get ready for the day. I make it back to my bedroom, deciding to take a quick shower and change into something more decent to eat breakfast in. I'm feeling pretty good about myself until I remember the moment this morning with Michael and I suddenly get butterflies in my stomach. I take a few deep breaths and take my time to apply lotion and perfume.
After I feel I'm presentable, I slip on some jeans and a brown sweater to stay warm. I quickly brush my hair, checking myself in the mirror one last time before heading down to eat.
As I get down the stairs, everyone is already eating. I notice Ashanti sitting very close to Michael as she talks his ear off while he eats. Michael smiles politely, but it's obvious he's not into it. I head into the kitchen and grab some breakfast before sitting at the kitchen table, next to my mother.
"Good morning, Mimi." She greets me, smiling warmly at me.
"Morning, Mom. What are the plans for today? We doing anything?" I ask as I take a bite of food. My mother glances around the table, her eyes lingering for a bit on Michael and Ashanti.
"Well, I was thinking." She starts, "Why don't you older children take a trip to the nearby Christmas market? I'm sure there will be some great activities there."
"Sounds good," I reply. I steal a quick glance at Michael, who seems to be searching for an escape from Ashanti's chatter. Our eyes meet for a moment, and he offers a small smile. "Are we bringing the kids, too?" I ask, looking back at my mother. She shakes her head.
"Your uncles are taking the boys and Jessie to go sledding." She tells me and I smile at that.
"They'll love that," I say as I finish my food, putting my utensils on the plate. "Give me a call if you need me."
"Don't worry, baby, you just go have fun. Oh and..." She leans in to whisper to me. "Make sure to put the works on Michael. I need a son-in-law." She teases. I cover my face in embarrassment and sigh.
"I'll see you later, Mom." I laugh as I walk away, putting my dishes in the sink. After everyone is finished, I grab my brother, Teresa, James, Michael, and Ashanti and tell them what we're about to do.
"Hey guys, Mom suggested that we go to the Christmas market for the day. It's just a short walk down the street, y'all down?" I ask them.
"Oh my God! We used to love going to the Christmas market when we were younger, remember?" Teresa asks, beaming at the memories. I nod, smiling in response. James gazes admirably at Teresa as she brightens up. He always likes to see her happy.
"That sounds like a good plan. I've been dying for that food all year!" Daniel says excitedly. Michael laughs and shrugs his shoulders.
"I'm down to go. I've been wanting to see more of this place." He replies, looking a bit excited as well.
"Well, you already know if T is going, J will be there also," James smirks, leaning against the wall. Ashanti gives him a look of disappointment.
"Please, never refer to yourselves as 'T and J'. It sounds stupid." She tells them. James and Teresa both laugh and Ashanti rolls her eyes. "Oh, we're going to have so much fun!" She squeals, wrapping her arm around Michael's and leaning into him. He winces as she lets out a loud gasp, "Let me go get changed! There might be paparazzi there!" She giggles excitedly as she leaves the room to get ready. Michael gives Dan a surprised look.
"Is she always like that?" He asks, chuckling nervously. We all slowly nod our heads.
"I'm afraid so..." I reply.
"And, unfortunately, she's a professional at missing hints." Dan jokes and we all share a laugh. Grandmother makes her way over to us slowly, carrying six sheets of paper and six mini Polaroid cameras. Teresa's eyes light up once more.
"Are those what I think they are?" She inquires and Grandmother gives her a warm smile. Teresa reads her list carefully, eyes growing wide as she realizes what Grandmother has set up for us.
"Yes, it is, baby." We each are given a piece of paper and a camera. Upon closer inspection of the paper, we realize that it's a checklist.
"What is it?" Michael asks, a bit confused. I grin excitedly as I realize as well.
"It's a Christmas hunt!" I blurt out. Daniel looks excited as well and turns to Michael to explain.
"So, when we were younger, every year we'd visit the Christmas market and we'd do a holiday-themed scavenger hunt." He starts.
"Grandmother always made the list and we had to take pictures with each item on this list. We'd spend all day checking things off of it." Teresa chimes in.
"And, if we finish everything off of the list, we got to have Grandmother's famous Snickerdoodle Cookies! And a bunch of cute photos to put on the mantle." I add with enthusiasm. Michael looks at us all with amusement and nods his head.
"Okay, I'm in!" He tucks his list into his jacket and Teresa and I look at each other eagerly. Eventually, Ashanti returns from her room, dressed in a pink sweater and matching pink leggings.
"What? A scavenger hunt? You should've told me! I would have dressed accordingly." She whines. We all laugh and roll our eyes and head out the door, James and Daniel each pulling a wagon behind us.
The Christmas market bustles with activity as we pass the booths, and festive music all around. The colors and lights take me back to when I was just a little girl. The air carries a sweet scent of roasted chestnuts and the lively hum of joyous conversations.
"Wow, it seems like forever since I've been here," I say, my eyes lighting up as I look around.
"It hasn't changed a bit." Dan smiles, enjoying the nostalgia he gets from the place. I'm walking between Michael and Daniel and Ashanti clings to Michael's other side. Instead of letting her get the satisfaction of walking on Michael's arm, he links his arm with mine as well and I do the same with Dan so that we are all walking together. This seems to annoy her a bit, but we continue on. Teresa and James are walking hand in hand ahead of us and stop at the entrance of the market so we can make a game plan.
"Okay," I start, pulling out my list. "So it looks like we've got enough of things on here to keep us out here for a while." Everyone gathers around with their lists out.
"I've got an idea. How about we split up into teams? Three vs three?" James suggests.
"I like that. So who's on who's team?" Daniel questions. Teresa puts her arm on James' shoulder, smiling.
"It doesn't matter to me. Just as long as I have my boo with me. Otherwise, I'm lost." She says, causing me to giggle at her cuteness.
"Aww." He grins back at her. "I'll make sure to take good care of you then."
"You better. Or I'll come after you." She replies, punching his arm playfully. He laughs and puts his arm around her shoulder. Ashanti rolls her eyes once more at them.
"You two can do what you want, but I'm gonna stick with Michael." She says in a condescending tone. Michael raises an eyebrow at her, but he doesn't bother to argue. I shrug, already knowing she'd choose to team with him.
"Dan? Which team are you going to?" I ask and he gives me a mischievous smirk that seems to only have been seen by me.
"You know, I gotta team with my boy James and Cousin Tt." He shrugs his shoulders. "Sorry, I'm in it to win it." Dan and James dap each other up and I shake my head while laughing.
"Sigh, I guess I'm stuck with Ashanti and Michael," I say in mock annoyance, putting my hand on my forehead dramatically.
"Oh poor Naomi. Forced to walk around with the two hottest people here." Ashanti pretends to wipe a tear.
"Shut up." I roll my eyes.
"I'm just saying, we just look so good together." She wraps her arm around Michael's again and he looks off to the side. I feel the annoyance building but I push it back down.
"Don't be mad, girl, you know you're up there, too," Teresa assures me, nudging my shoulder.
"And besides, I wouldn't consider you being on my team a bad thing..." Michael replies, winking at me. A small smile comes across my face, but I quickly remove it.
"Perfect," Ashanti says under her breath, but I ignore her.
"Alright, teams. It's currently 1:00. We'll do as many items on our list as we can and meet back up here at 4. How does that sound?" James looks around at all of us and we nod in agreement.
"And the first one to find all of the items wins the cookies!" Teresa announces excitedly. We all chuckle a bit and nod again.
"You're on," I say competitively.
"Alright, see you back here in 3 hours." He says, handing his wagon to Michael and walking away with Teresa and Daniel.
"This'll be fun..." Daniel replies, nodding. Our teams split off to do their own thing and find the items on the list. Ashanti sticks to Michael the entire time, sticking to his side as though they were on a date. I have a feeling this is going to be a painful day.
"Okay, let's get started," I say with a determined smile. As we make our way through the market, we start looking at our list.
"Let's see, it looks like the first thing on the list is to take a picture with the most festive-looking person in the market," I say and Ashanti grabs her camera, handing it to me.
"Oh, that's easy." She does a little twirl and puts her hands under her chin. "It's obviously me." Michael and I glance at each other and start laughing.
"I'm not so sure that pink sequins and fur coats exactly scream 'festive'," I giggle and she shoots me a glare.
"Well, what would you know?" She turns her nose up.
"How about her?" Michael says, pointing towards a woman walking in the snow with a beautiful umbrella. She's wearing a cozy red dress and has Christmas trees stitched to the fabric. She has a green fur shawl on and lights braided into her hair.
"Now THAT'S festive," I grab my camera and we all start heading to her, Ashanti groaning under her breath. "Excuse me, miss!" I catch her attention and she turns around, smiling as we approach her.
"Hi, I'm Naomi, this is my cousin Ashanti and our friend Michael." I introduce. She holds her gloved hand out and shakes mine.
"Hello, I'm Helen." She does a small curtsy. After exchanging pleasantries, Michael asks her if she'll take a photo with us. Helen says yes and holds her umbrella out as we get someone to hold the camera for us. We gather around her and smile. With a flash of the camera, the small Polaroid photo ejects out the top and starts to develop. We thank the kind gentleman who took the picture and thank Helen. She walks away and we happily check the first item off the list.
"Alright, that's one off the list." Michael pumps his fist in the air and gives us both a playful high-five.
"Okay, next thing," I say, tucking the photo into my pocket. We set off to check more things off of the list. "We need to take a photo with a street performer or musician. That shouldn't be too hard; the market is filled with them."
As we continue through the lively market, we encounter various street performers showcasing their talents. From musicians playing cheerful tunes to magicians captivating the crowd, the festive spirit is in full swing. We finally settle on a group of carolers dressed in Victorian-era attire, harmonizing beautifully.
"Perfect," Michael declares, "Let's ask them for a quick photo!" As we approach, the carolers welcome us warmly, and we pose in front of the Polaroid.
"Ooh, let me choose the next one!" Ashanti says, pulling out her list. "How about the handmade ornaments?" She suggests.
"Now you're talking," I reply with a smile and we head towards the market's craft section. There are many booths with cute wooden trinkets, nutcrackers, and toys. After a bit of searching, we finally settled on a booth.
"Oh my gosh! This one would go perfectly on the tree! Don't you think?" Ashanti picks up an ornament that is covered in pink sparkles and shimmers. Michael and I grin at her, nodding in agreement.
"It really screams Ashanti," I comment and she takes it to the vendor to buy. I look around for a bit, wondering what I should get.
Michael picks out a small carved wooden reindeer from the section and I settle on a mini clay Santa Claus. I look back over at Ashanti and see her holding a star ornament made out of gold wires and encrusted with gems. I raise an eyebrow at her.
"I thought you wanted the other ornament?" I ask with a snicker. She simply smirks.
"I know, but this one is just speaking to me right now. I have to get it."
"Well, I gotta admit, it does look pretty festive," Michael adds, nodding his head. Ashanti smiles proudly.
"See, Michael likes it." She playfully sticks her tongue at me and I laugh.
"Don't worry, I like it as well." I look at my Santa Claus ornament and head over to buy it from the vendor. We take our pictures with the ornaments and place them in our wagon.
"Alright, that's three down, we're making good progress," Michael says as we start to walk again. He looks at the list and smiles. "I like this next one." Ashanti and I both look at his sheet to see what he's pointing to. It says "Find a mistletoe and take a group photo underneath it." Ashanti immediately lights up.
"Oh! I remember where they sell those!" She says, grabbing Michael's hand enthusiastically and pulling him in the direction of the booth. I sigh, shaking my head as I grab the wagon and follow behind them.
When I finally catch up, I see them standing in front of a charming mistletoe display near a Christmas tree vendor.
"Naomi, you hold the mistletoe, and Michael and I will kiss, okay?" She suggests and I raise my eyebrows at her. She's being bold today. Michael chuckles nervously and takes the mistletoe from Ashanti.
"How about you both hold the mistletoe and you both kiss one of my cheeks while I take the photo? That'll be a good picture for sure." He holding the mistletoe out to us. I exchange a playful glance with Ashanti, who seems to be more interested in being near Michael than holiday fun. Nevertheless, we gather beneath the mistletoe and we lean in to kiss his cheeks. Michael makes a silly face and snaps the photo. The result is a cute selfie that really captures the fun that we are having.
Over the next hour, we get pictures with a holiday elf, a gingerbread house, and even a guy with an ugly Christmas sweater. Ashanti keeps trying to cling to Michael, but he always seems uninterested in her. Instead, he makes sure to include me in the fun and we all have a good time hunting for the items off of the list.
"Dang, it's already 3:00," Michael tells us, checking his watch.
"And we've only got 9 things marked off the list." I sigh and Ashanti groans loudly.
"Ugh, this is taking forever!" She whines, dropping her shoulders.
"Well, this next one should be great, then. We need to take a pic drinking some hot chocolate. We can rest a bit there." I suggest. Michael smiles at the idea.
"Sounds good to me." He says and Ashanti nods as well.
"Oh, yes! It'll be the perfect pic to post on my story." She says, completely forgetting about the scavenger hunt and walking ahead of us. Michael walks beside me, breathing a sigh of relief.
"What, do you miss your little girlfriend?" I ask, teasingly. Michael rolls his eyes playfully and shakes his head.
"Don't even get me started on her." He replies, shaking his head as he laughs. "She's very determined, I'll give her that. But can I breathe?" He shudders and I laugh.
"Well, I guess that's the price of being a famous actor, Mr. Jordan," I smirk at him and he raises his eyebrows.
"So, it's like that then?" He questions, faking a look of hurt.
"Oh yeah, especially after today," I reply with a nod. Michael smiles mischievously at me and puts his arm around my shoulders.
"Aw, are you upset because Shanti keeps stealing me away from you, Ms. Samuels?" His voice is low as he leans into my ear and I find myself blushing again. I ignore the feeling of butterflies as I wrap my arm around his waist, looking up at him.
"Oh yeah, I'm so jealous, right now. I just want you all to myself." Sarcasm drips off my voice as our back-and-forth banter causes us both to burst out laughing.
"If I'm honest, I feel less pressured when I'm around you," Michael admits. "Most people treat me like I'm royalty or something, or they just see me as a celebrity. But I don't feel that with you. I feel like I'm just some regular guy and like you actually genuinely like me."
"Well, I do genuinely like you. You're more than just an actor and I think you deserve to be treated like a human being." I smile at him, leaning my head on his shoulder. Michael gently rubs my arm and gives me a reassuring smile.
"Thanks. I'd be lying if I didn't say that I genuinely like you, too," He whispers, playfully nudging me as we continue to walk. We catch up to Ashanti at the booth, where she's sitting on a stool posing for selfies with her mug. I sit next to her and Michael sits beside me, causing her to glance over at us.
"It's about time you two came over. Here, Naomi. Take some pics for me." She shoves her phone into my hand and I sigh, holding it up for her as she does various poses. Michael chuckles and starts ordering drinks from the vendor. When Ashanti finishes, she snatches her phone back to look at the results.
"You're welcome," I mutter under my breath. Michael slides a mug of hot chocolate towards me and I accept it graciously. "Thanks, Michael," I say, appreciating the gesture.
"Of course, here." He says, taking his Polaroid and standing it up against one of the menu stands. He sets the timer on the camera and leans close to me, flashing a smile and holding his mug up. I do the same and the camera flashes, printing out the photo. We clink our mugs together as the photo develops and begin to sip the hot chocolate.
Ashanti, noticing us clink our drinks together, seems upset again and pouts, glancing over at me before turning back towards Michael. We make eye contact and I give her a smile because I'm in a good mood and not about to be a killjoy. She ignores my attempt to be kind, though, as expected.
After finishing our hot chocolate, Michael stands up and picks up his camera. "All right, it's about time we get out of here. We're halfway through our list. Team, what items do we still have left?" I pull out my list and scan over it.
"Next one says to find a gift for someone in the family and have it gift-wrapped," I reply, before looking up and seeing the others. Teresa, James, and Dan stroll over all grinning at us.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is." Daniel gives us a smug smirk as they walk over.
"What's the smug look for?" I step up to him and cross my arms and he does the same.
"Oh, nothing, just worried you might go hungry when we eat all those cookies in your faces." He responds and we both glare at each other jokingly before breaking out into laughter.
"You two are something else." Teresa shakes her head.
"Don't act like you're not just as competitive, Teresa. I still have back pain from playing musical chairs with you." Dan retorts, rubbing his lower back. Michael leans over to whisper in my ear.
"Remind me never to play musical chairs with her." He says and I nudge his shoulder playfully.
"Have y'all gotten to the snowman one yet?" James asks and we all shake our heads. "Perfect, how about a contest, then?"
"A snowman-building contest?" Ashanti gives him a look of confusion.
"Yeah, each team makes the best snowman they can think of," Teresa adds.
"What does the winning team get?" Michael inquires.
"Nothing, it's just for fun."
"Oh, no, I don't do these types of things for 'fun'. There's gotta be something at stake." Ashanti says, tapping her foot.
"How about the loser has to knock down their snowman and take their photo with the remains," I suggest with a mischievous smile on my face.
"I like the sound of that." Dan nods.
"Let's do it!" Teresa shouts and we all head over to a wide patch of snow. The teams huddle to discuss our strategies and then take a couple minutes to gather any items we need.
"How about we make a fashion icon snowman?" Ashanti suggests.
"No, it's got to be something outside of the box. Something no one would think of." Michael replies, tapping his chin as he thinks. I smile once an idea comes to me.
"What about an upside-down snowman?" I look at their faces to see their reaction. "Who is also a fashion icon," I add and they both slowly smile.
"I've gotta admit, that is pretty outside the box. Let's go get the stuff!" Ashanti says and we hurry to find supplies. The snowman building begins and we enthusiastically make a snowman with its head buried in the snow, making sure that the other team doesn't see what we're doing. Michael, Ashanti, and I work together to create the perfect snowman, laughing as we give it quirky accessories and make it stand out.
Daniel's team reveals their snowman to be a gentleman with a top hat and a scarf, seemingly scrolling on a phone that happens to belong to James. We all get a kick out of it, but I know that ours is the one that's really gonna blow them away. We bring them over to our snowman and they immediately start laughing, enjoying how we put boots on top of the snowman for its feet.

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist

"It's cold as balls out here!" I shiver as John lets out a loud laugh, wrapping his arms around me to warm me. I narrow my eyes at him as he chuckles.
"You really are too cute, darling." He says as he pulls me in close to him. We are walking through the park and it's snowing out. It looks absolutely beautiful out here, but it's still extremely cold. I'm not usually one for cold weather, but John insisted we go for a walk and I just couldn't say no.
"I'm serious! It's freezing, John." I pout slightly, looking up at him.
"You're such a baby, Y/N," He teases as he pulls me into his arms and kisses my forehead. I can't help but to giggle as he does this. The streetlights illuminate our faces with a soft, romantic glow. The only sound is our breathing and the faint trickle of a nearby fountain.
"I'm not a baby. I am just not very fond of the cold." I defend myself as my cheeks are red from the cold.
"But you're still a bit of a baby," He says with a playful grin. "And a princess, as well. You need me to keep you nice and toasty." He readjusts my scarf so it covers me better.
"Let me take care of you, love." His voice is low as he speaks and his lips brush against my cheek, leaving a soft kiss in their wake. I grumble adorably as I let him kiss my cheek, secretly happy to be out with him right now.
"Hmph, fine." I mumble. John smirks at my little grumble as he pulls me even closer. The heat from his body spreads through our jackets, warming us both. He leans down to whisper into my ear.
"Alright then, love. Just let me look after you, my beautiful princess." I roll my eyes playfully at him and then look up at the sky. I notice that the previously still air is now filled with snowflakes.
"It's snowing!" I point upwards as excitement fills my voice. John looks up at the light flurry of snowfall and smiles at my reaction.
"It sure is, innit." He says, watching the snowflakes flit through the air, each one settling on my beautiful brown skin. He chuckles as he brushes some of the snow off of my shoulders.
"Thank our lucky stars it's comin' light. It'd be a right mess if it was pouring down heavy." He says before stealing a kiss from me. I smile against his lips before we pull away. I walk a bit further out into the snow, putting my hands up and spinning as snowflakes fall on me. John laughs as he watches me, admiring the childish joy that I display.
"Y/N, come here for a second..." John's voice is low and playful. I can see the twinkle in his eyes as he watches me frolic in the snow. I turn towards him as he walks up to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and mine around his neck.
"What is it, babe?" I question as he pulls my body against his.
"I've got something for you." He lets go of my waist and holds one of my hands, the other one reaching into his pocket. "Close your eyes," he says softly. I close my eyes and try to sneak a glance. "No peeking, it's a surprise."
"Okay..." I chuckle a bit as I squeeze my eyes shut, wondering what he could be planning. John lets go of my hand and takes a step back. I hear a lot of shuffling and I hear him take a deep breath.
"Alright, now open..." He says and I follow instructions. As my eyes open, I see John, kneeling on one knee in the snow , holding up a small giftbox. He holds it open, a bright and nervous smile on his face. Inside that box is a gold ring with a gorgeous white diamond in the middle.
"Y/N, will you marry me?" He asks, his heart pounding in his chest. My eyes go wide as I bring my hands up to my mouth, gasping loudly.
"Babe! Are- Are you serious?!" I ask in disbelief. My gasp of surprise draws the attention of other parkgoers. John's grin widens as he nods his head. The snow falls softly around us, a picture-perfect setting.
"Y/N, I've never felt so strongly for anyone in my life." He starts, looking deeply into my eyes. My heart flutters as I try to control my breathing. "I might wind you up a bit, and I know I can be a pain, but there's nothing I wouldn't do to see you happy and safe. You're the most gorgeous and precious thing I've ever had the pleasure of having by my side. I want you to be with me always. So, Y/N L/N... Will you marry me?" My eyes well up with tears as I nod my head enthusiastically. I pull my glove off of my left hand and hold my hand out for him.
"Yes! Of course, I'll marry you! A million times yes!" I exclaim, my voice shaking a bit. John takes my slender hand in his and slides the ring onto my finger. It's the perfect fit. He smiles widely as the snow picks up, small flakes falling on our faces as he lifts me up.
"Baby, my sweet, beautiful love. You have no idea how much this means to me," He tells me as he sets me down, pulling me into a tight embrace. "You're my shining star, the beat of my heart, and I want to experience every single moment with you." He kisses me passionately. As our lips meet, the crowd at the park starts cheering all around us. Although, in this moment, It's just me and John.
The crowd's cheers fade into a whisper as our kiss comes to an end. We share a breath, gazing into each other's eyes as the heat from our bodies warms us. John traces my cheek with his finger and caresses my hair gently.
"Y/N Boyega, my soulmate. My everything." His voice is sincere as the snowfall grows heavier. I beam and jump forward, kissing John passionately once more. The shock is still fresh and I can't wrap my head around the idea that I'm getting married. The two of us are wrapped in each other's arms and are lost in a blissful moment of intimacy and romance. After a while, John pulls away and looks around.
"Now it's proper snowing, innit?" He chuckles as he wipes away the snow that's collected on my hat. "I think we'd better head home before it gets worse, my love." He leans down to whisper in my ear, "but I won't lie... I kinda want to keep kissing you."
"Well, we can continue this at home, then," I reply, a sly smirk on my face as I stand with my new fiance.
"Oh, I like the sound of that," He says playfully, pulling me into one last kiss as the snowfall gets heavier. I hold his hand and we begin to walk home, our laughter echoing through the air.

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist

Cozy Christmas tunes play softly in the background as I sit at a small table by the window at my favorite café, sipping on a steaming cup of hot chocolate. The air outside is crisp with a light dusting of snow, and the café is adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations.
My fingers trace the rim of my cup as I notice a handsome man sitting at the table across from me. Something about him catches my attention, he has a mysterious aura that I'm drawn to. Although, I don't make a move. I just keep to myself, sipping gingerly from my mug. The man is staring out the window, absorbed by the winter scene outside. He's got a cup of his own, untouched as if he'd forgotten about it.
I don't realize that I've been staring until our eyes meet and I quickly look away, glancing around the cafe in search of something else to look at. However, I find my eyes wandering back to his.
As if there were some gravitational pull between us, I muster up the courage to walk up to his table and strike up a conversation. But it seems that fate has other plans.
"Hey, I-" Before I can even get the words out of my mouth, I clumsily fall foward, spilling his drink and mine. The man jumps up out of his seat as the hot liquid spills onto his sweater and pants.
"Oh my God! I am so sorry! I really didn't mean to," I stammer, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment as I rush to get napkins. He doesn't seem to have that much of a reaction, but I keep apologizing.
"I'll pay for the dry cleaning. I'm really sorry!" I hand him the napkins and he cracks a smile. He then breaks into a warm chuckle, genuinely amused by the entire situation.
"It's fine, really," He assures me with a warm smile. "Accidents happen and I've had worse days." He says as he attempts to dry his clothes with the napkins. I bite my lip, still heavily embarrassed by my actions.
"Well, at least let me get you a new drink." My request is met with the man shaking his head once more.
"No, I insist, let me get you a drink, miss..." He pauses, not knowing what to call me.
"Oh, where are my manners. My name is Y/N." I introduce myself, holding my hand out. He puts the wet napkins onto the table and wipes his hand before shaking mine.
"Lakeith," He flashes me another smile. "Wait here, I'll be right back." He doesn't wait for my response before heading to order us new drinks. I take that time to grab a couple more napkins and wipe the rest of the mess off of the table he was sitting at.
When Lakeith comes back to the table after ordering, a wave of relief washes over me. He laughs as I apologize once more, his reassurance and easygoing nature making me chuckle as well. We sit across from each other, the initial awkwardness now replaced with shared laughter. It's not long before our fresh cups of hot chocolate are brought to our table.
"I'll make sure these ones come with extra caution," he says with a playful grin on his face. I giggle at the remark.
"Maybe I should drink mine with a lid to be safe," I reply as I gently take a sip from my mug.
"So, Y/N, you come here often?" He questions, causing me to choke back a laugh at the corny line. I place my mug back on the coaster and reply.
"I come here every once in a while. It's really nice this time of the year, yknow? A nice cup of hot coco on a snowy day like this." Lakeith's gaze shifts to the snowy scene outside.
"I can agree. Honestly, I like to sit here and observe people. It's nice to see the city come alive with the holidays." His eyes light up as he speaks. I nod in agreement.
"Absolutely, it's a beautiful sight. I feel like magical things happen this time of year." I admit, blushing softly. Lakeith gazes at me, a warm smile on his face. He looks down at his mug and lifts it up, holding it out towards me.
"To unexpected encounters... and the magic of the season."
I smile, clinking my cup against his, "To spilled drinks and cute strangers." My response has a bit of a flirty undertone and we both share a grin as we sip from our cups. The conversation flows effortlessly as we learn more about each other. It seems as if Lakeith and I are the only ones in the room right now. It's refreshing to be able to connect with someone who I just met and I'm eager to know more.
As we continue talking, the ambiance of the café seems to fade into the background, leaving just Lakeith and me in our little bubble of warmth and laughter. The hum of Christmas tunes and chatter dampens around us as our conversation deepens. I was right in my earlier statement. The magic of Christmas wraps around us like a comforting embrace, and in this fleeting moment, I realize that sometimes, spilled drinks and chance encounters can lead to something far more enchanting than we could have ever imagined.

12 Days of Christmas Masterlist
Part 2 Here

The Samuels family's Christmas is always a hit. Family comes from all over down to the small town of Leavenworth, Washington just to gather together for this holiday. This is where my grandmother and mother lives, keeping the roots strong. Although, we haven't really had a big family Christmas since before COVID hit, so this one is bound to be special.
Just a week ago, I completed a project for a high-paying client, affording me the luxury of having the entire week before Christmas off. Usually, I am booked up to my ears at this time, so I am grateful for the vacation. I got to the house late last night, and so far, only a handful of aunts, uncles, and a few younger cousins had arrived. As the sole young adult present, I find myself shouldering the full force of our family's 'charm'.
I wake up early this morning in my old bedroom, starting my day with a warm shower. Once I'm dressed and freshened up, I head downstairs, hearing some chatter. I greet my grandmother, who is on the couch, watching her shows. She is always excited to see me.
"Good morning, Grandmother." I say with joy as I give her a warm hug.
"Oh, my beautiful Mimi." She calls my childhood nickname, her hand reaching out to cup my cheek with a gentle tremor. "You are turning into such a beautiful and remarkable woman. I can't tell you how proud of you I am." Her eyes reflect pure love, and I can't help but return her smile. The connection between my grandmother and me is unique, given that I am her first granddaughter.
"Thank you, Grandmother. I'm so happy that I could get to come see you. I know I haven't been around as much since I moved to New York for work," I admit, a twinge of guilt behind my words.
"Don't you worry about that, dear. You're here now, and every moment with my grandbaby is a blessing," she reassures me warmly. "I think your mom and aunts are in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Why don't you go in and see how you can help?" She suggests.
With a nod, I rise from the couch, placing a tender kiss on her cheek before making my way into the kitchen. As I enter, the lively banter of my mom and aunts fills the air, mid-gossip in the midst of breakfast preparations. I'm embraced by the scent of bacon and brewing of coffee. The women pause their gossip for a moment, shifting their attention to me.
"Well, look who decided to get up bright and early!" My mom exclaims, giving me a quick embrace. "Here, you take over the bacon for me. I need to get started on the pancakes," she adds, directing me to her spot at the stove. My aunts greet me with a cheerful "good morning" before seamlessly resuming their conversation with my mother.
The kitchen was bustling with activity, filled with the savory aroma of the many dishes being cooked. The Auntie's hands are kept busy as they catch up on the latest gossip and I snicker to myself as I focus on my task. The house starts to wake up as I hear my little cousins stomping down the stairs, their childish giggles over the chatter of the rest of the family.
I'm lost in my thoughts when my attention is abruptly diverted by an unexpected question from Aunt Pat, who's currently cooking the eggs.
"So, Naomi, you got a man yet?" The other ladies in the kitchen fix their gaze on me, awaiting my response. I stammer for a moment but then decide to keep it light.
“Well, no. I’m not really focused on that right now,” I reply with a shrug, hoping they’ll drop The subject. They don’t, of course.
“Come on now. You not getting any younger.” Adds my aunt Tina. My mom gives them a disapproving look as she closes the fridge.
“Y’all, leave my baby alone. It is too early for this.” Mom defends, but they roll their eyes.
“We’re just chatting, Angie. Besides, don’t you want some grandbabies?” Tina asks, Aunt Pat nodding in agreement.
"Naomi can wait for the right man as long as she needs. Better that than popping out babies without a ring," my mom subtly throws shade, her lips pursed. Aunt Pat raises an eyebrow.
“You tryna say sumn, Ang? Cus' whoever I think you're talking about has definitely gotten married since.” She says matter of factly. My mom ignores her.
"And Tina, don't start on Mimi, what about Ashanti? She still don't got a man either. And she 'bout the same age as Naomi." My mom adds.
"My Ashanti is a famous and successful model. She is busy building her life right now and taking care of her business. Besides, she's seeing someone," Aunt Tina states, turning her nose up. Sensing that my mom is about to say something else, I decide to intervene.
"Let's all calm down. I don't have a man, so what? It's not the end of the world. And, for the record, I have a successful career as well," I declare, raising my hands in defense. Aunt Tina's comment lingers in the air like a passing storm, briefly unsettling the familial calm.
"Just saying, you're almost thirty. Time to settle down. And I'd hardly call those cute little drawings you do a successful career," she persists, earning a disapproving look from my mother. I clench my jaw, determined not to let the remark sting.
"But we'll drop it," Aunt Tina announces, attempting to change the subject. The kitchen regains its lively atmosphere as they return to their culinary duties. My mother shoots me an apologetic glance, understanding the delicate nature of the topic, but I reassure her with a soft smile. I've grown accustomed to my family's concerns about my love life, even if their ideas of success differ from mine.
"Where is Teresa, anyways? And James? I saw the kids last night, but I haven't seen them." I ask, looking at my Aunt Pat.
"Oh, they're upstairs sleep. They really got a handful with them kids." She explains, shaking her head. I laugh a bit.
"Well, it seems like I'm not the only one who needed this vacation. Hopefully we will all get to relax." I let out a sigh.
"Well, don't you worry, none. Ashanti will be here any moment! I know y'all always have a good time together." Aunt Tina says. I look at her out of the side of my eyes and give a fake smile.
"Oh, I'm sure we'll have lots of fun." I respond, trying to hide the sarcasm in my voice. As they chop, stir, and laugh, I find myself wondering what's to come of this trip. My thoughts go back to what my aunts said about my love life.
Even though I'm almost thirty, I've never been one to go searching for a man, much less settle for less than I deserve. My art, my "cute little drawings," as Aunt Tina put it, is not just a hobby—it's my passion. And while it may not fit the conventional definition of success in their eyes, it brings me fulfillment and joy. And I want that when it comes to love as well.
As I plate the last pieces of bacon and turn away from the stove, my phone rings. It’s my brother Daniel.
“Hey Danny.” I greet as I walk out the kitchen.
“Naomi! You already at mamas?” He asks me.
"Yeah, flew in last night. We're about to have breakfast," I reply.
"Bet, well, I'm on my way there, about nine hours out. Been on the road for a while. Just calling to let you know I'm bringing a guest." My interest piques, and I raise my eyebrows.
“Oh? Is it a girl?” I tease. I can almost feel him rolling his eyes at me.
“No, it’s not. It’s one of my colleagues who needs a place to be for Christmas, so I offered to let him come.” Daniel explains.
“Oh, okay. Just a heads up, the aunties are already in my business so make sure you got your shit together.” I share a laugh with him and, over the sounds of the road in the background, I can barely make out a second laugh. I choose to ignore it.
“Who knows, maybe my guest can help you get your shit together if you, uh, catch my drift.” He teases. I roll my eyes in return and give a sarcastic laugh.
“This is not about to be you tryna hook me up with one of your friends again. We both know how that ended up last time.”
“I know, I know. Don’t worry, it’ll be none of that, I promise. But don’t tell anyone I’m bringing someone. I want it to be a surprise.” He tells me.
"Sure, secret's safe with me," I respond, curious as to who he could be bringing.
"Alright, I'll catch you when I get home. Hopefully, everyone will still be up." He chuckles and I laugh along as well.
"Yeah, we'll see. Drive safe. See you when you get here." I say, before ending the call. As I hang up with Daniel, I can't help but wonder about the mysterious guest he's bringing. Returning to the kitchen, I start setting up the table as the delightful aroma of breakfast fills the air. Yet, my thoughts persistently drift back to the impending surprise.
A rhythmic knock echoes through the house coming from the front door, which promptly swings open.
"I'm hereeeee!" All of us in the kitchen pause to glance toward the entrance as my cousin, Ashanti, strides in. Draped in a fur coat and chic heeled boots, she's come with numerous bags.
Smiles light up the room, and everyone rushes to welcome her with hearty hugs. I hug her as well, but it's a bit stiff. Shanti and I grew up together and we used to be very close. But somewhere along the line, she started competing with me and it put a rift between us.
Amidst the flurry of greetings, I catch a glimpse of Ashanti's perfectly styled hair and the air of confidence she exudes. Despite the awkwardness between us, I manage a genuine smile, hoping that the holiday spirit will bridge the gap that has quietly settled over the years.
As the family gathers around, Ashanti unveils a cascade of presents from her bags. "Gifts for everyone!" she announces, and the room erupts with excitement. The children eagerly approach, but she urges them to wait their turn. The tension between us momentarily fades as the joy of the holiday season takes center stage. The gifts she gives are lavish and luxurious. As everyone gets their gifts, she saves the last one for me.
"And last, but certainly not least, this is for you, Naomi." Ashanti hands me a neatly wrapped gift. I smile and open it, eager to see what is inside. While I had no specific expectations, what I got is far from what I had expected. As I tear away the paper, I find myself holding what appears to be a Dollar Tree sketchbook, lacking the quality I might have hoped for.
"Oh, a sketchbook..." I attempt to conceal my disappointment, realizing she intentionally chose a less-than-impressive gift.
"No need for thanks! I just knew you'd love it. You know, with your little artsy thing you got going on. I figured it would be a perfect gift," she says, offering a feigned smile and a hug. Despite having plenty of similar sketchbooks, I decide not to grant her any satisfaction, accepting the gift graciously.
The room is still buzzing with the cheer of the holiday festivities, and as I hold the seemingly ordinary sketchbook, I take a deep breath, reminding myself that the value lies in the gesture rather than the material itself.
I manage a polite smile, masking any traces of disappointment, and reply, "Thank you, Ashanti. It's thoughtful." She beams, seemingly content with her choice of gift, and the tension between us lingers beneath the surface.
The following hours whirl by in a flurry of activity. I spend most of the day hanging out with my younger cousins, keeping them occupied while everyone else relaxes. It's a great feeling to be home and around my family once again, no matter how old I get.
There are a couple gifts beneath the tree and the fireplace blazes brightly. Grandmother, nestled in her recliner by the fireplace, skillfully crochets a blanket and my uncles huddle around the TV to watch a football game. Mom has just set out hot chocolate for the kids, while the aunties are talking with each other in the study. Ashanti is upstairs, probably on her phone or something. Meanwhile, I find myself on the couch, sketch pad in hand, allowing my creativity to flow.
The sun has dipped below the horizon and a flurry of snow blankets the world outside. I glance toward the window, crossing my fingers that the roads won't freeze over and that Daniel and his mystery guest will arrive soon. The children steal the TV, watching some cartoons while a few of my uncles head onto the porch for a smoke. This calm is one I've longed for over the years—it gives me a sense of nostalgia, sending me back to the carefree days of my childhood.
My cousin, Teresa, who was asleep all day, comes downstairs and sits beside me. I smile as I look up from my sketches at her.
"Hey, cuz!" She says, giving me a hug.
"Hey, you slept good?" I ask, giggling a bit.
"Girl, yes, it was MUCH needed. You really don't understand how much you miss naps until you have children." She sighs heavily and I nod sympathetically.
"Yeah, I figured when I saw James come down here and not you, you were still getting your rest." I say teasingly. Teresa rolls her eyes.
"Hey, those beds are comfortable." She retorts, defending herself.
"Well, at least now you get a break, right? You got some help." Teresa sits back and nods.
"I'm so glad to just be here. It's been a while since we were able to take a trip like this."
"Something tells me that this trip is gonna be one to remember." I say, mostly to myself.
"Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see." Teresa says, before standing up and heading to the kitchen.
As time goes by, I hear the doorbell ring again. I remain seated, engrossed in my drawing. Mom answers and her sudden loud exclamation echoes through the house as she lets the visitors in. Intrigued, I look up from my sketches, wondering who it could be. I get up and walk over to the door, first seeing my big brother standing there. He's smiling widely as he sees the shocked look on Mom's face. However, as I approach, I see who she's really screaming about.
There, standing beside Daniel on the doorstep is none other than famous actor Michael B. Jordan. My jaw drops in astonishment as I can't believe my eyes.
"Danny, what is this? You didn't tell me you were bringing a guest!" She exclaims, the unspoken emphasis being, 'You didn't tell me that you were bringing Michael B. Jordan!'
"Just thought I'd surprise you, Ma. And Michael, here, didn't have anywhere to stay for Christmas. So I invited him to stay with us for the week. Is that alright?" He asks, sporting a sheepish grin. My mother stammers for a moment, caught off guard by this surprise. She glances at Michael, who presents her a giftwrapped bottle of expensive-looking wine, flashing that gorgeous smile of his. Still in shock, she stammers as he hands her the gift.
"Merry Christmas, Mrs. Samuels. I hope I'm not intruding too much." He gives her a hug, giving her a squeeze. My mother, still processing the surprise, hugs him back, her eyes gleaming with disbelief.
"Oh, you're not intruding at all! Well, welcome to our home, Michael!" She starts as he lets go of her and stands in the doorway. "We're honored to have you join us for Christmas."
"The honor is all mine." He responds. By now, news of Michael's arrival has spread through the house. Danny brings him in, brushing snow off of himself, and I catch his eye. He winks at me knowingly as our family rushes to greet Michael and take pictures. I smile and shake my head at Daniel. It seems his "colleague" was quite the understatement. My little cousins jump excitedly at meeting the man who played Killmonger and my aunties and uncles are chatting to him loudly, talking over one another.
I watch all the commotion with a smile, when I lock eyes with Michael. He looks as if he is gonna approach me, but he's stopped by Ashanti.
"Hi, my name is Ashanti! You look like you need a drink." She says, before grabbing his arm and leading him away from the lively group. I suppress a sigh of awkward disappointment as she shoots me a mischievous glance over her shoulder. Just then, Daniel drapes an arm around my shoulder, steering me toward the study for a chat.
"Daniel!" I exclaim in a hushed tone as a cheeky grin plays on his face. He simply shrugs, not making a response. "Daniel!" I repeat, this time playfully socking him in the arm with an excited smile on my face.
"Surprise?" He offers, having anticipated my reaction.
"How the hell did you manage to get Michael Bakari Jordan to come to the Samuels household?!" I try to contain my excitement, but my words come out with an unintentional squeal. He laughs, feigning pain as he clutches his arm.
"It's like I said. He didn't have anywhere to be for Christmas. I didn't tell y'all, but this last project I was working on was with Michael and it was set to go into the Christmas holiday. Luckily, we ended up finishing early. Michael had tried to plan ahead and sent is parents and siblings on a Christmas cruise so they'd still have a good time. Well, during the project, Michael and I talked frequently and he mentioned not having anywhere to go, so I invited him to come here." He explains. I'm still in disbelief.
"This is insane. I never expected you to actually bring him. And he's staying until Christmas?"
"Yep, so he gets the full Samuels family experience for the holidays. But, you should go out and meet him yourself, Mimi. Knowing Ashanti, she's probably talking his ear off by now." He pats my shoulder, and I take a deep breath before stepping out of the study.
My heart is racing in my chest as I walk towards the kitchen. I've been a fan of his for the longest and now he's in my house. I'm trying to think of what I'd say to him. I find myself, instead of going to meet Michael, pacing around the dining room away from everyone else. I'm not usually this nervous or shy. But something about this man just makes me go crazy.
"Come on, Naomi," I say to myself, rubbing my palms on my jeans. I pace a bit more before I shake my head at my ridiculousness. With another deep breath, I head out of the dining room and towards the kitchen once more. There Michael and Ashanti are sitting at the bar, engaged in a conversation. It looks as if Ashanti is just talking about herself and her many accomplishments while showing him her photos. As I get closer, Michael glances over and notices me, giving me that famous smile again.
"Hey, Michael..." I start, and he watches me, waiting to hear what I'm gonna say. I decide to just go for it. "Mind if I steal you away for a bit?" I bite my lip, avoiding Ashanti's eyes as she glares at me. The corners of Michael's mouth turn up as the sound of my voice reaches him.
"Well, actually, Nao-"
"Yeah, I don't mind." He interrupts Ashanti as he stands, grabbing his glass . "Thanks for the drink, Ashanti." He says, but she rolls her eyes as she watches us leave. We make our way to the upstairs common area and sit on the couch. Michael sits a bit close to me, draping his arm along the back of the couch as he gets comfortable.
"You know, I was just looking for an excuse to take a break from her," He says, leaning into me. "Thanks for rescuing me." I laugh a bit at his words.
"Well, I'm happy to help. I'm always willing to answer the call of a damsel in distress." I joke, trying to break the ice. He chuckles a bit.
"It looked that bad, huh?" He replies and I nod, overexaggerating it a bit. "Well, then I guess that makes you my knight in shining armor." He grins charmingly and I have to stop myself from melting.
"Ah, where are my manners. I'm Naomi, Daniel's sister. I would've introduced myself sooner, but you seemed a bit busy." I laugh nervously, struggling to sit still under his gaze.
"So you're this troublesome Mimi I've heard so much about?" Michael questions and I freeze, blushing in embarrassment. There's no way Daniel really told him about my nickname. I regain my composure and clear my throat.
"First of all, I don't know where this troublesome idea of me came from, cuz it's definitely not true." I retort, playfully turning my nose up.
Michael grins, his eyes filled with amusement. "Hmm, I don't know, Daniel talks about you quite a bit and based on his stories, you seem pretty troublesome to me." He leans back, a playful glint in his eyes as he observes my reaction. "But don't worry, I'm all for a bit of trouble."
I chuckle, feeling a bit more at ease with his easygoing demeanor. "Well, if that's the case, I hope you're ready for the full Samuels family experience. We're a handful, but it's all in good fun."
"So, Naomi," Michael begins, his eyes gleaming with curiosity, "Aside from being a troublemaker, Daniel tells me you're an artist."
I playfully roll my eyes at the "troublemaker" label. "Oh, yes, it's my favorite thing to do. I love to draw, paint, you name it."
"What would you say inspires you?" He asks, his expression showing genuine curiosity.
"I just feel like art is my way of keeping some semblance of sanity in this chaotic world, you know what I mean?" I explain.
"Yes, I know exactly what you mean." He says, nodding his head. "It must be a nice escape from the chaos of the world to be able to express yourself through art. I love listening to music; it helps me find clarity when my thoughts get too messy."
"I completely get that. And it's just a plus that I get to do it for a living." I say with a content smile.
"So being an artist is your full-time job?" he questions, his tone laced with intrigue.
"Yeah, at first it was a hobby, but it got so successful that I was able to quit my other job and do it full-time."
"An artist, huh? Anything I might've seen?" he asks, genuinely interested. I shrug casually.
"Possibly. I do commissions for all types of people, I've got a few pieces in the Brooklyn Museum, I also run an art page on Instagram, so maybe you've seen some of my art." I pull out my phone and show him my page. He takes the phone from my hands, scrolling and raising his eyebrows in surprise.
"These are amazing," he says quietly, clearly impressed. "Do you draw from real life often? It's so realistic and…detailed" He continues, running his fingers along my phone screen lightly.
"I'm experimenting with some other media forms, but yeah, all of these I painted from real life. Some of them even went for really high prices. My most recent piece went for $3,000. But I've been working on that one for months. It was a commission for the governor of New York."
"Wow! It's amazing. You got some serious talent girl!" He praises, giving me a high five. I laugh, blushing a bit as he compliments me. He hands me my phone back and pulls his out, going to my account on his Instagram and following it. It takes everything within me not to scream.
"Thank you. Art is just a huge passion for me. I love to make other people happy with it as well." I admit. Michael notices me blushing when it sinks in he just followed my account.
"Well, you've got a new fan." He says with a sly grin, leaning against my shoulder. "I might have to use your services sometime." He says, his gaze lingering on mine.
"Yeah, I mean, I'm down to make anything you'd like." I blurt out, before realizing what I'd just said. "I... didn't mean it like that." I let out a sheepish laugh and clasp my hands together. Michael laughs as well, but he really is just enjoying himself.
"How about you make a portrait of me?" He suggests, a hint of playfulness in his tone.
"When? Right now?"
"I'll leave it up to you. We got the next couple days." He reminds me with a wink.
"Okay, but you'll have to be on your A-game this whole week. Are you up for the challenge?" I question, matching his tone.
Michael leans in, his voice low and teasing. "I'm always up for a challenge, especially if it involves spending more time with someone as captivating as you."
I feel a flush of warmth, and I playfully roll my eyes. "Flattery will get you everywhere, Mr. Jordan."
He grins, unfazed. "Is that a promise, Ms. Samuels?"
"Absolutely," I reply, laughing a bit and enjoying our banter. Even though we've just met, it feels like we've been friends for a while. Michael takes note of the easy chemistry that we have, and that chemistry sets the tone for a vacation filled with shared moments and the promise of a memorable Christmas.
"Any other hidden talents I should know about, Naomi?" He questions me. Somewhere in our conversation, we've gravitated so close on the couch that there's no space between us. Yet, the proximity feels comfortable now, and any initial nervousness has dissipated.
"Well, you'll have to find that out, won't you?" I respond with a sly smirk.
"Oh, she wants to be mysterious now?" Michael chuckles, his dimples showing as he smiles at me.
"She does indeed. As you said, we've got these next few days. You'll just have to see for yourself," I reply, glancing at the clock to realize how late it has gotten. Most of the children have already fallen asleep, and the aunts and uncles have retired to their rooms. It appears that the family is settling down for the night. Michael and I exchange glances, acknowledging the quieting atmosphere around us.
"I guess it's time for us to call it a night," Michael suggests, a yawn coming from him. I nod in agreement, feeling a sense of contentment in the air.
"Yeah, it's getting late. Goodnight, Michael." I say, rising from the couch. Michael follows my actions and stands up.
"Goodnight, Naomi." He pulls me into a brief hug, and I reciprocate, my arms instinctively wrapping around his waist. After a moment, we separate, and I turn to make my way to my room.
"Uh..." Michael utters softly. "Which way is the guest room?" He asks. I smile and chuckle.
"It's down the hall, second door on the left," I reply, pointing him in the direction.
"Ah, okay, goodnight again." He says, before walking towards his room.
"Goodnight," I say softly, heading into my bedroom and getting ready for bed. I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and stare for a moment. Out of nowhere, I break out into a victory dance and squeal silently. I still cannot believe that Michael B Jordan is at my house, or that he's going to be staying here for a week, or that he might even like me! I take a deep breath and compose myself once more, worried I might wake someone.
As I settle into bed, the tranquility of the night wraps around me like a warm blanket. Reflecting on the unexpected turns of this day, I realize exactly how crazy this whole day has been. I can only hope that this isn't a dream. With a contented sigh, I drift off to sleep, eagerly anticipating the things to come these next few days.

Dear black readers,
Don’t be afraid to write that fanfic . Regardless of the film, celebrity, book, show, character, sexuality, genre, or whether you think it's good or not write it! There isn't nearly enough fan fiction for us to appreciate or relate to as it is. We’re just as important as any other reader and if the fandom claims that the character would never be interested in a black person, and?! How the hell they know? There's a reason it’s called fan fiction... Don't be ashamed to write it because you fear nobody will read it, they will. It's important, in my opinion, that black readers be able to visualize themselves in the book. So write the story! 🫶🏾

possessive Fontaine
You always knew Fontaine was the possessive type. Not the loud “yells at anyone who stares at you” kind of possessive. But the “I know I'm lucky” possessive. The type to plant hickeys all over your neck for other niggas to see when they're talking to you. he gets a kick outta the ones who stare at them for too long
You were at the bar with yoyo and slick. Fontaine decided not to go since in his words “he got other shit to do.” your main plan was to stick together incase some weird shit happens but after a few drinks that plan was dropped. Yoyo was dancing while slick was god knows where and now you’re chopping it up with some nigga that claimed to “know you from way back.”
“Yeah, you haven't changed a bit! Same eyes as your mama” the older man said. You laughed nervously as you looked around the atmosphere. The guy began to compliment you again and again. Comments like “you look just like ya mama” and “you've gotten so grown” made your skin crawl.
You look at your phone checking the time, but you ended up seeing missed calls from Fontaine. not just one, but Multiple. You looked around looking for Yoyo and slick knowing that if Fontaine called multiple times, it was something serious.
The older man's words suddenly turned into mumbles as you looked around seeing Slick and Yoyo nowhere in sight. You look down at your phone worried as you start to call Fontaine but something stops you. The older male said something as you weren't paying attention and a tall broad man stood behind you.
“Yeah, she's a real gem huh?” he agreed.
The dark male's voice sent chills down your spine causing you to turn your shoulders, face to face with your boyfriend. Fontaine didn't say anything to you. His low-lidded eyes said more than enough. As you walked outside you remembered Slick and Yoyo were still in the club. Or so you thought.
“What about yoyo and-”
“They left.”
Fontaine didn't look at you. His hands in his pockets, eye facing straight ahead, it all worried you. But what worried you most was Yoyo and Slick leaving you at the club knowing what could have happened. Especially with the weirdo you were talking to.
You both get into his car. As you look down on your lap you feel a heavy shake from Fontaines side of the car. You smack your thick lips. “Damn nigga you ain't needa slam the door that hard.” but he didn't say anything, let alone look at you. He was giving you the cold shoulder.
“..taine” cold shoulder again. You sigh deeply. The car ride home was quiet
Fontaine set the car to park and took his key out the car. Before he could open the door you grab his shoulder. “Fuck you touching me for?’ he mumbles. “Fontaine it wasn't what it looked like” Your hand laid on his shoulder. “So you at the bar flirting to some older nigga wasn't what it looked like?” he turns to you, his grills shining as his nose turns up in irritation. “No, it wasn't! And you know I wouldn't do that shit to you” your voice cracked. You didn't want Fontaine to be worried about you. You were a big girl and you didn't need some hood nigga taking care of you, but you also didn't want him to think you were someone to share around. “Then what was it?”
You ended up telling him everything that happened. From the plan, to the creepy comments. You made sure to lay everything onto the table.
“Why didn't you say shit at the club?” he sighs looking straight at the driver's wheel as he sucked his teeth. “ ‘cus I know you taine and ion need that type of attention on me.” your eyes stuck at your dress. “That dress giving you every type of attention” Your boyfriend examines your short dress with a deep breath and hand rubbing his beard. He thought you looked jaw dropping but knowing Fontaine, he wasn't gonna let you see him fold so quickly, especially after what just happened. What’d you expect? He's stubborn. You smile, “Whatchu meannnn..” you laugh as you cross your hands, looking at him from the side.
And like that, flirting quickly turned to fucking.
Fontaine's rough hands groping your titties, ass, and hips time and time again. His name leaves your thick lips over and over again. the car windows steaming with warm breaths of ecstasy.
“Ion won't no other nigga looking at you” Fontaine groins. “ion care if yo ass was green, don't no nigga need to be laying they eye on what's mine.” you nod, too breathless, too caught up with with the feeling of Fontaine's hands rubbing that spot on your clit. ‘I'm all yours taine” you finally sigh. Your legs shaking as you finally came. But the rhythm of Fontaine's hips continued. His hands gripping your ass as his head lays back.
“Fontaine, i cant..” you hold his arm. ‘I know baby i know, just relax mama m’kay?” you nod lightly laying yourself on his chest. Your warm breath on his neck. “Where you want it baby?” Fontaine's raspy voice asked. You were so fucked out of it, you couldn't let out coherent words. “In…side..” you moaned as Fontaine came inside you.
“You got it all on my dress!” you yelled out quietly as Fontaine grabbed the house keys. “That’ll show dem weird niggas ya already fucking with someone.” you notice his grin from the side which made you smile.
He really made you feel like a gem tonight.

most people would say working with your significant other seems like a great time. Being around the one person you love more then life itself and earning a living at the same time? You couldn’t ask for a better deal. However, it did have its challenging moments..discipline and focus is an important part of anyone’s employment. Regardless of the job but especially when tending to someone’s beauty and esthetic needs, it was imperative to pay attention. Hence why your fiancée despised the fact that you were working alongside her as her new lash tech some days! Granted, she was thrilled to have you around and with an extra service and set of hands around, you guys’ income practically tripled. So it was a pretty sweet deal. However, you didn’t make it easy…in fact, you acted as if giving her a hard time was your actual occupation..
“Are you sure we can’t just fill them in and work around it? C’mon, Mika. You sure you can’t just do your magic?”
“Sweetheart, how long have you been a client of mine? I’m an artist, not a repair woman. Two things I refuse to do is fly coach and work over other people’s fuck ups. Now let’s soak these off so I can give you a fresh set. While you’re waiting, Armin can get you in the shampoo bowl. Since he’s sitting on his skinny ass, doing nothing.”
needless to say, it was never a dull moment! You guys’ hairstylist and resident smartass, Armin Artlert was currently seated in one of the styling chairs, typing away on his phone.
“And don’t forget looking cute. Just blind and grouchy.”
“Whatever. Help her before I suddenly find your replacement.”
it was obvious that the normally laid back nail tech was in rare form this morning. Not so much rude or angry but definitely on edge a little. The shop was a little busy but nothing more than usual for the Sugar and Spice Haus. It was normal for clients to be waiting outside the door so she couldn’t have been frazzled by that. So what exactly had her acting so strange? Perhaps it was a question better answered by the one person who knew her better than anyone else..and who ironically was the root cause of the issue!
“Oh, don’t pay her any attention, y’all. She’s just a little worked up. Isn’t that right, baby?”
just then, a rather gleeful (y/n) would come traipsing from the back of the salon..strapless dress and sandals, holding a caddy full of lash supplies. In return, the only thing you were met with was a decorated middle finger and the roll of dark, doe eyes. Your fiancée was quite the bratty thing when she wanted to be but she was oh so cute….
“Oh shut up. I’m not talking to you right now.”
hence why you took immense pleasure in teasing her among other things..something that began long before the two of you even opened shop this morning..

flashback: earlier that morning..

“Oh God!…yes..right there!…”
“Aw, is that your spot, baby? Are you gonna come?”
the high pitch, condescending coo spouting from your lips rang off into the ears of your very whiny and overstimulated fiancée. Who had just been sleep only twenty minutes prior or so it would appear. Because as the two of you awoke for the morning, ready to start another day in the home and salon you shared as not only lovers, but business partners…you were met with a rather pleasant surprise. Faint whimpers and the sight of your precious Mikasa grinding herself against her pillow. Her tits spilling from her tank top; fondled in her palms, hair brushing against the sheets and her panties tugged to the side as her bare slit rubbed profusely against the memory foam material. She had to have been in utter bliss from the sounds erupting from her mouth. Not only that, she looked so sexy..however, you knew it was rather unbecoming of your woman too. Granted, your sex life was anything but mundane and the two of you took any opportunity plausible to fuck, lick or kiss on one another. However, for the past few days or so, she seemed to be evading you. Claiming to be far too exhausted for any sort of sexual activity. She’d shower alone and even halt you if things got too intense. One would think that was indicative of infidelity and that their partner was with someone else. But alas, her dirty little secret came to light and needless to say, you’d return the pent up sexual frustration ten fold!..
“Oh? What’s this?…” she just knew that once you unveiled the truth, you’d never allow her to live it down. And she was correct.
“(Y/N)..baby…fuck me!..”
the truth was, she had snuck behind your back and acquired a clit piercing. More than likely from the same artist who had decorated her skin in the plethora of tattoos she sported. But what she hadn’t counted on was becoming so hypersensitive afterwards. It was one of those things that could go either way, depending on the person. Getting piercings in intimate area could either make you lose all feeling or make you super sensitive to the touch. For poor Mikasa, she was the latter to a fault! You would’ve thought that she would’ve learned her lesson when she got her nipples pierced and they sent her into a frenzy with something as simple as putting on a bra on. But you were more than happy to meet her request..flipping her over onto her back, (y/n) promptly shoved your tongue into her mouth; jaw agape and slack from being on the brink of climax. Her pierced nipples puffy and erect and of course..that adorable little clit; marked with a silver ball and bar going through it. It looked so cute and she looked even more precious..practically begging for you to claim her. Slick surrounded that fat pussy of hers and you just knew she was close.
“Oh you poor thing…you’ve been holding out on me…don’t worry, mama. I’ll take care of you..”
reassuring her with your lips honing on her neck. Tender kisses trailing down her throat and those fingers following suit to her mound. Tracing your digits across her freshly waxed skin, you’d tease around the area, refusing to touch the actual bud. “But first..I need you to do sum’ for me, okay?” So gently cooing to her. At this point, she was desperate so she was at your mercy.
“Yes, baby!..whatever you want..”
crying out as you moved your fingertips lower as well as your mouth, leaving them to hover over her jeweled nipples. Drawing a long trail of saliva along with you in the process. That’s when you’d shove those two opposite fingers between her lips and force her to suckle, drumming up her own spit. “Suck on these f’r me. Get them wet…just like that.” She’d happily comply, knowing that you’d help her reach her peak soon. Whilst she was busy drooling and whining, you’d ease one digit inside of her with your thumb resting on her clit. She looked so helpless and vulnerable..turning you on more and more by the second. Mikasa’s back would raise from the bed as you pushed those digits knuckle deep into her core. You’d feel them suction and tighten around you and continue pressing until they were stained with a sheath of milky white and sticky clear liquid..dripping all down your nails. You kept them short just for special instances like these. So you could pump them in and out her pretty pussy and watch her squirm, yelping for more.
“Ah! Haaaa…oh my god! Right there! Yes…”
“Aw, am I in your spot, baby? Are you gonna come?”
nodding her head profusely; your dormant thumb now tracing circles against her clit and even flicking that piercing for added stimulation. Needless to say, she couldn’t hold back any longer and seconds later, when you finally gave her permission, you’d find your arm, the sheets and anything surrounding you two drenched in her juices. Squirting everywhere..and became inconsolable afterwards. “That’s it!…let it go, let it go for meee..squirt on those fingers.” Encouraging with loud cries ringing out through the bedroom. She was practically convulsing once you withdrew your fingers. Allowing them to drip, you’d dangle them over her lips and allow her to clean them off. “Mmmhm..taste yourself, baby…you look so pretty.”
running a hand along her torso and up to her throat yet again to wrangle her in for a kiss. Haven gotten a taste of her sweet essence, you decided to get your entire fill by finally leaving a trail of pecks leading to her pelvis before tousling your own side of the covers off and climbing on top of her. Without missing a step, you’d part her inked up legs and pin one back whilst intertwining the other with your own. From there, you’d tear off the thin lacy panties she was wearing off and put them to much practical use like gagging her. From there, you’d align your frothing slits and start grinding them against one another. Tugging down your own sports bra; dressed in only a bonnet and having fallen asleep with nothing on your lower half, you had become well aroused on your own from her little escapades. With that, Mika would buck her hips forward and work herself against you; meeting your thrusting with tearful pleas to keep fucking her. “Don’t stop, baby! Please don’t fucking stop…” her voice was cracking but her words very concise and clear. Those perky tits bounced around underneath as she gripped the silk linen underneath your bodies. The smacking of your clammy folds and warmth made for a beautiful chorus of steamy, nasty sounds filling the atmosphere…she wasn’t the only one feeling the pressure either because you soon found yourself nearing an orgasm. “I’m gonna come too, mama…fuck! You feel so good..”
laughing out of pure delirium and pleasure, unable to slow down in fear that you’d come on the spot. Those sticky juices smeared across each of your thick thighs as those lower lips meshed together. Eventually, you’d find yourself leaning down to let your tongues clash as well. “Mmph! I love you…” “I love you too, Mika! Fuck, baby…come for me again..”
just then, she’d follow your order and flail around as another stream of juices exited both of your bodies. Spraying up everything in the vicinity. Rubbing those finger pads against her throbbing bud, (y/n) drummed out more and more until she couldn’t spill another drop. You found yourselves going round for round..drawing out one another’s arousal and all that you had to offer. An hour or so had past; an array of positions from being seated on her face while you ate her out, to riding a double sided dildo…
“Yes, baby! You look so pretty riding that fucking dick..go deeper..”
to finally ended your rather heated session with your fingers intertwined as you played with yourselves. Massaging those clots to your final climatic rushes. Coming down in a powerful high with tears streaming down your faces and squirt pooling down your legs. All in all, it seemed that her little piercing was a success and rather useful investment.. “C’mere..that feel good?..” “..yeah..thank you, baby..so much.” Fucked out and dazed from being overly stimulated. But neither of you regretted a thing..that was until you made another proposal with a deviant glare on your face..reaching over into the dresser, you’d retrieve another device: a controller vibrator. One you planned to utilize on her throughout the work day!
“Hell no, (y/n)! I can’t..”.
but it was too late..you had already placed it inside of her and would be utilizing it until you had your fill. You wanted to see how she fared with her little body modification when you were the one in control..and throughout an entire day of work.
maybe next time she wouldn’t keep such secrets from you!

𝔰𝔶𝔫𝔬𝔭𝔰𝔦𝔰 ➛ When Nat Love shows up after another one of his travels, you give him the cold shoulder. Although, you know as well as he does that you can’t stay mad at him. Hell, you can barely resist his smile. But you won’t make it easy for him…

The sun hangs low, casting long shadows through the dusty streets of Deadwood as the familiar creak of leather and jingle of spurs announces the arrival of a lone rider. Nat Love, the notorious bounty hunter, guides his horse to a halt in front of a weathered apothecary shop. He dismounts, a confident swagger in his step, and pushes open the creaking door.
Inside the shop, he spots me, my back turned as i carefully measure out herbs. I barely glance at the door towards the visitor. I continue my work, wanting to finish up before I tend to anyone. Nat clears his throat, his eyes fixed on the assortment of dried plants and glass jars that lined the shelves. “Need somethin’, ma’am,” he drawls, a hint of mischief in his voice as he picks up a jar of medicine. My fingers hesitate for just a moment, then resume their task with practiced precision. I know that voice, even after all this time.
Without turning around, I respond curtly, “Can’t help you if you don’t ask.”
He takes a step closer, his presence filling the small space. “Might be I need a little… healin’, Doc.”
I finally turn, my gaze meeting his with a cool detachment. He stands at the counter, towering over me as he watches me. “You might be needin’ more than that, from the looks of you.”
Nat chuckles, the sound warm and familiar. “You still not talkin’ to me?” he asks, his eyes searching mine for any sign of softening. My expression remains steely, my lips forming a thin line.
“I reckon I’ve got nothin’ to say.” I reply, my tone icy. He leans against the wooden counter, studying my face.
“You know, darlin’, you can’t stay mad at me forever.” I meet his gaze with a flash of defiance.
“I’ve not been keepin’ track of time.” The tension between us is palpable, a silent battle of wills that echoed through the apothecary shop. We stand there, locked in a familiar dance of push and pull, the weight of our shared history hanging heavy in the air.
As the moments stretch on, Nat’s gaze softens, a flicker of regret in his eyes.
“Y/n,” he says, his voice gentler now, “I didn’t come here to stir up no trouble. Just… needed to see your face.”
I hold his gaze for a beat longer. I lean in so that our faces are inches apart, then turn away, my hands resuming their work. “Well, you’ve seen it. Now what?”
Nat sighs, a mixture of resignation and longing in his expression. He knows that winning back my trust wouldn’t be easy, but he is willing to try. The wild frontier had a way of bringing people together and tearing them apart, but perhaps this time, they could find a way to bridge the gap that had grown between them.
"You fixin' to make a purchase, Mister? If not, reckon it's time to mosey on." I quipped, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
“Might be I’m lookin’ for a remedy to deal with a stubborn woman,” Nat shoots back, a playful glint in his eye.
“You’ll need more than a potion for that, cowboy.” I scoff, turning back towards him and crossing my arms. Nat’s eyes stay on me, his eyelids low. His spurs click against the widen floorboards as he makes his way around the counter, closing the distance between us.
“You always did have a mouth on you, Y/n. But you know, a sharp tongue won’t keep me away.” His eyes have a seductive glint in them. I meet his gaze, unyielding.
“Guess we’ll see about that, won’t we?” I retort, tilting my chin up as if to raise a challenge. Nat’s expression turns determined, a challenge accepted.
“You’re just beggin’ for trouble, ain’t you?”
“Trouble’s my middle name, Nat. Don’t you forget it.” I remind him, causing him to quirk his eyebrow. I defiantly do the same, a smirk playing at my lips. The air between us thick with tension as we stare each other down, daring the other to fold. Although, underneath all this bravado, there’s an undeniable chemistry that neither one of us can deny. He is, in fact, right. I can’t stay mad at him forever.
“Well, darlin', if you're gonna give me trouble," Nat grins, "then I reckon I'll just have to show you who's boss."
As the sun dips below the horizon, the last lights of the evening shine across the shop. Nat and I stare each other down, not giving in. After what seems like an eternity of silence, he finally leans in, his lips meeting mine in a kiss that is as fiery and defiant as I am. In that heated moment, I allow myself to be carried away, my bratty facade melting into the raw intensity of our connection.
Nat's hands find their place on my waist, his fingers pressing into my hips as he draws me closer to him. Our kiss is fervent and intense, a clear reflection of the magnetic pull between us. I wrap my arms around his neck, lightly grazing his lower lip with my teeth.
Nat lets out a soft moan against my lips, his hand gliding up my thigh to caress and grip one of my cheeks through my bloomers. Soon, he firmly holds both of my thighs, lifting me up, intensifying the kiss. Our desire is palpable as we move clumsily towards the stairs.
As we reach my room, he playfully throws me onto the bed. His hat lands beside him as he nonchalantly discards his jacket and unbuttons his shirt. Meanwhile, I effortlessly shed my clothes down to my undergarments.
Nat's gaze intensifies as he watches me undress, his heart racing with anticipation. He throws his shirt to the side, unveiling a sculpted chest and defined abs. His bulge is prominent as it strains against the fabric of his jeans. He leans me back into the bed, hastily removing the rest of my clothes as he gazes upon my dripping wetness. He doesn’t waste any time and presses his mouth to my pussy, causing me to gasp with pleasure. His tongue slips between my lips, lapping up all of my juices.
Nat takes his time, licking and slurping at my folds, using his tongue to probe and tease my clit before moving to the entrance of my pussy and thrusting his tongue inside of me. His hand’s grip remains firm on my thighs as I buck into his mouth.
“Oh, sweet Jesus, Nat~” I moan as my fingers knot into his hair. Nat groans into my crotch, loving the way I'm falling apart. He continues to lap at my folds and thrust his tongue deep inside of me, his other hand moving to grope my breast.
"That's it, baby girl. Keep calling my name." With every flick of his tongue, my release builds more and more. Feeling my body tense up beneath him, Nat increases the intensity of his actions. His tongue fucks my pussy relentlessly while his fingers pinch and roll my nipples, sending waves of pleasure coursing through my body.
"I'm gonna make you cum so hard," He remarks as he keeps one hand on my hip to hold me down. I squirm and writhe as the my climax reaches the breaking point. My moans fill the room as I squirt into his mouth, drenching his beard as well.
Nat groans around my swollen clit, his mouth filled with my sweet nectar. The taste of it drives him wild, his cock twitching in anticipation.
"Fuck, you taste amazing," He husks. I pant heavily as I lay back onto the bed, coming down from the high. But he has no intentions to give me the luxury of rest.
Without breaking eye contact, Nat slowly pulls away, his mouth still full of my juices. His eyes stay on me as he pulls down his britches, allowing his hard cock to spring free. He reaches down and grabs hold of his bulging erection, positioning it at my entrance.
“Ready for more, darlin’?” He teases. I bite my lip as I watch Nat stroke himself, his tip pressing against my entrance. My silence earns me a firm smack on my thigh, causing me to yelp in response.
“Where all them words from earlier, lil lady? You ain’t seem to struggle with words none when you had all that sass earlier.” Nat gives me a smug smirk as he sees my change in attitude. I gulp nervously, feeling the heat of his gaze on me. My mind goes blank as I try to think of something to say.
"I... I want you to fuck me." The words tumble out of my mouth before I can stop them. Nat chuckles darkly, his hand moving to grip my thigh roughly.
"That's more like it," Nat grins, his cock now rock hard and leaking precum. He continues to rub his cock between my folds, his tip getting slick with my juices. I whimper softly as the anticipation is killing me. I move my hips towards him, hoping for him to slide inside me. Nat clicks his tongue at me, smirking as he shakes his head. "You seem a mite impatient, don't ya?" He asks, causing me to groan as I grip the sheets.
“Nat, plea-” With a swift motion, Nat slams his cock deep inside me, filling me up instantly. A high pitch gasp emits from my lips as his girth stretches me. He groans loudly, bracing himself against the wall as he begins to pound his hips against mine. I cry out as he fills me so completely, my body aching with need. Nat's rough lovemaking sends shivers down my spine; it's both painful and exhilarating. The headboard bangs against the wall in rhythm with our grunts and moans. It’s as if all this time apart allowed our lust and longing to build and it’s all being released at once.
The more he hammers into me, the louder my moans become. I bite my bottom lip hard, trying to stifle some of the sounds but failing miserably. Nat's hips are like pistons, driving him deeper and harder into me. My body starts to adjust to his size, and I feel myself growing wetter around him. I clutch at his broad shoulders, my nails digging into his skin lightly.
"Fuck, Nat," I pant, "You so big." With a smirk, Nat leans down and captures my lips in a passionate kiss. His tongue dives deep into my mouth, tangling with mine as he goes deeper with each powerful stroke. I cry out, moaning into his mouth as the pleasure builds up inside me, my legs shaking with each movement. Nat's thick cock feels like it's hitting all the right spots, driving me crazy with need and lust. I arch my back against him, meeting his thrusts with my own, our bodies slapping together in a primal dance of desire. The headboard is starting to creak under the force of our passionate lovemaking.
I can feel myself getting closer to the edge, my orgasm building up rapidly. I try to match his pace, meeting each of his thrusts with a sharp gasp or moan.
"Nat," I gasp, "I'm close—!" My legs shake unsteadily as I try to maintain my balance under the onslaught of his passionate lovemaking. I can feel him getting closer, the head of his cock brushing against my sensitive nub with every thrust. He makes his reply by growling lowly as his fingers dig into my hips, thrusting even harder. The pain is dizzying and I find myself tearing at his back with my nails as I don’t hold back my screams. A slew of unintelligible words and whimpers fall from my lips as Nat drags his teeth across my neck, sucking hard on the skin.
“Cum for me, baby," he demands, driving his cock deeper still. And just like that, I'm lost in a whirlwind of pleasure.
“Oh fuck, Nat!" I scream, my body shuddering violently as wave after wave of orgasm washes over me. Nat follows quickly behind, his powerful thrusts becoming erratic as he releases himself deep inside me.
“Unngh...," Nat groans, collapsing onto me. His weight is heavy, but I welcome it, savoring the closeness we share in this moment. Our chests press against each others as we come back down to earth, our heartbeats matching.
As our breathing slowly returns to normal, I nuzzle his neck, my lips brushing against his soft skin.
"Damn, girl," Nat pants, rolling off of me. He wipes his sweaty forehead with the back of his hand and smirks at me. "That sure was a wild ride, sweetheart. Seems like you had a lot bottled up beneath them layers." He teases. I roll my eyes, giggling a bit.
"Well, I reckon I wouldn't have been so bottled up if a certain cowboy hadn't hightailed it outta here." I retort with a sly smile. Nat laughs and pulls me close to him, his muscles cradling me gently. He plants a kiss on my forehead and his hand runs down my side, resting on my ass cheek. He sighs softly, looking at me with low eyelids.
“Y/n, I’m here to stay, I swear on it.” He tells me, giving me a reassuring half smile. I return the smile, wanting to believe him, but deep down I know it ain’t the truth. A man like Nat can never stay too long. I know as well as he does that he’s got unfinished business.
My hand runs up and down his muscled bicep as I enjoy the time I have with him. It’s a cycle with us. Nat Love has to leave to go do what Nat Love does. I stay here, going on with life as I patiently await his return. He comes home eventually like nothing ever happened and it seems like he’ll actually stay this time, but something always comes up. It’s only a matter of time until-
*Knock knock* goes the front door from downstairs. Nat and I both sit up, instinctively reaching for our guns on the nightstand. Nat pulls on his pants and shirt while I put on a night gown that reaches my feet. We slowly make our way down the stairs, guns pointed as the banging at the door comes again. Nat steps in front of me, inching towards the door.
“We closed this time ‘round. Come back in the mornin’!” I call out towards the door.
“Y/n? It’s Bill Pickett, is Nat with you?” He asks through the door. Nat and I lower our guns and he gives me an apologetic look that I already know the meaning of. Nat sighs and opens the door.
"Bill, you sure do have the worst timing known to man." Nat chuckles, half smiling. Bill looks between us, realizing what was going on.
“My apologies, y’all was making sex. I hate to interrupt but you gots ta see this.” I glance at Nat, knowing what’s next. He turns towards me, giving me a sweet, longing kiss, before giving me his signature smile.
“I gotta go see what’s up, Y/n, but I’ll be back before you know it.” He promises, and I smile wryly. He gives me one last kiss on my forehead, before heading out the door, putting his hat on and riding off into the night with Bill Pickett. I know as well as he does that it could be a while before I see him again. But, still, I’ll wait. He has my heart and I know I have his, he will come back. I know it…
