UGH y'know what I'm gonna admit it:
I wish I could make silly little dragon noises. Like, idk something about being able to make inhuman sounding noises particularly makes me happy. Part of it is because they would be great vocal stims, too! There's just... one problem with that.
My voice never does what I want it to!!! ever!! I've had lots of reminders lately that I don't sound right in my brain. Not just the gender aspects, but like- I should be able to make noises! I should be able to have a much wider vocal range than I do. Not in pitch, but in like.... idk, flavor? I should be able to make a bunch of different sounds and I'm not. I'm hoping that doing voice training for gender reasons will help with that, since I'll actually learn to have some control over my voice. I'm just feeling particularly salty about it today, and wanted to throw it into the void since I know some other alterhumans will probably be able to relate.

You have no idea how hard this startled me (/POS) because "clunky" is the EXACT word I've been using since elementary school. When I told my brother my soul is draconic and I just happened to get plonked in a human body this lifetime, his first response was "yeah you always were complaining that your body was clunky."
this human body is clunky and heavy, can i have my old body back?
Would you want to use Dranonic pronouns as neos?
I fully respect neopronouns, and think they're cool as hell- but I could never use them myself. Not because there's some underlying dislike of them, but primarily because... idk man that's just so much work. I can barely get the guts up to correct someone when they don't use he/him for me, and those are pronouns that are already normalized.
But, of course, that's not the only reason- otherwise I would recognize it as a thing I wanted to do but couldn't. But as is I just don't feel like any I've seen would fit right, and frankly all the dragon-y ones I've seen just don't flow right in a sentence in my brain. Like if I had to use neopronouns I'd want them to be pretty and flowy sounding. Ultimately I do think that there are ways I'd like to express being draconic more, but I don't think pronouns are quite where it fits.
everything I know about dragons
June 18th, 2024 [draft]
they are scaled hearts born
from visions of sperm whales
blowing smoke in the vast sea.
they are victims of rightousness,
they fall beneath the sword,
forked tongues hanging from
bloodied mouths as,
one after the other,
they are beheaded.
they are born in rivers
and spit fire and burrow
in the cool earth. they
live alone and don't know why.
they are just beasts.
they are just beasts.
and they hunger like any of us.
I hunger like any worm
at the bottom of a well.
let the sword fall cold
against my chest, but
draw no blood. I just want
to be close to somebody.
that is all that I know.
