This’ll be handy to know for my future works, especially in furry works.

Landscape LanguageVibrissae (noun) Tactile Whiskers Just Like Cats And Many Other Mammals, Squirrels

Landscape Language Vibrissae (noun) – tactile whiskers Just like cats and many other mammals, squirrels have vibrissae, or long, specialized whiskers that help them sense the environment around them. Squirrels have vibrissae around the nose, on their cheeks, above the eye, and on the throat. They also have some near the wrist and elbow, and a few on the belly and base of the tail. It is believed vibrissae can supplement short-distance vision, letting the animal sense fine details of texture and easily navigate complex terrain, like forests. They also help squirrels feel vibrations that could warn them of predators or help them find food. _______ NPS/I. Metzen Photo of a Douglas squirrel. Description: A grey-brown squirrel with long whiskers perches on a stump. ~kl

Next time we make our brews of tea, tisane, or coffee, let us age our leaves & infusions & brew accordingly.

I find a lot of arguably mean things funny, but there’s a special place in my heart for hardcore hipsters who insist they love tea despite having no idea how to brew it and just choking down that hot bitter disaster while insisting it’s God’s gift to man

Pirka ikkewe ampe, Emina katu, Pirka kewtum ampe, Anramus ampe, Esamanki, Pirka irenka ampe, wa uwehorka sam.

(Loyalty, Laughter, Honesty, Kindness, Magic, Generosity, and the opposite sides.) As much as they are essentially the opposites of the Mane 6, the LoD (Legion of Doom) members (Cozy Glow, Chrysalis, Sombra, & Tirek) are the only truly/outright evil villains, since unlike the others, they weren’t able to be reformed.

Hi! Do you speak an indigenous language?

E, I do speak one. In fact, the language of Ainu is included in most of my posts on this blog whether in the first part of the description or in the blog tags after finishing (often with both), with the translations coming after in either case. As it turns out, despite a large number of learning resources & even scripts for Ainu, there is the same glaring lack of braille or known sign language forms of it that would be best addressed for the sensory deprived. Me & my editor are wondering whether it should be in French ordered (like with most languages including my father’s native Mongolian, which in turn was derived from the Russian form), Japanese ordered (like my mother’s culture), or have its own kind of braille order. In either case, this would help accessibility to the culture & education profoundly even if the people learning about it & its adaptations aren’t in Ya Un Moshir (the Ainu homelands).
