a/n: hello my lovely ! i hope you enjoyed this ! i may have made it a little angsty because tensions were UP UP ! and i hope i conveyed it well

jungwon peeked out from underneath the blankets, eyeing your studious form at your working desk. he’d been very patient (it’s already been more than an hour), waiting (rolling around in bed, upset) with the promise of cuddles after you had finished revising. 

“are you done with your revision?” he inched closer to the side of the bed, moving stealthily towards you. “i just started, silly kitty.” You hadn’t turned around to reply him, but jungwon could picture the eye-roll you gave him.

he silently huffed, opting to sit in the empty chair beside you instead of lying down in your bed.

“how much more studying do you have?” jungwon squinted at the diagrams on your laptop screen. a pause, then a sigh, “a lot.” he reached out, fingers curling around your forearm but frowned at your distinct lack of attention. 

you lightly steered him away from your study space with a nudge, prying his death grip on your forearm off.

so back he was, staring at you scribbling away. swinging himself back and forth on the roller chair, his eyes darted back and forth from you and the ticking clock at the corner of your desk. 

tail swishing in annoyance, he chewed the inside of his cheek as silence seemed to stretch out endlessly—poor jungwon, he just wanted his hourly dose of attention from you. 

“are you done yet?” his ears perked up when you closed your textbook.

“no.”

your one worded replies weren’t going to deter him; he was getting as desperate as he could get. “please, i want—” a single glance from you was enough to make him back down, lips immediately zipping shut. 

“jungwon, quit it! i'm trying to focus here! you’ve been fidgeting around me and i’m having a hard time trying to memorize! do you know how stressed i am?!” 

now it was jungwon’s turn to get upset. 

“you’ve been out studying like crazy, and i know you’re more than capable of getting a good grade! you promised me! you said we could spend the weekends together! i haven’t seen you all week, you know?” jungwon exhaled, annoyance ebbing out of his body as soon as he finished his rant. 

his ears flattened at the top of his head: why weren’t you saying anything?

you looked at him, guilt expressed visibly in the way your shoulders sagged. “i’m sorry i let my stress get the better of me. It wasn’t my intention to get mad at you, wonnie.” 

without hesitation, jungwon pulled you into a hug, stroking your back just like how you would when comforting him. “i’m sorry for annoying you too. i was getting antsy.” his larger frame held you and he basked in your presence, a smile erupting on his face. 

“are we good? i’m sincerely sorry again.” you pulled away, hands patting the crown of his head. jungwon purred, finally content because you were with him. disregarding your apology, he cuddled you close.

“mmm, just hold me now. everything else can wait.”

the very first thing changbin did as soon as he made it to the bus stop was to do a double take at you. 

his heart was racing because one, you were absolutely adorable for thinking of him first and two, why did you look so good even whilst being tipsy till no end? 

“c-changbin? why are you here?” you pouted, eyes hazy. he gazed at your slumped form. 

“binnie?” you called out, a soft hiccup leaving you. 

changbin snapped out of his reverie, hands landing on your waist to hold you steady. 

“dummy. you texted me to come get you. so I’m here.” 

“uh…i did?” you (cutely) frowned, trying to recall. you swayed from left to right and changbin’s grip on you tightened. 

“yeah, you silly. you really did.” pulling you closer to him, his eyes swept across your entire body. 

other than the pinkish hue from the amount of drinks you had that night, you seemed unharmed. 

unharmed and unfocused, it seems. 

you burst out giggling, before shushing yourself, “okay…well!! i don’t remember texting you but i don’t care since you’re here. mmm, my lovely changbin.” 

“you’re wasted. let’s get you home.” 

changbin rolled his eyes, a smirk forming nevertheless at your brazen declaration. you held up your hands to assure him, eyes closed while doing so, “i’m not too drunk. my friends and i only had a few rounds.” 

“yeah, a few rounds is one too many rounds for my lightweight lover.” changbin made a “tsk” sound, instructing you, “i’ll piggy-back you home.” 

he knelt down right in front of you and without hesitation you clambered on, “hehe, my changbin! i love you!”

changbin felt his entire face warm from your confession despite the light breeze caressing his face. hefting you up slightly higher up on his back, he securely hooked his arms around the bottom of your thighs. you nuzzled your face into the juncture of his neck, sighing, “i love you.” 

“ah, what to do with you? you’re simply too cute.”

“uh huh?” doyoung raised an eyebrow at your inquisitive tone, but made no actual move to look up at you. you were sat across him on the couch, the two of you relaxing in comfortable silence. 

“what if…i became a worm?” 

“then i’d become a worm too, and we can live a worm-y life together. We could roll in the grass and bask in the sunlight, together.” he took your silence as satisfaction, and proceeded to lean against the backrest. “that’s a funny question you got there. this isn’t some sort of test right?”

“no! it’s just a random question. then…what if we broke up?” 

doyoung gently put his phone down on his lap, gazing at you with those eyes you’ve come to love, “that’s not happening. i love you so much that breaking up with you is out of the question. but if that is your wish, then i will appreciate the times we had together, and wish you all the best.” 

doyoung frowned, not enjoying the idea of being apart from you, “don’t think of breaking up with me though. i’m gonna be so mad. come here you dummy, i’m not letting you go.” 

wordlessly you crawled into his embrace, lying down so that your back was on his front and you were sitting in the space created by his legs. 

“doie, do you love me?” 

“of course i do.” he answered readily, “you were the unexpected love that i never thought i’d encounter. now that i have you, you’re all that i ever wanted and i wouldn’t trade this relationship for anything else in the world.” 

“but what if—” 

“where are all these questions coming from, hmm?” doyoung lightly chided you, hands coming around your waist to hold you. 

you felt your face heat up and you quickly hid your burning cheeks behind your hands, “sorry. that was just my anxiousness speaking.” 

as he peppered kisses on the exposed part of your neck, he promised, “erase your doubts. i’m here with you now. your intrusive thoughts have no hold on you. you’re with me now, alright?”

he finds it difficult to express “i love you” outrightly, yet still surprises you with the other ways he shows love (to me he feels more of a words of affirmation kinda guy) 

he made it crystal clear, that no matter what time you’re out till, he wants you to ping him, especially if he isn’t able to send you all the way to your doorstep

call it gentlemanly, but there’s something about him sending you off at your doorstep that just makes you yearn for him more

definitely there are times where his words knows no bounds, such as “i love you with every breath i take”, “i love you with every single waking thought i have of you”, “i love you to the moon and back” that just makes you (and me) a sappy little mess

this beautiful beautiful man has a pretty pretty smile and i’d think this is an equivalent of “i love you” 

for all the instances (whether through text, over a call or together) that he just beams at you knowingly, yeah those are truly the times where he falls in love with you a little bit more

he cherishes you so much that he can’t help but grin at how lovely you are // can you imagine he’s over a call then he just pauses mid sentence to tell you how much he is smiling because he loves you ? GAHHH

seems like the material gifting kinda guy, and his little gifts range from food to clothing to anything you set your eyes on 

he likes the way you light up when you receive a surprise from him,, because he knows you aren’t the type to actively ask for gifts he revels in the fact that you try to reject it but end up cherishing his gift 

most commonly he’d get food to cheer you up/ give you strength, sometimes it can be plushies just because they remind him of you

having been in his mind all day? hot

(maybe it’s just me but) when he texts you/ tells you, it’s heartwarming to know that someone is thinking of you and most definitely missing you at that point and to have said it (and he says it with such soulful eyes you’d think this little puppy has separation anxiety) 

most definitely thinks about you a lot, whether you’re eating well, if you’re warm, if you’re having a good day and more ! so wholesome

this would most likely be over text that he types it out, as a means to end the conversation when in reality he just wants to talk to you forever and ever 

but say, if you were together with him, he’d wrap you in a tight hug and not let you go (don’t let him go too, because there’s only one of him in this world)

so hearing this signature ending from him also signifies that he’s gonna be gone for a while, but not for long because he wants to spend time with you

Sunwoo tucked his basketball under his arm and swung his bag over his shoulder, “You know, as seniors we ought to be more cohesive with our juniors. Should we plan a bonding day? Or maybe we can stay back after training? You know as leaders of our club we can be more friendly…”

Eric rolled his eyes, pushing in his chair whilst waiting for Sunwoo to hurry up. “Speaking of training, it is literally about to start. So if you’d stop yapping we’d be on our way--”

“Hold on isn’t that…” Sunwoo interrupted Eric’s lecture, brushing past him towards the classroom doors. “Kim Sunwoo I wasn’t done talking?!” Eric huffed and followed behind but Sunwoo paid no attention, for his focus was on you. 

Why were you outside his classroom? 

“Sunwoo.” You greeted him halfheartedly, arms locked in front of you. Sunwoo eyed you, playfully teasing “What are you doing here, squirt?” Eric stood nearby, sighing a little too loudly to signify his presence. Right, training was about to start. 

You visibly stiffened at Eric’s exhale, “Are you headed home? I kinda need a ride.” Sunwoo tipped his head towards the basketball under his arms, “No can do. I’ve got basketball practice. And it’s gonna be quite a while.” Sunwoo didn’t miss the dejected look that flashed across your face as you tilted your head down. 

You shifted your weight from one foot to the other, as if you wanted to say something more. Eric cleared his throat again and you quickly shook your head, “It’s okay then. Have a good practice you two.” As soon as you made that declaration, Eric took this opportunity to drag Sunwoo away. 

Uneasiness settled in Sunwoo’s heart and he craned his neck to glance at you through the throng of students. 

Why did you have to make him worried? 

“I’m not going.” “Going where? Training?” Eric joked, but stopped when Sunwoo ceased walking. “Sunwoo, you…don’t tell me…” 

“Captain Eric, I’m pretty sure you can handle one training without your Vice-Captain, right?” Sunwoo was already backtracking, and Eric exasperatedly threw out his hands, “Really? Really?! You do know our juniors are the noisiest bunch of children?” 

Sunwoo waved as a reassurance, sprinting away, whilst hollering, “Just get someone leader-material, uhmm, Han Jisung! The logistics leader! I’ll make it up for the next practice!” He didn’t have the time to watch Eric’s mild breakdown.

Scrambling down steps 2 at a time, he ran with all his might to the bicycle bay. Hopping onto his bike, he easily whizzed through the crowd, spotting you from afar. A pang of relief surged through his body, for you were still fine (although you were slowly dragging your feet to the school gate). 

“Yo squirt!” You flicked your head around, watching, surprised that Sunwoo was pedaling at full force. “Sunwoo?” He dismounted the bike, beads of sweat dotting his forehead, “Hop on.” 

“Don’t you have practice? (Why are you here?)” You bit back your curiosity and Sunwoo patted the empty passenger spot behind his seat. “Nevermind that. You on the other hand look like you’re about to drop unconscious. Care to explain?”

“Just a headache. A bad headache” You added on when Sunwoo raised his eyebrow (it was as if he saw through your attempt to be alright) at your initial statement. “Yeah, that just proves my point about you looking sickly. Get on, squirt. I’m taking you all the way home.” 

Sunwoo saw through your momentary hesitance and pulled you towards the seat, “Really. I mean it. You came to me, didn’t you?” The thought of you getting home faster and skipping the crowded public transport (which will aggravate your headache) won you over. Just like that, you two were on your way home. 

“Sunwoo, did you really skip practice?” “Uh no? I wasn’t needed today. Today Coach wants to focus on the juniors.” He lied through his teeth, a line rehearsed and repeated on his way down. “Okay. Not because of me right?” Worry laced your words. Sunwoo almost cooed at how adorable you were in that moment. . 

“You silly. Why would I skip practice?” He teased you (you smacked him real hard on the back), but his heart softened and added on, “You on the other hand have a knack for making me worried.” That seemed to perk you up and you held onto his waist tighter. 

“Thank you Sunwoo.” “Anyday.“
