I Literally Didn't Know I Needed This Until Right Now.
I literally didn't know I needed this until right now.
i wish every woman could experience being in a true female only space at least once. a space away from men in a secluded area. cooking, eating, dancing, creating, swimming, existing only among women. no need for make up, clothing that’s not comfortable and practical, no bras, no shaving, no artificial femininity. if you wanna walk around naked you can be, no one’s gonna stare at you, no fear of a man sitting in the bush filming or masturbating. no body shaming or pointing out any part of your body. no pressure to look perfect. no need to look perfect. just existing and being enough, living without fear and in harmony with our bodies and nature.

Smegtober Day 2: Quarantine
(prompts by @strange-and-off-putting)
word count: 355
A/N: This one is a little bit more light-hearted than yesterday's. Please note that this is set pre-series.
Holly hums a song. He can’t remember the lyrics, or who wrote it. He’s not even sure he remembers the tune correctly anymore, if he's being honest.
He performs his usual checks. Ship’s hold: secure. Engines: working smoothly. Background radiation level: yup, still lethal.
Holly plots a course to avoid crashing into a planetoid. It is several thousand years away still, but Holly reckons he might as well get it done and out of the way now. No use in hanging about.
He checks on Dave. Absolutely no change. Good.
It has been two million, six hundred and twenty six thousand, nine hundred and ninety-three years, eleven months, and fourteen days since the crew of Red Dwarf died.
Holly has spent most of that time diligently taking care of the ship, as well as its sole surviving crew member. The rest of his time has been dedicated to fighting an ever losing battle against boredom. Sure, he had the infinite wonders of the cosmos before him, but after the first couple of millennia the novelty really began to wear off.
One way Holly attempts to fight the monotony is by reading. He plans to read every book ever written anywhere, by anyone, ever. Problem is, he’s run out of good books to read, and is putting off reading some of the less savoury ones by rereading the slightly more savoury ones. Holly doesn’t mind. He’s starting to forget what happened in some of the earlier ones he read, anyway.
If Holly wasn’t a computer, he reckons he’d probably feel very lonely. All he has to keep him company on board are the various piles of ashes representing the deceased crew, which reminds him: the skutters will need to be brought back online to clean them up before he lets Dave out, but he can do that later. He’ll remember. Probably.
Satisfied that everything is in order, Holly settles down to reread the complete works of Jim Patters for the seventh time. Sure, they’re not particularly good books, but there are so many of them that it passes the time.
And Holly’s got nothing but time.
Look guys, in case I need to explain it ...
This is my husband

This is my puppy

And this is my obsession I keep locked in my basement

"I loved that twist, did NOT see that coming."
Honestly, neither did I.
Sharing again so I can pin it.
