I Just Remembered Everybody Being Dissapointed With Best Jeanist Being Alive Because It Ment That Hawks

I just remembered everybody being dissapointed with Best Jeanist being alive because it ment that Hawks didn’t sacrifice him and that made Hawks ark more boring.

Besides the fact that he just murdered Twice by literally backstabbing him, after claiming he wanted to help him and we can clearly see Hawks beeing deeply flawed if helping to him means: the way he wants to help and only the way he wants to help.

But also later when we see Hawks and Jeanist interact we see that Hawks wants to be like Twice, he wants to be such a good person like Twice was, which is deeply disturbing. He just killed the man he himself sais he aspires to be like.

Because he didn’t want to capture him, because Twice didn’t want Hawks screwed up version of help.

And Beast Jeanist is part of this whole scam to get behind the PLF and the Commisson would not have gained anything if Hawks actually killed him. The commisson might sacrifice people, but their current no 3 top hero? He’s too valuable for that and he was currently not in his best state anyways, so the solution to use him for the scam is actually very logical and it gives us a lot about his character.

Jeanist is willing to spend months in a coma for the commission, showing how deep he is in the system and how deeply flawed the lone fact that the commission and Hawks came up with this is. But he doesn’t even realize this.

You can see this on one side as a heroic act, of giving so much to make sure a dangerous organization is being monitored and lastly defeated but on the other end it is complelty horrifying that the no 2 pro hero suggests that someone should go through dangerous medical treatments to do this.

And Jeanist doesn’t even seem to see it that way because he is just too caught up in the system to come up with the fact that no one should ever ask you for something like this.

Just like they should not let a bunch of teenagers fighting a group of terrorists, which by the hero commission the PLF are. Just like Endevour should not get away for abusing his family. Just like Hawks should be accountable for Twice murder.

I think of all the big 3 Jeanist is the best example of someone who so far hasn’t actually commited any crime (I am not counting the suffocation right now, because he could have let loose, we just don’t know if he would have) and got away with it, but he still defends and supports those who do. He is so deep in the system he doesn’t even realize that he is part of the problem and he is a great example of:

“You are not outside the problem. You are not objective.“

“If you’re part of the system, you’re part of the problem.“

I started with the show, loved Dabi and the fandom version of him, started reading the manga and bam! Spinner was my favourite character and I noticed that Dabi really isn’t the way a huge part of the fandom portrays him to be.

tbh Spinner is everything that fandom wanted Dabi (and Shiga/Dabi) to be, like??

de facto second-in-command of the League

Very loyal to Shigaraki Tomura, will follow him to the ends of the earth and beyond

has empathy cares a lot for his leader, and the League as well

related strongly with Shigaraki when Shigaraki revealed his backstory

connected with Shigaraki over the shared emptiness in their hearts

gave Toga a "big-brother-esque" talk that revealed his concern over her while also encouraging her

implied strongly to have hung out with Shigaraki as friends

but Spinner (and the fact that he exists) just isn't acknowledged as such. RIP

So i thought about this, because I usually only draw very stylized stick figures these days, because I draw them for making dress sketches, but then I thought maybe I should try this in a different body size and see how hard it is. I only draw on paper, so my sketch is a mess, but it wasn’t hard at all to get the basic concept of a different body type. Getting a result like @mayakern obviously takes years of practice, but the base of: try out different body type was super easy and fun.

And if I ever make a dress for someone with a different body type it’s gonna be super helpful.

And this was about 1 minute per sketch on computer, which I never draw on. So professional artists who only use one body type she is absolulty right: you need more practice.

So I Thought About This, Because I Usually Only Draw Very Stylized Stick Figures These Days, Because

Thing is: he didn’t. He did not once use his vibranium arm as anything but defense against the spear. I have rewatched the scene a few times now and not one moment in this scene did Bucky attack with the arm.

During the first fight scene he uses it the first time to stop Ayo from spearing Walker. He simply uses it to grab the spear before it kills/injures Walker and then to hold the spear in place, when he tells her to stop and talk about this, while he is completly calm.

And he uses his flesh hand to grab her other hand, to stop her from attacking (and he does not use any super strenght).

In the second fight scene between them he uses his vibranium arm to block her vibranium spear attacks. He uses hid other hand to try to grab her and to push the spear she points at him away.

And then she disables his arm.

Bucky did not once use the arm against her, attacked her in any matter that could have hurt her and made it very clear that he wanted to talk about this. Walker was already stopped, if Ayo (who escalated the fight with Walker in the first place) would have put her spear down Bucky would have stopped too, but she did go further to literally disarm him with no objective reason. One can argue that she thought he could have used the arm as a weapon against her, but he never actually did in the scene. None of that excuses the violent ableism takes on this of course.

Losing my mind at the “Ayo taking Bucky’s arm” discourse because holy SHIT you guys are so bad at this. Like. Instead of just acknowledging the fact that Bucky Barnes is a fictional character with a prosthetic arm that doubles as a WEAPON. And that what Ayo did was within reason because they gave this weapon to Bucky as a gift and he used it on THEM. You guys went and chose violent ableism

I think a big part of this is also the fact that Zemo isn’t a villain to the world, he is specifically a villain to the avengers, supersoldiert and pretty much any sign of people seeing themselves as superior and acting on it.

If we’d encounter someone like Zemo in the real world he wouldn’t be a threat to us.

Meet Thanos, he might kill you, he might kill half the population of your planet, snap your parents, your dog and your best friend. Meet Mysterio who’d sacrifice you for his goals if you are unlucky to be in the wrong place. Ultron wanted to destory mankind, Ego wanted to take over planets, Hela Asgard both with gigantic casulaties.

Zemo? Zemo wanted the Avengers gone and killed a King for it.

Specfically the last part is very understanding, considering how many people we see cheering on the death of any other member of the 1% recently.

zemo in the latest ep was so good. like. the quiet '>:3' energy he has is really funny (the part where walker locked him up screamed 'kinky :) but alright :) i'll allow it :)') , and the way he just??? lay there??? with an ice pack??? after getting knocked tf out is so hilarious and melodramatic to me.

also ik that some ppl took the 'baa baa black sheep' scene to be kind of creepy and they're not wrong per se, but zemo was a father! his main motivation for destroying the avengers was his family! man's just rustee with children. also 'my associate' being a fucking eight year old is fucking hilarious. zemo is absolutely the type of person to sit one of those tiny plastic chairs at a child's tea party and take it very seriously, absolutely throwing in some gossip from the toys to make the kid laugh. 'yes ms bear, your tea is quite delicious. but how could mr crocodile say that about your cookies? it's not like he's any better than you at baking, not after that incident with his wife.'

also,,, we haven't seen that memorial scene from the trailer yet,,,, Owie,,,,,,

YES YES YES EXACTLY

also can i just say that i love ALL of the little details shown with zemo here… like not only the visual ones (him w a cookie around his finger, necklace, etc) but also his behavioural details ?? like for one i’m in LOVE with his head tilt and how, when sam calls him out on it, he has this realization moment that he even has a tic like that in the first place and that he uses it when he’s trying to manipulate/taunt … and he immediately stops with the head tilt. did u also notice how zemo’s tapping his fingers in one of the scenes where he’s handcuffed? it’s nothing big but i find it kinda cute 😭

i also really like how, even though his emotions and expressions are very hard to put into context and even figure out – you can practically SEE him thinking. thinking and studying and understanding and analyzing situations and other people. and in one of the scenes where zemo is talking to the little girl, he gets this blank look in his eyes. as i said before, it’s hard to really understand his little behaviours and expressions, but to me it looks like he’s getting kind of “out of it” and maybe remembering his son.

anyway … i love zemo so much and that memorial scene is gonna kill me

Also AFO is currently not using his own body to steal OFA back, he’s using Tomuras body that was enhances by Ojiko to specifically hold more quriks, so letting AFO take the qurik might result in Tomura dying and Deku losing the quirk, while AFO being still alive and fine at best and Deku losing the qurik and Tomura staying alive and being able to use it with AFO taking the wheel at worst.

And Muscular is not a joke as a fighter, he killed experiences pro heros before, Deku himself thought he was going to die in that fight and he as mentioned wrecked his arm to stand a chance and I doubt that he’d do whatever AFO wanted him to, instead of fight the guy. And no matter what AFO said, most villains tend to have their own agenda and if AFO lets them go, they probably just went back to going what they wanted do/did before they got arrested anyways. Just because he broke them out doesn’t mean they’ll take any commands from him and he’s not the kind of guy to do teamwork as we’ve already established.

You know it’s things like this why I say I can’t take AFO seriously as an endgame threat. Not only did he lose one army, he then gained another (much smaller but debatably more dangerous) army, only to then apparently tell them to screw off and do crime stuff.

Like, you bald fool, you are fighting against a country and you have maybe 3 or 4 men and some Nomu. You had more men & Nomu at the end of the Jaku battle, wherein you ran away from around 12 heroes. Why do you keep throwing away your resources? Do you even have an endgame plan, and if so, what could that plan possibly be that would be better than either the PLF or the prison escapees?
