😭😭😭 it was so amazing!!!!! I'll just say, Jake's reaction didn't disappoint it had me laughing so hard I cried.

So, I’ve finished another RoosMav long fic and I’m just really proud of this one. It was a difficult story to write and tell properly and I think I managed it, and I just thought I’d put it here, in case anyone else is interested in reading it 🥺

Summary:

Mav never pulled Bradley's papers, though they ended up estranged anyway.

And now they're back together for a mission that might be the last thing they ever do.

Oh, and they're still married.

Not that anyone on the mission knows that.

It'll be a piece of cake, right? ....right?

There's so many other friends I can add in there right now, but I'm just going to appreciate the fact that buck has been confirmed.

I'm on my break at work right now, and this scene is all I have been thinking about all fricken day!!!

This scene has been living rent free in my mind all day and I have so many fucking thoughts. I will eventually write them down.

However, my main take away is how this scene did so fucking much to establish how fucking gone Tommy is for Buck.

This man has been fighting fires since at least the night before (timeline is a bit wonky on how long afterwards this happened, but it's at least almost 24 hours). He hasn't slept since he left the bachelor party. He's exhausted, still in gear and covered in soot.

And instead of going back to the firehouse this man comes straight to the hospital to try to make a last-minute hospital bed wedding just because Buck wants him there.

He is down bad.

(And let's be real, Buck is just as gone for him)

I need to talk about a fic right now, it's by @fuddlewuddle so you know damn well it's gonna be an AMAZING FIC!!! It's like a whole new level of awesomeness!!!! Maverick and Rooster fall in love and get married, Mav never pulled his papers, but then something happens and roo roo ain't having it, they're separated for YEARS!!! He tells Mav NEVER talk to me again, and my baby boi he's sad his husband is angry with him and Mav is like "only update him when I die, he wants nothing to do with me" and I low key started bawling 😭😭😭. When they finally reunite for a uranium mission I was so excited to see pissed roo roo I won't lie 🙈🙈 I was so invested in the story, that when I finished the first chapter I was like "what it's over" not seeing the next chapter but then I saw it and I was so happy, I want to give Jake a piece of my mind and shake him up 😡, AND I wanna shake up Roo Roo!!!! I can't wait to see him find out about Mav and Roo Roo (please write that, I can't tell you how much I need it), This fic has taken a special place in my heart. It's not even finished yet, but it's already one of my top 10 fics! You HAVE to read it!!!!! ! I want my happy ending or I'ma throw fists🥺👊!!Anyway if you made it to the end of this and wanna read it it's called

So the phrase "are you a friend of Dorothy?" (You know the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy Gay Icon), is a phase used in the 80's as a question you ask someone to see if they are lgbtq. Think of it as a simpler handkerchief code. Essentially a bunch of Navy men used it right, I totally need to see this in a top gun fic, if it's between two main characters or side characters or in the background i need to see this. And you know if the daggers hear this, and they are so confused cause you know gay 80's Bradley was probably one of the only one alive, and you know he's got uncles and parents who were 80's gay.
