Reasons why catcalling and sexual harrasment are BAD THINGS (a legitament post for those who dont understand)

Catcalling is sexual harrasment

Its disgusting

- because sex and sexual attraction is two sided. A person doesnt just agree to sex because another person wants them to. Even if a person might be attracted to you, making a catcall or trying to touch someone without asking in some way, shape, or form, takes there choice away. By treating a person like something you want to fuck, it dehumanizes.

-the reason why catcalling is treated like a potential step towards rape is because it disregardes consent. If you wish to let a person know they are hot, or beautiful, then do it in a way that there is no other way to take it; tell them with your own words. If they turn you down regardless, then thats it- just like you dont want to fuck every person you meet, neither do they, and sometimes it has more to do with an interest in a different kind of relationship.

Assuming isnt hot. Even if the person likes you, to assume they want the same thing you do; in this case, pointless sex, is unfair, rude, and uninteresting.

Even if youre catcall or harrasment was meant for different reasons, you cant expect people to suddenly know what you’re thinking. Women arent mind readers. Catcalls have, for a long time, if not forever, been considered a harrasment and of malintent. At one time, the swatstika was a symbols of religion, meant to mean peace. But thats not what it is anymore, because of the conontation it has recieved by hitler. Catcalling is bad, and you cannot change that because of the negitive conontation that goes with it. There is not a situation where catcalling is okay.

That person does not know you well. They dont know youre intentions. And in a world where serial killers/rapists exist, people have to be aware and careful of who is around them (more often than not, women, because of the likelyhood of rape)

For the sake of arguement, imagine a woman walking down the street behind you. She is not your type, not someone you are interested in. She whistles at you, and calls you “hot stuff”. You ignore her, and She grabs your arm, and when you tell her to fuck off, she says “i only wanted to tell you youre looking good, i dont mean to scare you” she does this in a flirting manner. You start to walk away, but then she starts shouting things, like “im sorry i didnt realize you were a fag” or “my bad sweetie i only wanted you to see a good time” or, even worse, “i see youre playing hard to get”. You are not attracted to this woman. You have no interest in this, but for the sake of arguement, lets say she is particularly stronger than you. By saying “i see youre playing hard to get” she has essentially told you that she doesnt care what you want. She has also told you that she will not stop trying. And if she does, she will go back tonthose first to phrases: phrases meant to demean and belittle your self confidence. Things that will piss you off. You are not a game to be played, no ones wants to have someone obsesively go after them when they clearly arent interested.

This situation is entirely possible. Gender doesnt matter, anyone can be raped. Any one can be sexually harrassed. Anyone can. Anyone. Dont make people scared because you dont want to use your words.

Also dont pick girls up off the street at random thats hella seriel killer i mean one you look like a seriel killer and two what if she’s a seriel killer? Shit is unsafe for everyone.
