It/its/ze/hir/they/them/cor/corpse/haunt/haunts/hallow/hallows/rot/rots/hell/hells (any pronouns are fine, however. ask which nounself sets are okay, I tend to lean away from sets like bun/buns). Adult. Not a safe space for TERFs, the labrys flag is not your hate symbol by the way. I use this blog for whatever I want, mostly screaming into the void and uplifting obscure queer identities. Warframe and Sonic content likely. Scary transandrophobia truther. More in pinned. Queer Affirmations

Queer Affirmations

[Pt: Queer affirmations end pt]

There is no such thing as ‘having too many’ labels. Your identity is your own, so have fun with it!

Queer experiences are highly diverse; no two queer people are exactly the same.

Wear what makes you happy!

Use whatever pronouns you feel comfortable with.

Label your attraction however you see fit.

Go by as many names as you want.

Being trans doesn't have to be defined by suffering.

Being queer is not something to be ashamed of!

Your identity doesn't have to make sense to other people for it to be valid.

You aren't ‘invading spaces’ by being yourself.

Love isn't what makes you human. Having sex isn't what makes you human.

Your body isn't an ‘error’ of nature.

Being a ‘cringy’ queer person is rad!

You don't have to change your presentation or body to be a valid trans person. You don't owe anyone androgyny.

This is your friendly reminder that endogenic systems are real, great, and loved! I see you, I believe you, and I know you do me (and other traumagenic and disordered systems) no harm by just existing as yourself! Don’t listen to the haters who say otherwise; they don’t know what they’re talking about. You’re awesome, keep on being you!!

BTW you will be immensely happier if, when seeing someone who uses labels that you don't understand, find contradictory or otherwise disagree with, you switch your reaction from "I obviously know better than this person, they are wrong and stupid and I need to tell them how wrong and stupid they are and make fun of them" to "Human experience is inherently a deeply complex thing, especially for marginalized people, this person is obviously trying to communicate something equally complex, and even though I don't quite understand it, they know themselves better than I ever will".

How selfish and entitled you must be to believe that other people are obligated to force themselves into uncomfortable labels and lifestyles just to appease you and your limited understanding. They are not stupid. They are not "invalidating themselves". They are not wrong. They know themselves better than you ever will, and thus you inherently lose any argument about their identity 100% of the time. And to you, this is just a debate you can have and forget about later. To them, this is a major part of their life. This is their everyday. Their human experience. And you want to invalidate that because it doesn't fit your standards? Especially someone from your own community?

Labels exist to be communication tools, not prisons. Not rigid sets of rules. You have no right to force others through suffering and discomfort because you've deemed your own ignorance more important than their life.

This is especially disappointing coming from queer people. You know better. You know what it feels like to be treated that way. How can you be okay with imitating your oppressors at the expense of your own community?

"this pride flag is problematic bc it was stolen from this other pride flag so if u use this flag it actually means u hate lesbians and-"

come here. closer. i am beckoning u closer and lowering u gently onto a comfortable couch and looking u sincerely in the eyes.

who fucking cares.

most, if not all, pride flags were based on the original pride flag, created by gilbert baker at the request of harvey milk, a jewish man who was the first openly gay politician in california. if your flag has stripes and colors, it was based on that first original rainbow flag. they are symbols meant to celebrate who we are and make us visible to the public. who fucking cares if one striped flag looks kinda similar to another striped flag? genuinely why is this something we're devoting even a second of our valuable time to? "we can care abt multiple things at once!" not if one of them is fucking stupid and a waste of time, and is actively driving rifts in the community that's currently in the national spotlight in many countries! shut the fuck up! why am i seeing ppl w "support xenogenders and neopronouns! fuck te/rfs and truscum!" in their bios go on multi-post tirades abt fucking flags!

anyway the next time you find yourself getting sucked into flag discourse in the year of our lord 5783, consider instead donating to the gilbert baker foundation and thanking your elders for paving the way for us to even have so many flags to fight about.

Hi, an “endogenic” refresher course, right here!

1. We introduced the term “endogenic” into the community August 2014, along with some other terms! It was in response to exclusionists (wrongly) complaining about “systems without DID” using “their words”. It was an attempt at creating nonmedicalized terms that any plural system could use.

2. It was also a way to do away with terms that had fallen into disfavor— specifically “natural systems”, a term that had been in use possibly as early as 1994. It was disliked because people felt it implied that trauma-caused systems were unnatural. “Endogenic” fixed that.

3. The word “endogenic” was lovingly created to help systems put their experience into words. All it means is “a system not formed by trauma”; it doesn’t imply any other cause, set of beliefs, or experiences. It doesn’t imply the system is nondisordered or doesn’t have trauma. It doesn’t mean any other system’s origins in trauma or dx status is “invalid” or whatever.

4. Though the terms were eventually posted to tumblr, the idea didn’t start there. Tumblr was created in 2007; the concept of systems not caused by trauma has, again, been online since the 90s. Nor was the term created by singlets! We’re a trauma-caused system with DID.

5. “Endogenic” wasn’t created as an insult or to exclude anyone. We have loved ones who are endogenic. Many of the terms in use now were created by endogenics. They have helped preserve plural history, and defended the community. They are good people, and real systems. The hate they get is completely senseless.

Thanks for coming to our talk. Please stop insulting endogenic systems, and educate yourselves instead, thanks. (Unless it’s just pure malice at this point in which case, fuck off I guess.)

https://endogenichub.weebly.com/ is a decent site to learn more.
