Am I gonna talk about my aroace-ness again? Yes, yes I will
I fucking love being aroace. I may be a teen and others may be falling in love and doing the big sex (I find sex funny cause I donât get it, but good for them). I am perfectly content with all my friends and I love them to the earth, the moon, the stars, the vast universe, and all the way back again. I love to hear their stories and their perceptions. I could gush over all my friends all day. Iâm glad that I donât have to deal with as much drama due to lack of interest and attraction. Also good for other aros who feel little attraction and good for aros who still want relationships, yaâll do be swell. That about wraps it up :)

I only realized this a few hours after watching the movie (Captain Marvel) but just this once there was no love interest for the main character in a superhero movie, which left more space to emphasize the platonic and family relationships and honestly? it's balm for my soul. kid-me would've needed that. pass it on Carol Danvers is a GODDESS for defeating amatonormativity in one movie and hopefully ending Thanos in the next one.
Love to see aromantic trending so fun fact about me is that I am very proudly aro/ace and have been out as such for almost 7 years.
Anyway, I love being LGBTQ+!
Even though I am Demisexual, I love this comic. I really do hope that Queer Platonic relationships become more common or even platonic relationships in general!!
It would be so cool to see people be committed to each other but not in a romantic or sexual way; theyâre just happy enough with each otherâs company that a romantic/sexual relationship is not necessary!

Hey Ace-spec and Aro-spec folks?
You all are wonderful and real and you are never required to participate in discourse about your identity.
If you donât think ace/aro people are inherently queer, youâre not betraying your community.
If you do think ace/aro people are inherently queer, you arenât required to argue about it.
I implore you all to try to look at all perspectives and keep an open mind but you are wonderful and brave and I love you.

I know people typically think that shows need more lgbtq+ representation, but fandom need more heterosexual/romantic and aro/ace representation. Not everything has to be gay or romantic to be good. That's why found family is so popular. It cares more about the characters and their bonds rather than when they're gonna kiss.
That being said, I don't think that romance as a whole should be obliterated. Just that it shouldn't have to be prominent to make a good story. One of my favourite stories only goes to the point of being queerplatonic, which is the best thing ever, by the way. (I'm talking about PitViperOfDoom's Yesterday Under The Stair BNHA FF).
I'm saying this as an aromantic pansexual, by the way. So please don't accuse me of being homophobic for speaking my mind. I'm just tired of clicking on a character or fandom tag on AO3 and being bombarded with a load of gay. That isn't a problem in and of itself. It's when I filter out ships and there is hardly any content, because people are COWARDS.
Ship whoever you want to ship, just also think about the platonic potential. Romance in stories is fine, but don't make it the only reason your story is going. Don't make normal interactions romantic or sexual if they don't need to be. It makes me very sad and uncomfortable seeing how many people look at things like arguing and think that they're meant to be, or look at a canonical straight ship and go, ew, because it's straight.

There is no such thing as âhaving too manyâ labels. Your identity is your own, so have fun with it!
Queer experiences are highly diverse; no two queer people are exactly the same.
Wear what makes you happy!
Use whatever pronouns you feel comfortable with.
Label your attraction however you see fit.
Go by as many names as you want.
Being trans doesn't have to be defined by suffering.
Being queer is not something to be ashamed of!
Your identity doesn't have to make sense to other people for it to be valid.
You aren't âinvading spacesâ by being yourself.
Love isn't what makes you human. Having sex isn't what makes you human.
Your body isn't an âerrorâ of nature.
Being a âcringyâ queer person is rad!
You don't have to change your presentation or body to be a valid trans person. You don't owe anyone androgyny.
This post is to remind every aroace being that they are cool and fine just the way you are. You are not less of a being for being romance and/or sex repulsed (if applicable), and you're not less aroace for being romance and/or sex favorable (if applicable). You deserve a space in this life, in queer communities, and aroace communities regardless of the amount of attraction you feel, if you're favorable, repulsed or something else, or if you seek/don't seek relationships with anybody.
