I'm well aware of the original usage of the word 'woke', seeing as I'm black myself. However, I'm also well aware of how language evolves and how that word has been used towards progressives in general. This has led to my interpretation of the word being changed to "Oh, it means progressive for minorities in general."

Also my original post wasn't really using the word as an insult, rather it was used — again — as another word for progressive. Hope this helped! I'll change the word because it's just a simple edit on my part, so my post doesn't get derailed again.

I, myself, am intersex. I do not *care* if Sally sees her womanhood through a trans lens while being perisex AFAB. I am an avid believer that enforcing the notion that such labels are 'exclusive' to intersex people is harmful. 'Oh but shi/hir has been used against us!!!' That is not the fault of Billy, who just vibes with the pronoun set.

The sooner we as a community can realize that these 'woke' boxes aren't much better than the ones made by our oppressors, the better.
