There was a specific reason you liked to hunt in these woods. The moss and woodruff covered earth made your steps nearly undetectable to anything in the area. In the warmer seasons, sometimes you could go whole weeks with a catch a day. In the spring especially because everything–from the doe in the hilltop fields to the rabbits in the grassy clearings–was preparing to mate and multiply. They were too busy trying to attract the right female or build the perfect nest to notice a lone wolf following close behind.

The street and soil are all wet from the remnants of rain that has been falling for the last few days. The night air is coated with white thick fog, nearly clouding Jimin’s sight as he quietly walks down the empty road.

It is so late in the evening that not a single person appears to be wandering out along the town’s streets and the road leading to the forest. Even as he continues to walk past the rows of houses down the residential passages or the shops at the center of the town, he only finds the streets clear, the front doors and main gates are all tightly locked, all the lights from inside have been put out and their curtains are drawn close. Streetlights are dim, not even stronger than the moonlight and probably not enough to illuminate Jimin’s figure as he continues to walk so gracefully down the road. Yet as he is about less than a mile away from the town’s border, he still tugs his collar upward, covering his neck up until nearly half his face is hidden from view. The only thing he keeps uncovered are his ruby coloured eyes to allow him to look ahead on his way and at his surroundings, despite keeping his gaze low as he follows the route down the rocky road.
