Can only imagine what must have been going through Kristoph's mind at the moment he watched his apprentice produce a piece of evidence that decidedly should not have existed and present it in court.

Phoenix really made Kristoph watch Apollo present forged evidence in court and that's so fucked up and poetic of him.

Apollo's exact line on presenting that ace is "My reason is... uh... This!" Which implies that he's very unsure of what he's about to do or where it will lead. But Kristoph knows, and Phoenix knows too. Which is why the very act of Apollo presenting that ace was Phoenix's subtle message to Kristoph - "I know what you did seven years ago, and you're going to watch your own student make the same mistake and nail your coffin shut with it at the same time." And poor, poor Apollo is none the wiser that he is simply the conduit of this message.

Phoenix was a theater kid, and he can be quite cruel when he wants to be.

programming/general update hey, everyone!! i don't think actually showing you the code itself would actually be all that interesting 😭 so i'll just give you a quick rundown! i've finished programming all the dialogue for the intro scene into the game, and also customized the gui! we're going for a warmer colour scheme, and i think it turned out real cute :D an image gallery and the classic ace attorney text beeps have also been added! we also TECHNICALLY have one route completely programmed! @veysa-loser made this incredible art for the ending, and i decided immediately that it was shitpost material. what is the route?? you'll have to play and see, silly got the .midi file for a cruel angel's thesis from bitmidi! used a combination of the aai1 and aa:pw soundfonts, shared by iteachvader and sunfunblue on musical artifacts! i put both into musescore and reassigned the instruments to parts myself. ALSO you can use the tag #tp1 if you want to create fan stuff for us in the future

YIPPEE!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! i have a drawing ive been working on for weeks, its not really a new year celebration sorta type drawing but i pushed myself to finish it before new years, so you guys can have it. also the drawing, oddly enough, started off as a little shitpost, but then i decided that it was too low quality so i needed to redraw it. so you know what i did? i redrew it. and it took WAYYYYY too long.
