✧ Maya Fay sketch✧
Today I felt like drawing, though unfortunately my left wrist was not as healed as a thought it was last time :/ so I had to use my right hand for this. on the positive I think this came out really good considering that fact :D it's almost Identical to my left hand art style!!!
As for the drawing myself I felt like drawing another female character from Ace Attorney and I did consider drawing Ema at first (specifically her AA4/AJ design cuz she's one of my fave AJ characters, maybe fave idk, it's hard to pick a fave, so many great characters, even in just AJ alone) but than I changed my mind because I wanted to do something purple and Maya is the purple girl!
Also I gave her heterochromia cuz like Phoenix, her canon eye colour doe's change (haven't played SoJ yet, still on DD but, I've seen the official art of her for SoJ) and I notice for Phoenix this has lead to many drawing him with heterochromia, so I decided to apply this logic to Maya and, draw her with complete heterochromia and, Phoenix with central heterochromia (instead of complete heterochromia), because I thought that would be a fun way to draw Phoenix (but I accidentally did incorrectly in my last two sketches of him, oh well I'll do it ✧Wright✧ next time).

Because I personally hc Maya as being a metal fan (it just makes sense to me) I can totally Imagine her playing metal music out loud in her house and Pearl becoming a fan partly because it's Maya's favourite music and partly because she doe's quite how it sounds.

Random Ace Attorney head canons I have
(spoilers for AA1-5, haven't played the other games yet.)
The Payne's and the Edgeworth's are distant relatives, the Payne's don't know this, but Miles does, Miles does not enjoy this fact at all
Franziska and Kristoph do speak English with a German accent but, it's not super thick as they both practiced speaking English from young age
Klavier also learnt English from a young age but likes to exaggerate his accent and, say the occasional German word, because he thinks it makes him more sexy
Larry has rich snobbish parents who were super strict and neglectful, he never got along with them (being the class clown partly to rebel against them, and partly for fun) and moved out after dropping out of highschool
The Blackquills are British (I mean this is kinda canon cuz Simon is British coded but still wanna mention it)
Maya loves metal music and, often played her CDs really loud in the office on a slow day, during the events of AA1-3 (Phoenix didn't enjoy this, but knew stopping Maya wasn't worth it, especially when Peal was also in the office dancing with Maya to the music)
Trucy also likes mental thanks to Maya sending her some CDs for her 14th birthday, Phoenix refused to talk to Maya for a few months after this happened
Trucy and Pearl tried to get Apollo and Athena into metal, they failed
Lana and Iris are friends, they met each other in prison
Miles and Athena both enjoy having conversations (often about the law) with each other, due to them both being multilingual and therefore, being able to switch between languages on a whim with each other while maintaining a conversation
✧ My first AA fanarts ✧
(that I didn't post till' now which I explain why under the cut)
So these where drawn about a month after my AA hyperfixation started and at the time I hated these sketches! I think it's mainly because I was greatly disappointed with how I drew Miles at the time (as I thought he looked too angry, which I still agree with for the first full body sketch I did of him and, I still don't like how I drew his bangs) and, both Maya and Franziska look kinda weird imo, but for my first time drawing these characters I kinda like these sketches now. Though I think spending so much time drawing with my right hand (this was just before the wrist injury) has greatly helped me appreciate these sketches :3 plus I have since drawn all four of these characters again with improvement imo
All the portrait sketches were done referencing official art, the first full body of Miles I used this pose as a reference and the non-lined sketches I did with no references. Fun fact, I did the full body sketches to try and get an idea for these character's canon heights, I legit was staring at myself in the mirror with a 30 cm ruler on my head to measure how much taller Miles Edgeworth is than Phoenix and than used Miles and a scale for height XD
And I also did the full body sketches to get an idea of how I want to draw these characters body shapes. I hc Phoenix as beefy (thick and kinda buff) cuz he rides a bike everywhere, and Miles as a twink cuz I refuse to believe that man has time to exercise, aside from using the stairs instead of the elevator of course. both Maya and Franziska are pretty much canon accurate :P

(based off a silly hc I have, I'll explain more under cut as well as talk about this silly drawing)
So if it wasn't already obvious I've decided to hc Maya as Miles sister, why? Because Misty Fey being his mother is such a dramatic plot twist I can't help but added to my collections of hcs :D!
to be clear I don't want this to be canon (as his mom being left blank is way more fun for the whole fandom imo) I just like this hc for my personal enjoyment of AA, personally I treat all my hc's as DLC for canon :P. I also hc Gregory as Mia's dad cuz again, it's a super dramatic plot twist :P
As for this drawing I drew Maya and Franziska saying hello to their big/little brother because I thought this concept was way funnier in my head than it really is (it's cuz his sisters are same age :P). I'd like to imagine Maya really likes being Miles's sister because makes her feel more justified in mooching off him because they're already steel samurai besties, Franziska would be indifferent, since this doesn't effect her friendship with Maya (Franmaya is a super cute ship I just personally don't ship it :3) and Miles doesn't dislike having another living sister (and one dead sister), however in this image he is rather overwhelmed by the situation of dealing with two sisters at once.
Also I designed casual(ish) outfits for them all cuz I love drawing outfits! And there is something super fun about fan art of characters in different clothes to me :3. Maya's outfit is of course my favourite as it's most similar to my fashion style's (though it took a while for me to figure out what her casual style would be until I decided comfort would be her biggest priority in casual fashion) but I also really enjoyed drawing Franziska's outfit, it was the easiest one for me to think of fun fact. Miles's outfit on the other hand is eh for me, sorry I just find men's fashion very boring ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Overall I love this drawing, it's definitely janky on account of being drawn with my non preferred hand but I already plan on redrawing it in future with my left hand digitally so I look forward to that future project :-D
✧Franziska and Maya being slay✧
Today I felt like drawing Franziska and Maya again because I had so much fun drawing them yesterday I wanted to draw them again, and design another outfit for both of them! I really love this drawings result as aside from Maya's nose bridge being slightly higher than I wanted (finicky, I know) This drawing came out looking even better than I had imagined the concept :D
Once again had fun designing the outfits, though I kinda doubt Franziska would wear a green and brown suit in canon but I certainly had a lot of fun designing it (never thought I'd enjoy drawing women's business suits but I guess I do!). Fun fact, the brown accents in the suit I originally planned to do black but, when it comes to my art, I always try to do multiple things the same colour to better unify the drawing, so I changed the accents to be brown, so Maya's right eye isn't the only thing coloured brown and, really like the result :D.
As for Maya's outfit, you can only see the shirt here but, in my mind her full outfit is this oversized flannel paired with a black full maxi skirt and probably her platform sandals. I did consider drawing Maya's full body in this drawing so I could draw the full look but I liked this composition too much to do something different :P.

✦ Ace Attorney sketches ✦
Today I felt like doing a bunch of Ace Attorney sketches, specifically of different sprites for multiple characters (I referenced the HD version of the trilogy sprites cuz they're higher resolution and therefore a clearer image) because, I wanted to both practice drawing a bunch of characters and also, wanted to improve my overall art skills by drawing more varied expressions! I also drew child Pearl specifically to practice drawing kids as I often default to drawing teens-adult characters.
Overall I'm happy with the results, especially the Phoenix's sketches (my favourite sketch is the second Phoenix I drew, 3rd sketch on page two) cuz he turned out way better than I expected lol. Most of these sketches are definitely rough looking but, I'm okay with that as I still feel like I've improved.
Definitely will do this again in future with different characters (next lot might be older characters like Wendy and Menfred because I really need to practice drawing people who have visible signs of age) but I'm not sure when that'll be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
❁ Maya Fey and Pearl Fey❁
Today I was drawing some NaruMitsu but after finishing the sketch I decided to leave it to work on a completely different drawing cuz, I didn't feel like finishing it today :P this of course is the drawing I did instead!
I actually really like how this drawing came out! I'm especially pleased with how Pearl turned out as it's been years since I've attempted drawing a child character full body (as recent attempts have be shoulders or torse up). I also once again had a lot of fun designing the outfits. My favourite part was doing the plaid design on Maya's skirt! I love plaid so much :3
At first I was lost on how to draw child Pearl in casual clothes (as she's young and acts her age but, is also very formal and sometimes surprisely insightful) until I remembered that she clearly looks up to Maya and likes cats, so I gave her a shirt and long skirt to match Maya's outfit but, gave the shirt a cat design cuz kids shirts do have random animal designs and/or cartoons on them (source: I have younger siblings and play legacies in the sims), I also gave her tights and flats, cuz those seem to be common in children's clothing aimed at girls and suited the outfit imo.

Few days ago felt like drawing more AA fanart (as per usual these days X3) and suddenly got an idea of drawing Trucy taking a group photo, maybe with family? But than I wanted to add more characters, and more characters and, I still wish I could add more characters! but I didn't have the space for them :-( I'm sure if I pre-planned the composition I could've easily added way more characters but this was an impulse drawing so I didn't :3
Overall though I do really like this drawing, even after making a ton of errors and being reminded of why I prefer to draw pics with a ton of characters digitally (did miss having layers and a eye drops tool a few times, amongst over conveniences) I still think it came out really fun and cute. Though definitely need to draw more Klavier as I don't think I've found him in my art style yet but, I do enjoy the ponytail I gave him and plan on drawing with with many different hairstyles :3
