I promise I'm not dead I just had art block, so here's a few doodles from yesterday :) the Trucy is a concept idea for an adult version of her

I've felt like trying animation of late (of both 2d and 3d varieties), so I've been on and off trying different (free) 2D animation programs the past few weeks. This may be nothing more than one speedily drawn Trucy spinning, with only two real "frames", but the process of making this one was what made me settle on Blender so I thought it was worth archiving :]
(and yeah my brain has been full of ace attorney oops)
The combination of features and useful conveniences (and me already being familiar with how it works) were exactly what I needed, plus it's all in a 3d space which will have its uses for if I ever feel like getting elaborate. Now I just... have to figure out what I want to animate ^^;
I don't think Blender is an easy program to get into for 2d animation if you haven't already been using it - sure has its share of obtuse bits - another one I liked was OpenToonz, which doesn't have to juggle being both a 2d and 3d program and. Well I barely scratched the surface of all its interesting features but it had the coolest onion skin ever so there's that.
Anyway that's my most recent endeavour, see you next time 👍
