I mentioned on my last post that I was working on a larger project. That project is that I’m hoping to make my own set of character designs for the main gods of Olympus, and hopefully some of the others. Of course, I started with one of my favorites, Apollo, and after sketching out his basic design, I got distracted by this text post, by @lets-get-greeky, and decided to make a quick animatic of it. I've sketched out some more for it, past where it cuts now, but its a mood at the moment (minus the creepy-stalker part), and I don’t really want to change that.

This sketchy version of Apollo isn’t too dissimilar to what I’m hoping he’ll look like in the end, and I already have a finished piece with an older, simpler design for him, so I can probably finish, or get close to finishing him up, within the next week or two.

Hi! (: It’s my boy!

I’ve planned out all the pages for the short comic I’m working on, and I’ve finished his reference page. While doing so, I realized that the spelling of Eleidal’s name changes every time I type it, even in the game. Despite what I’ve used in-game, the correct spelling is shown here.

I finally made some art I liked enough to finish! It was originally based on this, but I made it blue, and changed a few things. Critique is always welcome, and I hope you have a nice, safe day!

I’ve finished the first of the character designs I’m going to start selling! He’s a teifling fighter, and once I finish the one more character, I’ll post them together to be sold. The second character will likely be a teifling wizard, with a similar color palette and outfit inspiration, though this design strayed pretty far from the source inspiration.

When he’s posted for sale, I’ll show his full body. I’m not hiding much, I just can’t draw hands or feet still.

It’s time for another bug! :)

I was originally planning on drawing a wasp design for my Redbubble page, but I decided I wanted to add fur. The shop currently has only two designs up, and I need to add some stuff to my profile before I start promoting it, but once I do, it will be linked somewhere on my blog, with this design on there!

Once again, I’m working on yet another character design! :)

I was pretty heavily inspired by Cicero from Skyrim, and @slocotion‘s dolls, with a little bit of Lovecraft sprinkled in there for some extra eyeballs. 

Before this attempt at sketching him, I did a few in my sketchbook, trying to figure out the basic theme of the character, and fit in some anatomy practice. His anatomy in this is a bit messy, but I like the eye details on his hat and collar, and plan to carry that theme into the jewelry I will eventually add. The tail probably won’t make it to the final design, but I wanted to consider making him a demon or at least something other than human.
