Don't Always Write To Finish a Novel

I've had writer's block for almost a year now and it was only when I took a step back and just wrote whatever I wanted without thinking I needed to finish it, did it clear up. Stress is very real and the stress we give ourselves is stronger than any other.

Ren is a fabrication I made when I was in middle school to cope with loneliness. I would talk to him in my head as if he were truly there since no one else would even look in my direction. I had a lot of fun and he became a big part of my life, so much so that I began to turn to him more than I did my own family. Ren is more or less myself, but he doesn't have crippling anxiety. He's brash, honest and truly himself with no reservations about the world around him. Usually, his character is one of my most interesting since it's me if I wasn't born with most of my issues.
