I don’t know what it is about Yellow Flicker Beat but that intro feels like something both holy and lonesome. As if you’re the last on the battlefield, humming sadly, knowing that some god chose you and only you to live. You’re grateful for the life you have kept, yet mourn the life that was lost. The shadow of who you were before the slaughter will forever haunt you, just as unspeakable things have been done in the name of peace. How will you ever recover?
