DP Crossover Prompt

DP x Harry Potter

Please bare with me as I begin:

We, as a collective, have established that it was Lily’s sacrifice, via when Voldemort killed her, that protected Harry and rebounded the Killing Curse back at Tom Riddle that night.

Yet, if I may take this a step even further. Some may ask, where did Lily possibly learn how to do this? Realistically, there’s no way that this magic was just something Lily invented, no matter how talented she was.

I am a little lazy, so it easier just to say she either found a book or scroll in the Potter library/vault or was somehow ‘mysteriously’ *Clockwork* led to find the ritual.

A very specific ritual that called upon the MONARCH OF THE INFINITE REALM to protect someone and place them under their rule.

This ritual was originally used by Parish Dark as an easy method to damning souls to eternal servitude as mindless drones in his army.

Lily didn’t see the eternal servitude part, as it was in the fine print, and honestly, who actually reads the fine print anyway. She did the ritual, but ‘accidentally’ mistranslated some words.

Who knew protection and adoption looked so similar in Ghost?

Anywho, by invoking the power of the Monarch of The Infinite Realm, Lily thought she put Harry under the Monarch’s rule and protection.

Which, if she translated it correctly, it would have. But since she didn’t….something else happened instead. Something incredibly unexpected.

For example, making a deal with the Monarch of The Infinite Realm to adopt her son.

Thus, enters a very confused and very tired Danny Fenton simply trying to get his college degree when, completely out of the blue, he can immediately recognize that he somehow just adopted an infant.

A actual human infant.

It’s a wizard and has magic, but still human for the most part.

*Cue Danny realizing this as a soul appeared in front of him*

Danny: “Fiddlesticks!”

*Immediately calls Jazz, the only Fenton with properly functioning brain cells*

Jazz: “What’s up?”

Danny: “I got another kid.”

Jazz: *Not even phased anymore* “What is it this time? Clone? Alternate timeline? Emotionally imprinted?

Danny: “A witch did a blood ritual invoking my status as Ruler of The Ghost Zone to save her kid’s life in exchange for eternal servitude. Now I kinda own her soul, and I sorta technically adopted her son.”

Jazz: 😐

Jazz: “…Huh. That is a new one. So when can I meet my new nephew?”

Danny: “Okay, repeat everything I’ve said back to me.”

Harry: “If I ever see something dangerous, I shot it immediately then asks questions after.”

Danny: *nodding* “Good. What else?”

Harry: “If a evil person tries to make me their evil apprentice, I shoot them twice to be safe.”

Danny: “Better. And what if you discover someone is plotting to destroy the school or to use a powerful artifact to gain power and become immortal?”

Harry: “…I get the bazooka?”

Danny: *tears in his eye* “Your grandparents would be so proud of you.”

Requirements/Ideas:

-Harry will not, under any circumstance, stay with the Dursley’s (Not if Danny has anything to say about it)

-Lily will become a ghost/or shade that will help raise Harry. It takes a few year for her to fully form after dying and regain all of her memories.

-James Potter can either be fully dead or also become a ghost since his soul was technically involved with the bargain Lily made.

-Harry will be mostly raised by Danny, other ghosts, and the Fenton’s(debatable if you want Danny to have a good relationship with his parents) (#Dissection)

-Harry is not a Horcrux. None of that bullshit.

-Good amount of Dumbledore bashing, but not too much. Snape, on the other hand, will be crucified and nothing will change my mind.

-100000% see Danny as the Ultimate helicopter parent, but also be, like, super involved. I’m talking forming a Hogwarts PTA, randomly showing up to Harry’s Quidditch games and no one being able to stop him, and will for sure threaten anything remotely registering as a threat to Harry.

-Danny will become friends with Hagrid, and visit Hogwarts so Cujo and Fluffy can have play dates.

-Dani will be the Wine Aunt/older sister that randomly shows up sometimes. Clockwork is the fun grandpa that always gives out random fortune cookie advice. Dan is the weird uncle that likes to encourage mildly illegal activity whenever possible. And Vlad is just there.

-Daniel James Fenton/Phantom will not be nerfed in any way. My boy is the ruler of an ENTIRE DIMENSION. Ain’t no way some pasty dudes with sticks are gonna beat him or be even remotely close to his level.

Short DPXDC Prompts #351

Fuck it. Jack Fenton is a meta. His abilities: being an unbreakable object. Dude can run through 8 inches of solid steel and come out the other side of the wall without a scratch on him. He’s the most terrifying Kool-Aid Man to ever exist. this Odd Man with Catchphrase™️ doesn’t have a glass of a cold drink in his hand. Nonono not at all. He holds a Fenton Flamethrower and looks far too delighted to be wielding it.

You know, it’s possible that Danny has more Right to the Throne than just having beaten Pariah Dark.

In episode 13 on Halloween, Danny took the Sword of Pariah Dark’s right hand servant and Knight Fright Knight. Danny’s “I’ll have it back by Midnight.” Could be easily be taken as a challenge. That Danny intends to put Fright Knight back into stasis before midnight Unless Fright Knight can reclaim his sword and defeat him before that time.

Doesn’t matter what Danny’s actual intentions were for the Sword. He freed Fright Knight. stated his terms and left with it.

Fright Knight manages to retrieve Soul Shredder but the fight isn’t over. There’s still time to Midnight which means the Challenge is still in place. They fight, Danny successfully defeats Fright Knight in a battle not just of strength but Will. His aura flairs while they struggle against each other for control of Soul Shredder.

Danny wins and speaks the verse “To cease the storm, To end the fear, The sword must sheathe, In pumpkin near!” Before sheathing Soul Shredder in a ‘pumpkin’ and stating, “Told ya I’d have it back by midnight.” Claiming his victory against The Spirit of Halloween ON the Day/Evening where he’s likely more powerful than usual.

Danny Fenton challenges The Ghost King’s Right Hand, before Vlad makes a move to get the Key. Danny Phantom successfully defeats Fright Knight in 1v1 combat.

Danny Fenton-Phantom threw down his right to duel Pariah with his full self, both as Living and Dead. Without even realizing that’s what was happening bc he’s 14 and well, there’s no one around teaching him that there are rules and a formal process to things.

The Infinite Realms won’t care that Danny came and ‘stole/borrowed’ Soul Shredder’ for some Living Bet, (of which he immediately showed his code of honor in admitting to cheating and accepting the consequence of losing the Bet.) maybe unless an adult intervened but its funnier if he does eat the underwear but unintentionally and on instinct does that intangible trick that happened with that Spork in Public Enemy.

THEN when Dark is released Danny is the one who pulls out the Sword (initially to fight Vlad but ultimately ends up denying surrender thus kickstarting the challenge) and Danny is the one who goes to the castle/keep alone and begins the fight. It took a TEAM of Ancients to put Pariah away the first time. Yet the Ghosts who come to help not only give him a pep talk but refuse to go with him to help in the Duel.

And I think it’s because they either Knew this was a Challenge for the Throne or sensed it Had to be Danny first and Had to be Danny only who fought.

If anything Vlad would be considered his second. Or at most the first choice for a temporary monarch until Danny comes of age to be Crowned. After all Vlad didn’t fight ANYONE at any point in acquiring what was needed to free Pariah. The Behemoth was made to retreat from pursuing Vlad who used Trickery to get the key like a thief, he fled from Pariah Dark rather than face him in anyway and convinced Fright Knight to “work for him” rather than fight him either.

Sure that might seem like a good idea and maybe if Vlad had actually managed to Overthrow Pariah with an uprising he would have some footing to make a claim but he doesn’t have any backing in using Right of Conquest for such a claim.

The Right of Conquest is a right of ownership to land after immediate possession via force of arms. A Force of Arms is defined as “by using Weapons” or “by military action.” The ghosts fighting the army of Skeletons would count as military action and the Exosuit would be considered a Weapon.

By taking this into consideration Vladimir Masters-Plasmius (who by all accounts classifies as a Spy) has no Right to the Throne of The Infinite Realms, and also did everything via his ghost self.

Where Danny Fenton-Phantom was victorious in Two 1v1 Duels against both The Royal Knight and The High King himself. AND is active within the ghostly community with both his Living and Unliving sides. Has shown commitment to the well being and safety of both The Realms and The Living Realms on countless occasions.

So under these observations I have decided Vlad has no substantial claim to the Title or Position of King. Especially after that fucking mess in Kindred Spirits where Danny gave him a fucking beat down.

Anyway those are my thoughts on how Danny actually pulled a fast one on Vlad (unintentionally) who figured it out and instead of trying to defeat or challenge Danny for the Throne actually intended to replace him with a clone that would obey him and Rule or become Ruler that way. Aside from just being a terrible person and ‘Father’ that would likely be a primary factor in his rejection of Elle.

Fic Idea that’s been bugging all week: Banshee and dc x dp

Ok so picture this, Amity Park is a small city and very off the maps place. Staying true to how the Justice League actually acts in the comics they would probably just note it down and mark the names of the heroes in that city and leave it be unless they asked for help if they are even aware of the city’s ghost problem in the first place. Since the Justice League was made to deal with world ending threats and each big member each have their own city’s and bad guys to take care of so they wouldn’t be looking into every problem that arose especially if there are heroes already taking care of it (including batman, he’s paranoid but he has the next arkham break out, joker venom, fear gas incident to plan for he doesn’t have time to look into every city and hero he’s made aware of, it’s a lot of city’s and heroes and it is being taken care of so it is really not his problem when he’s so busy even on his slowest days) .

This means the Justice League would have little to no idea who and what Phantom actually is other then the fact that he’s one of the Amity’s heroes.

Now cue the Justice League planning a party and inviting various minor (not as publicly known) heroes from various places so that everyone can get to know each other and make connections. Connections to other heroes can be very important in the long term for saving the day especially if you hit it off with someone who has a unique power set that could save time and lives if you run into a dangerous situation or just need help with your rouge gallery. This party also allows the Justice League to learn about their coworkers in a non-Earth ending situation and would help them decide who to call in an emergency based on the heroes skill set.

Now enter Danny “gremlin shit-starter” Fenton age 18-20 who got invited to this party along side Valerie “enabling shit-starter” Gray age 18-20 (adult but still very young compared to their hero peers). They have a truce and by this point are best frenemies (up to you if Val knows about Phantom but personally I think canon did her dirty and I believe she’s definitely smart enough to realize that Danny and Phantom are one and the same 3 seconds after meeting Phantom’s clone sister Dani since she already learned Halfas are a thing).

Because this is actually something 18 to 20 year olds would do, Danny gets dared to do his creepy ghost voice for the ENTIRE party by probably Tucker with Sam encouraging it by saying he should give someone a crisis of some kind too because it would definitely be funny. Val is tasked with getting other heroes reactions to this on her helmet cam so the rest of team phantom can watch it later. However, this is Danny Fenton the most stubborn person ever (looking at canon and fanon he is just unwilling to lose) and he’s going to be meeting ALIENS and he wants to make a good impression before he completes the dare so… sign language since the dare only implies spoken voice.

Phantom can’t speak out loud and Red takes that to her full advantage to see if she can make him slip up and speak normally. Maybe he has to do something if he loses I have no idea yet.

The main scene that I have stuck in my head is near the beginning of the party.

The party starts with this awkward atmosphere with no one really talking to each other and Val in all her Red Huntress glory decides to break it in a way she KNOWS the rest of team Phantom will find hilarious.

Val picks up Danny and yells “DIS BANSHEE EMPTY! YEET!!” And just chucks him half way across the room before his flight catches him.

Danny with a look a pure exaggerated offence signs back in full view of all the heroes in the room (most if not all of which know sign language) ‘Empty E M P T Y I will have you know I still have three rocks and a five dollar bill inside me. I am not empty.’

This promptly breaks all tension in the room (Hal and Barry are actively stifling their laughs but any of the younger heroes from the YJL and Titians don’t even bother trying to tone down their laughter) and leaves every hero with the misunderstanding that Phantom is a Banshee and therefore should be treated with Fairy rules since Banshees are a type of Fae.

The magic users are freaking out a bit cause Phantom’s aura is balanced perfectly between life and death but it makes perfect sense if he’s a banshee but they’re still freaking out cause ‘THAT IS A MALE BANSHEE! M A L E.’ (in most lore that I’ve seen male banshees are stupidly rare like almost nonexistent rare so to actually meet one would be like winning the lottery).

The rest of the party is just people awkwardly stuttering through conversations with him since they’re constantly trying to remember the dos and don’ts of talking to fae. Danny is completely oblivious while Val is recording as much as she can which is constantly because this is hilarious and she is fully aware of the misunderstanding she caused.

Around half way through the party, after Danny has met most if not all the resident aliens, Black Canary approaches him for tips on how to use her cry more effectively. This is literally a once in a lifetime chance for her to learn from or at the very least compare her powers to a being who could understand a vocal attack in a way no one else can.

Danny simply thinks that she’s heard of him and thus knows about his ghostly wail from his fights. He’s also slightly honoured that this veteran hero is asking HIM for tips.

Anyways they’ve been talking for a bit when Batman tries to get the attention of the room and Danny decides it’s perfect time to: help Batman get everyone’s attention, demonstrate applying a ‘cry’ to a soft voice, and complete the dare to freak everyone out with his creepy voice.

A simple whispered “silence please” pretty much rings across the entire room. Phantom’s voice is a mixture of cracking ice and haunting echo, a hint of crying souls plaguing the rebound with a slight physical pressure from tapping into his wail.

Just completely unsettling and absolutely otherworldly. Val is doing her best not to laugh at all the shocked faces around the room.

Frankly thats all I have, I just love the idea of Black Canary and Danny Phantom bonding over their cry and wail and having Danny Interact with the hero community without his death being shoved in their face right off the bat. Like just, this kid canonically isn’t really affected by his half death all that much and I’d just love more fics with other heroes completely misunderstanding what he is, fae or alien or meta. Especially him being mistaken for a banshee since he fits it so perfectly down to the colour scheme. Have the other heroes be awkward around him for a completely different reason then him being a ghost. I love seeing him using his powers to actively freak people out and mess with them like a teen/young adult should. Let him be otherworldly before people see the dead 14 year old child. Most importantly though I’d like to see friendship between Canary and Phantom since their power is so similar but on two completely different scales. They would also just have a very interesting dynamic cause Canary tends to talk her enemies down if she can (I definitely believe she’d be Jazz’s favourite hero) and I think Danny would be insanely comfortable around her just due to her having a similar “lets talk about it” vibe to Jazz.
