I can’t help but feel devastated for Amandla Stenberg & Manny Jacinto as well. They have so clearly voiced their support and love for these characters and story. Amandla especially has said time and time again how she is such a huge Star Wars fan. You can tell it wasn’t just a job for them. They’re fans, too.
See, a Gossip Girl reboot was not a terrible idea.
It would've been interesting to see these rich high schoolers in their bubble surrounded by the modern world.
It would've been like a young Succession, arrogant teens doing stupid things and not understanding why their morals are wrong.
But THE WRITING....
Because of the writing, we got....whatever this was.
A massive shout out to The Acolyte fandom because for a new fandom the quality of Fic and Art that you guys have put out is unbelievable. Don't let this discouraged you from make stuff for something that you love and has made you and others happy.
