I had a crazy dream a few years back, possibly influenced by Moana, Kimi no Nawa and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! If you wanna make a story out of it, that'd be great. As long as you credit me for the dreaming hahahahaha.
Anyway, I was dreaming that I was watching an anime. In this anime, there was a girl who was travelling to a faraway island to get some building materials to build something to save her home island. On the new island, she bumped into a charming boy on a skateboard. But there was also a shy boy who is the son of the Head of the Island. The Island Head was very strict and neglectful of his son ever since his wife died and he remarried a not-so-nice lady. Shyguy wanted to be friends with the girl and was secretly jealous of the charming boy for being so, well, charming.
The girl gets along well with the rest of the Island inhabitants, while wondering what is up with the shy boy and wanting to be friends with him. She learned from the islanders about the shy guy's family issues and past, about his late mum, his stepmum and about his dad becoming cold and closed off after his first wife's death and his subsequent remarriage. One day, as the girl went foraging in the forest of the island to get some materials for her mission, she falls in a pit. She can't get out. Meanwhile, the shy guy is at an electronics store. He's toying with a gadget there when the gadget accidentally gets activated and shows him the girl stuck in a pit in the forest. He uses said gadget to make a hologram of a gigantic gorilla to get her out. The girl thanks him and they become friends.
The girl is about to pack up her things and go back to her home island, and the shy boy makes some sushi for her for the journey home. However, his dad stops the boy from giving the girl the sushi and takes the girl aside. He tells her privately to stay away from his son. Shyguy is upset and runs off to visit his late mum's grave to vent to her. The girl also chews out the boy's stepmum for being mean to him. That night, the girl is preparing to sail back home. The shy boy also sneaks out to secretly join her.
Then I woke up. The end haha
I’m working on a massive list of all the media I’ve consumed in my almost 25 years of life and will post a link to it here once it’s done. But if anyone’s curious as to roughly what I’m into feel free to ask in the comments
New show
Alien 1 enters the room to Human crying on the couch
Alien 1: Human are you okay!?
Human: Yeah, just watching my show.
Alien 1: You mean the box of electricity
Human grabs Alien 1 and sit them down
Human: now get ready to get attached to people we won't ever meet and cry about them for hours
Alien 1: Umm can we not
Two days later
Alien 1 and human both wrapped in blankets crying
having a small, weird adult sitcom show is awesome, but it's also hell. this show is a couple years old, has very concerning humor and distasteful art style, and I have a rare pair of a side character and a main character when the target audience of this show is those in middle age. it's so hard
Watching The Edge of Sleep for the 1st time with my coworker who don't understand just how much this man means to me. She don't know this man raised me.
I've never seen Good Omens, which, in retrospect, seems extremely weird for me.
I already have a fascination with Abrahamic literature and film. Actually, I love all mythology, especially Greek. It's a special interest, I think. I have a hard time telling people I have a special interest in mythology because I'm an agnostic athiest and profoundly against religious institutions in practice. But as stories, they're brilliant tools for storytelling.
Do you like religion?
Yes.
Do you *like* religion?
No.
I also love the work I've seen from Neil Gaiman (which is admittedly not a lot), and I love the leads (Michael Sheen & David Tennant).
AND, I see that the neurodivergent community at large absolutely loves this show (and I presume the book as well), and I'm *the* neurodivergent. Neurodivergency wishes they were me.
So I'm thinking I should watch Good Omens.
I'm feeling depressi today should i:
A. Watch a new TV show everyone is talking about that looks really good
B. Watch a TV show I meant to watch like two years ago when it first came out
C. Watch my comfort TV show like criminal minds or NCIS which I've already seen like 10 times
Or D. Watch no TV shows, watch tiktok and take a nap
Ah, the struggle
Jonny goodman-friday night dinner
The girls that get it, get it and the girls that don't, don't.
I just finished watching The End of The F***ing World and I'm completely floored. The last episode had me crying and shaking and quaking.
Such a beautiful fucking show.
Love it.

HARRY POTTER E L'ADATTAMENTO HBO

I haven't read the book to its completion but I can't decide if I appreciate the omission of the blatant csa.
