six word poem 4/26
Prompt: “Your work is spellbinding, Six. If it wouldn’t trouble you much, would you please pen a poem about the scope of the Earth. About how we’re all different, yet inherently the same in a biological sense.”
Forty-six chromosomes spawned seven billion misfits
You may have gotten this question before, but do you know the rest of the nantucket story?
No, I have not gotten this question before; thank you for finally asking!
To answer said question: yes, I know both the dirty and the clean versions. Oddly enough, I actually learned the dirty version long before I even knew there was a clean one. When I was younger, my Mom used to recite it to me, as it had been recited to her by her father when she was a little girl:
(NB: the “****”s are pronounced as muffled noises)
There once was a man from Nantucket
Whose **** was so long he could **** it.
He said with a grin
As he wiped off his chin,
"If my ear was a **** I could **** it!"
Having a terrible sense of humor is a proud family tradition which we take very seriously.

CMYK is a three-dimensional mural created by the Norway-based design collective, Skurktur. Using spray paints, stencils, and a variety of mixed media, the artists produced this playful scene in which a young child and a grown man react very differently to the colorful “rain” dripping down the side of the building. The flat stenciled shapes interact seamlessly with the drips of water and the half-umbrella protruding from the wall.
