This Is Absolutely A Problem For Me. My Kids Ask Me What A Word Means And I Have To Pull Out The Dictionary

This is absolutely a problem for me. My kids ask me what a word means and I have to pull out the dictionary because "It's like uhm... this, sorta..." is not a good definition for kids learning language exactly.

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.

if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

Ok, so I am curious what people would say my style is.
