She really just wanted to party and Mr Phantom of the Opera™ ruined it. Look at her. She made that whole costume herself. She spent months on it. Girl saved up money for the boots. She was living until Stupid Red Death showed up. :(

When u just want to have good time at the masquerade ball but the “angel” sent by your friend’s dead dad to teach her music who she has conflicted feelings for even tho she is engaged to her childhood sweetheart crashes the party in an elaborate costume and causes drama 😐

Ask time! What inspires you most to create art?

Thanks for your ask!! This is a fun question! There's not one thing that inspires me, I think. I get my ideas from books/fanfiction, movies, shows - mostly Phantom of the Opera - ... But most of the time I'm just doing something and suddenly, BANG, my brain's like, "let's draw THIS idea." I always have to write it down so that I won't forget. My short term memory is something else.

A lot of the time though, and I know this is cliche, music inspires me! I listen to anything, from classical to heavy metal to pop. Sometimes the lyrics make me wanna draw something, other times the general vibe makes me wanna create a thing.

For example, I drew this lil guy (Basil from Omori) because I listened to Best Day Ever 😂. The Spongebob song.

What inspires you btw? Your art is fantastic! Very lively. Reminds me of the Dragon Prince comic art style.

I should bombard you with love here more often tbh you are literally the best. Now where's your hamster ball

Thank you for your answer!!! These are all so gorgeous. I've haven't seen most of the ones depicting your ocs, what great pieces they are!! Holy crap, the way you drew the sea in that one drawing. Drawing a sea is hard enough but making it frothy and stormy is even harder, but you managed it so well. I bet that took a lot of blood sweat and tears 😆.

Thanks for blessing us once again 😌. The first poto drawing you sent is also one of my favs. The expressions are indeed very vibrant!! I aspire to draw like you. You know, the colors you use in your art kinda remind me of the paintings by Adriaen van Utrecht (see pics below). While he mostly painted still lives, he also used vibrant colors, but in a way that they all blend together very well (like you.) Actually, your style's kinda like a unique modern baroque art style, and I love it!

I love your art too!! 🥺 AHH I think out of my Phantom art I like these the most, if I had to pick just one favourite it would probably be the first one in this list 😊 I like all of these for different reasons, the first two and the second to last because I like how expressive they turned out, the third, fourth and fifth because of the composition, the sixth because of the intricacy, the seventh and last because of the lighting, I think in all of these I missed the mark on some aspects but landed the one thing I was going for so I still like them 😆

But I think the art I'm the most proud of right now is the one I've made for my original characters so far!! Not for the art itself but because it's the first original story and art I've made so it feels special to me 😭

I realized I never posted these here on tumblr! 2020 did unspeakable things to my mind and body…I staggered away from lockdown with a whole pitch of how I would make an animated Cats adaptation. I got the whole thing up here *taps skull*—it would be Very Good. I can’t think about it too much lest I awaken my sleeping obsession…still want to finish Old Deut and Macavity one of these days.

Fun fact: The term "Jellicle Cat" is actually the cats’ mishearing of the term "Dear Little Cat" (this gives me much joy)
