AI needs to be stopped.

This is going to be very different to my usual posts, i understand if you're not interested and I can't stop you from not reading this but I cannot understand how important it is that we regulate AI and it's useage. Even if you don't read my post, please do your research, please.

AI vs Artists

AI is being developed from the work of artists, artists who put effort and passion into their work are having it stolen and used to develop an algorithm that will destroy their livelyhood. Your art is not safe.

I cannot emphasize this enough, like it or not, your art is not safe. I'm not going to tell you to stop posting your art, but beg you, learn how these things work. Learn the current laws around ai, push for further restrictions and for companys to be held accountable, talk with other artists, fight back against ai.

We have hit a point where it's make or break, frankly I don't believe the art industry, especially the digital art industry, will ever be the same. You cannot outright ban the use of AI generated images, even regulations are temporary because what happens when ai really figures it out? When there's no strange blip or extra finger to give it away? When the two are practically indistinguishable?

There's alot more I can say about AI and how devastating ai generated media is going to be, and make no mistake it will be devastating, ai has and will continue to ruin the lives of many people.

This is not a joke, this isn't something that will sort itself out or burn itself out, you need to act now and do whatever you can if not for others then for yourself because you are not immune to AI and it's consequences and by the time you realise that it may be too late.

Growing up I always watched movies, documentaries, tv shows and read books about atrocities committed by people in history and thought.. how did this happen and why did no one do anything? Why did governments not intervene? Why did public figures not speak out? How did they get away with it? it? Most importantly how did human treat other humans like that? Where was the compassion?

I'm ashamed to say that in 2024 I now have the answers. The government's gas lighting and complicity, the media dehumanising, ignoring and bias reporting, the huge companies funding and supporting, the public figures choosing to stay silent, the ordinary person pretending "they don't know enough" this is how we've allowed this to happen time and time again..

In the past we could forgive people for not having enough information, not having access to it, not being able to hear the stories of the horrors, to be able to see it with their own eyes..

In 2024 you can't pretend you "don't know enough" you can't pretend you don't see innocent children, men, and women being brutally killed by sadistic, genocidal leaders and their war crimes.. you can't ignore the 100's and 1000's of videos, images, stories and people who are telling you what is happening.. the sheer horror of images we are seeing.. you can't ignore the countless protests, discourse, conversations, posts, live feeds etc.. history will judge your inaction, your silence, your ignorance..

This is not a war.. this is a genocide.. this is massacre.. there are no sides..

Also please don't forget the innocent people suffering in Sudan and Congo they need our voices too!

Pile 1: Something from your childhood. This could have to do with your development, where you feel like you weren't cared for enough and/or had to constantly hide your true self. For some of you this negligence and abuse led you to take a long time to know your sexuality or be at peace with it. You are ashamed of never truly being safe.

Pile 2: You are ashamed of always having to be strong. I'm remembering Reesa Teesa when she said she wanted it to finally be her turn (in reference to romance). You could have had to be alone for quite some time while having fears around that fact. The shame comes from not feeling complete all by yourself.

Pile 3: Not being able to follow up on your words. You could have talked about plans that didn't/aren't panning out. Your shame comes from not knowing everything you need to know while constantly feeling like you need to move. Due to this, a victory never really feels like one.
