my thoughts on certain characters being the 'minister'

Peter Lukas - I think it's unlikely bc no jonah to make a wager with to get him off the boat so he's probably still at sea buutt if it was him think it would funny bc he'd definitely have 'disappeared' Collin just to not deal with him

Simon Fairchild - he wouldn't give a shit like we saw him with the extinction stuff he'd just not care about what the OIAR is doing at all and I think that would be funny

Annabelle Cane - that would be verryy plot relevant and also probably the same annabelle Cane from tma bc she said she'd either go with the fears or die and so far as I can remember they said there was no sign of her I would love a return of annabel mainly just bc I love her

Sasha James - more likely to be the new IT person but also I desperately just want sasha to be alive and well I also think she'd be very good at her job we knew she would have made a good archivist but an actual one rather than eldritch horror one so maybe she's a librarian somewhere completely separate

Tim Stoker - I strongly believe he wouldn't take it seriously and would flirt with every one and make jokes about the computers looking worse for wears until he hears about collin and just makes jokes about collin

Danny Stoker - would be funny but would also mean Tim is not linked to the supernatural at all bc he only got involved after Danny's death so if Danny's fine so is Tim and I need Tim to be ok also I think it would be a fun link without them just having the same cast as tma

Elias Buchard (the real one) - would imply gwen is a nepo baby which would be really funny to see them interact also wonder how jonah would feel about it also he was a stoner so I don't think he'd be good at his job and this would be very funny

Jurgen leitner - he's probably dead but I think this would be fun and we don't know if he even had his library in this world but if he did and then became the minister of the oiar that's a bad way to hide and I think he'd die pretty quickly

Daisy Tonner - she would penalise them for everything she'd be so strict on them and probably aggressive I also think its unlikely to be her she'd hate the bureaucracy and would probably empathise with collins solution to their problems

someone new - the fandom reaction would be funny as fuck like we've spent all this time theorising and guessing and then it's no one we've ever heard of before I just think it would be a funny way to throw off everyone

recently rewatched a few x men movies and it was physically painful

not because of the effects or the characters but because listening to the way the they talk about mutants and the 'mutant issue' is soo similar to how people talk about trans stuff

like painfully similar and as a trans person I felt it so hard

tma is a fandom with the most beautiful ship names known to man like lonely eyes is gorgeous and foggy skies mwah stunning

and then there's the main ship the actual cannon ship featuring the protagonist and its fucking jmart

there is a lot and I'm still processing it all and the consequences of what it all means especially the content of jonahs statement like how much he knows/doesn't know about the fears

I have a very strange variety of special interests one of which includes joseph grimaldi the actual real historical figure

I could info dump about his life for hours but I also hyperfixated on tma which features (granted briefly) joseph grimaldi

and now I can't find posts just about joey they're all tma which is OK but I want my depressed clown man posts

it also means that I do have a lot of questions for jonny about the timeline of joseph grimaldis life within tma universe

I think it's like they're both reacting to the idea that ignorance doesn't keep you safe in this world as pointed out by multiple people in tma

but Alice's reaction is don't get involved in the world of horrors to begin with and Sam's reaction is to not be so ignorant

I've seen a lot of takes about Sam and Alice's relationship recently and I really don't think it's as black and white as people make it. Being team Sam or team Alice feels like simplify the situation too much.

They're Exs. Ex long term partners at that. This wasn't a few months fling it was years. It was complicated enough that Sam stuck around when Alice's parents died but then drifted away when he could. Alice got him the job after a sad vague post not after an actual conversation.

They clearly want different things. Sam wants a friend but also clearly wants there to be clear boundaries between them (not talking about each others love lives) and not to forget the past. Alice wants her best friend back. She wants to ignore the bad bits from the past and be as close as they used to be. They're both clearly lonely but you really feel it with the way Alice is was Sam.

Alice is a protective person. You see it with her brother and even Gwen honestly. She's also awful at showing it. Don't get me wrong, she shows some really controlling behaviour but it never seems to be done out of malice or even done in a self-serving way (some exceptions). This was clearly a reason for their breakup.

Sam clearly feels like he needs to prove himself. He also wants to know what's going on. When Alice tries to stop him he's clearly remembering something she's done in the past. He clearly doesn't want to be babied by his ex. So, as a result, he's seeing everything she's doing to stop him looking into cases as a way to control him. Even when (most clearly in the latest episode) she's just trying to stop him walking into danger.

The issue is neither of them are listening to each other. They both think they're right and the other just doesn't understand. Instead of talking to each other, Sam's just shouting at Alice and Alice is trying any round about way she can to stop Sam.

Anyway. This post is a mess I just think they're both super interesting.
