Midnight - Adam Stanheight / Reader

Midnight - Adam Stanheight / Reader

You woke up, hot and hungry. Your dinner last night was small, and you were regretting eating so little. At first it was just an assumption that, maybe you’d be okay until morning, but now you weren’t so sure. You reached for the lamp on the bedside table, but it didn’t turn on. Miserably, you turned the switch several more times, to no avail. You decided that the lamp was broken and lazily searched for your mobile phone. It should have been in the drawer, but alas, you found it empty. It was then that you realized you would have to get up. That should have been given from the beginning however, seeing as you did not have your fridge in your bedroom. Reluctantly you left the warmth of the bed, and the comfort of your boyfriend.

The air was chilly, because you and Adam had left the windows open after nearly burning the eggs from dinner. Now you wished you hadn’t done that. You stumbled through the laundry mess and over to the door, where you stretched out an arm fearlessly. Your fingers fumbled with the light switch, which was sticky, and finally forced it up. The lights remained off, much to your disapproval.

Frowning, you thought about your situation. The lamp and the ceiling lights weren’t working, there was a raging thunderstorm outside as well. The rain pounded on the rooftop, and sent raindrops spiraling into the living room, probably drenching the couch and the rug by now. Perhaps, the power had gone out?

You headed into the kitchen, not wanting to deal with the wet furniture by the window, and ate a quick snack which consisted of (favorite crackers) and a glass of water. When you came back, you heard Adam ask, “Did your lamp turn on?”

“No,” you answered flatly, not even registering the fact that Adam was awake right now.

“What were you doing?”

“Eating,” you said sincerely. “I think the power’s out,” you added dishearteningly.

“Well,” Adam grumbled. “It was probably the storm. Oh shit, the windows are open!”

“Yeah,” you replied desolately. “Everything’s drenched.”

“Great.” Adam stretched out an arm towards you but you couldn’t see it. “Come’re.”

You tried to look for him in the darkness, but didn’t succeed in the slightest. You reached for the light switch automatically. The lights did not turn on. “Okay.”

You stumbled through the room blindly, arms outstretched and head ducked down so as to not hit it against anything. This proved difficult because now you couldn’t see where you were going. But this wouldn’t have mattered anyway, even if you’d had your head up; you couldn’t see in the darkness either.

After some shuffling around aimlessly, you found the bottom of the bed, and hauled yourself onto it. Crawling over to the pillows, you tried to find Adam with your hands. Your attempts were futile, so you just focused on going up; straight to the headboard. This was an easy task, it was afterwards that was hard.

“I can’t see you, baby,” you pointed out in annoyance. You weren’t annoyed at Adam, but rather the situation.

“Here,” Adam said from somewhere to the left of you. He reached out, seemingly confident that he could find you, and was extremely disappointed. “Okay. Fair enough.”

But this did not satisfy you. You wouldn’t give up that easily. You leaned to the right stiffly, your arms straight out like sticks. You waved them around recklessly, until one of your hands flew into the headboard with a thwack. It hurt more than it should have, and you flinched, sucking in a sharp breath. You pulled your arms to your sides, and clutched your left hand to your chest.

“Are you okay?” Adam asked you in alarm. He was sitting up now, but you, unfortunately, couldn’t see him. “Y/N? What happened?”

“Nothing,” you muttered, your hand throbbing painfully. Maybe you had hit it a little harder than you’d first thought. “Where are you?”

“I’m over here,” Answered Adam.

“Over where?”

“On the right.”

“Well, that doesn’t help me. Are you IN the bed?”

Adam laughed. “Of course I’m IN it. Why would I be out in the cold?”

Sliding over, you crashed into your boyfriend. “Oh!” You exclaimed. “F-Found you.”

Adam tried to wrap an arm around your shoulders, but only ended up hitting you over the head with his elbow. You grunted, and a million little apologies erupted from Adam instantaneously. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry, baby. I’m so sorry, oh god, did I hurt you?”

“No,” you assured him vehemently. “It’s fine.”

You snuggled up against Adam clumsily, and after a couple of seconds you managed to rest your head on his shoulder. You helped him find your waist, and he put his arm around it gently. “I love you,” Adam said into the darkness suddenly.

It didn’t surprise you to hear that; he always tried to express himself as much as possible. The only thing that surprised you was that he was choosing now to do it. Either way, of course, you would never pass up the opportunity to reply to that. “I love you, too, Adam,” you whispered happily.

“What time is it?” He inquired. “It looks like it’s two AM.”

“I don’t know,” you responded irritatedly. “I can’t find my goddamn phone.”

“No worries,” Adam said and pulled away from you, making your entire right side cold. He went rummaging around in his drawer for a couple of seconds, then cursed. “Mine’s not here either.”

“Well, sh-”

“Wait a minute,” he interrupted. “I can’t find you anymore…”

Your hopes had been crushed. For a moment, you’d thought Adam had found something related to the time, but he wasn’t even thinking about that anymore. You sighed. “Who’s fault is that?”

Adam only tried to kiss you in response. You figured this out when he asked, “Where’s your head?”

“Uhh.” You couldn’t think of a way to answer that. “I don’t know. Where’s YOUR head?”

“Right here,” Adam’s voice sounded right in front of you, making you flinch in surprise. You hadn’t been expecting him to be so close.

“Oh… I didn’t see you there.”

“Wow,” Adam whispered wryly. “It’s almost like… the lights are off.”

You chuckled halfheartedly. “Can… Can I go back to sleep now?” You wondered tiredly. You had work in the morning, and you would have loved to get some beauty sleep before then.

“Awe,” Adam sighed disappointedly. “You want to leave me in the darkness?”

“I want to go to sleep,” you retorted.

Adam stared at you - well in the general direction of you. “But I don’t want you to go…” he whispered.

“I’m not going anywhere. But you’ll have all the time in the world to talk to me tomorrow.”

“Wait,” Adam insisted.

“You should get some rest, too, you know,” you added.

“I’ll go back to sleep,” Adam assured you unconvincingly. “There’s something I want to do first…”

“What?”

“Come here,” Adam told you firmly.

Scoffing, you asked annoyedly, “How? How do you expect me to find you when I can barely see my hands in front of my own eyes?”

“Like this,” Adam leaned forward, using your voice to guide him, and then satisfyingly started kissing you - or was it so satisfying?

His mouth had NEARLY made it to yours, but it hadn’t overall. He had managed to find the corner of your mouth, but mostly your left cheek. You turned your head to the left, connecting your lips to his. You were finding this situation quite comedic, despite it being almost embarrassing.

You both shared a long kiss. Adam pushed you down so that you were on your back with your arms around his shoulders. “Are you SURE I can’t convince you to stay up with me?”

Instinctively you tilted your head back to look at the digital clock that was on your nightstand. It was blank, and you were reminded abruptly of the electricity being out. “Adam-”

Adam kissed you again, surprisingly getting on your lips this time. You could feel the smirk forming on his face. It made his kissing less aggressive but you enjoyed it. “Are you REALLY sure?”

Adam was starting to make you question your responsibility. You did have work in the morning, and sleep really would be beneficial for the both of you, but right now… you would easily stay awake with Adam… In other words, you weren’t sure you could not be convinced to stay awake with Adam. “Well,” you said sheepishly, a light blush covering your cheeks. It was invisible in the darkness. “I guess it won’t hurt this one time…”

Adam was thrilled with this revelation. He started kissing you again, but his lips were off centered. You laughed a little at this, and turned his head slightly to the right. “I’m HERE, baby.”

Faulkner grumbled, seemingly embarrassed. “Sorry. I can’t see what I’m doing.”

You put your hands in his hair. “No worries. I don’t mind.”

Adam slid his hands up your shirt, and you leaned further into the mattress, enjoying the feeling of his hands on your skin. You kissed him harder, deeper. You couldn’t even begin to express just how much you loved him - but damn it was certainly a lot.

The atmosphere had become heated by now. Your lips were moving fast, and your breathing was coming out in short intervals between kisses. When Adam spoke again, it was only to say, “I love you so much, Y/N.”

Your heart swelled happily at his words. You felt so warm every time he said them. “I love you so much, too,” you gasped back.

“How much later do you plan on staying up?”

You thought about it for a short moment. “Well, I should probably be going back to sl-”

Before the words had left your mouth, your phone started buzzing from somewhere beneath you. “What’s that?” Adam inquired.

“My alarm,” you muttered reluctantly. “Telling me I have work.” “Oh…” Adam sounded heartbroken. “You have to leave now?”

“Yeah.”

“Well, that sucks.”

Adam sat up, releasing you from his firm grasp, and allowed you to move around. You got on the floor and began feeling around for your phone. You found it under the bed, with fourteen percent of the battery. “Fuck!”

You were glad to see, however, the time! It was six AM. You couldn’t believe four hours had passed since waking up.

Adam crawled over. “What happened?”

You sat up, and ran into him. “Oof!”

Adam tumbled back. “Ow.”

“I’m sorry!” You exclaimed, getting to your feet and attempting to find the bed. You gave up halfway, and turned on your phone flashlight.

Finally, light was poured into the room. In the dim light of your phone flashlight, you could see Adam on his back, his head furthest away from you, with his hands over his face. The entire room was mostly covered in blackness still but at least you could see what was in front of you now. “Are you okay?”

Adam sat up. “Yeah. I think so… Thanks for the smack…”

You wandered over to the light switch and gave it a shove. You did not know what you had been expecting, but the lights all remained turned off. “I’m going to work,” you called over your shoulder.

Adam chased after you. “Wait!” He grabbed his flannel from off the floor, and slung it over his shoulders. “Don’t leave without breakfast.”

“Baby. I have breakfast on the way, silly.”

Adam scowled at you. “Okay, well, at least give me a hug.”

You rolled your eyes, but you pulled your boyfriend into a loving embrace. “Love you.”

“I love you, too.”

You made for the door hastily, not really intending to be in any kind of hurry, and stepped out of the apartment. You enjoyed working at your job, but… you would much rather be at home with Adam, and you weren’t going to deny it: you were excited for the time when you had to come home.

Early Sunday Morning - Adam Stanheight / Reader

It was Sunday, about six forty-five in the morning, the last day of the week. Thoughts and anxieties had woken you up. You floundered in the bed sheets futilely but couldn’t fall asleep again. You threw the covers off yourself, and flung your legs over the edge of the bed. The atmosphere was quiet and dull. A white light filtered through the big bedroom windows, the blinds folded shut. It was a chilly morning and you shivered as you got to your feet. It was cloudy outside, and the sun was just barely emerging from behind the large city buildings. You went to fix the blankets you messed up on the bed, and noticed Adam sleeping on the other side. You did not want to wake him so you gently brought the covers over your pillow. Adam rolled over, but didn’t open his eyes. Now he was facing you, his skin looking pale in the white light, and his whole expression peaceful and vulnerable. You heard the clock chime from the kitchen, and you glanced briefly in its direction. Adam twisted a little bit and you looked back at him. He was still fast asleep.

You turned away from the bed and padded into the bathroom. It was colder in here than it was in your bedroom. You stumbled to the bathtub and clumsily turned on the shower, you grabbed a clean towel from the cabinet, then waited for the water to warm. The remnants of your dream still haunted you a bit, but you proceeded to undress yourself, then stepped into the tub.

Hot water splashed on your face and rolled down your back. It soothed you and washed away all the horrors that still lurked in your mind from the night before. You let out a breath of relief, and leaned against the shower wall. You let your hair hang down in the water. It was so hot it burned you, but you liked it. ‘Scorching’ was better than just ‘hot’. The water relaxed your muscles, calmed your nerves, and allowed you to think clearly. The steam wafted up and warmed your face, it fogged the mirrors and the windows.

In your moment of bliss you missed the creak that came from the bathroom door, and the light swish of the shower curtain being pulled back. Someone came inside with you, and started bringing their hands up your back. You leaned into them, turning your head slightly to the left. “Adam…” you murmured.

“Morning…” Adam answered calmly in your ear.

“I didn’t mean to wake you, Adam,” you breathed out.

Adam leaned down and kissed you on the lips. He pulled you even closer to him and wrapped his hands around your waist. “It’s okay.” His warm breath passed over your lips. You put your head on his shoulder, and let the water roll over you.

Adam spun you around delicately so that you were facing him. He took in all your little details, and scanned your body up and down. You stared at him hesitantly, yet playfully, and waited for him to say something. “Like what you see?” You asked him wittily.

Adam raised an intrigued eyebrow at you. “Oh, definitely.” He pushed you against the wall, moving his head in close to yours. Your lips were nearly touching at this point, and you hummed out happily. “You look good,” he whispered.

“Oh, I’m sure. Doesn’t everyone think their significant other looks good without any clothes on?”

“I’ve seen other people without their clothes on,” Adam said simply. “And none of them compare to the beautiful sight in front of me right now.”

You scoffed. “You’re such a charmer.”

“I don’t know about that. You must be pretty good yourself, if you ended up in my dream last night.”

“Oh? What was I doing?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know?”

“I mean of course not, that’s why I asked. Because I didn’t want to know about your dream at all, so I asked about it,” you mumbled sarcastically.

Adam’s gaze flashed down to your mouth momentarily then came back up to yours. He narrowed his eyes at you flirtatiously, a small smile on his face. “You look rather kissable right now.”

You shrugged. “Well, I’m here aren’t I? Or would you prefer to wait a little longer?”

“Don’t play the Top game with me, Y/N.”

You smirked at him. “Why not, baby? You’ve been playing the Sub game ever since we started dating.”

Adam scowled at you. “I’ve gotten better.”

“You’ve gotten CONFIDENT. Being ‘confident’ and being ‘dominant’ are not the same thing.”

Adam eyed you miserably, knowing full-well that he had lost the argument. Knowing full-well that you were RIGHT.

“Are you going to kiss me?” You asked him finally. Adam’s mouth was only inches away from yours now, the close proximity was driving you mad. But Adam didn’t oblige. Instead, you asked again, “What happened in your dream, Adam?”

Adam looked at you halfheartedly, then struggled to say, “You… being dominant… Like usual.”

You rolled your head onto the wall, and looked at Adam from the side. “I’ll let you do it this time, then. You were right about one thing, you have gotten better at it.”

Adam grit his teeth. “Hardly. I learned from a professional.” He winked at you.

“If you won’t kiss me, I’ll kiss you,” you whispered firmly.

Adam stared at you. “Go ahead.”

Eagerly, you closed the gap between his mouth and yours, and started intensely making out. There was no lead up, no preparation, nothing. Just immediately to the point without any dilly-dallying.

Adam was kissing you hard, pressing into you, strongly pinning you to the wall. His hands left your waist and started rubbing your cheeks. There was no room between you and him. You were practically being squashed in between your boyfriend and your shower wall. But you liked it - a lot.

There was heat corrupting your face, steam clogging your nose and eyes, water drowning your skin, and butterflies flying in your stomach. You felt incredibly elated, your mind was numb. Adam’s lips on yours was such a miraculous feeling; it left a tingling in your lips and a rush of jubilation entering your brain. Maybe Adam was the submissive one, but he was a helluva good kisser. You couldn’t get enough of him.

You were out of breath by the time either of you stopped. Your lungs felt like they were burning, but everything else was high on adrenaline. You and your boyfriend stared into each other’s eyes deeply, both of you panting heavily into the other’s mouth.

After a couple seconds of winding down, Adam said, “Love you, Y/N.”

Your heart fluttered at his words. It made you feel good to hear him say that. You looked up at him, lacing your fingers in with his. “Love you, too.”

Adam reached for the shampoo on the shelf, keeping his eyes fixed on you, and then started to message your head. You gritted your teeth and fell against Adam’s chest, letting out a contented sigh. His skin was warm and soft. You closed your eyes and enjoyed feeling Adam’s firm hands on your scalp. He tenderly rocked your head into the stream of running water, making sure not to get any on your face. Scorching water trickled down your forehead and shoulders, and dripped from your hair.

When the shampoo was completely out of your hair, he backed away. You felt obliged to give him the same treatment, so you slathered some shampoo on your hands and combed your fingers through his hair. Adam smiled at you contentedly. “Hi…” he commented shyly.

“Hi,” you said sweetly, and pushed his head on to your shoulder. You felt Adam breathe out in satisfaction. You smiled, enjoying this way too much. Feeling Adam leaning on you for support was… honestly kind of hot… Then again, everything Adam did was… ‘honestly kind of hot’. He was so perfect.

A couple of minutes passed as you both finished bathing each other. This shower was probably the most efficient one you’d taken in your life; it had definitely felt good. Now that the water was off, you stared at the curtain dishearteningly. Neither of you wanted to get out into the cold. “Want to grab my towel?” You asked Adam hopefully. You batted your eyelashes at him in a joking manner, though you were slightly hoping it would work.

“No,” Adam said bluntly. “You want to get mine?”

“No.”

It was silent after that. Kissing broke out between you again, but only for a short moment. Then your phone rang. You looked back at the curtain. “You should do it,” you said playfully. “I’m too tired! I woke up before you did!”

Adam gave you a disapproving look. “Even I know that’s not true. Why don’t YOU get MY towel?”

“I’m not freezing my ass off for you.”

“I guess I won’t come to you when I’m stuck in a blizzard then,” Adam muttered dryly. “That’s good news, thank you.”

You elbowed him in the ribs. “Knock it off! I didn’t mean it.”

“Then go out there and grab a towel.”

“Look, it’s not my fault you didn’t bring one over.”

“You didn’t either,” Adam retorted.

“Well, at least I got mine OUT,” you replied smartly.

Adam pushed you through the curtain. “Get out of here.”

You fell down in a pile of hands and feet onto the linoleum bathroom floor, but not before grasping Adam’s hand in your own, and bringing him tumbling out with you. You were sprawled halfway out of the bathtub on your stomach. Adam was also halfway out of the tub, laying on his stomach.

You let out a yelp of surprise, and Adam let out an exclamation of disgust. But you yourself were proud.

Epic plan gone wrong… You thought to yourself complacently.

“If I go, you go, baby. That’s how it works,” you told Adam smoothly.

Adam gasped, then seemed to find his positioning on top of you quite pleasing, and leaned his mouth to your ear. “Of course,” he purred seductively. “I wouldn’t have it any other way. You know I’d never leave you to suffer all alone.” You felt his warm breath travel down your cheek. It made you giddy.

You chuckled nervously. “A-Adam…”

“What’s that you said about being the top?”

You huffed. “I didn’t say that. Did I say that? Hmmm, strange things happen to the bottoms, don’t they?”

“Right. Like their conceited personalities.”

“Don’t get cocky,” you said in a low tone.

Adam got up. “I’m fucking cold. Thanks, Y/N.”

You shrugged. “You felt warm to me.”

Adam chucked your towel at you. “Happy?”

You started drying your hair. “Yes…” you mumbled cheerily.

Adam shook his head in disbelief, and sat next to you on the floor. He was also tussling his hair with a towel, but he didn’t need to; it was too short for that. You beamed at him, feeling the close proximity eating you alive.

Once both of you had hung up your towels, Adam pulled you into a tight embrace, in which he started leaving little kisses down your cheeks and jaws. You squirmed in his grasp, a big smile on your lips and also a bright blush on your cheeks. You both laughed a little, and then you tried to pry Adam away. “Stop!” You gasped.

“Why so eager to leave me? Do you have to be somewhere? Are you seeing someone else?” Adam shot you a look full of fake hurt. “How could you?”

“No, no, no, no, no!” You blurted desperately. “It’s not like that! I don’t want to leave YOU, I want to leave this cold bathroom!”

Adam released you, a smug smile on his face. “Okay. I can deal with that. It’s very cold in here.”

You made a beeline for the dresser in the room over. You flung open the drawers, and pulled out your favorite things to where - preferably the most comfortable. You saw Adam come up beside you and pull out a white shirt, and a pair of jeans.

What else did he wear? The plaid flannel that was on the edge of the bed? Sadly, you were right. You mocked him for it, but Adam laughed with you.

“I know what works baby, why would I find something else to buy when I know that white T-shirts and jeans are comfortable?”

You sighed, and laid on the bed, your face towards the ceiling, when your stomach decided it was time to eat something. It announced it very loudly, and embarrassingly. Adam cast you an astonished look. “Hungry?”

You scrunched your nose at him indignantly. “Maybe I’m a little hungry?”

“You want leftovers?” Adam wondered worriedly.

You glanced at him nervously. “Yeah…” You murmured.

There weren't enough leftovers for two people. You both knew this and scrambled to your feet, racing for the door, each of you trying to be faster and smarter than the other. In a laughing fit, you and Adam made it to the fridge at the same time, therefore declaring it a tie and resolutely forcing both of you to split the meal in half. At the end of it all though, you ended up having to make waffles to satisfy the remaining hunger.

Oh what a morning. Today was going to be great! You couldn’t wait for next week.

Tease - Adam Stanheight / Reader

It was midnight, in the middle of July. Long, dark, shadows stretched across the living room floor and into the kitchen. The atmosphere had a somber feeling to it, as everything around you was shrouded in mystery and blackness. You trudged delicately over the rug and wood, found yourself standing outside the apartment and stared around in awe. Your neighbors were all asleep, not one of them was making a peep. But outside, on the staircase, you could see the golden shine of the porch light, and the chilly mist swirling 'round and 'round; you knew that there was someone else awake. It was dark out here, but the little light you had from the porch was enough to guide your way. Down the hall, down the stairs, to the door... outside.

It was cool but not cold; summer was like that sometimes. The wind was icy, and the clouds carried the scent of rain. You shivered on the doorstep, you were only in thin pajama shorts and tank top; it didn't do much to cover you from the chill. Next to you was Adam. He was sitting on the last step, looking up at the sky. Of course, you were not surprised to see, the cigarette in the corner of his mouth. You took in his loose, white T-shirt, and blue jeans, as well as his dark hair, and the way the light reflected off it mildly. You stared at him for a long time, feeling content. You wondered how he could look so good without having to try. Adam though, would disagree with you in that regard.

You joined him on the bottom step and gazed up into the sky. You had been planning on keeping the silence, but Adam didn't take the hint. He looked at you and smiled, “Aren't you cold?”

You shrugged back, and hummed a quiet ‘Yes’.

Adam lifted his flannel up from his lap, and hung it around your shoulders. You put your arms through the sleeves gladly, and pulled it closer to you. It was slightly too big, but you liked the looseness of it. Adam wrapped an arm around your waist as you asked, “Aren’t you?”

Your boyfriend took a drag on his cigarette and then blew the smoke back out into the sky. “I think it feels nice. I’m actually kinda hot.”

You smirked, realizing the circumstances of your boyfriend. “You don’t need to convince me,” you replied hastily and leaned in. You pressed a quick kiss to his cheek, and then returned your gaze to the night sky.

The stars twinkled - white and shiny - and accompanied the navy blue atmosphere. You could make out some of the constellations and you admired them with Adam for a long time until a low rumble rolled through the clouds. You brought your eyes back over to the grey clouds on the horizon and you narrowed your eyes at them. “Hmmm,” you muttered. “Thunderstorm?”

Adam leaned back on the stairs, adjusting his cigarette with his teeth. “Well damn. It’s such a perfect night.”

You gazed at him happily. You didn’t know how something as contagious as a cigarette could make someone look so much more attractive. You studied him for a long time, a finger messaging your lips and your other palm holding up your chin. Adam kept his face forward, the light shining on him magnificently, casually smoking from his cigarette. After a while, you couldn’t contain yourself. Adam was so perfect, so… kissable…

You kissed him promptly on the lips, and Adam fumbled with his cigarette clumsily as he tried not to interrupt you. You closed your eyes, to get a better experience. Adam took a final, quick, drag on his cigarette, and blew the smoke into your mouth. It was your fault of course, because you had kissed him when he least expected it, but still, he could have been a little more considerate.

Gagging, you pulled away, the taste of smoke filling you up and stinging the back of your throat. You swallowed a couple of times, trying to get the flavor out of your mouth. “Thanks…” You muttered sarcastically. “You should try putting the cigarette down sometimes.”

Adam inhaled on his cigarette a couple more times. “Hang on, baby… I need this.”

You sat back and watched him. By now it was probably three in the morning. Three hours had never flown by so fast ever before in your life. The clouds were still far off, but they had been steadily moving closer. The thunder had started picking up slowly, but it still wasn’t close enough to be bothersome.

“I’m sorry,” Adam choked. You could hear the effect of his smoking coming out in his voice and you shook your head in disapproval. “I couldn’t go to sleep.”

“Why?” You asked him. Adam looked at you, revealing his pale face. “Something’s wrong.”

Adam snuggled up against you. “Anxious.”

You put your chin on his head, and slid your arms under his own, and wrapped them around his stomach. “Don’t worry. I’m right here.”

Adam leaned onto you and you both continued to watch the sky. A long time passed before Adam eventually stubbed out his cigarette on the cement stairs. You rolled your eyes playfully - not that it mattered, Adam couldn’t see you anyway - and remarked sarcastically, “I get the sense you have more affection for your bad habit than you do for me.”

Adam turned a disgusted look on you, and raised his cigarette up to pretend to flick it at you. “That’s not true, you know that. I love you more than anything. Without you, I don’t think I would have made it this far.”

You raised your hands up to Adam’s face and combed your fingers through his hair. “I love you, too, baby.”

Adam kissed you unexpectedly. He was gentle but also assertive. You smiled against his lips, gasping, and tried to kiss back. Your lips would not match with Adam’s roughness though, and eventually he took dominance.

You relaxed into him, and clasped your hands with his hands. Adam’s flannel began to slip from your shoulder but you liked the way it felt. It caused the cool air to hit it constantly and sent chills up your arm all the way to your neck. You felt Adam’s warm hand slip from yours and go straight to your cheek, where it lingered for a long time. His hand was soft as it calmly caressed you. It left after a while to comb your hair, stroke your arm, and then pull his flannel back over your shoulder, never once taking his lips off of yours.

You let out a contented sigh in the middle, and grabbed his hands tighter. Adam pulled away and bit his lower lip nervously, seemingly satisfied with himself. Your lips still held a strange tingling from Adam’s kissing, and you struggled to keep yourself from pulling him in and kissing him again. You tried to look like you were okay with this.

Adam stood up and said softly, “I’m going to get rid of this,” he twisted the cigarette between his thumb and pointer finger. He patted you on the head, and disappeared inside.

You gritted your teeth frustratedly and stared after him miserably, somehow feeling like you hadn’t accomplished anything from that make-out session. Ruffled, you got to your feet, your clothes feeling extra tight. You huffed, and looked one last time out at the sky.

Dawn was breaking. Streaks of silver and rose-pink were starting to color the sky and cover up the gleaming stars. You wished the night wouldn’t end yet, but you knew that time would always move on and there was no point in dawdling.

As you climbed the stairs to your shared apartment with Adam, your body was still feeling the result of Adam’s kissing. You wished Adam hadn’t left so suddenly and that you both were still outside making-out.

Adam was waiting for you when you walked in, he had a knowing smile on his face, and he said smugly, “Took you long enough, especially for what I’ve done to you. Come on, I know you want me.”

You frowned at him in annoyance. “Damn you.”

Adam tipped his head. “What? Can’t handle the heat?” There was an underlying flirtiness to his voice. It excited you.

“You know all the right things to say,” you whimpered unhappily.

Adam gestured you over with his pointer finger. You approached willingly. “That’s better,” he said quietly as he dropped his mouth to yours. You lifted your head up to his, trying to close the gap between your mouths. Adam turned his head away. “Eager?”

You let out a huff. “No,” you lied. “Go on. Do what you will.” You were planning on NOT embarrassing yourself the next time.

Of course, Adam knew exactly what to do. He pushed you down to the couch and straddled you. “That was a lie,” he said authoritatively. “And yes. I will, thank you.” He kissed you, and you greeted him vehemently. You wanted more of this. This was perfect…

By now the room was entirely dark, no lights were there to cast shadows inside. The previous somber feeling was replaced with a fearful vibe, like some horror show might be lurking behind any corner, but for you there was another atmosphere - and you were enjoying it, definitely.

The night was nearly over, five forty-five, and the early-rising sun scared away any remaining stars in the world. The light was slowly becoming stronger and outside there were birds singing, but even so, night wouldn’t be over for a good long while yet.

Laser Tag - Adam Stanheight / Submissive Reader

A/N there was a prompt online that inspired this. I wanted to write two, one with a sub reader and one with a dom reader. Both are written and finished, but the dominant one will be posted tmrw to give this one some time to be seen first. Thank you and please enjoy.

-

You stood in the dark room tensely. The band around your head was tight, the watch around your wrist was itchy, and the laser gun was heavy in your hands. Nervousness was churning in your stomach. You were playing a game of laser tag with Adam Stanheight. It seemed a little odd, though. Instead of asking him out, you just sorta… took him here…

You had never been good with words. You simply said, “Let's play laser tag,” and proceeded to take him to the nearest game. He was very comfortable with this. He was also the kind of person that easily went-with-the-flow. You weren’t even sure what brought up the subject of laser tag, all you knew was that you were here right now.

“So, the headband displays your lives to other players, and lets you know when you’ve been shot.” you muttered to yourself. “The watch displays your lives to yourself. And the laser gun is for… shooting… obviously…”

Though you were here with your boyfriend, you still felt self-conscious. You could be competitive sometimes and you aimed to win this match of laser tag. Through your anxiety, you had some sort of bravery. You were pretty sure you could win against him, but you would have to be clever. You would have to be careful. There was nothing stopping you from winning though.

The air felt chilly, and smelled musty. The long, tinted, windows at the top of the walls shed some light into the arena. Everything was dim inside and you could barely make out the looming walls ahead of you. You took a deep breath and then walked into the room.

The ceiling peaked high above you, making the arena look larger. It was just you and Adam playing. Somehow he had managed to convince the owner to let you get a private game. You were thankful for that because it meant that you wouldn’t have anyone else to judge you. Not to mention, you would have Adam all to yourself, and there would be no competitors.

You rounded one of the corners, holding the laser up, searching the darkness for movement. There was nothing that you could see, and you flounced into the hallway. You were isolated, but you felt like you were being watched. Adam was so perfect at everything, you didn’t doubt that he was watching.

You walked to the end, which was split into a T. Halfheartedly, you turned left, staying close to the wall. Your boyfriend was somewhere in here, but it disconcerted you that you couldn’t see him. Being away from Adam made you feel slightly concerned. You wanted to be as close to him as possible just for the reassurance that you were not alone. However you knew that for the purpose of the game you were supposed to stay away from each other.

Now you could see half walls surrounding yourself in a semicircle, with a wide open entrance leading back into the arena. The arena was oval shaped and stretched far, far, out of your vision. There were a few half walls spread throughout the arena. You hung back nervously, scanning the darkness.

I can win this, you told yourself firmly. I just have to sneak up. How the hell am I going to do that? I have a boyfriend who’s paranoia is as sensitive as a bat’s hearing.

You crept out of the cover of your hideout, and spun around dizzily, trying to catch everything in the corners. Nothing spoke out to you, but this was a giant arena, seeing as it was supposed to hold ten people and not two.

A shuffle was heard to the right, and you spun around. No one else was here, so that meant Adam was close by, right? Unsatisfyingly - and very anticlimactically - you felt the headband buzz once. You grunted, as you saw a light flicker off on your watch. Now it was showing two red lights, not three.

Shit. I’ve been shot! You couldn’t believe someone was shooting at you. Where the hell was Adam? He was the only person capable of doing so when there wasn’t anyone else in the room. I still have two lives left though.

As if on cue, there was another buzz, and then another light flashed off on the watch. You stared at your wrist in disappointment, then looked around. On a platform, standing rigidly, with a laser gun pointed steadily at you, was your beloved boyfriend. He appeared smug and relaxed. He tried to shoot again but you sidestepped. In a huff, you said, “How was that fair?”

Adam leapt down majestically, landing on his feet amazingly. You gaped at him in awe. “Want to finish face to face?”

“I was going to win…” You mumbled sadly.

Adam stared at you, then raised his hands above his head. “You still can.”

“But I don’t want you to LET me win.”

Adam raised an eyebrow at you, lowering his hands back down. “You mean, like how you let me win?”

“I didn’t LET you win,” you snapped. “You snuck up on me… Which I was trying to do…”

Adam scoffed. “Right. You were trying to sneak up on YOURSELF?”

“N-No. I meant I was sneaking up on YOU,” you gasped, flustered.

Adam looked at you, unimpressed. “Cute.”

You glared at him indignantly, and raised up your laser. You aimed and shot. Adam let you shoot him. His headband flashed, and then only two lives were remaining. You scowled at him. “This isn’t what I had in mind when I suggested we play laser tag.”

Adam leaned in, so that his nose was practically touching yours. “What did you have in mind? That I waltz right into your line of sight? Clearly we know who DOES do that.”

You gazed down. “I had no way of knowing you were there.”

Adam lifted your head up with his pointer finger. “Don’t feel bad, Y/N. It’s just a game. We can play another one when we get home…” he winked at you, backing away. “You can win that one…”

You felt warm at his words. They held a slight… excitement…

You looked into his eyes shyly, grumbling. “But… that’s not fair, Adam…”

“Let’s see if you can last, then. Can you take the rest of my lives? I could win this game perfectly well right now.”

You squeaked, holding up your laser gun. Your hands were shaking, causing the front of your gun to be unsteady. Carefully, you thought.

Nervously, you adjusted your aim on the gun. You missed Adam only because he dodged. It was his turn, and you felt your heart sink. He was totally going to destroy you. He had lined up a good shot, though you had made a point to sit down behind one of the half walls. Hopefully it would be harder for him to hit you if you were behind something.

You crawled to the left of the wall, Adam would be looking at the right side. You lined up a shot, and took it. Adam’s headband flashed wildly.

Adam turned towards you instinctively. He fired a shot at you, but you ducked, and rolled to the side. You waited a moment, before leaping up and firing at Adam. Your laser beam sliced across the air, but didn’t quite connect with Adam. You saw Adam aiming a shot to your left, and you waited for the last second to dive into one of the hallways. You started crawling silently on your hands and knees, trying to navigate your way around the black corridor.

Two to two… I can do this! We both have one life remaining now.

You crept slowly up the hallway, until you had to face Adam again. You had followed the hall up onto a platform. Adam was waiting at the bottom, he was trying to keep tabs on you, but you had outsmarted him this time. He was spinning clumsily in the middle of the arena. The corridor continued again at the other side of the platform, which was open to the arena. You would have to run for it.

“That was well played, Y/N. I’ve lost you.” There was an amused tone in Adam’s voice.

You stayed there quietly, hiding from your boyfriend. You knew he was faster than you, so you didn’t want to reveal yourself too quickly, but Adam was making his way up the stairs on the other side of you. You didn’t have long before he found you, at that point you would be defeated. Hastily, you made a beeline across the platform, your shoes alerting Adam to yourself.

He stopped, turned around, and stayed on the ground. There was a series of rapid fire between the two of you for a few moments. Adam kept nearly getting hits off you, but you would dodge them narrowly by jumping or rolling. No matter how hard you tried, all your shots never quite made it close to hitting him. You were unhappy with this state of affairs. Your heart was hammering at the end.

Neither of you made a hit, and Adam ended up disappearing into a dark hall, much to your confusion.

“Adam! Where are you going?” You called out. You sat down behind the wall, and stared after him, keeping watch of the arena. You were not dumb enough to follow him. That would just lead to an instant loss. But Adam didn’t return to the main arena. You were baffled. What was he doing? The fight was being held right here.

The arena remained empty for a long time. You started to get impatient, and restless. You were half tempted to leap down and reveal yourself just so you could see Adam again. But the other half wanted to stay put. You were going to win this battle. You were, not Adam!

I can do this, you thought confidently. If I try hard enough.

But the longer you waited the more unnerved you became. Adam wouldn’t leave you like that, would he? What the hell was happening right now? You were playing a game of laser tag, not Hide’n’Seek!

Gloomily, you turned back around. “Adam?” You called out quietly. “Adam, did you leave me?”

As you turned, you heard Adam say from right behind you, “Hi, baby.” Your hair stood on end, and you raised your hands up. Adam gave you a flirtatious smile, and you melted. “Look where I’ve got you.”

You hummed out happily.

“And don’t even think about that. I would never leave you all alone. Come one, baby, you’re smarter than that.”

Adam leaned his head down to yours and you sank down, trying to get out of the heat. But Adam kissed you roughly on your lips. You pushed your elbows into the hard metal ground, and leaned up to him. His lips were warm and soft. He wasn’t kissing you all that hard; he knew how to get you worked up. You moaned into his mouth desperately. Adam shoved you further into the metal floor, overpowering you entirely. You dropped your weapon, and wrapped your arms around his neck. “Adam…” you mumbled around his lips. Adam pulled away just as it was getting intense. He liked doing that.

“Hmm? You like this?”

You nodded weakly from underneath him.

Adam looked at your form, then grinned at you. “Why don’t we finish this at home?”

You pulled Adam down. “No… Keep going…”

Adam frowned at you in disapproval. “I’m sorry, Y/N, but does this laser tag arena look like our bedroom to you?”

You whimpered, getting the point that he was making.

Adam kissed you again. He caressed your cheek with his free hand, then took the gun with his other. You felt him place the point of his laser gun onto your chest, and you flattened yourself to the floor. This was it. This was how you lost.

Your headband buzzed and your watch flashed out. You groaned as Adam pulled away. Your mouth tingled with the feeling of his mouth on yours, and your body could feel his weight on top of you. You stared dizzily at Adam as he walked away.

You huffed, and staggered to your feet, tripping after your boyfriend. Adam was already out the door, and you followed him slowly. You handed your laser tag gear to the man waiting at the door. You could see the monitors on the wall, overlooking the arena. The security guard had a look of disgust on his face, but he didn’t complain to you as you left the room. He’d had to watch that.

Adam was outside, waiting. He scooped you up immediately as you came out. You looked at him dishearteningly, wrapping your legs around his waist. “What?” You asked timidly. You were very disappointed with the results of this laser tag game.

“You played really well in there,” Adam complimented seductively.

You blushed, and looked away. You didn’t know where he was going with this. “Thank you?”

Adam seemed to like your shyness. He nuzzled your nose with his. “Want to play another game when we get home?”

His breath drifted across your face, and you couldn’t look at him. “What… What kind of game?” You inquired apprehensively.

“You don’t need to ask THAT,” Adam purred softly. “You can win this one, easy.”

“What game, Adam?”

“Come with me,” Adam said casually, nodding his head towards the car.

Your heart fluttered at his words, and you finally started to get the message. His way of being vague to get his point across was so hot… “Oh, Adam… you don’t mean it like THAT?”

Adam lifted his mouth to your ear. “Try me,” he whispered playfully.

You shivered. This man knew how to play with your feelings. Fuck! “L-Let’s go home.”

Adam narrowed his eyes on you. “Be good for me, okay?” He commanded you enticingly. “And you can win this time.”

You struggled in Adam’s grasp, feeling dirty. “Okay. Okay…”

Adam dropped you to your feet, and guided you back to the car. He was whispering things in your ear, and it made you feel good.

What’s going to happen at home? You wondered. Adam was driving this time, and you looked over at him. His hands were on the steering wheel, and his face was calm as he took you home. The later events that were coming up were not meant for outdoors. But you did not discover this until Adam was ushering you into the bedroom, and closing the door behind himself. While no more details could be supplied, there was one thing that could be assumed: You were definitely the one being dominated, and Adam wouldn’t have it any other way.

Love Me - Adam Stanheight / Reader

A/N So, another song-inspired fanfic, lol, someone help.

We Found Love - by Rihanna.

Yellow, orange, and purple black light, laser-beams fanned the entire room, making the crowd scream in excitement. The walls had some kind of glow in the dark paint or wallpaper on them - you couldn't tell which - but sure enough they were glowing pink and blue, and yellow diamonds flashed wildly across the ceiling and floor. People surrounded you on all sides, noise blasted you from every direction, smoke filled your nose, alcohol stung your throat and caused you nausea, your eyes were wet, your jeans were sticky, and your palms and forehead were sweaty. You stared into the dark, spacious, room drunkenly. The moon cast its light directly behind you, casting your shadow onto the dark floor. You watched as a second shadow - taller, thinner - moved across yours. Your companion came up beside you casually, his walking clumsy; he'd been drinking. You laced your fingers in with your companion's. He tightened his grip on your hand. Outside, it was raining, and the wind howled and gave you chills, you pressed yourself closer to him; he had his arm around your waist. Your head hurt from all the alcohol you'd been pounding earlier.

Your heart hammered in your chest as you both huddled next to each other, shielding one another from the pouring rain. The heat wafting from inside reached you and helped to keep you warm. Your emotions were so laid back at the moment that you felt very underwhelmed, though at the same time, everything pulsed through you. You could barely form a single coherent thought. Was it the alcohol or was it HIS presence causing the blockage? You wanted to say something, but no words could be found; your mind was just blank. You allowed yourself to relax into your partner's caress. You were too nervous to be worried, all you wanted was to enjoy this. If only you didn't feel like you were walking on a tight rope above broken shards of glass; fragile, exposed. You clutched him closer and felt relief at the action; you waited to do this your whole life - or what seemed like it. Letting out a heavy sigh, you decided to come to terms with these feelings. There was no denying this.

You were head-over-heels for Adam Faulkner Stanheight.

Adam let out a long breath before leaning away. He stared into the sky and let the rain fall on his face. It was silent between you, but you didn't mind. Your voice would surely break from all the shrieking earlier. But the quietness was welcome; you liked it, wanted it. Eventually, you spot someone exiting. They looked familiar, an ex perhaps? As they approached, they greeted you wholeheartedly. "Y/N." The newcomer didn't even cast one look at Adam. "What are you doing all by yourself? I thought you weren't one for partying."

You glanced at Adam and shrugged happily. You'd attend anything if you were with him, even if it meant breaking the law. Still you didn't speak.

"Come on. Don't leave me all alone here." They stretched their arm out to you invitingly, and started to tread back into the building. "Join me. Don't spend it sadly looking in."

You turned your head away. "I don't need you," you found your voice. "I have-" You stopped yourself, suddenly aware of Adam watching you closely. There was a knowing, amused, glint in his eyes. You could feel your emotions spike dramatically with just one look from him. Your heart melted, and started to beat faster, harder, louder; you could almost feel it in your chest, hear it in your ears. A sliver of slithering adrenaline scalded you on the inside stirring up your stomach even more. You made eye contact with Faulkner, and held it for a long time. It was the best moment ever.

You couldn't stop yourself from drawing nearer, despite already being too close. You could feel heat rising in your cheeks, or was it the hot temperature coming from inside? It was definitely not the coolness from outside! Either way, the intoxicant was beginning to hit you hard now. You were losing control of yourself and your actions; being so close to Adam was probably not a good thing. You leaned in hesitantly, grabbing Adam's cheeks gently between your two hands and turning his head towards you. In an unconsciousness, you pulled Adam in. Your lips quivered, but not out of nervousness just out of bravery. It was like watching yourself from third view. Your body was moving for you, your mind was simply following along.

In a matter of seconds his thin, soft, lips, were on yours. They were tentative and unsure, but you kissed strongly, confidently; like you had nothing to lose. You found yourself pinning Adam up against the wall, shoving your hands in his hair and pulling his head back a little bit. As Adam wrapped his arms around your neck, you pressed closer. Now you could feel Adam's heartbeat against your chest. It was moving fast. So was yours.

Emotions weren't even thrilling through you anymore. All you could keep track of were your thoughts, which were spiraling wildly into chaos; pretty soon you wouldn't even have those to restrict yourself.

Love me, you thought. Love me, please. I need you.

Adam pulled away. "That won't be hard."

Panic pulsed through you immensely, realizing that you had spoken out loud. You blushed deeply and backed away, feeling super insecure suddenly. Adam pulled you back. "Where are you going?" Adam wondered.

You started kissing him again, unable to believe your situation. Holy hell, were you making out with Adam!? Your long-time friend? Maybe you were more than friends now? Maybe. Maybe.

If only you had the confidence to ask...

You pulled back as the laser beams started fanning the room again. You gazed at them tiredly, and let yourself rest your head on Adam's shoulder. Adam held you there and watched then lights flash with you. The yellow diamonds presented themselves once more. They spun, dove, and crashed into things right in front of your eyes, making you dizzy - or was it the alcohol? You sighed out happily, humming along to the song on the radio.

"I think I really like you," Adam mumbled.

"I think I love you," you responded almost instantaneously. You were far too gone now to care about your word choices. But it didn't matter, Adam was as well.

Adam's voice was so quiet you had to strain to hear him, but his words made you feel warm and fuzzy. You clutched his hand desperately. "Me too," he said seriously.

You leaned into him slowly, cautiously, and warily you began another make-out session. You were excited. It would be different this time knowing now that you both felt the same way. The beat started up, the lights flashed, and the diamonds spun crazily, but you couldn't care less about any of it. In fact, neither of you should even be here right now, seeing as you weren't even partying anymore. The alcohol was taking over your mind completely now, and you careened into Adam. The rush was overwhelming! You gasped then dove in; promptly, resolutely, with a strong amount of passion, you kissed Adam again. And this time, it was definitely more than just a kiss.

Hi... I'm new... I'm so nervous, but It's twelve forty in the morning, and I am feeling confident? What's that about? Well, I just wanted to let people know that I'm here! Hi! Welcome!

I like to write, so that's what this account is. Probably mostly fanfiction. I like writing readers specifically. And I recently watched the SAW movies, which were amazing, highly recommend. But I kinda fell in love with Adam Faulkner so... I'll be writing about him. But please excuse me for any delays. I have social anxiety, so working up courage will be hard. But I will still do it.

BTW I'm nervous AF, right now, but I am just doing it, otherwise I would never have done it. So, yeah... Please enjoy my stuff... which doesn't exist yet, so... good luck... :)
