[♡] he felt so upset by how it was almost the fourth consecutive night that he had to cancel your usual dinners together. work was beating his ass but at least he was trained to endure it, and at the end of the day, the only thing that truly made his heart feel heavy, was the fact that you'd probably end up feeling sad and disappointed by his unavailability and complications of his work schedule, something that no matter the situation he had no control of.

it had certainly been a problem before, and he can recall a fair share of girls who ended up resenting him for it, and even if he tried to convince himself that you're really different from them, the lack of confidence on your relationship itself still made his shoulders feel heavy. would this relationship fail too?

as he finally got out of the building, tie on his hand and the first few buttons of dress shirt undone, he spotted you on the seats near the fountain, waving at him with the biggest smile on your face.

"joonie!" he only had a few seconds to react because you were right by his side in less than a moment, linking your arms together and your eyes looking at him like he was the most precious thing to see. it made him instantly blush. "i brought you food! you're working so hard" you gush at him, stopping the walk to give him a smooch on his cheek, the blush on his face intensifying.

"are you okay?" he hadn't had the chance to speak but his heart started racing when you looked at him with worry in your eyes, scanning his face and smoothing his hair with your warm hands.

the dimple smile he gave you brought butterflies to your stomach. "i'm so glad you're here" carefully grabbing your wrist, he gives you the faintest most delicate kiss there and finally links both of your hands together, decided on walking to the car that was parked not too far from there, instantly asking you about your day, wanting to know everything about it.

[♡] the night felt so young. the fresh air outside already felt magical and overwhelming in the most positive of ways; the slight breeze and the light jokes going around flying through them made the night feel so alive. tonight, jungkook cannot seem to let go of you, (just like any other moment the both of you spend together) but this time around he just shows how much he's missed you over these past few weeks, while still enjoying being in the company of his best friends. you just know he's so happy; by the way his eyes seem to shine brighter than ever and his giggles make an appearance for the majority of the time tonight.

it was inevitable to feel colder than ever after spending a few hours outside though. even if you tried to ignore the goosebumps on your skin (obviously just to stay longer besides your boyfriend) your constant yawns and how heavy your head felt from how tired you were, made it impossible to stay focused.

even if jungkook was engrossed in a simple conversation with one of his friends, he still noticed you struggling to stay awake. in an incredibly comforting and effortless way, he makes sure to bring you closer to his chest, the jacket that was sitting on his shoulders a few moments ago, now surrounding your body. it was a matter of time until you felt cold again though, your silky skirt not giving that extra warmth you absolutely needed to not interrupt the great night you both were having.

looking up, you take a moment to look closely at his pretty face. you're in utter awe from seeing how pretty he looks; how every single detail, from the scar on his cheek you've kissed so many times, to his pretty eyes that look at you with nothing but deep appreciation and unconditional love. you're so in love with him. there's this joke that namjoon tells that has him almost rolling to the ground and his eyes twinkling in the most heart warming of ways. he's pretty. pretty, pretty, pretty.

he looked the happiest too, and that's why you didnt want to let this night go; that's why the first time he asks if you want to go home, you completely deny it, insisting on staying for a little longer.

but there aren't many more tries until jungkook insists on taking you, at least, back into his best friend's house to sleep at the guest room, at least until the high wore off and he could drive the both of you home. you're too weak to resist on his offer. he makes sure to guide you with his warm hand through the stairs and corridors and he makes sure to help you get into the guest bed, choosing to lay down for a while with you. you let yourself be pampered even though if it was another you tonight you'd be complaining about him treating you like a baby.

his eyes demonstrate how you're his number one priority and his delicate fingers that help you fall asleep show consideration and dedication. his actions show you that even if the both of you were initially hanging out with all of your friends, nothing was as important as the both of you. he always prioritized your well-being just like you did with his. none of you are in a hurry; but you don't want to keep him even longer to yourself so you try to fall asleep faster, even though his intoxicating and incredibly delicious cologne was making it so difficult to concentrate. you have all the time in the world anyways, and he makes sure to remind you of that instead of paying attention to the screams downstairs of your friends who were already calling for the both of you.

he stays right beside you at all times and his mouth stays glued to your cheek, loving kisses being well received by you and your fluttering heart, while your free hand caresses his hand sitting right by the dip of your waist. who wouldn't fall asleep like this? you give up less than ten minutes later and even in your dreams, you show resistance when he tries to let go. jungkook has spoiled you in the most marvellous and addicting of ways, there's simply no way back.

gentle promises of coming back being left right by your ear are enough for your grip to let go so that he can get up, and he does, not before leaving as much kisses as he can. with one last look he turns the light off, gently and slowly closing the door just enough, finally leaving.

he knows his friends and hours of teasing are waiting for him once he comes back outside, but he doesn't really care about it. and as he sneaks to turn the volume of the music down, he takes all of the screams and the complains of his best friends, just as he expected, with a sheepish smile.

[♡] there's no point on denying how you still struggled to let your guard down even when the both of you were alone. you were 2-months into the relationship yet it still felt like every day you spent with him was one of your first ones. your hand still didn't feel confident enough to take his, and feeling his hand on your waist at night after one of your dinner dates still made you giggle like a school girl and blush like a tomato.

and tonight, first night spent between the both of you, you are taking a few more minutes looking at the mirror making sure the pajamas you'd carefully chosen weren't too revealing. you had turned around in the mirror at least a thousand times to make sure you didn't have your whole butt out (just a sneaky peek), arranged your hair in a way that the apple of your cheeks didn't look to big or your nose too long, and hid the little armpit fat you'd grown to hate so much. you had never tried that much for someone; not for anyone actually. but this time around you were so in love... so in love. you were nervous, nervous because you still didn't know how deep his love for you was, and if it was unconditional. but at the end of the day you knew he would only see perfection in what you see as imperfections. it's crazy enough to feel so elated because of love, and you mentally slapped yourself for overthinking so much to make yourself crazier.

and it turns out that even if you come out with your previously worn clothes in your arms to hide your body from him, he still looks at you with a smile that makes you think "fuck it" and leave your clothes on the floor forgotten just to feel his arms around you in his really expensive and comfortable bed.

with a certain nod from his friend, the one who was tattooing him ever since his skin met ink for the first time, you went inside the room, deciding that the little stool in the corner was enough, still nervous about seeing him in such a vulnerable way. you knew his tattoos were important and super personal to him, something you rarely talked about because he was entitled to have a little privacy about them, and it made you feel flattered, almost honored in a way to be allowed in something that for him can be so precious.

jungkook easily took his shirt off for the tattoo artist to be able to easily access the inner part of his bicep, only for you to cover the other half of his body, scared of his skin turning even whiter because of how cold it was in here, making the both of them laugh at how protective you can be. the security camera in the corner, almost too near the chair he was sitting in, turning into your temporary enemy.

and even if you were holding too much stuff, like your heavy coat and his, both of your bags and his phone and yours, you still scrambled to be even closer to him to just hold his hand when he reached out for you.. smiling at seeing him a bit drowsy from the whole thing. the almost sleepy smile he gave you while grabbing your hand made you feel dizzy from how crazy the butterflies in your stomach started to turn. you were so in love with him.

one of the best rituals a couple can have is definitely night time after a long day being away from each other, and having him every night as your companion made you feel extremely happy and at ease, ready to seek full relaxation right by his side.

he seems to take on your good mood and smiles to himself, turning around on his side to properly look at you when you sit by his side. "what?" you ask, avoiding his gaze to not giggle in shyness. he still had that effect on you. so you make yourself busy by quickly moisturizing your legs. "and you're too" you quickly peck his lips before settling in bed, leaving your phone on the bedside table to finally get closer to him. he wastes no time on settling on top of you, his face lowering to sniff your hair in the most exaggerated of ways just to get an inevitable cackle from you. your arms try to get him away from you while you laugh, but you simply know that he won't budge. his mouth and his hot breath near your skin makes you move your head to the side to stop him from going further and stop the tingling feeling on your skin, but jungkook was already an expert when it came to you, and one thing you couldn't do was escape from his irresistible kisses.

he has you screeching his name when he playfully bites one of your clavicles, but before you can scold him, the quick pitter patter of those paws you'd grown used to hearing for these past few days gets closer and closer until it sits on the bed, taking half of the surface with it. "bahm-ie, dad is fine! leave!" he tries to shush him away with just his arm, trying to keep going with his little scheme but the puppy was still standing tall with his chest out like a soldier, a worried frown on his face looking at his owner. it was an adorable sight.

"you know the rules" no sex in front of the dog. you pat his arm and he whines for a little until he gets off of you, a frown on his face as he turned around to face his new adorable puppy. "fine" jungkook doesn't even finish extending his hands but it's enough of a signal for the puppy to walk and kick all over both of your legs until he's right by jungkook's side. just two seconds with his gigantic form on top of the bed was already making the queen size bed feel incredibly small.

"jungkook!" now it's your time to whine as you see him get ready to cuddle with his puppy, his back facing you. you sigh in frustration when he doesn't seem to budge, giggling away while you're looking at him incredibly offended, a little bit hot and bothered maybe.

"the both of you will pay for this, sooner or later." you say as you turn off the switch of your beside lamp. they definitely will.

[♡] it can be scary; the way flowers quickly bloom inside your chest at seeing him glowing with happiness and surrounded by his family, but you don't even care about it. you'd chastised yourself more than enough already for being a coward and not coming over sooner once you realised how easy-going everyone can be and how happy seokjin is to finally have someone by his side on sunday barbeques. realising that meeting the parents was nothing like you'd imagined yourself in your head was certainly a relief, and you were now hoping for this to become a regular thing; shared over a nice dinner at night in the middle of summer when lovely breezes are needed and appreciated the most, or during lazy brunches that shouldn't be labelled as lazy cause seokjin's mom will always make sure to prepare a whole buffet that rises to the occasion.

you finally get the answer to all of your questions regarding where does seokjin's out of this world charms come from.. and it's not a surprise to find his family as the culprit. every member of the kim family was charming and magnetic, and they all were so kind; they didn't hesitate to make you feel like home from the instant you arrived.

sitting at the table today feels like an honor you feel like you don't deserve. you're enamoured by the way both seokjin's parents are so loving towards each other and the way only seokjin can make his father laugh until he's panting with just a few words. there's so much love in this simple backyard and this was just a normal sunday afternoon for them.

it makes you realize that this is what you want for your happy ending. your whole life passing by and not a single regret because there's no time to even think about that; instead choosing to stay on the present and enjoy the moment with the man you now realise you want to be with forever. it's an idea it had never crossed your mind even though you can imagine yourself growing older with him, and it doesn't take too long for your mind to jump into a hundred different places with this simple dose of serotonin rushing through your body as a motivator.

you're lucky enough to be able to watch seokjin from a distance playing with his one and only niece; the tiny creature being lucky enough to be the first baby of the family and the most spoiled; and you watch the cute interaction between her and your boyfriend, who assists her while she tries to walk through the whole backyard, praises falling out of his mouth endlessly, laced with so much love and adoration just for her.

and when it's time to pick the table up and do the dishes in the kitchen, your heart beats faster from how happy you felt while sharing this few minutes with seokjin's mom and his sister-in-law, who don't forget to remind you that you were the first girl seokjin ever brought home, and even receiving a nice hug as an approval from his mom made you laugh with excitement.

"what are you ladies giggling so much about?" his arms embrace you from behind and he wastes no time in giving you a gentle smooch on the side of your face. you offer him a smile while drowning in the feeling that it is being so loved. his mom is looking at you both smiling from ear to ear, the nice velvety red lipstick adorning her lips enhancing her ageless beauty in the most graceful and classiest of ways.

it was once intimidating to even think about meeting his mother, the same one he'd described as the woman of his life and protector of his hopes and dreams, and now that you're sharing this moment with her too, you feel elated. he'd always talked about his mother dearly and you have the fondest memories of finding him in the morning having breakfast while avidly speaking with his mom about the changing seasons and the perfect plants to dress his apartment with.

leaving is not an easy task; his parents insisting for the both of you to stay a little longer and even if they fail at convincing seokjin (who had whined about not being able to spend more time with you during the day) they insist on the both of you taking some (if not most) of the leftovers from lunch. you both end up walking back to his apartment with the biggest smiles on your faces, your applecheeks sunkissed from how much time you'd spent out in the backyard..

yet you don't mind. cause seeing him in a different light, seeing how he had this certain glow in him that not even the shiniest of suns could replicate, made you realise how ready you are for taking another step into your relationship.

you realize that even if youre uncertain about the future and you don't know what might happen, you're not scared. his hand protecting yours was a reminder that whatever direction you were going, you'd do it together. always.
