There were times in life, when,

I've been broken, and I've been bare

and like you promised, to be by my side always

I've had a serious midlife crisis,

like a thorn sticking out of a soft rug,

that spike of dust, bothersome bug,

In the corona stricken world,

a mad woman longing for a hug.

I think knowing people goes in two ways- knowing facts about them, and knowing them exactly as a person. I think it is not hard to dig deep and find information that can sum up a person's life. Difficult is- finding what they are, and what they've been in the course of their life. What they have felt throughout, and what they seek forward to feel. The world today, is a social platform, where lives are all laid out for people to judge. The deeper, hidden, unexplored and unseen layers are what people actually are.

We were scared of the ruins,

of our homes, so pretty.

You are the victim on the run,

I am the abandoned city.

Goodbyes have often crushed me hard,

and I've seen for my myself, a dead end,

I've felt like I have a lost a piece of me,

and that piece probably had the all, I could ever be.

To be honest, it took me a night's sleep,

to feel a little light, and pick my will to fight,

I've asked myself, what I was so sad about,

I've felt like a heartless crappy human, moving on so quick.

Goodbyes have always been hard for me,

but I have assembled all pieces of me,

And searched for the bits, I'll hold on to,

to keep safe with me, all they left behind.
