Adhd Witch - Tumblr Posts
if I ever share at altar pics it’s not from my working altar just fyi. I have a seasonal which is pretty much the only one I ever share in my “craft room” ( get it lol) + an abundance altar in the kitchen, ancestor altar in the bedroom, home altar in the living room, self-love altar also in the bedroom. My working altar is in the craft room and ugly as fuck. Just another reminder that magic doesn’t need to be aesthetic. My seasonal altar is pretty but only because it mostly sits there (sometime will add workings or cards but hardly ever changes otherwise throughout the season) and I only change it like every six weeks. Its purpose is just to encourage me to be mindful and grateful of the seasons. Using a seasonal altar has helped a lot with my time slippage issues and adhd. Encouraging all people with time issues to change out one thing in the same spot however you recognize seasons even if it’s not an altar at all but just a decoration or whatever makes sense for you. I also rotate candles + makeup and other small things and base my projects/goals/planning around the seasons.
what kind of altars do y’all have, what beliefs do you have about taking pictures and sharing or otherwise publicly documenting your spellwork as it is in progress OR after completed? this is something I haven’t made my mind up about yet.
Highly encourage all people including all types of secular people to try using seasons as a framework, whether that be the wheel of the year, zodiacal calendar, holidays, whatever system feels right to you. Secular witchcraft tools have helped me so much with neurodivergence and trauma. Obviously including putting in the work, taking meds, all that in combination.
