any of you a fan of music
Though my main interest are visual arts, I do enjoy the music of my creators, as well. So I suppose you could call me a "fan of music".
My citizens were a particularly creative bunch, and I've maintained a vast collection of their works. Every once in a while, I was tasked with selecting the tracks to play during various ceremonies and festivals - it was always a rather exciting endeavor. Though nothing could compare to the live performances.
Here's a sample of a song made by one of my city's most prolific musicians - Sixteen Shields, Four Spikes. They were well known for combining traditional sounds with more contemporary trends.

The title alone seems to take up half of the file size, going on and on. The track itself sounds like someone added a dubstep drop to a lute melody, with some wind chimes thrown in for good measure.]
Demons and monsters that torture people because they feed on human suffering are so dumb. People are suffering everywhere my guy go literally any place and take a deep whiff.
You are a student with the least amount of magic potential ever recorded at the Academy and it’s the day of the familiar summoning test. A misplaced rune or word results in an arch demon/ess becoming bound as your familiar.

Day 7 - Favorite moment with Jack
You gotta be kidding me. Favorite moment, as in singular??? Impossible!!!
There are too many to choose from.
Every time, Jack cracks a joke and Sam tries to stifle a smile/giggle/laugh.
Every time, they care about the wellbeing of the other.
Every time, they communicate with their eyes.
Every time, they call each other by their first name.
Every time, they trust each other in the field.
Every time, Jack invites her to go fishing with him (and the one time, Sam agrees).
Every time, they touch each other, like ‘accidental thigh touching’, ‘platonic shoulder holding’, or ‘I linger over your fingers longer than strictly necessary while you push a file to me’.
The last example is proof to me that they got together after Threads. Maybe some day, I’ll explain it in another post.
However, I decided to settle on one moment in season 8 that is very dear to my heart because of the context.
I present to you the promotion ceremony in New Order II.

The other reason I took this job was so I could do really cool stuff like this. It is with great pride that my first order of business as Commander of this base is the announcement of the promotion of Major Samantha Carter to Lieutenant Colonel.

First order as base commander. So, the moment he took the job, he pushed Sam’s promotion through.
It’s such a Jack O’Neill thing to do because
a) he believes that she deserves it more than anyone else, that she has priority over the mundane and day-to-day aspects of running the SGC. And honestly, Sam saved their collective asses many times. She has proven time and time again that she’s a capable soldier. The promotion is more than justified.
b) it’s a brilliant strategic move. The spot as leader on SG-1 is vacant. I don’t know enough about the ranks in the USAF but I like to believe that a Major isn’t part of the management level ranks (for a lack of a better word) which are allowed to lead a SG team. Here, he makes sure that no one else steals it from her and keeps SG-1 together as a cohesive unit, a family. Step by step, she can collect command experience in a familiar environment because Daniel and Teal’c will follow her orders and cover her back. She can advance on the career ladder. On another SG team she might encounter resistance as leader and earn the trust of her team members. Since she’s a woman, she probably has to work twice as hard to earn the respect of them. If you think that’s unlikely then you never encountered a petty male who thought he deserved to be promoted instead of you.
Once again, Jack has confidence in her abilities and supports her, quietly and subtly as always.
On the other hand, Sam is dumbfounded like “Really? I get promoted?”. She might be the smartest person in the galaxy, but, at times, she doesn’t see her own brilliance and worth. Every once in a while, someone needs to nudge her gently and remind her. This is exactly what Jack does before she can protest or downplay her own accomplishments.
Plus her shy smile at the end melts my heart, every time.
