Besides all the discussions about the changes from book!b&c and Alicole, I think it's important to say that show!b&c has given the best argument to counter the accusations that Alicent and Helaena don't have a good relationship.

Helaena is experiencing the worst moment of her life, where does she run? in Alicent´s chambers

Helana is traumatized and scared but she knows where she is safe: in Alicent's chambers

Helanae runs to her mother because she knows that she and her daughter are safe there.

In her worst moment, Helana instinctively runs to her Mother.
