I don't know how many people noticed this but there are things that imply that goats are not the only type of Boss Monsters. We know Asgore and Rudy were in college together, which means they are the same age, which means Rudy is a Boss Monster!! Plus, Alphys in undertale says Asgore probably should "stop going after furry Boss Monsters". Why would she specify that Toriel is a furry Boss Monster if there weren't any non-furry ones? Sooo maybe there are a lot more types of them, it's just we don't know for sure now
And might I add, as a nonhuman - some of us *are* cats or mermaids or vampires or demigods. And guess what? We're fine. We don't need protecting either. And I'm sure our xenogender friends share the sentiment. This whole panic is stupid bullshit from start to finish.
"ohh what if my kid starts identifying as a CAT because of the trans agenda we have to prote—" well they've always done that. do you remember the psychological effects of h2o on young girls. of warrior cats on autistic children. i believed i was a demigod because of percy jackson. twilight came out and kids were telling their friends they were secretly vampires. this is just a thing kids do. worry less
listen. if you had an abusive parent who is good at behaving themselves around other people- ones who stay calm, and smile, and speak kindly when interacting with the public despite never doing that with you? you’re amazing. if you had to hear “your dad seems cool” or “i love your mom” and nod and feel the way they hurt you go unnoticed? you’re so strong.
it can feel like you’re making it up, because all your teachers really like them. or it can sting, when you see how theyre capable of being thoughtful and polite but they choose to hurt you anyways. but you are wonderful, and brave, and things will get better. you will have people who acknowledge how they treated you. you will thrive. keep fighting.
in a tvd, btvs etc. situation nesta would absolutely hate vampires (she'd be a witch, and if she were ever turned for any reason she'd lose her fucking mind) but that said... she would begrudgingly enjoy being fed on. it's giving intimacy, it's giving pleasure and pain, it's giving fearing for her life and realising she wants to live.
