Animal Shelter - Tumblr Posts
Hey everyone!
I know I haven't been on here in a while, but I come with something that is really important to me, so I hope you can forgive me 💦 I adopted a dog from poland last year and got to know the woman who built her own shelter to save animals.
Aga started out working in a public shelter and conditions there were HORRIBLE. She took over it but they kept cutting funds, so at one point she decided to indebt herself to build her own shelter.
Now, she needs help keeping that shelter open

It would mean the world to me if you could help in any way - sharing, liking, anything. ❤️
(Small warning for the link, in the middle of the page there is one image that’s a bite more explicit)
Saving one animal may not change the world
But surely for that one animal the world will change forever

Hi I need help
There’s this stray cat at a local park
I say stray but I think it’s someone’s pet because it’s so friendly
I first saw it 2 weeks ago and then again yesterday it was a heathy lean at first but now its really skinny looking and it’s eye is starting to look sick
Ik not to call animal control but I’m having a hard time finding somewhere to bring it, I called a local vet they said they could check it for a chip but not take it, I can’t bring it home because it looks sick and I have 2 cats and a dog
I’m trying to ask people I know irl for help but my one window to help is coming up soon
My plan is bring food, to get it close (it’s come out for food before and let me touch it)
A towel so it’s harder for it to get me and a cat carrier to move it
(ideally I’d have someone else there but I can do a solo if need be) bring it to a local vet?? Check it out there than try to bring it to a shelter???
I’ve never done this before if anyone has ideas or experience please please please tell me

The shelter I got my bunny from is having a fundraiser!
The way it works is people enter their pets to be chosen to be used in the yearly calendar they make and people give a donation in order to vote on the pets. I entered my rabbit since I got him from this shelter and wanted to show support for it. All funds raised by voting on him will be going straight to the shelter and supporting more animals like him. I'm very grateful to this shelter for bringing me my wonderful boy and would love if he could help raise some funds for them.

Please, I know this isn’t about Luigi, but this is a serious issue, please make this aware to stop #pitbulldropoff
WARNING: ANIMAL CRUELTY
Apparently people have been adopting dogs and either killing them themselves or dropping them to a kill shelter (and one even said they were flying them to poor Asian areas to be eaten) under the Twitter hashtag #pitbulldropoff
This is completely cruel and evil and word needs to get around about these demons so everyone knows what these demons are planning to do to dogs once they get ahold of them.
If you know someone or if you yourself is planning to give away a pitty by craigslist soon, DONT and wait for awhile!!!! They act like they’re going to adopt them and act all nice then they get rid of them, don’t be fooled!!

The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals in their shelters.
It takes less than a minute (only about 15 seconds actually) to go to their site and click on the purple box titled, ‘Click Here to Give - it’s FREE!’. Every click gives about .6 bowls of food to sheltered dogs. You can also click daily!
Keep in mind that this does not cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. [via.]
Go to the website here.
doesn’t cost you a cent, just a click.
Keeping Up with My New Year's Resolutions: Donating to Inspire Change
Shaina Tranquilino
February 11, 2024
As the new year unfolds, many of us embark on a journey of self-improvement and personal growth through our New Year's resolutions. In 2024, one resolution stands out on my list, aiming to make a difference by donating to a different organization every month. With February already in full swing, I am thrilled to share my experience of fulfilling my second monthly donation goal by contributing to the Saskatchewan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA). Time is slipping away quickly, but so far, this resolution has been an incredibly rewarding endeavour.
Why Donate?
Donating to charitable organizations can have a profound impact on both the recipients and ourselves. It allows us to extend our compassion beyond our immediate circle and contribute to causes that resonate with our values. By supporting these organizations financially, we help them continue their crucial work, address pressing issues, and create positive change within society.
Choosing the Saskatchewan SPCA:
For February's donation, I decided to support the Saskatchewan SPCA—a remarkable organization dedicated to preventing cruelty towards animals across the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. The SSPCA's mission resonated deeply with me as they strive to protect vulnerable animals from abuse, neglect, and abandonment while promoting responsible pet ownership and fostering animal welfare awareness within local communities.
The Donation Process:
Making a contribution was hassle-free thanks to SSPCA's user-friendly website or through Facebook. They provided various options for giving donations online securely. After conducting thorough research about their initiatives and ensuring transparency in their operations, I proceeded with making my donation.
The Experience:
Beyond the satisfaction that comes from helping an important cause, donating provides an opportunity for personal growth and education. The process allowed me to dive deeper into understanding animal rights issues prevalent in today's world – raising awareness not only within myself but also among friends and family.
Moreover, engaging with the SSPCA's social media platforms and newsletters has been a delightful experience. Their updates provide insights into their ongoing projects, success stories, and heartwarming tales of animals finding forever homes. This continuous connection with the organization helps me stay connected to the cause, reminding me of the importance of my monthly resolution.
The Impact:
Though it may seem like a small contribution amidst numerous other generous donations received by organizations such as the SSPCA, every dollar counts. By encouraging others to join in this effort, we create a collective force for good, amplifying our impact beyond what any individual could achieve alone.
As February is already here, I am grateful to have successfully completed my second donation goal for the year. The Saskatchewan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is an incredible organization that tirelessly advocates for animal welfare across Saskatchewan. Through my monthly resolutions to donate to various causes throughout 2024, I aim to inspire positive change not only within myself but also within society.
Remember, it's never too late to make a difference. Whether through financial contributions or volunteering your time and skills, there are countless ways to support organizations working towards creating a better world. So let's keep up the momentum together and continue striving towards making a lasting impact on the causes we hold dear.
On this International Day of Charity, my sweet baby Bogart wants to advocate for the animal shelter I adopted him from - the amazing Saint Francis Animal Center in Georgetown, South Carolina. Along with their charity veterinary clinic, they do extraordinary work rescuing animals and finding them loving homes. Please consider supporting their life-changing work. 🐶❤️🐾
