Out of ALL the things to clarify she decides to clarify that she's not kinkshaming uwu!! Addressing the racism was the one thing she did right in that comic and now she screwed that up...

ik white gays dont want to hear it but they make lgbt spaces so uncomfortable for poc esp black gays…..like ALL spaces. if u ask any gay of color they will probably tell u that they have been made to feel like an undesirable partner in lgbt spaces bc of their race. nd if they were desired it was out of fetishism. we see the way yall talk abt black/ dark skinned women…..begging for them to crush u nd be aggressive with them nd let’s not even talk abt how if a poc points out the flaws of the gay community white gays call them homophobic. like at this point it’s painfully obvious that white gays consider the gay community to include white ppl nd no one else. they value fictional ships over the feelings of poc

queer culture is black culture
white queers are already out and as such think theyre allowed to not only participate in the aspects of black culture that have been
appropriated and de-blacked by the queer community
but they think they can take part in cultural languages and practices that are explicitly black
basically white queers think theyre black because theyre queer bc blackness is seen as a deviant sexuality end tweet
and just as an aside - i was a child in the 2000s and my mom (even in an extremely diverse city) would be constantly asked if i was adopted
or if she was baby sitting (shes white im mixed black)
and her family has always refused to acknowledge my fathers race even when i talk to them about my experiences as a black person

the first laws defining race in the usa were based on miscegenation
when racism 'switched' from being legal (segregation) to covert (lynching) it was done under a campaign of (mythical) black male rape
like... SO MUCH of racism is sexuality based. and it isnt rlly taught that way
i think ppl view it was 'inappropriate' to teach kids in schools but like thats ridiculous just like ppl against teaching any aspect of race

interracial marriage was legalized in 1967 in the united states
was literally 55 years ago
most people's grandparents were in their 20s and 30s before it was even legal
like. visibly black and visibly mixed people are not overreacting when we say you NEED to mention it to your parents

the way some lgbtq people act like they're morally superior to straight ppl for not being straight
some nonblack people act like they're the best person in the world for dating a Black person
to the point that they either do not warn their partner about their family's racism or that they IGNORE the genuine RISK their family poses
to their partner
and thus put their Black partner in a precarious situation
and you can only HOPE as a Black person that it only leads to mental distress and nothing more
bc these racist family/friends can and have physically hurt and killed Black people
and the nonblack person is all 'oh no who could've prevented this'

nonblack people SHOULD cut off the racist family members for the sake of their partner
but lbr often they do not
and often - should the Black individual have the confidence or the means to leave bc lbh this is an abusive relationship if your partner
continually exposes you to this or acts clueless either bc they're actually ignorant or just don't want to deal with the discomfort of
choosing you - the nonblack partner acts like the Black partner is blowing things out of proportion
I won't even touch on the nonsense of Black men refusing to date Black women lmfao but nonblack people dating Black people should look at
themselves and who they expose their partner to and really fucking think
bc ppl seem to acknowledge the mental burden of women in relationships bc society has socialized us to be the household manager and shit
they need to acknowledge that Black people often have to justify just existing. your Black partner should NEVER be put in that position with
your family that is for YOU to deal with nonblack partner
and if you fucking cannot remove yourself from those ppl or be honest with your partner because stress literally kills us

my experience is with gay people so that's what i know
and i feel like gay people treat black people like a sexuality maybe more than straight people?
gay boys in particular
white gays can be so fucking racist sometimes and it feels like they think it's okay because they're oppressed too
i did actually meet a black guy who said it was his first time hooking up with a black person and that it was like a Thing
not sure if he said he was nervous but something along those lines that it was a new experience in a significant way
and i was like... the internalized racism is insane
i think i've seen like maybe 3 people romantically who didn't specifically have a thing for black guys
it just feels so dehumanizing when there are people who straight up don't want anything to do with black people
and the ones that do are almost fetishizing blackness
i just want to exist as a person is that really so much to ask
im mixed so seeing the way people treat potential romantic/sexual partners of a different race was kind of a whiplash moment
like people REALLY care sometimes and it just blows my mind honestly
