I am so sorry for my marvel/supernatural mutuals, all of the content that I am going to be reposting and making for the next 3 days-12 months is either going to be star wars focused (i’m re-entering that phase okay leave me be) or shadow and bone focused. With a little bit of tFatWS mixed in there, y’know, for spice.

The amount of times i’ve seen someone get called *insert different and various insults* on this app ALONE is fucking disgusting.

Stop acting like children, I know most of y’all are in your 20’s. Grow up.

i cannot even begin to contemplate how horrendously painful it must be for leigh, who wrote alina escaping the darkling’s clutches as a way of coping with her own need to escape a toxic relationship… and then witness people time and time again ship those two characters together.

i truly cannot imagine how painful it must be for leigh seeing this. and so do i blame her for really upping the ante with anti-darkling rhetoric in recent years? no. if you created a relationship specifically to mirror your experience of abuse and your relief in escaping, and your readers responded by going on and on about how perfect that relationship is… god i cannot even imagine

I hate how the trope "enemies to lovers" has been so twisted by fandom and their overall romantization of abusive couples - because now they claim that trope for every couple were assault or some kind of violence is involved. Enemies to lovers isn’t "I felt in love with the rapist, groomer, mass murderer that threatened to kill my family and [actually did it]" that’s just insulting to actual "enemies to lovers" couples.

"Enemies to lovers" is when the characters are on opposite sides of ideas or world views that create in them discussions or distaste for one another - but then by being thrown into similar circumstances or the same circle of friends or occurrences they start to understand and develop mutual respect for each other that later can grow into love and a good relationship.

Please, don’t get it twisted. Stop putting obvious abusive relationships (usually involving abuser x victim power dynamic) into some trope that suggest otherwise - it paints those relationships as something that it isn’t.

After finishing Addie LaRue I am 100% sure that Luc and the Darkling are the same person.

Manipulative, related with darkness , hundred of years old, powerful, think that they are in love with the protagonist but they really just don't want to be alone , unable to love because they care only about themselves, don't consider their love interests as their equals and obviously they both are PIECES OF SHIT

darkling defenders act is if powerful men don’t abuse their positions and take advantage of people all the time when there’s constantly allegations of politicians and high ranking businessmen and high ranking hollywood directors/producers/actors assaulting people and using their power and status to prey on people. people in power abuse their power all the time, often towards those who have less power, status, and/or influence, and that’s exactly what the darkling did

I understand the Darkling is a complex character, had good intentions, yadayada, etc etc. HOWEVER, I will never understand Darklina. Like he literally said, “I will strip away all that you know, all that you love, until you have no shelter but mine.” The definition of toxic and abusive.
