Bg3 Emperor - Tumblr Posts
I sketched the Emperor with Microns this morning, I simultaneously love/hate this guy. Mind flayers are so fun to draw 🫶✨
Meanwhile the Emperor being fed up with Tav‘s/Durge‘s and the groups shit in general #LMAO
This was done in honor of the player's betrayal statistics to the Emperor.
"I really don't want this shit in my head" package LMAO
Isn’t it weird that mind flayers are controlled by an Elder Brain.
A brain, the sole thing in mind flayer’s diet.
It’s like if we shared a hive mind, the epicentre of which is a gargantuan Overlord grilled chicken.
Praise be Overlord Chicken
Just a lazy morning🐶🐙

My Tav Seraphine is not very happy about the little comment Withers made about Illithids
Why do people keep saying Mind Flayers are sexless?
I assume this is because they only look at the Fandom Wiki about Mind Flayers, and then somehow use this information to try and be upset about being able to romance Mind Flayers/The Emperor in Baldur's Gate 3, since the Fandom Wiki calls Mind Flayers sexless. However 'The Book of Aberrations' and 'Volo's Guide to Monsters' states this;
My best bet is that due to a Mind Flayers long life span and the rarity of them spawning, Mind Flayers are most likely Simultaneous Hermaphrodites, meaning they could either asexually reproduce through self-fertilization or reproduce with another Mind Flayer who is also ready to spawn. This means Mind Flayers are perfectly capable of sexual intercourse/reproduction.
Note: I also feel like people just seem to forget that one does not need to have sex organs in order to have sexual relations, compatible or non-existent when talking about fiction.
The Emperor better watch out, Tav is on their way to overwhelm his brain with love and affection toward him
Ansur couldn't accept him as he is but Tav is built different
No but really imagine being The Emperor, thinking you'd be killed if the people you're protecting find out what you are
But none of that happens, instead the group leader just mind blasts you with feelings of love and affection because they can't contain their feelings toward you like, at all
Do u think he'd cry about it in private? I want him to have a little cry about it
I think if he ever were to cry about it, it would take a long time. I think he has quite a lot of trauma over Ansur, and quite a lot of grief and regret over Stelmane. His defenses are high, and he pushes down his emotions so as not to feel them too much. It reminds me of when he learned of Stelmane's death and spoke of being haunted by memories of her and how his grief was not entirely unwelcome.
He doesn't trust easily, and I think the true significance of Tav's feelings for him would be a long and slow burn before he can truly let his defenses down and allow all those emotions in.
About *that* achievement...
I always wondered how the emperor kept an eye on us..

Balduran and Emperor
I've recently had a discussion with @mumms-the-word about the Emperor. Was Balduran such a bad person even before becoming illithid or did his transformation trigger a drastic change in personality?
Today I've defeated Ansur for the fourth time and made screenshots of what Emperor tells the player about his life as Balduran. Here they are:
He says he refused to return to his city without greatness. So he craved power and recognition even before becoming illithid. He became worse after the transformation, but initially Balduran was not an entirely good person.
The tricky thing is that I only found out he disabled her in my 3rd playthrough! I was doing Gale origin run and rudely told off the Emperor in the romance scene with him. And only then he told me what he did to Stelmane. None of my friends ever got this information. My husband never got to the Ansur quest, because he told Wyll to break free from the pact and didn't manage to save Duke Ravenguard. So the fact that the Emperor was Balduran and had betrayed a friend also never occured.
So yeah, Emperor is a liar AND an asshole. Although I have been killing him since the first playthrough, at first I had done it only out of necessity to save the Githyanki people. Now I detest the Emperor.
And I love Omeluum, I wish we could take him to fight the big brain.
i think it's really important to remember that the emperor disabled stelmane. like as a disabled person every playthrough after my first i told that manipulative prick to piss off every chance. i don't give a shit if he was 'only doing it to survive' or if stelmane was a devil worshipper or whatever. my personal experience with disability means that fucker dies on sight in the final fight. i have no empathy and no wish to empathise with the emperor. he is selfish and evil.
