"I need someone whose mind falls like a chopper on a block; to whom the pitch of absurdity is sublime, and a shoestring adorable. To whom can I expose the urgency of my own passion?."

The Write Stuff
Alright. It’s time. Today is the day. I am finally going to talk about writing! I’m actually oddly excited to talk about writing. I talk about writing all day with my family. They are my #1 partners in storytelling. My mom writes. My sister writes. My brother is an artist who brings things to life for me. Art is the heartbeat of my household. Being a writer is more of a matter of time than if it…

On Writing: A Movie Theater at the End of the World
Back in 2013 to 2014, I had an idea for an apocalyptic story about a girl and her family living during the breakdown of society. There weren’t zombies or a virus or anything like that. It was a… cozy dystopia if that can even be a thing. It was very cottage core in a way. The girl and her family acquire a farm right before society starts to crumble. While they turn the farm into something livable…

The Reckoners Ending [Book Series]
If the title doesn't make it clear that it's a spoiler, I don't know how to help ya.
I don't think I ever managed to get this out because like no one I know reads the Reckoners and stuff but so- I don't like the ending. I'm gonna be honest here though, it's been awhile since I read it by now and details have slipped by mind and honestly for the life of me I can't remember anyone's names besides I think the girl being Megan and the protag having a boring name which means you also don't see it often.
OKAY, so. I hate the ending. I don't know about you but I didn't really understand it that well and.. what? Okay maybe I just misunderstood the story and I just- okay did he just fuckin.. go to Calamity or whatever and plan to explode this guy who's basically a fucking god who made people Epics and then.. i dont know what else happened. i think the doc- limelight(??) was there too? I DONT KNOW-
but so then something something, and then protag has fucking steelheart's powers?? WHAT- IM SO CONFUSED
honestly it seemed so underwhelming and extremely confusing, and honestly I just kinda wish that instead of that, we go back to book two and take what could've happened. I don't know about you but I really wanted him to have epic powers and Calamity literally gave it to him but because he was facing his own fear it canceled out that and never gave him powers because that was the thing that got the darkness that came from epic powers to lessen so that people weren't such little shits who destroyed everything and became dictator tyrants
THERE WAS POTENTIAL. i understand it was for story but BUT YOU BUILT IT UP TO THAT MOMENT AND THEN NOTHING- wHAT
i want him to have those powers but they could be weakened since they wouldn't have as much of a grasp on him since the fear thing ? BUT WHY WOULD YOu scRAP THAT IdEA- YOU BUILT EVERYTHING PERFECTLY FOR IT and then you didnt. WHAT WAS THE POINT- to prove the efficiency of the fuckin method they figured out??? THATS JUST LIKE UNNECESSARY INFO NOW :(
AAGGHH. and then he STILL got powers. oh and there was that thing about his dad at the end but to be honest i cant really remember it but it just.. honestly the end felt a little unfinished to me or something. i dont know, maybe i read it wrong somehow or missed something but it just doesnt look right
the story was great it had something going for it but it just kinda.. didn't work out as it could've lived up to
correct me if i was wrong on any of this btw reckoner readers. maybe even give it a read yourself if you haven't and are reading this despite spoilers, because i mean you could then tell me if there was anything i misunderstood or something yknow?
y’all ever look at a character as the series goes on and think “yeah i know this character better than the author does”
ofc they’re the authors character, but sometimes i feel like authors change characters so much as if they aren’t supposed to be “humans with their own mind”
i kinda love when authors let the plot mold around the characters instead of making the characters mold into the plot they want to happen.

I don't trust any book on which the name of the author is printed in bigger letters than the title
