Actually you know what here are my headcanons on whether or not various characters celebrate/have celebrated Thanksgiving.
Mr House: Has celebrated Thanksgiving, continues to do so.
Caesar: Knows what Thanksgiving is, does not celebrate it. đ Who cares?
Vulpes Inculta: Does not know what Thanksgiving is, does not celebrate.
Benny: Iâd imagine Mr House made him and the other tribes celebrate it, so used to but not anymore (post courier)
Yes Man: Securitron, has celebrated, will continue to celebrate only if prompted.
Arcade: Has periodic, seasonal dreams (nightmares really) of political arguments happening at the dinner table in Navarro. Doesnât celebrate. Also does not appreciate Mr House making a spectacle of it on the Strip while people in Freeside are starving.
Veronica: Has a kind of faint idea of what Thanksgiving is, doesnât celebrate.
Cass: Has a faint idea of what Thanksgiving is, doesnât celebrate.
Raul: Knows what Thanksgiving is, does not celebrate.
Lily: Knows what Thanksgiving is, encourages her grandchildren to celebrate.

Caesar doesnât genuinely believe in misogyny. I disagree that his charisma score and intelligence be so low because the way he implements control tactics over the entirety of the Legion is actually really smart when you get down to it.
To clarify before I start my inane babbling Iâve gotta tell yâall that I donât like the Legion as a faction but as a story device theyâre very cool. Iâm also not a mysoginist. Granted I donât think youâll be able to get that impression of me from my rant but still I wanna make it clear that I hate the Legion as a faction đđđ
Every member of the Legion who is a soldier is a slave. Slavesâobviouslyâdo not like being slaves. If all of the Legion consisted of both women and men as soldiers on somewhat equal standing with each other, they would start discussing ways to get free. Naturally, of course, Iâm sure there are discussions like this within the Legion already, but regardless. The act of making women seem unequal to men is a control tactic. People are desperate for any semblance of control in a powerless situation, therefore if there is a group that is even lower than they are, and they have their own control over them, they wonât want to give it up. A hierarchal system like this is a killer control tactic when utilized against a very large group of people. Women are stuck in place as lower than the lowest man, which means that the men have power over them no matter their own standing.
Competitiveness also comes into play here. With the rigorous competition within the Legion, youâve got people who are not going to want to give up what power they have and attempt to escape, especially if that power took painstakingly long to get. A centurion who has worked for his position will not want to leave because he has control over every person lower than him. A recruit who has just been assimilated will not want to leave because even though he is new, heâs still got more standing than the highest ranking woman.
Of course, threats of violence help too, but thatâs not what Iâm focusing on t en
People seem to be discussing why Caesar has no concubines and I think that itâs, once again, because he gives no shits about misogyny. Like he views it as a useful tool but he understands damn well that women arenât ânaturally weak and subservientâ. Otherwise he wouldnât recruit a female courier. Also, the reason he has no real heir is because Caesar doesnât care about the Legion after he dies. Bros a narcissist, as far as he gives a fuck, the Legion is only for him and it will stop existing once he dies. Itâs not a matter of legacy, itâs a matter of fulfilling a need for power.
