Flannel

Rating: T

Warnings: Swearing, innuendos, crappy writing and late night editing.

Author’s Note: It’s been...eight months since my last imagine?! I can’t believe how fast time went by! Due to personal issues, I lost the energy and passion to write during that time. It hurt to not find the motivation to write my own stories but I’m thankful to be here now. I’m ready to write again! Forgive my crappy start back and hopefully, this isn’t as bad as I think it is.

(GIF not mine as always)

Flannel

A silent gasp escaped your lips as you saw him walk up to you, a big smile on his face as he looked around the empty room. You were an hour early, as always, and previously thinking it would be that way for a while, shock was the only emotion now plastered on your face.

That and the desire to just pull your husband close and kiss him. Damn that flannel shirt. All red, blue, and…perfect.

Quickly, you snapped out of your thoughts as he loudly coughed to grab your attention once more. With a smirk, he leaned over your chair and slowly, he moved to rest his lips close to yours. His hot breath fanned across your face, making you blush a deep red color, while one hand moved to touch your cheek.

“Hey gorgeous.”

Despite being married to the man, all you could do was stutter as you worked towards a response. But finding it difficult to do even that, you did the next best thing and set your earlier plan to motion. Quickly, your arms hooked around his neck, pulling him the rest of the way down to kiss him passionately. His chest rumbled with a chuckle as he happily pulled you up out of your chair, bringing you both to his without breaking the kiss that was quickly becoming a little too steamy for a public setting. But your sense of judgment was gone as you weaved your hands through his long hair, pulling it gently as you longed for this moment to last.

Yet it did too soon to your liking and with a pout, you pulled away gasping for air. You moved, resting your forehead against his shoulder, smiling as you felt his body vibrate from the laughter that came from him. He squeezed you tightly, pressing you flush against him as he worked through the chuckles to softly lay kisses down the side of your neck.

“Surprised?” He asked as his hands moved down your back. You groaned in delight.

“Confused.” You mumbled, waiting for your racing heart to settle until you pulled away to look at his happy expression.

“My new agent booked an interview with your company weeks ago. I know you usually handle this sort of things and come on babe, it was too good to pass up. I had to surprise you.”

“You succeeded.” You chuckled. With the bright smile on his face, how could you be anything but happy anyways? Besides, when were you not excited to be with your husband? With a smile that seemed to rival his own, you kissed him quickly before standing and retrieving the sheets of paper that scattered to the floor when Chris picked you up. “So what, I’m supposed to interview you?”

“That is your job.” You shot a glare at Chris leading him to raise his arms in defense. He chuckled while trying again. “Just act like I’m just another guest on your show babe. It’ll be fine.”

You rolled your eyes while setting the papers back on your chair before once more going to sit on Chris’ lap. Snuggled close to your husband, you sighed in content before you nodded to the idea. Honestly, you would have agreed to anything if the promise of Chris’ amazing hugs were part of the package. Your eyes closed and with a deep breath, you indulged in the little moment the two of you shared. But of course, it didn’t last for long as you played with the sleeve of his shirt, groaning as you finally looked up at him.

“I’m pissed too by the way.” You chuckled as the smile on Chris’ face dropped, his eyes quickly searching yours for a clue as to why. But the tension that had already seemed to grow within him faded when he saw that adorable pout he fell in love with, your bright (e/c) eyes trying their best to look sad.

“You promised you wouldn’t wear that shirt anymore outside of the house.”

Chris couldn’t help himself. He laughed, the sound echoing in the room as he moved to squeeze his left boob. His eyes clenched shut, he threw his head back as he let the amusement of what you said, and the memories of your past promise, wash over him. You couldn’t help but chuckle alongside him, remembering when you saw the interview where he showcased the flannel shirt. Halfway across the country, the sight of your husband and how that damn shirt looked on him almost sent you in a panic to buy a ticket and fly out there to meet him.

If he had that effect on you, his wife, how would anyone else think? While jealously wasn’t something you often showed during this relationship, that damn shirt had led to it as you keep staring at Chris on the screen of your phone. Combine that with his signature beard and his overall adorable self, you were certain at that point that the flannel shirt needed to go. Or be for your personal eyes only. If you had to share your man, the least you could take was one shirt away from the public. Something only for you to see on him.

The thought of that shirt lingered in your mind until he came home a few days later. Immediately, he was greeted with a welcome that was far more than a simple kiss and after that, you voiced your thoughts about the flannel. The reaction had been the same as now and with a chuckle, promised you that the shirt would be for you only if you did the same with that (your favorite color) dress that he loved.

“You started it. You wore that damn dress to Sebastian’s party last month in New York.”

“I forgot all my other dresses at home!” You retorted while going back to pouting.

“Still…” Chris was still laughing, moving to wipe his eyes before he looked down at you once more. “I told you that you looked stunning in that dress and I was right. All his single friends kept hitting on you and…damn it (y/n). Call me selfish but I didn’t want anyone else to see how beautiful you looked then. It was for my eyes only.”

“Now you know how I feel when you’re in that fucking flannel.”

“Noted.” Chris chuckled. Finally, he was starting to calm down. His eyes focused on you and his thumb rubbed against your bottom lip as he smiled. “I promise to head home after this. Plus, this is just a voice interview. No one will see me in the shirt. Happy?”

With a grin on your face, you leaned forward. After voicing your approval against his lips, you happily indulged in the small make-out session that happened right after

Missing You

Warnings: slight cursing and as always, late night editing and some mediocre writing

Chris’ absence had always taken a toll on your daughter but today, on the day of her fall dance recital, the effect was even worse. As you looked down at the little girl tightly holding onto your hand, your heart broke as you took in her expression. She kept her gaze forward, quiet, as the flowers you had bought her nearly dragged on the floor. Tears were brimming in her eyes, threatening to fall and you knew the moment you both made it to the car, they would. For now, your brave little six year old refused to let her friends and their families see how much she missed her daddy. Amazed that she could be so strong, even you wouldn’t have been able to keep it together like that, the feeling quickly passed when you heard her sniffle. Immediately, you swept her into your arms, letting her hide against your neck as you finished the short trek to the car.

Like you predicated, once the door was opened and she was being buckled into her seatbelt did she finally break. Her whimpers had turned into full-blown sobs as she clutched the flowers tightly to her chest, crying her heart out for her daddy.

“I want my daddy. When is daddy coming home?” She whimpered, looking up at you with her now red and puffy eyes, forcing your already broken heart to crumble beyond repair as you struggled to find a solution for her troubles. But with Chris still working on his next film and no chance for the two of you to fly out there right now, all you could do was pull her into your arms and softly rub her back.

“Oh sweetheart. I know you do. Your daddy misses you too. I promise that we’ll see him soon. Soon baby.”

But your words did nothing as she continued to sob, her wet tears staining your shirt as she pressed herself close against you. You didn’t really expect them to though. While she was always your strong little princess, she was still six after all. With a silent sigh, you pulled away to make her look at you. A small smile on your face, you tucked her hair behind her head before wiping away her tears.

“How about we…” You didn’t have time to finish your thought as your phone rang, Chris’ familiar ringtone filling the air.

Just like that, the despair your daughter felt was gone as you quickly scrambled for your phone, letting her take it as soon as you answered. She waved as his face popped up on the facetime call, giggling as Chris’ loud voice echoed in the car.

“Hey princess! How was your dance?!”

While you would have rather stuck around to see your husband, you reluctantly climbed into the front seat and started the long trek back to your home. For now, you’d have to live with only hearing his voice. Yet even that was muffled as your thoughts continued to center around your daughter and how you could fix this.

***

Just like almost any problem in the Evans house, Disney had become part of the solution. With Chris’ help, the two of you had made it to Disneyland the next weekend. While (y/d/f/n) had resisted at first, claiming it wouldn’t be as fun without her daddy, here you were by the castle.

The two of you sat on a bench nearby, watching families pass by muttering about fast pass times and the next parade. But for once, your daughter didn’t seem to care about the next thing to do as she happily munched on her treat. The dripping Mickey Mouse ice cream bar left marks on her Belle ball gown but it didn’t deter her from trying to finish the giant treat by herself. The Lumiere and Cogsworth doll left forgotten at her side, she continued to nibble her way through the chocolate covered treat while humming along to “Be Our Guest” that the show nearby was playing.

But as always, it was too much. The simple idea made her pause until finally, she reluctantly handed you the rest of the bar.

“Do you want the rest mommy? Daddy usually has it but…” Just like last week, your daughter looked about ready to break down as she thought about the fun times with what she said was ‘the best daddy in whole wide world.’

“Woah. Are you giving my treat to mommy? Not cool sweet pea!” The new voice in the conversation immediately forced (y/d/f/n)’s head to snap up as she looked around for the familiar voice, a grin stretching across her face when she saw him.

There, in front of the two of you, was your husband. Despite how tired he must be from the non-stop filming, he didn’t show it as he walked toward the bench with a bright smile. He didn’t even try to hide his amusement as he knelt down beside your daughter. But as soon as he did, she reacted, flinging herself into his arms. The ice cream now lying on the floor, she didn’t care as she squealed, pushing herself closer towards her father’s loving embrace.

“Daddy! You’re here!”

Chris chuckled as he happily held onto her, hugging her tight as he kissed the side of her head.

“Well of course I’m here. I couldn’t stand being away from my favorite princess.”

As your two favorite people exchanged hugs and kisses, you recorded the entire thing, only putting it away when they both turned in your direction. The same goofy grin on their faces, they took the few steps closer to reach you before Chris leaned down to finally give you the kiss that you’ve been longing for since the moment he left to film. Your daughter’s soft giggles interrupted the two of you quickly though as once more, she stole Chris’ attention. Not that you minded. You adored the bond between the two and would happily step aside to make your little one happy.

“Daddy! We didn’t go on your favorite ride yet!”

“What?! Were you waiting for me? Did you know I was coming?” Chris teased while tickling her, making her once soft giggles turn into shrieks of amusement as she squirmed in her father’s arms. But you knew that she’d happily take the tickle torture if it meant staying in his arms.

You chuckled as you gathered your things before taking Chris’ free hand. With (y/d/f/n) distracted as she scooped up her plush friends, you smiled up at the man you loved.

“I missed you.” You whispered, smiling when he leaned down to softly kiss you once more.

“God (y/n), I missed you too. So damn much. I couldn’t stop thinking about the two of you when I was filming. When I brought up the idea of a break to see you two, the directors nearly dragged me to the taxi hoping that I’d come back more focused.”

You chuckled, shaking your head as you squeezed his hand gently. “I guess I should be thanking them then. Any more time apart and I think (y/d/f/n) and I would have gone insane.”

Chris couldn’t help himself as he leaned down to kiss you yet again. Not that he really wanted to. Even after years of being married, the two of you still were in the ‘honeymoon’ stage of your relationship. Every day with each other was something you both treasured and you both doubt that feeling would ever change. With a smile, he let go of your hand and instead, pulled you as close as he could to his side.

“Now I can’t have that happen to my best girls, now can I?”

Chris Evans x Reader

X wife!reader who’s a famous model, and she’s doing a makeup or skincare for vogue during quarantine and they had a baby boy who’s 4 months and he’s a big mamas boy and she’s doing the voice video with the baby and it’s all cute and fluffy

*Requests are Open | Tag List is Open

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Chris, come get him. I have to start filming soon,” you called to your husband.
Chris came hurrying in the room to pick up the squirming baby boy that was in your arms.
As soon as he picked your son up, he started whimpering.
“It’s okay, little man,” Chris cooed, bouncing him a bit to stop the tantrum that was brewing. “Mommy will be finished soon, then you can have her all to yourself.”
It was no good, however. Soon your son, Alexander, started crying. He always did this when anyone took him out of your arms. Alex was, to put it politely, a big ass mama’s boy. He had to either be around you or see you, if not, he’d start wailing until you were right there. He took up a lot of your time, which you didn’t mind, but you could tell it made Chris a little jealous. Mostly because he wanted to spend time with Alex too, but every time he even went near the boy without you, he’d start crying.
You had to reassure Chris that it wouldn’t last. After all it wasn’t his fault that he had been away during the first three months after Alex’s birth.
“Just give him time,” you had told him after the fifth time he’d tried to pick your son up and he started crying. “He just needs to get used to you.”
Chris, looking crestfallen, had nodded in agreement. But you knew he was kicking himself for not being there.
The air was cool and smelt fresh, the wind caught in the tops of the tall trees and made them rustle quietly, sounding like distance voices all around you. The cabin was small, a deep brown colour with a short chimney that had a curl of smoke reaching into the blue sky.
“Oh Chris,” you breathed, as you took in your surroundings, “Chris, this is unreal,” the secluded cabin deep in the woods was your anniversary getaway. Just you and Chris making the most of a weekend together with no children and no dog either.
“I thought you’d enjoy the peace and quiet,” he replied, taking your weekend bag from the car and carrying it up the few steps toward the front door, “The lady who owns it said there would be a fully stocked fridge and a fire burning for us, there’s no WiFi though,” he added, opening the front door and stepping inside, you followed excitedly.
The main room wasn’t overly large but big enough for the two of you, there was a large and comfortable looking sofa at one end of the room and a couple of squashy looking arm chairs too, arranged around the open fireplace, a dining table with two chairs and two places set out beautifully. There was a door that you guessed led to the kitchen and another door that stood ajar, giving you a glimpse of the bedroom and the plush looking bed.
“This is amazing,” you said, “Thank you, baby,” you added, throwing your arms around Chris. He held you tightly, breathing deeply.
Could you do a Chris Evans x reader where reader is a famous actress in the MCU and they’re best friends and they’re in love with each other but neither one knows and reader has to stay at Chris’ cause of the weather for a few days and it’s all angsty and eventual fluff
After All This Time
A/N: I’m so sorry this request took so long to do, I had no idea how to do this but I finally had a breakthrough with it and was able to do it the way you requested. I hope you enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Word Count: 3,040
Warnings: angst, cheating boyfriend, language, fluff
Chris Evans is by far, the greatest person in your life. You met him a couple of years ago when you were cast in an Avengers movie. Ever since then, you two have been inseparable. You were his best friend on and off screen, and he was yours. The chemistry between you two was undeniable, everyone saw it. You were always spotted in public together. Whether it was eating at a restaurant or going to theme parks.  The way you were with each other, you could easily be mistaken for a couple. Most of the time you were paired up together during press releases, and there was always a question that came up about your friendship.
You’d be lying if you said you didn’t have some sort of romantic feelings for him, of course you did. And it would be also be a lie if he said he didn’t have feelings for you, too. You had been there for each other through everything. No matter how many times you were told “Just go for it. You both are obviously in love with each other. You always have been. What do you have to lose?”, neither of you ever did anything about your feelings, afraid the other person didn’t feel the same way. It was your biggest fear. Losing Chris terrified you in every way.
There had been a period of a couple months when Chris had been dating someone, and she immediately did not want you around. Chris hadn’t noticed her controlling his relationship with you until he realized one night that he hadn’t had an actual conversation with you in 2 months. He broke up with her instantly and flew to go see you and apologized for being such an ass and letting some chick come in between your friendship.
The couple of boyfriends you have had since knowing Chris had problems with him instantly. They never liked the fact that he was always around or how you always talked about him. No matter how many times you said “He’s my best friend”, they never accepted it. You always ended the relationship the minute he asked you to stop talking to Chris, but Chris never knew that. You know how guilty he’d feel if he knew he was basically the reason your relationships always ended. You always just said that you were too different or that it just didn’t work out.
Chris was always there for you for every breakup. No matter where he was or what he was doing, you always managed to spend a couple of days with him. You watched trashy comedies and ate too much junk food on his couch for a couple days and spent every waking moment with him.
This breakup had been particularly rough. You had met the one guy who never had a problem with your friendship. Josh was very supportive of you having someone in your corner and loved how well he treated you. Chris always respected the boundaries and never pushed his limits, so there was no issue. Chris hit it off with him, too. They got along really well and always seemed to have a good time whenever they were around each other. You loved seeing your boyfriend and best friend together.
After a year of dating Josh you surprised him at work for your 1 year anniversary with some lunch. You went up to his office and knocked on the door before opening it and once you saw him making out with his half dressed coworker on his desk. Without saying anything you dropped everything in your hands and ran out the building, ignoring the pleads from Josh. You immediately got in your car and called Chris.
“Y/N! How did the anniversary surprise go?” His voice rang through the phone. A sob left your mouth as you rested your forehead against your steering wheel, tears flowing.
“What’s wrong? What happened?” Chris’ voice laced with concern.
“H-he’s cheating on m-me! W-with some g-girl from w-work!” You continued sobbing with the phone pressed against your ear.
“Oh, Y/N. I’m so sorry. Did he tell you that he was or did you find something?” He asked. You took a few deep breaths to try and calm down before you continued.
“I went to his office and when I opened the door he was making out with his coworker. Half her clothes gone and his tongue down her throat.” You said, tears still freely falling.
“What a fucking asshole. He’s lucky that I can’t go over there and rip him to shreds.” Chris spat. “Do you need me to go back? I can probably find a flight back tonight. I don’t want you to be alone.” He said calmly. You could hear him tapping on his computer, probably looking for flights back to LA. He was currently in Boston for a couple weeks in between filming.
“I was thinking maybe I can fly out to you? I don’t want to be here, Josh knows where I go when I’m upset and I don’t want to deal with him right now. Plus I heard Boston is pretty nice this time of year. I’m tired of this 80 degree weather in January business.” You chuckled a little. You leaned back in your seat and closed your eyes.
“I think that’s a great idea. My mom has been telling me nonstop how much she wants you to fly out here and see everyone again. I’ll book a flight for you. I’ll be at the airport to pick you up, okay?” He said.
“Thank you, Chris. I don’t know what I would do without you.” You sighed.
~
You’ve been in Boston with Chris for the past couple of days trying to come to terms with the fact that your relationship with Josh is over. You talked to him on the phone after not answering his dozens of calls and messages and decided that the relationship could never recover from what happened and you were better off not being with him anymore.
Chris sat next to you on his couch as you hung up the phone, wrapping his arms around you as sobs left your mouth. After the 3 days or so, although you were still sad, you had started to become angry and frustrated.
“I thought I had finally found a good one. I really did. I thought we were going to be in it for the long run.” You sighed, running your hand across Dodger’s soft fur. He had his head on your lap, almost like he could sense you needed to be comforted and loved. “We talked about moving in together and getting married and starting a family. At this point I might as well just settle for being a crazy catlady and give up on finding someone to settle down with. I’m almost 30 for fucksake.” You scoffed.
“You’re going to find someone Y/N. I have no doubt that your perfect guy is out there somewhere.” He smiled slightly at you. It hurt him more than anything seeing you so upset, he wanted nothing more than to see you happy. Josh made you happy, but you seemed to always have hesitations in your relationship with him.
Although you had talked about your future with Josh, there was something holding you back from fulfilling those hopes and dreams with him. Something inside of you always held back from moving forward with Josh. He had asked you to move in with him right before your anniversary, but you told him you weren’t ready for that and told him to bring it up before the end of the year.
He had asked you about getting married and the possibility of him proposing to you, but you dismissed it and avoided any further questions about it. You always feared that as soon as you started to settle down that Chris would suddenly realize that he had feelings for you and would confess it, and you couldn’t do anything about it. It was silly. You felt like it was your fault that Josh cheated on you. Maybe he was tired of waiting for you.
You sat there in your thoughts for a while, absentmindedly petting Dodger. You looked over at Chris and saw his gaze focused on the TV in front of you. You had your legs tossed over his thighs, your back against the side of the couch, Dodger tucked between your legs and the back of the couch.
Chris had his hands resting on your legs, one by your knee and another by your ankle. You were both under respective blankets, shielding yourself from the cold. It seemed so domestic to you. You had always done this sort of thing with Josh but it just never felt right. You never felt like you were at home whenever you were with him.
“I should probably get some sleep. I’ve got a long day of traveling tomorrow.” You sighed deeply, sliding your legs off of his and moving the blanket from your body. You stood up from your spot on the couch and stretched your muscles a bit. Chris stood up with you and wrapped his arms around your shoulders, bringing you closer to him. You wrapped your arms around his waist put your head against his chest.
“You’re going to get that family, Y/N. You’ll settle down with the perfect guy and have everything you’ve ever wanted. I’m sorry Josh is such an asshole and didn’t realize what he was losing. You deserve so much better than that piece of shit and you’re going to get it. I have no doubt.” He said to you. You teared up a little bit at his words and just stood there in his embrace.
Your heart was telling you to scream to him right there and then how much you love him and that he’s the perfect guy and you want to be with him for the rest of your life. But your brain reminded you of the consequences of telling him how you feel if he didn’t feel the same way. You internal conflict brewed within you and before you could do anything, you pulled away from his warm embrace and walked up the stairs to the guest room.
You woke up the next morning to the smell of coffee filling your nose. Your eyes fluttered open as you rolled over to check the time. It was a little after 9am, and you had to be at the airport in a couple hours. You sat there for a few minutes before peeling the covers off your body getting out of bed. You shuttered at the cold tile against your feet as you walked towards to kitchen, the smell of coffee getting stronger.
As you entered the kitchen you saw Chris leaned against the counter with a mug in one hand, his phone in the other. You admired how effortlessly handsome he was. He was wearing a t-shirt with some sweatpants, his hair disheveled and a tired expression painting his face.
He noticed you come in and shot you a small smile and immediately grabbed another mug and started making you coffee. You graciously accepted the warm cup and started to drink it, hoping it would take away some of your exhaustion.
“How did you sleep?” He asked quietly.
“Not too well. I’m kinda anxious about going back to LA.” You replied.
“You don’t have to go back yet, you’re more than welcome to stay here longer. Dodger and I love the company.” He shot you a sympathetic smile.
“I think it’s time for me to go back and face everything. I can’t avoid it forever. I need to clean out my apartment of everything that reminds me of him and start fresh. Maybe it’ll help me feel better.” You sighed. “Or maybe I’ll go crazy and wreck the place and never go back. Who knows?”
Chris chuckled and continued to sip his coffee. You stood there in a comfortable silence for a while, finishing your cup and scrolling through your phones. After about 15 minutes you went back to your room to get some of your stuff together before you needed to leave for the airport.
You were seriously contemplating staying with Chris for a couple more days, dreading the moment you have to walk back into your apartment. As you were packing your things Chris walked into the room and sat down on the edge of the bed.
“So there’s a massive snow storm coming and the airport is cancelling all flights out of Boston until further notice. Roads are going to be shut down by tomorrow. We’re expecting more than 5 feet of snow. Looks like your staying longer after all.” Chris said, looking at his phone. You let out a sigh of relief and collapsed on the bed.
“Guess you’re happy about it, huh?” He questioned. He moved your suitcase off the bed and laid on the bed next to you. You were both on your backs, you were staring at the ceiling and you could feel Chris looking at you.
“I didn’t really want to go back, it’ll just make everything real.” You sighed. You don’t ever want to go back. Being here with Chris brings you so much happiness, even if you’re here because of terrible circumstances.
“You don’t have to go back if you don’t want to. I’m here for a couple more weeks and then we’re supposed to be back on set in Atlanta. You can stay until then and we can leave from here.” You looked over at him with hope in your eyes.
“Seriously? I know you’re here to spend time with your family I don’t want to take you away from that.” You said, looking over at him. You could see something in his eyes. They seemed to be sparkling, you couldn’t understand why.
“Y/N, it doesn’t matter where I am, there’s always a spot for you where I am. You can stay with me for as long as you want.” He said, looking you in the eyes. The corners of your mouth tugged up in a smile.
There was something about the moment that made your heart beat faster and the butterflies in your stomach go crazy. Every nerve in your body was telling you to tell him how much you love him, how badly you want to be with him. You wanted a forever with him. Every dream you had about your future involved him and there was nothing that could change that.
“Chris, can I tell you something? I just feel like I need to get something off my chest and it may work out in my favor, but it may not. I just can’t keep it in anymore.” You began. He nodded slightly and you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath.
“I love you. I’ve loved you since the moment we met. You are my everything and I don’t want to live without you by my side. You make me feel things that I have never felt for anything, not Josh not anyone I’ve ever been with. You are it for me. You are my endgame. Anything I ever do in my life, I want to do it with you.” You proclaimed. His breath hitched in the back of his throat after the first 3 words. His eyes scanned your face for any signs that you were joking, or just messing with him. All he saw was the way you looked at him with such love and admiration. He couldn’t seem to find the words to say.
He brought his hand up to your face and brushed a piece of your Y/H/C out of your face before cupping your cheek. Your breath hitched in your throat at his intimate gestures and continued to scan his face.
The next thing you knew he brought your body on top of his and pulled your face down and planted the most loving kiss you have ever received onto your lips. You placed your hands on either side of his face, deepening the kiss, craving more. His hands moved to your waist, pulling your bodies closer together.
“So I’m guessing you feel the same way?” You whispered as you pulled back, Chris whining at the loss of contact.
“I can’t even begin to explain the way I feel about you, but I hope that kiss is a good place to start.” He breathed. You smiled down at him and pressed your lips against his once again. Every single nerve in your body was on fire. You couldn’t begin to explain the way you felt. After a few minutes you pulled back and rolled off of Chris’ body and laid next to him. Your head in the crook of his neck and your hand going up to his face.
“I am utterly and absolutely crazy for you, Chris Evans.” You purred, snuggling up closer to his body.
“And I am utterly and absolutely crazy for you, Y/N Y/L/N.” He gushed. He wrapped his arms around your body, bringing you as close as he possibly can, not wanting to ever let you go. “So since this is a forever thing, should we talk about baby names?” He said in a serious voice. You looked up at his and your Y/E/C eyes met his piercing blue ones.
“Baby, love you more than anything in this world. But if you are thinking we’re naming our son Tom or Brady… you’ve got another thing coming, Evans.” You chuckled. He dramatically sighed and looked you dead in the eyes.
“And to think, I was going to buy you your dream house and help you fill it with kids. I just can’t believe you won’t let me name just one of those kids Brady.” He said shaking his head. You lightly smacked his chest before breaking out into a fit of giggles.
“You’re gonna buy me my dream house? What about WE buy OUR dream house?” You grinned. He grabbed one of your hands and brought it up to his lips before a smiled graced his perfect face.
And that’s exactly what you did.
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting. (1)
»»————««💌»»————««
a month prior
Chris was getting older, there was no denying that. He was forty and still hadn’t found the ‘one,’ yet. Every relationship he had entered seemed to go in the same pattern of amazing highs and devastating lows, them all resulting in a breakup. So after much thought, he found himself jerking off over a small test tube trapping his sample inside. Hoping one day, his true love will be in possession of it and they can begin his dream—a big happy Boston family.
“We’ve put your sample in the freezer and it won’t be defrosted until we get legal confirmation from you personally.” Dr. Perez said, standing from her desk.
Chris stood up as well, holding his hand out and clasping it onto hers with a firm shake. “Thank you so much. Hopefully, that day is soon.” He smiled.
“Hopefully.” She sighed, trying not to allow her mind to wander off onto the pages of her own tragic love life.
See, Dr. Eleanor Perez and her wife Kaitlyn Perez were at faults. No fault of her own, it’s just that her wife couldn’t stop fucking cheating. Kaitlyn didn’t even have the decency not to fuck her other partners in their shared bed at their Boston home. It was becoming unbearable for Eleanor, and the only thing that was making things tolerable was the euphoric feeling she got when she finished another bottle of wine each night.
Last night was Moscato, tonight—maybe Josh, Behringer even. Whether it was red or white she just wanted to feel nothing at the end of it.
Chris walked out of the doctor's office, twirling his car keys on his fingers and unlocking his Audi, diving right into the passenger's seat. He loved the stark contrast of Boston versus the restless cities like Atlanta and L.A. Everything about Boston made him feel nostalgic and grounded—and there’s no place he’d rather been.
Chris put his car and drive and pulled out of the facility, then his mind began to wander. He was forty now and any lover he pursued would reasonably be the same age. He selfishly wanted a big family but wasn’t willing to just shack up with anyone. Chris had the vision of a big bold primary-colored relationship that would sweep him off his feet and never put him down. And he just hadn’t found that yet.
Through extensive research, he found older pregnancies were risky and if done intentionally it is better to perform in the office. So he stored his sample—he just hoped he could put it to use soon because he was craving a simple life filled with simple love.
—two weeks later—
You’d never liked the doctor's office. You’d rather be in a prison cell with Pablo Escobar taking turns drinking toilet water than end up here. Everything from the nurses, needles, and the particularly clean environment sent shivers down your spine. You wanted nothing more than to be in and out.
But today you sucked it up for your once-a-year physical, which included a pap smear, a feeling you still hated even though you’d been getting it since you were eighteen. You sat in the waiting room clutching your jacket closer to your body as the Boston fall breeze blew inside behind people as they went in and out of the building.
“Geez.’ You blew into your hands. “You’d think this place could afford heating.” You rolled your eyes feeling your phone vibrate in your lap.
Msg from Vada🐣: How’s it going? You scared yet?
Msg from Y/N: Petrified. I’m cold too. 😔
Msg from Vada 🐣: Come to my place after, I’ll warm you up with hot cocoa.
You smiled as you bit your lip typing your message to Vada.
Msg from Y/N: Stop being a better best friend than me.
Msg from Vada 🐣: You know I love competition, Y/n. Call me when it’s over.
Msg from Y/n: shut up bitch.
Msg from Vada 🐣: Call me and then I will, jerk.
You laughed shoving your phone into your purse. Most days it felt like Vada was the best thing to happen to you. she was your best friend since childhood and nothing could break you two apart, she was always there for you. Sometimes too much that it was overbearing and bothersome but with some reflecting, you wouldn’t have it any other way with anyone else.
“Y/n Y/L/n.” A nurse called, peeking her head around a heavy wooden door.
You swallowed hard, holding tightly onto your purse. “That’s me.”
“We’re ready for you.” The nurse smiled, widening the door as you walked over.
“Right.” You mumbled underneath your breath, keeping your head down.
“Alright, just head over to room number five and Dr. Eleanor will be right in.” She smiled, her eyes were wrinkled in the corner.
“Okay.” You said just above a whisper, slipping into the room.
Once the door behind you shut you let out a loud groan slipping into the cheap pink examination gown they had laid out for you. Hearing the lab desk creak at the slightest touch you climbed up onto it laying backward and scrolling on your phone hoping to desperately dissipate from this place.
You settled into a comfortable position opening Google docs and returning to one of your students essays. You worked as a high school English teacher and last week you had assigned your students to compare a modern tale rather it be from literature or pop culture to the story of Frankenstein.
You got an array of different essays, some being too bland to be the work of juniors and seniors and others making you cackle at the attempt. But one stood out in particular. Aria Evans—a junior in your A.P English class. She never seized to empress you and this essay comparing the tragic story of Joaquin Phoenix’s joker and Frankenstein almost had you falling off the lab desk at how compelling and complete it was.
Every claim had evidence to back it up, and the diction, boy was her diction strong. Her stance was firm and she supported it from thesis to conclusion.
“Wow,’ you gasped, almost laughing at how perfectly curated her work was.
“Ms. Y/n!” A voice spoke almost sending you into a frenzy.
“Huh?” You lifted up off the desk, completely unaware your doctor had been calling you for some time now.
“Am I,’ Dr. Eleanor coughed. “Am I interrupting something?” She slowly put on her gloves, her hand missing several times.
“Um, no. I’m sorry I was lost in my students work.” You said, biting your nails.
“Right.’ Dr. Eleanor slide over to you in her rolling chair. “Let’s get this show on the road.” She snapped her last glove on.
“Right.” You kissed your teeth together laying back down, hoping the process would be over shortly.
“That was quick,” Eleanor said, flicking at the syringe she held.
“What was quick?” You said, trying your best to peak down at her but you couldn’t see past your spread legs.
“Just this whole process, I thought it would at least be a year—maybe longer.” She yawned.
You grunted at the feeling of the syringe entering you. “Yeah,’ you shifted uncomfortably. “Me too.” You rolled your eyes, hating every moment of this.
“All—all set.” She slurred slightly.
“That was fast.” You sat up, clutching your bare chest.
“Yeah.’ She sniffled, tossing her gloves out. “Life usually is.”
“Yeah.” You said, watching her slumped form as she grabbed the clipboard. “I’ll send your results at the end of the month.”
“What results?” You asked, furrowing your eyebrows together.
Dr. Eleanor laughed. Looking down at her clipboard and suddenly the world around her froze. Her heart began racing and her palms began to sweat. What had she just done?
“Your um, your, pap…pap smear—your pap smear results!” She blurted out louder than intended.
You took in Dr. Eleanor’s form. She did not look alright, her skin was red and almost looked hot to touch and she was sweating profusely.
“Um, oh alright.’ You said, skeptically. “Am I good to go?” You pointed at your folded clothes.
“Yep, I’ll see you in a year!” She waved, slamming the door behind her and running to the lady's room.
Once there she pulled out a sterile syringe and filled it with warm water and made her way to room six with shaky hands. She knew she needed to stop drinking before work—if she hadn’t Chris Evan's sample wouldn’t be walking out of here inside some random woman and she wouldn’t be about to inseminate a woman with warm water instead of her Husband Chris Ellison's sample.
She was just hoping faith was on her side, along with statistics. She knew you only had about a twenty percent chance of getting pregnant and you were young, only thirty years old so there was a chance your body would reject it and you’d take it as a heavy period. God she hoped with every drunk fiber in her bones that ended up being the case.
“Alright, Ellison family.” Her voice warbled. “Are you ready for your insemination?”
—about one month later—
You were not feeling well. Everything you ate you wanted to puke up, and you were seriously starting to regret ordering that sushi takeout last night.
“Never again.” You groaned into your hands.
As the bell rung your A.P English section for juniors started to pile in. You stood up and made your way to the printer gathering your papers as you felt something wet trickle down your face.
You wiped your hand over it pulling it down and taking a look. Sweat? You thought. Why were you sweating? And profusely. You shook it off just like you wanted to do your stomach ache—but that wouldn’t go away.
“Good morning amazing people!’ You greeted your class, getting grumbles or silence in response. You were used to it at this point. “I was thinking today we could go over some SAT techniques for the English portion. I know we aren’t even into our second semester yet, but it’s always good to prepare early, right.” You took a phone from your student Hunter's hand as you walked past.
“So firstly,’ you gaged as you tried to sit in your stool in front of the class. “What you should…what you should.’ You coughed, trying to shake off the dizzy feeling and ignore the floaters that covered your vision.
You stood up from the stool immediately feeling the blood rush from your brain to the bottom of your body leaving your top half numb as your vision was cut off by enormous floaters and you fell to the floor blackness surrounding you.
“Ms. Y/L/N!” Aria shouted, holding onto you as you were passed out on the floor. “Call the front desk!” Aria told her best friend Cayley.
You had woken up and immediately noise surrounded your ears. You were no longer in your class room, instead you were in a hospital bed with a bandage on your forehead. Fuck what happened? You thought.
“Y/n,” Vada said, walking into the room. “Thank god.” she hugged you.
You hugged her back. “What happened?” You groaned.
“You passed out at school girl.’ Vada rubbed your back slowly. “The doctors are running some tests right now.”
“Alright.’ Both you and Vada heard a voice come into the room.“Oh hello.’ The doctor said. “Y/n, how’s your head?”
“Um. Fine I guess. Is everything alright with me?” You asked nervously.
“I would say so.’ He rolled over to you. “Blood work is excellent, except one thing we picked up.”
“What, food poisoning?” You chuckled.
“No. Pregnancy.” He said.
“What?” You laughed.
Vada gasped, looking down at you with concern.
“I’m assuming you didn’t know.’ He began.
“Didn’t know what?’ His words echoed through your ears. “I’m not pregnant!” You pleaded, looking between him and Vada as tears began to rim your eyes.
“Blood test are usually extremely accurate, so I don’t see that being possible. If you need time to process, I understand.” He said.
“Time to process what! I’m not pregnant!” You yelled as your voiced cracked. “Do another test, now!” You demanded.
“The only other test we have is a urine test. Would you like that?” He rolled his eyes slightly.
“Yeah I would!” You spat
The doctor shook his head leaving the room. And just as he left the room fell into silence, before Sebastian spoke up.
“Are you seeing someone.” Vada pushed you and spoke barely above a whisper.
“What?” You turned and looked up at her.
Vada smacked her lips and tilted her head. "Are you fucking someone?" She bit her lip doing a weird thrusting motion with her hips.
You scoffed not here for her shenanigans, as a tear fell from your eye. “No, I’m not fucking anyone! Why would you—how could you ask me that!”
“I’m just wondering.” She held her hands up. “Sorry.” She felt bad.
“What the fuck is happening Vads.’ You whimpered into your hands. “I haven’t fucked anyone in months.”
Vada’s face softened as she grabbed your small hand into hers. Vada was also a single mother and had no intentions on letting you go through this alone. “Whatever it is,’ she swiped her thumb over the pad of your hand. “We will figure it out, together.” She smiled softly.
Just then the door swung open as the doctor walked in with two cups. One filled with water and the other empty and stick in his other hand.
“Alright, drink this and pee in this.” He handed you both cups.
“Right,’ you sighed, swallowing the water and getting up to go to the bathroom.
Once you finished peeing you sat back down and the doctor took your cup dipping the stick inside.
“Pink means pregnant.” He pulled the stick out and all you saw was hot pink.
“How?” Your voice cracked. “I haven’t had sex in..in months.”
"Are you sure about that?" The doctor said, leaning into you.
"If she said she's sure, she's sure, asshat." Vada’s nostrils flared.
"Vads." You said softly, grabbing her arm to calm her down. "I...I don't know how this is possible,' You struggled to keep the tears at bay. "I haven't done anything with anyone in so long."
"Maybe it's a medical miracle." You laughed wiping off your tears. "or a hormonal thing."
"Yes, pregnancy hormones.' The doctor said. "Look I can do two things for you, I can leave a message at your gynecologist's office and set you an appointment. And,' He dug into his white coat pocket. "I can give you these." He handed you a vile of two small white pills.
"What are these?" You sniffled.
"Pills to get rid of your miracle baby, if that's your choice." He explained. "You have a few weeks to think on it, Dr. Eleanor should be calling you in a few days."
He walked near the door holding onto the handle and letting his teeth sink into his bottom lip. "Congratulations."
your eyes remained moving rapidly as you try desperately to grapple with your reality. How could be pregnant, there must have been a mistake. Your eyes watered as another tear fell from your eyes.
"Y/n, what are you thinking?" Vada said softly.
"I—nothing.' Your mouth fell open. "I'm so confused."
Vada walked around sitting in front of you, looking deep into your eyes. "I'll support you, no matter what you want to do." she smiled.
You sighed, throwing yourself into her arms. Vada was always there for you and it made your cherish your friendship with her more. "I love you, Jerk." Your mumbled into her slender shoulders.
She hugged you back, pulling you closer to her and sticking her nose into your messy curls. "I love you more, bitch."
— two weeks later—
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting. (1)
"Now, Mr. Evans I have requested you here to own up to my mistakes.' Dr. Eleanor said, wiping her clammy hands onto her slacks and avoiding Chris's intense blue eyes.
"What mistake, doc." Chris's leg bounced up and down as he grinned his teeth.
"About two months a go—I...I um,' She coughed. "Accidentally artificially inseminated a woman with your sperm." She spat out the truth.
Chris's ears began to ring and his eyes went wide. "What.' His voice cracked. "Did you just.' He paused, hyperventilating. "Fucking say."
Dr. Eleanor bit the inside of her lip squeezing her eyes shut, wishing it wasn't real. Wishing she hadn't been drunk or that she had payed more attention to her call sheet.
"In—initially I thought I had no reason to tell you. There was only a twenty percent chance she'd get pregnant.' She swallowed hard. "But she did, so."
Chris's back sunk into his seat as his nostrils flared. "She did what?" He knew what it was but he wanted her to say the words.
"She um.' Eleanor hung her head low. "She's pregnant."
Chris slapped his hand on the desk, standing from his seat. "who is she?" Dr. Eleanor jumped back. "Huh?" His Boston accent breaking through.
"I can't tell you that. Legally." Dr. Eleanors voice shook.
Chris rolled his eyes, his hands folding into a fist. "But you could legally get someone pregnant by my sperm! Someone I don't even know!' His blood began boiling by the second. "Someone I don't even trust, someone whose the very reason I came to you!" He yelled.
"You know what," He sucked in a deep breath. "We're done here." He walked towards the door. "You'll be hearing from my lawyers." He slammed the door behind himself.
"Stupid fuck." He spoke to himself as he pulled his phone to his ear. "Yeah, I need your help finding someone—but I don't know where to start."
It took a whole week for his team to find you but they did. Y/N Y/L/N. You were an English teacher at miller high school right here in Chris’s hometown. He had also found out you taught his niece Aria which didn’t help him. At all.
He’d wanted to approach you, get a feel for you. But what would he even say. ‘Hey I’m the guy your pregnant by.’
“We have to be smart about this Chris.’ His manager said to him, fluffing out his hair in the mirror. “You can’t just walk up to the girl and say ‘I’m your baby daddy, oh and by the way my name is Chris Evans and I’m a huge celebrity.” She flailed her arms about.
“I’m not gonna do that. I just want a conversation.” Chris said. “I want to talk to her, see if she’s even still pregnant.”
“And if she’s not?”
Chris sighed. “Then we put it behind us.”
His manager folded her arms, staring at him. “You want this baby, don’t you?” She asked.
“What I want, is to meet her.” Chris tapped danced around this question.
“And you will, just in the right way.’ She said. “I can’t have her leaking this to the press and spinning the story. We’ll right up a contract and give her some hush money.”
“Maybe she won’t say anything.” Chris gave you the benefit of doubt.
His manager scoffed. “Chris, baby. Do you realize who you are? You can look up your net worth online she’ll definitely talk.”
“Well how do I meet her?’ He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“We will find her and set up a meeting, if and only if she signs the contract.”
“And if she doesn’t?” Chris asked.
“Then I guess you won’t be a daddy, now will you.” She tapped his nose with her manicured finger tip.
Chris grabbed her arm. “You can’t do that, it’s not fair to me. or her.”
“Release my Prada.’ She said, feeling Chris loosen his grip. “I’m doing this for you, and your safety.”
“Is this what my protection is going to feel like, hm? Guilt.”
“Don’t worry, she’ll sign. I promise.”
The day had ended and it was a miserable one. You couldn’t keep anything down and your head pounded each time the bell rung. All you wanted to do was go home and kick your feet up and sip on some ginger tea.
You packed your bag slowly as a soft knock against your classroom door caught your attention. You turned around furrowing your eyebrows as a women in a pants suit and a man with a briefcase stood at the arch of your doorway.
“Can I help you?” You pushed a curl behind your ear.
“No, but we can help each other.” The woman spoke. “I’m particularly interested in you and the baby you’re carrying, and so is my client.”
You gasped, holding your stomach. “What—who, what do you want.” You said, shielding the thing you currently held in you stomach.
“My client wants to meet you, but I’m not letting that happen until you sign these papers.” She said with a straight face, putting a stack of papers and a pen in-front of you.
“Whose your client?’ You grumbled, looking at the papers.
“Sign and I’ll tell you.”
“Tell me and I’ll sign.”
She laughed, looking you up and down. “You’re a little minx, aren’t you?”
“Who is he?” You pressed further.
She looked down racking through the stack until she found her golden ticket. “Sign this and I’ll tell you, I promise.”
You looked her up and down not knowing if you should trust her. Whoever her client was he had to be big time, and you hoped he wasn’t a mafia boss. You took the pen in your hand hesitantly signing the dotted line.
“Good girl.’ She smiled. “Just letting you know that was an non disclosure agreement and if you speak anything of your pregnancy or who the father is we will hunt your ass down.’ She smiled. “And by we, I mean him.” She pointed to the large man besides her.
Your breathing hitched. “Who, is, he.” You said breathlessly.
“Ever heard of Chris Evans.”
Your eyes clutched together, the name was eerily familiar and you just wish you had a face to match.
“Um I think so, I’m just trying to recall what he looks like.” You said, pulling at your hair.
The woman looked you up and down, clearly not believing you had no clue who Chris was.
“I find that hard to believe.” She snorted. “Meet us at the address Saturday morning, he wants to meet you.”
You picked up the small piece of paper with an address on it. “Fuck.” You whispered.
What the hell were you in for.
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (2)
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (2)
You looked down at your sweaty palms as you rode the elevator up to the one and only penthouse of the address you had been given. This luxury Boston complex was one you’d never thought you’d be able to see the inside of, until now.
You were still grappling with the idea of being newly pregnant in the most unconventional way and by the most unconventional person imaginable. You sat by your beside all Friday evening looking up pictures of Chris, watching his talk show interviews and looking at his socials. You also sat at your bed side looking at the tiny vile of pills. Something in you wanted to chug them and leave this whole thing behind you, this whole nightmare. But another part of you wanted this—whatever this was.
The elevator dinged snapping you from your thoughts. You took in a deep breath. Walking toward the one and only door that existed on this floor. You walked towards the door not even getting a chance to knock on the heavy wood before it swung open revealing the blonde woman from yesterday.
“Hi little minx.” She smiled. “Come In.” She ushered you through the doors.
You gasped, looking around at the beautiful Boston penthouse. It was ten times the size of the tiny studio you rented.
“Beautiful isn’t?’ You nodded, not sure if you should speak or not. “I’m sure you’ll get a tour once you deliver that bundle of joy.”
You held your still flat belly, although you did feel a bit of resistance when you bent down lately. You hadn’t realized how fast the thing was developing. You hadn’t even fully committed to having this baby and she already expected you to bring his baby to full term.
“This way.’ She held the small of your back, pushing open a door which led into a large conference room.
The room was filled by a long black table the stretched its length. You were sat into a chair opposite from the other head of the table. The room occupied a few people that you discovered were other members of Chris’s team—including the burly man from Friday.
“So.’ His manager spoke up. “How far along are you?” She slipped into the firm leather desk chair besides you.
You stiffened, the continued reminder that you have a living being inside of you put your breathing to a halt. “I’m—I’m not—I don’t know.” You stammered, trying to find your words.
“Add that to the terms of the agreement, Skylar.’ She snapped at a woman, whose laptop was wide open along with her eyes.
Skylar typed away, pushing her glasses back up to the bridge of her nose.
“What?” You asked confused. “You’re making me sign terms of agreements?”
“Well obviously.” She laughed. “Did you think you could just get pregnant by Chris Evans and not sign any papers?”
Your nostrils flared and tears began to inflame your eye rims. “I didn’t get pregnant by Chris Evans.” You tried to hold your composure.
Olivia, his manager leaned in. Her breath grazed against your ears. “You’re right. As far as I’m concerned you’re just a surrogate.’ She pulled back, caressing your lower belly softly. “And I need you to take good care of Chris’s baby for the next nine months.”
You kissed your teeth together. “How about I just fucking end it? Hm.’ You chuckled standing up. “I’m out of here, tell your client he’s going to have to jerk off over a tube again!” You shouted, pushing out of your chair and heading towards the door.
“Is there a problem?” A voice said. One you had grown to know over the last few hours.
“Chris.” Olivia gasped, hoping he hadn’t heard your outburst. “She was just going for a drink of water.” She lied.
“No, I was just leaving.” You whipped around wiping your eyes with your palms.
You turned around and there you saw them for the first time. His blue eyes sweep over your body in awe. He couldn’t believe you were here, holding his baby. He wanted to reach out and touch your belly, get to know you, and discuss baby names. But he couldn’t, not yet. He needed a veil of protection and his team wouldn’t let that happen without one.
“You must be Y/n.’ He choked out finally, walking over to you. “I’m Chris.” He stood before you, towering over your frame, holding his large hand out for a shake.
You looked at his hand, staring completely frozen. You weren’t sure how much time had passed while his hand had just stood there, almost growing desperate for a shake.
“So you’re Chris Evans?” You ignored his hand shake, sitting down.
“Yeah.” Chris frowned, walking to the opposite side of the table and taking a seat. “I’m sorry about this.”
You scoffed. “Which this? The this that I’m pregnant this? Or the this that I didn’t know I needed my own team of attorneys this?” Your hands shook and you we’re just ramping up. “Or maybe the this that I’m just a fucking surrogate and you’re gonna take whatever this.’ You motioned to your stomach. “Is from me when it’s over.”
Chris’s jaw dropped, he could have only expected your were taking the pregnancy just about as good as he was, which wasn’t well. He knew you hadn’t fucked him and he hadn’t slipped up and gotten you pregnant. You were just a woman who got caught up in another woman’s drunken mistake.
“Y/n.’ Chris began. “You’re not a surrogate.”
“Yeah, well tell that to sinister Olivia Pope here.’ You pointed at his manager. “Having me sign all this shit when I’m fucking alone is low.’ You scoffed, your hormones doing the talking. “I should have expected that from a celebrity though—making it all about you.”
Now Chris was starting to get turned off. You didn’t even know him and were already assuming just like a majority of people did.
“You don’t even know me.”
“I know enough.”
Chris pursed his lips together rocking back and forth in his seat. Shutting up and letting his team do the rest of the talking.
“Before we start, do you have any questions Ms. y/l/n?” His lawyer began, licking the pad of this thumb and filling through some papers.
“Nope.” You turned your head, rocking in your seat as a lone tear slipped down your cheek.
“Okay.’ He muttered, feeling slightly bad for you. He sat a pen down besides your hand. “Here I just have the terms of agreements and the second non disclosure agreement, all the important bits are highlighted in yellow for you. Just sign the spots I highlighted in pink.”
You shook your head looking down at the tiny printed words you didn’t understand. Your face scrunched up and your lips warbled and more fast-paced tears you tried to keep up with fell. “I don’t know what any of this is saying.” You croaked.
Chris’s lawyer knew he was supposed to be on his side. But the room was silent and almost everyone had the same feeling in their stomach. Guilt. Especially Chris. He knew his team was just protecting him, but they were really screwing you, and he saw that now and you had every right to be pissed off, confused, and scared in this moment.
“Okay.’ Chris’s lawyer said. “I can help you read through some of it.” He rolled over to her in his desk chair. He took his pen to the paper, looking up at her tearful clouded eyes his stomach sinking more. If it was up to him he’d just make her sign one piece—she just couldn’t talk to the media.
But it wasn’t up to him. Olivia had drafted most of this for Chris’s own protection, and he wasn’t even sure the extent that Chris knew about it.
“This here is basically saying you won’t speak to any media or press about the pregnancy. If you do Chris has the right to sue you.’ He started, you shook your head up and down.
“Understandable.’ You sniffled, signing the line.
He shook his head. “Okay. Here just says.’ He paused making sure he read that with as much empathy as he could muster. “That after a successful full term pregnancy the baby will go to the Evans family, and you’ll be given money in return.”
You winced hearing that. Of course you hadn’t been the most ecstatic about your untimely pregnancy by one of Hollywood’s biggest celebrity. And yes you had nights where you wanted to terminate it and put this behind you. But the idea of feeling this baby grow for nine months and bonding with it and only having it to be taken away broke your heart. Chris Evans was two faced. He was a monster who was breaking your heart.
“What?” Your voiced warbled. “N—no…no!” You shouted, holding your lower belly. “I’m not going to just give this—the baby away, my baby! Because this is my baby too!’ Your voice strained.
Chris felt like shit. And he had now for the last thirty minutes he had watched you fall apart in fear. This was the last thing he wanted for your first meeting and you now undoubtedly hated him. And for good reason, the terms were too outrageous. He couldn’t take care of a newborn all alone, he figured some co-parenting would be set in place. But full-on taking this baby from a woman who hadn’t done anything wrong felt like vilification.
“Don’t sign that.’ He spoke up, fury lining his eyes.
“What?” Olivia looked at him. “Chris. Don’t.”
“No Liv, you don’t.’ He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Why would you even draft something so insane like that?” He grumbled.
“Because we don’t even know her.” Olivia rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, and she doesn’t even know me!’ Chris said looking at you, your teary eyes pulling away immediately. “This is more about your trust issues than mine. Don’t sign that Y/n, please. I don’t want to take your—our baby away from you.” He said.
You could feel the warmth of his words from where you sat, but you still refused to look at him. It was too overwhelming and the last thing you need was to be melted by those Hollywood blue eyes you had looked into all night on your computer screen.
“Chris don’t do this.’ Olivia reached her hand out and placed it onto of his boiling one. “I’m protecting you.”
“Is this what my protection looks like?’ His heart clenched as he heard you sniffle once more.
“Can I have a moment?” You stood up, wiping your eyes again.
“Yes, of course.” Chris’s lawyer coughed adjusting his tie.
Everyone watched as you slipped out of the room, crying profusely. Chris turned in his chair, shaking his head at Olivia.
“Was your goal to embarrass her?” He looked over at Olivia.
Olivia rolled her eyes, letting out an exasperated groan. “No my goal is to be your manager and you’re making my job hard by caring about this nobody.” She pointed to your empty seat.
“She’s not a nobody, Liv!’ He shouted, standing up. “She’s the mother of my child for goodness sake! It doesn’t matter how unconventional or accidental it was. This wasn’t her fault and I won’t make her feel that way! I won’t scare her any more than you already have!” His Boston accent made an appearance, it always did when he was home enough—or angry enough.
“Now excuse me.” Chris walked out of the room, slamming the door behind himself.
He shook his head, walking over to his kitchen and poured himself a glass of water. He drank it wondering where you had gone—probably to the bathroom to cry more and he felt awful just thinking about it.
“Fuck.’ He said to himself, rinsing his cup out and placing it back in the cabinet. When he shut the cabinet door he noticed you.
You were outside on the balcony of his penthouse. The fall breeze whipped through your thick curly hair as you sat on one of the couches looking at the city behind you as the sun began to set.
Chris swallowed, walking toward the glass sliding door and opening it. You noticed him, turning around then turning your attention back to the Boston skyline. Chris sighed, you definitely hated him.
He coughed taking slow steps toward you. He still couldn’t believe you were here carrying the child he had always wanted. It was still the strangest miracle for him.
“Hey.” He said.
“Hi.’ You spoke meekly.
“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” He slide his hands in his pockets, walking closer to you.
“Yeah.’ Another tear escaped you.
Chris winced seeing that. “I’m sorry Y/n. I didn’t know all that was going to be thrown at you.’
“I’m sure you didn’t.” You chuckled, wiping your eyes and finally looking at him.
Chris took a seat besides you, making sure to keep his distance. “I didn’t. I would never want to take this from you.”
“What would you do if I got rid of it?” You said coldly. "The baby."
Chris stomach dropped, he knew about your little white pills and if he was honest he wanted to break into your home and flush them down the toilet. “You wouldn’t, right?”
You picked at the callouses on the inside of your hands. “I’m not sure, I’ve thought about it.”
“Please don’t.’ Chris begged. “I want this.”
“I don’t know what I want.” You stood up.
Chris grabbed your hand gently, sending a shockwave down your body. “Please Y/n, think about it.”
“I have been thinking.’ You removed his hand from yours, cutting off the transmission of electricity you felt.
“What can I do to make this better.” He stepped in front of you, his eyes melting into yours.
You bit your lip, pulling your cardigan tightly against your body as the breeze was becoming too much. “I—I don’t know.” You sighed, walking away and leaving Chris alone on his balcony.
It had been two days since the whole ordeal at Chris’s and you had signed as much as you could before you felt like you were signing your soul away. You slipped into your bed, feeling your phone buzz besides you.
Sighing you grabbed it flipping it over. You saw a notification from Instagram and quickly you opened it. You saw that Chris had followed you and sent you a DM. Hesitantly you opened it.
The blue glow of your screen illuminating your eyes and dark room. Your eyes scanned over his words your heart beating with each line.
“Hey, Y/n I'm sorry if finding your Instagram is weird, but I needed to speak to you. I was wondering if this weekend you’d like to meet up for some coffee? Just you and I and we talk one on one. If that sounds good to you just hit me back on here. Hopefully, your day was well :).
God, maybe he wasn’t as two-faced as you thought. You sighed closing your phone and staring off into the darkness of your room. You didn’t want to think about the baby anymore or Chris and his fucked management team. And the little white pills were starting to light up like a beacon of hope as they illuminated on your bedside.
it was a two-step process, and you'd never have to see Chris again.
But was that what you wanted?
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (3)
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (3)
(the reader is about two and a half months at this point)
Another school week had come to a close and you still hadn't been able to have a proper meal without the aid of ginger ale by your side. your advanced placement section had just left, and most of the high school was clearing out or joining their afterschool activities. You sighed packing your books and laptop away in your tote bag. Before you could shut off your desktop you heard a soft knock on your door.
You turned around and saw Aria Evans standing in your doorway with her basketball uniform on. She was not only brilliant at academics but in sports as well. Basketball in the fall, soccer in the spring. She was guaranteed to get into a stunning university.
"Aria.' You smiled. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, I, um, I was just checking in on you. You know, from a few weeks ago." Her eyes wandered to your stomach which had started to grow at this point causing you to wrap your arms around yourself.
"I'm fine Aria, thank you." You smiled softly.
"Do you know who my uncle is?" She blurted.
you looked down at your shoes, you turned, and finished packing your bag. "No." You lied.
"I don't mean to be in your business, but I overheard my mom and him talking.' She played with the hem of her uniform. "I just wanted to know if it was true."
You sucked in a deep breath, shaking as you expelled it through your nose. "Aria, is this really an appropriate question for you to be asking me?"
"No, I guess not.' She kissed her teeth, walking towards your door. "I just thought you'd be honest is all."
You turned around to face her. "What is there to be honest about if you already know?" You dropped your arms letting your growing belly be on display.
Aria shook her head and pushed open your classroom doors, disappearing into the hallway. You sighed, throwing your hands over your face. Now that a teenager knew your secret you were certain everyone would soon after.
Chris was still shocked you had agreed to get coffee with him after last week's fiasco. This time he wanted it to be just the two of you. No managers, no lawyers, no drama—hopefully.
Chris had gotten a small corner of the cafe for you two to occupy. Now all he had to do was wait for you. it hadn't been long until he saw you walk in. You had your phone in your hand and you were bundled up in scarfs and a long coat, sporting a pair of boots that made your frame look slimmer.
You looked around the cafe obviously looking for him. He took the liberty to bring you to your table. Chris walked over to you and placed a gently hand on your elbow.
“Hi.” He said, a smile could be captured from underneath his Boston baseball cap.
“Hi.” You picked off a curl that hand stuck onto your lipgloss.
Chris smiled softly at you. “We’re over here.’ He felt you stiffen. “By we’re, I mean you and I.” He reassured.
“Right.’ You chuckled softly, following behind him.
“I didn’t know what you’d like. So I left the menu for you.” Chris groaned, sitting down.
“Probably just a ginger ale. I can’t stomach much else.” You explained, feeling a gaging sensation even now.
“That bad, huh?” He asked, feeling bad for you.
“Mhm.’ You nodded, focused on finding a waitress before you puked everywhere.
“Have you told anybody?” Chris sipped on his coffee that was already running cold.
“What?” You turned to look at him.
“About the pregnancy.’ He sat his cup down gently. “I wouldn’t want you going through it alone.”
“Um.’ You coughed to keep your vomit at bay. “Just my best friend Vada. My sister is at LSU, and my mom.’ You paused, not ready to go that deep with Chris yet. “Just my best friend.”
“But I know you’ve told people.” You said finally flagging down a waitress, begging for a bottle of ginger ale.
“How do you know that?” Chris’s eyes bunched together.
You pushed your lips together making them turn white, before opening them to speak. “I teach your niece aria. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a joy and one of my brightest student’s. But she did ask me if I was pregnant by you the other day.”
“God.” Chris shook his head. “I’m sorry about her, she must have heard me and my sister talking.”
“It’s fine.’ You smiled shortly, downing your first sip of ginger ale. “So what did you want to talk about?’ You burped. “Sorry.”
Chris stifled a laugh. “Just the baby, I suppose.” Chris had so much he wanted to talk about, but he wanted to take it slow with you. He could tell you were still holding back.
“What about the baby?” You asked, finally not feeling goosebumps when you said that word. You were finally bonding with your little ball of a mistake and you kind of liked it—just hoped it would stop making you sick.
“Well maybe we should set up an ultrasound, and get you some prenatal vitamins. Maybe even a home birth nurse, and a doula for after you give birth.” Chris rambled.
You took a sip of your ginger ale, laughing as your lips attached to the bottle. “Someone did their research.’ You chuckled, Chris doing the same. “I just can’t afford those things and I’m already paying high insurance for something unrelated.’ You sighed. “Let’s just start at the ultrasounds and store bought prenatal vitamins—and I’ll only have pizza twice a week.”
Chris looked you up and down, you really didn’t even think of him as an option in getting you those things. He wanted the two of you to be a team on this. He needed you to know you can trust him and he wants the best for you and his baby.
“Well, I mean I could always pay for it.’ Chris took a sip of his coffee, his blue eyes staring at you through the heat that seeped from his cup.
“Ha.’ You snorted. “That’s some really expensive stuff.’ You pulled out your phone typing away. “A doula alone is anywhere from eight hundred to twelve hundred a night.” You shook your head.
“Well I’m not on a regular salary.” He said.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” You folded your arms.
Chris sat his cup down, and leaned back spreading his arms on the cushion of the couch. “Just means if we want something for our baby, I can get it.” He said, with a rough low voice. “You’re just gonna have to trust me.”
“We’ll see.’ You said, looking him up and down. “I’ll set an ultrasound for next weekend, with my new gynecologist by the way.” You rolled you eyes. “Have you done anything with Perez yet? I can’t afford to.”
“My teams working on something, she’ll get what’s coming for her. We’ll cover your butt too so don’t worry about it.” Chris said, not wanting you to stress about it.
“Right.’ You finished your bottle.
The moment got quiet for you and Chris and the air around you began to thicken as he stared at you with those ocean eyes. Reading you. Studying you. You shifted uncomfortably coughing and moving your eyes from his direct line of sight.
He spoke. “Do you still have the pills?”
You knew this question was coming. You knew how much Chris wanted this, how obviously he feared with one choice it could be over for him. It was your turn to read Chris and he looked worried, every part of his firm body softened praying your truth matched his want—his hope.
You swallowed, tucking your lips inward. “I flushed them.” You admitted.
You could hear Chris audibly gasp, it was a sound of relief. “Why?” He asked, feeling his hope rising as you spoke.
You sighed, crossing your legs the tip of your boot touching his knee cap. “Because I want this.”
Chris smiled brightly, almost too brightly. God, he wanted to hug you. But he wouldn’t. It felt like something he could maybe sneak in after you had given birth. But for now the relationship still felt professional.
“I’m so glad to here you say that.” His smile still visible under his hat.
“You really want kids?” You asked him.
“A big Boston family.” He said.
“Well I’m only giving you one, so cherish it.” You laughed a bit.
“Right.’ Chris laughed along. “And you?”
“Hm?’ You tilted your head to the side.
“Want any kids?” He asked.
“No, but I guess I do now.” You smiled somberly, rubbing your growing belly.
Chris sat up looking down at your sweater covered womb. He almost reached for it, but he didn’t want to violate. “May I?” He blurted.
Your eyes went wide. Did you let him touch you? You almost wanted to say no. But this was his child too. “Yes.” You said hesitantly.
Chris’s hand reached out slowly toward yours belly, as he gently placed it onto you lower abdomen. He couldn’t feel much physically— but spiritually he felt his child and he loved their first touch. He smiled as his eyes watered. Chris was really going to be a daddy.
“You can’t feel much yet.” You said, looking down at Chris’s large hand.
“I know. It’s firm though.” He moved his hand.
“It isn’t always like that, so I guess that’s something.”
“Why do you touch it? Your belly?” He asked.
You were starting to notice that Chris was full of questions. “Just a comfort, knowing I’m not all alone anymore. Someone’s here with me.” You were honest.
Chris nodded and the room fell silent again for you two. Mostly because there was so much both of you wanted to say but were just to afraid to say, and you’d already rested enough water for today it felt.
“I’m going to order my Uber.” You spoke up, breaking the ice.
“Uber?” Chris asked. “I can drive you.”
“No, no.’ You waved him off. “It’s fine.”
“Y/n,” Chris placed his warm hand on your knee it jump slightly. “I insist, Ubers aren’t safe anyways.”
“You don’t live too far from here anyways.” He said.
Your eyebrows furrowed. “How do you know where I live?” You lowered your phone.
Chris’s eyes went wide. Embarrassed he had let that slip. “Well when I needed to find you I hired a private investigator and I guess he went really private.” He said watching your face fold in confusion.
“You hired someone to find me?” You stood up, trying to keep your voice to a minimum.
Chris stood up too. “Well yes, how else could I have found you.” He justified.
“I’m gonna wait for my uber outside.” You shook your head, tucking your coat to your body.
Chris rolled his eyes. Boy you were a stubborn one. He followed after you catching the door you had slammed, not knowing if it was intentional or not.
“Hey,’ he jogged toward you. “Y/n, cancel it.” He sighed, holding his hands on his hips.
“Why?” You asked, not looking at him.
“Because I’m taking you home.” He pushed his Audis keys making the car light up from across the parking lot.
“You don’t have to take care about me because I’m pregnant.” You said, shoving a piece of spearmint gum into your mouth.
“I do care about you.”
You laughed, popping a bubble with your gum. “You don’t even know me.”
“Maybe I want to get to know you.’ He said, rolling his keys in his hands.
You let another bubble pop, looking him up and down. God he was mulish. “Fine.”
“Fine what?” Chris almost grinned.
“Fine you can’t take me home.”
Chris smiled. “Perfect.”
The ride had been quiet so far, neither of you know what to say to feel the void. Honestly your Uber would have been more enjoyment than this. You had to say his car did drive nicely, and was oddly clean.
You snickered as you looked out the passenger window, the Boston trees morphing from their summer shades to their fall ones.
“What’s so funny.” Chris asked.
“You.”
Chris looked over at you for a brief moment before focusing back on the rode. “And how am I funny, Ms. Y/n?”
“Your car, it’s just really clean.’ You picked the fuzz off your cardigan. “Does someone do it for you?”
Chris laughed, fixing his baseball cap on his head. “What you think I can’t clean my own car?”
“No, it just looks really clean, like really clean.” You expressed
“And your car isn’t?”
“I don’t have a car.”
Chris frowned. “Oh, I didn’t realize.”
“Wouldn’t call an Uber if u had one.”
“Maybe I can help you with that.” Chris coughed, rubbing the back of his neck.
The car stopped at a red light and so did you heart. This was exactly what you didn’t want to happen. Chris get whim off your financial short comings and wanting to fix everything for you. You didn’t need his help with anything but the baby.
“I can manage.” You grumbled, crossing your arms.
Chris sighed. “I didn’t mean it like that.” He rubbed a hand over his full beard. “I just meant I want to help out where I can.”
“I’ve been saving up from my other job for a while now.’ You said. “No need.”
Chris’s eyes bunched together. When him and his p.i had worked together they hadn’t found you had another job. And they out found almost everything about you. “You have another job besides teaching?” He turned into your small apartment complex.
“Yeah.” You felt the car jolt as he put it into park.
“Where? If you don’t mind me asking.” He turned his body slightly towards you.
You gathered your purse, pushing open his door. “A bar in downtown Boston. I work Saturday and Sunday nights.”
“Why?”
You laughed, holding your belly as you swung out of his low seating car. “Because not all of us can be multimillionaire actors like you.”
Chris swallowed hard. “Right. Well can you text me when you set the appointment, I want to be there.” Chris smiled.
You nodded. “Thank you.’ You said, fumbling with your keys. “For the ride.”
“Anytime.” He smiled. Watching you as you unlocked the door and entered the complex.
Chris released a heavy breath putting his car in drive and pulling off. He hated that you were working two jobs and had no car. He knew it wasn’t his place but he wanted your pregnancy to be comfortable and smooth sailing. Not filled with stress, he wanted to do something for you— a nice jester, he just hoped you didn’t take it wrong.
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (4)
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (4)
(the reader is finally finishing her first trimester, we have to move it along hehe)
Chris wanted to throw his phone against the wall he was so angry. He knew it came with the territory of being a celebrity, but sometimes he wanted to damn the paparazzi to hell. Invading his privacy was one thing, he had lawyers for things like that. But invading yours and the baby's fueled him with unbridled rage.
Maybe it was a sense of protection he was growing over the child you were carrying, but he didn't want your face out there and now it was. Chris blamed himself, he was just so caught up in you and the baby he had been so relaxed and hadn't noticed the camera.
"Fuck, she's probably seen it." He groaned throwing his phone onto his sofa.
"I bet she has." Olivia spat, leading Chris to roll his eyes. "Oh, this one's rich!' She laughed sitting next to Chris. "Captain America star Chris Evans was seen cozied up with homegrown Boston beauty last Friday. The pair were spotted leaving together, Chris holding open the door for his suspected new woman. And is that a baby bump? So, could this mean America's most eligible bachelor is off the market?”
"Fucking E-news!" Chris yelled. "Calling her a Boston beauty, and the bump, fuck!" he tugged at his brown fluffy strands of hair.
"I'm sure she called herself a homegrown Boston beauty.' Olivia mimicked your accent. "Sounds too narssacitic to be press."
Chris practically blew smoke out his nose. “Olivia would you just fucking quit it!” He slammed his hand on the coffee table, pushing himself off the sofa. “She didn’t leak shit! We got caught, that simple!”
“Why are you defending her, huh?’ Olivia turned Chris around by his shoulder. “You don’t even know her!”
“I’m getting to know her!’ Chris shouted. “And I—I like her so far. Yes, she’s a tough cookie to crack. But I like her, and she seems like a good fucking person.” Chris said, bringing his temper down.
Olivia shook her head pointing at Chris. “This isn’t over, I’m calling the press and the news and telling them to take every damn story down, today.” She stormed off, her heels clicking against the marble floor. Chris shook his head as his hands rested on his hips. He really hoped you weren’t hurting somewhere.
You sat with tears in your eyes that were ready to break like the Hoover damn. You never imagined yourself to be so pregnant, and so alone. You held your mom's hand tighter moving all the metal wiring and tubing out of your way. Trying your best to ignore the heart monitor's persistent beeps.
“Mom,’ you sniffled, caressing her motionless hand. “You’re finally going to have a grandbaby, see?’ You leaned back, exposing your growing belly.
But she didn’t move, she never did. Your mother stayed still, her eyes remained closed as a tube roped through her neck doing all the breathing for her.
“Fuck.” You whimpered, pulling at the hospital sheets as you cried into them.
Why was life so unfair and cruel? Especially to the people who did it no harm. Your mom had been in a coma for just over two years at this point. And each day she was left on life support was another day it felt harder to be here. Harder to not be were she was. Or worst.
You remember that night. That night you, your mother, and your younger sister had almost lost your lives to the heinous man you once called your father. He had beaten you along with your sister to a pulp and nearly killed your mother by strangulation. Resulting in her slipping into a coma.
The doctors said if he had strangled her for just another minute, she wouldn't have made it. And from that treacherous night on, you had done nothing but pray she would wake up. Pray she would recover and you all could heal finally, as a family. And he could rot in hell.
A soft knock on the door pulled your attention from your mother, you slowly looked over to the sound and saw your mother's nurse just making her rounds.
“Hi.’ She smiled, clicking a pen alive and scribbling what your were positive was nurse terminology down onto a clipboard.
You noticed in between everything she wrote she would glance at you with a precarious look bestowed on her face. It wouldn’t take long before she finally spoke up.
“Not to be rude.’ She coughed, putting the pen on the collar of her colorful nursing scrubs. “But aren’t you the girl who's dating Chris Evans?”
Your eyes went wide and your heart silent. Your breathing was unusually shallow as you swallowed what ever spit was left in your parched throat. “What?” Being the only word you could muster.
“I’m sorry.’ She laughed, sweeping a red flyaway behind her ear. “It’s just your trending all over social media. They say you’re dating him.’
You didn’t say a word, instead you tore through your bag, pulling out your phone and jamming your thumb on the power button waiting for it to illuminate in your face.
‘Cmon, cmon.” You groaned, pushing into the button harder.
Finally, your phone lit up and you unlocked it heading straight to Twitter's trending page. There you discovered Chris was trending number one. You gasped as your eyes scrolled down the timeline along with your fingertips. Suddenly your phone began to show all of the miss calls and text messages from random numbers and Chris along with your best friend Vada.
You stood up from your chair, leaning down and giving your mother a kiss on her cheek. “I love you, mom.” You smiled somberly into the kiss, pulling away with a sigh.
“And no.’ You looked at the nurse. “I’m not dating him.”
Fuck, should you have said that? You scurried out of the hospital, jumping into the back of your Uber dialing your Vadas number as the sweat continued to pile underneath your arms.
“Bitch, you better explain yourself, and now!” She yelled over the phone.
“Vads, I’m not dating him! I don’t even know how those pictures got out there! Did he really use me as a publicity stunt?” You groaned, looking out the window.
“So you’re not fucking him?” She asked.
“Fuck no! He just wanted to talk and I agreed, then he begged to take me home." You fanned your overheating body. "Fuck, do you think he set me up?”
“It doesn’t seem like it from the pictures.’ Vada typed away on her desktop. “Have you talked to him?”
“No, but I’m going to his house now.” You sighed, biting at your nails. “I know he's probably thinking about me what I’m thinking about him.”
“You think he’ll think it was you?”
“Yup.” You shook your head.
Your Uber came to a halt in front of the penthouse. You said thank you and stepped out closing the door behind yourself.
“I’ll call you back Vads.” You said hanging up.
You looked at your call log and you finger lingered over Chris’s name which was bright red with missed calls. You let the pad of your finger hit it and brung the phone up to your ear.
“Hello, Y/n?”
“Chris, what’s happening?” You asked, walking inside his building.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I wish I knew.”
You took in a deep breath closing your eyes. “Can you let me up?” You ran a hand through your knotless braids.
“Your here?” Chris jumped up.
“Yes, is that okay?”
“More than okay.’ He said, walking toward his home phone that connected to the front desk. “One second.” He sat his cellphone down.
“Hey phill, can you let her up please?”
“Sure thing Mr. Evans, but which one?”
Chris paused, almost wanting to laugh. “What.” The laugh stifled out anyways.
“Well, there’s a pretty brunette here for you and a stunning lady with braids.’ He stood looking at both women. “So which one?”
Chris bit his lip and threw his head back. The last thing he need was to hear Emma's mouth about this. They weren’t even a thing, but she seemed not to take the hint. Or rather hints.
“Send 'em’ both.” He groaned hanging up the phone.
Phil shook his head, hanging his own phone up. “Um ladies,’ he coughed. “You can go through here.” A private elevator opened.
Your eyes scrunched together as you heard a pair of heels clicking behind you. Turning around you saw a fierce brunette walking towards you with fire in her eyes. She looked like something out of a magazine. Her brown hair flowed and bounced as she stomped toward the elevator. You scurried toward the elevator doors behind her, immediately feeling small next to the tall and slender woman. The doors shut in front of you and you began rocking on your heels hoping to elevate some of the tension that contaminated the air.
“So you’re sleeping with my boyfriend and he knocked you up?” Emma asked snarkily.
“What?’ You looked up at her. “No, it was a medical mistake.”
“Not what the news says.’ She crossed her arm, bursting out of the elevator at the ding.
You rolled your eyes, sheepishly following after her. You both reached the front door of Chris’s place. Emma knocked on the door ferociously so that it certainly could be heard from the other side. And it was, Chris opened up the door looking exhausted.
“Really?” She shouted, pushing past him.
You stood there biting the inside of your lip watching him shake his head low.
“Hi.” You said, still standing outside his door frame.
“Hi.” He exhaled, opening space for you to walk through.
"Trouble in paradise?" You chuckled, pointing towards Emma.
"There is no paradise,' he whispered, shutting the door.
"Hm," you said, tugging at your purse strap.
"There's the little minx." Olivia's nose flared as she strutted towards you with Emma behind her.
"That's not even the word for her." Emma ground her teeth together.
Your breath hitched in your throat as you stepped back, not noticing you had cowarded behind Chris who held your arm gently in support.
"I didn't leak that!" You croaked out.
Olivia folded her arms. "So who did?" She smiled, her eyes blinking rapidly.
"I don't know! Maybe the paparazzi!" You shouted unsurely.
"Chris!' Emma shouted, "Why are you touching her?"
"Because you're both acting insane and shouting at her! She's pregnant and I'm done allowing you both, especially you Liv , to torment her!" Chris belted, veins popping out of his neck.
He grabbed the small of your back, leading you to his couch and sitting you down. "Do you want something to drink, I have ginger ale."
You nodded, looking down at your shoes. "Yes."
Emma scoffed, plopping down on the opposite side of the couch, Oliva by her side, staring you down. "Can I have a drink as well, Chris baby?" she said, her eyes never leaving you.
Chris sighed. "Sure Emma, what would you like?" He twisted your ginger ale bottle open, pouring it into a glass.
"You know how I like it, something hot." She smirked at you.
You sat uncomfortably, not sure what her angle was with you.
"So you really didn't leak it?" Olivia asked.
"No, why would I?" You said, growing angry.
Olivia laughed. "Who would pass up an opportunity to be linked to Chris, lots of people just like you want him."
"I get you're protecting him, but the only thing I want to do is be able to eat my favorite foods without puking." You said, thanking Chris as he handed you your drink. "So no, I didn't leak it. Besides, how could I snap a picture from myself across the parking lot?"
Olivia's eyes softened, sitting back against the sofa. "We'll look into, it," She said snarkily.
Chris shook his head, slowly sipping on his expensive aged bourbon. It burning as it went down. “So where do we go from here?”
“We take her out of the public eye, not like she’s memorable. They’ll forget about her soon enough.” Olivia waved it off. “In the meantime, I’m going to set up a nice little PR date night for you and Em so the public will be off your trail.” She explained to Chris.
Chris rolled his eyes. “So what? We write it off like she’s a friend I was helping?” He asked, his arms resting on the top cushion of his sofa.
“Yup.” Olivia said popping ‘p’
“And maybe you and Emma should kiss, really make it seem legit.” She added.
“I’m all for that,” Emma smirked.
Chris leaned forward, rubbing his face with his palm. The last thing he wanted was for the public to believe he was a manwhore, with two women in less than a month it was bound to be a story, he could see it now. But it was for you and the baby. And at this point he would do about anything for the two of you.
“Okay.” He agreed, setting his drink on his coffee table. “Only for y/n.” He said, standing up.
Your head shot up, for most of the conversation you had been silent hoping no one would point a finger at you if you stood still. But now Chris had just bring that attention back on you, and in the most unexpected way.
“What?” You laughed in confusion.
“I’m only doing this ridiculous stunt for you.’ Chris clarified. “You didn’t ask for this.”
He looked into your eyes. “I’m doing this for you and our baby.” He said.
You weren't sure why, but your heart had just skipped a beat. He was so Captain America-like. Running to your defense like you had watched him do before on the big screen.
You brushed a braid, behind your ear. “Thank you.” Your cheeks heated up, and you almost wanted to slap yourself for allowing it.
“Yeah, anytime,” Chris said with a small smile.
Emma scoffed, grabbing her purse and leaving the room. "I can't stand to watch this!" She shouted, slamming the penthouse door.
"That girl is a nutcase." You sipped on your ginger ale, rubbing your belly.
"Tell me about it." Chris groaned.
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (4)
Anxious was an understatement, this was the first ultrasound he would attend. The first time he'd officially meet his baby. Although he had no part in the conception, he never felt more connected to anything in his life. Chris pulled open the doors to the clinic, smiling at the front desk woman as he approached.
Instantly her eyes glimmered over. "Oh my goodness, are you, Chris Evans?" She questioned, frantically pulling out her phone.
He put his finger over his lips shushing her, pulling his baseball cap low. “Yes.” He chuckled.
“Oh my God, I love your work. Could I have a photo?” She giggled, making sure to whisper per his request.
“Sure.” He looked over his shoulder before leaning in. The woman snapped a photo thanking him once more and blowing a kiss.
You just laughed, closing your assignments as you clapped your hands. What a show that was, you couldn’t fathom being famous and getting recognized everywhere you went. You couldn’t even handle being recognized as a teacher in the grocery store. But Chris seemed to handle it well, it was one of the things you were beginning to admire about him. How calm he always seemed to be, it made you less nervous.
“Hey superstar.” You waved at him, putting your students assignments into your bag.
Chris laughed, walking over to you. “Wow.” He gasped as you stood up. “You’re getting so big.” He chucked in disbelief.
You frowned. “What do you mean by that?”
Chris’s eyes widened then softened. “No baby—I mean, Y/n. I meant your belly. The baby.” He pointed at your stomach.
“Well I hope so,” you grumbled. “Sit, our appointment isn’t for another fifteen minutes.”
“Right.” He sighed, sitting beside you. “What we’re you reading?” He asks, sparking conversation.
“Oh, my students informative essays.’ You chuckled. “Would you believe Aria actually wrote about immaculate conception after hearing our story.”
“That girl is something else.” He rubbed his temple.
“You must admit, she’s brilliant. And she will be getting an A.” You said. “And not because I unofficially slept with her uncle.” You brushed your shoulder against his.
Chris brushed yours back, laughing along with you. Not only was Aria something else, so were you, and in the best possible way. But there was something he couldn’t deny himself of knowing anymore. After your coffee date and you mentioning a high insurance rate, Chris looked into the real reason you needed two jobs. He couldn’t find much, but what he could find disturbed him. He just wanted to know the real truth, maybe he could help.
“Can I ask you something, Y/n?” He sighed, rubbing his palms over his knees.
“Shoot.” You smiled at him.
“I found something and I wanted to ask you about it.”
You frowned not sure where this was going, but before Chris could explain the doctor had called your last name. Waving for you to come back.
“Let’s table the conversation for after, okay?” You grabbed your bag.
“Just promise you’ll be honest.” Chris took your bag from you.
You laughed awkwardly. “Depends on what it is.”
“Okay, this is going to be cold, Ms. Y/L/N.” The doctor said, as she began to spread the ultrasound gel along your belly.
“Wow, that really is cold.” You jolted, laughing as she and Chris stared at the screen.
“Yes.” She giggled. “So tell me, Y/n, I see this is your first pregnancy. How has it been so far?”
“Well, I’ve been able to eat more and not get sick so that’s a plus. Also I have this app, it told me my baby should be as big as an avocado by now.” You explained, heading Chris laugh.
“An avocado, that’s so small.” He chuckled.
“Well babies are small, and a handful. Which is why it takes a village to raise them.’ The doctor said, still searching the monitor. “And I assume this is dad?”
“Yeah.” Chris spoke, his heart fluttering at the title.
“Ah, there they are. Beautiful heartbeat.” The doctor pointed at the screen.
You and Chris both leaned in, listening to the heartbeat as it sounded like music to your ears. Your eyes began to swell with tears. You had never had any intentions on having children, but after this, you felt completely different. You would protect this baby with your life. A lone tear rolled down your cheek as you felt your hand inch closer to Chris’s, almost acting on it own accord. Your fingers intertwined as he smiled down at you with misty eyes. That lonely feeling you felt subsided, you realized that as long as you two were in this together, Chris would never make you feel alone.
“When will we know if it’s a boy or girl?” Chris asked, wiping his eyes.
“I’d say give it another month or two.” The doctor smiled, wiping your belly clean. “Congratulations. Whoever they are or choose to be, they’re happy and healthy.” She smiled, leaving the room.
Chris sniffled, wanting to hug you so badly. He couldn’t help that he was a hugger. But you broke through the silence, blowing your nose.
“What did you want to ask me?” You groaned, swinging your legs off the exam table.
Shit, Chris had almost forgotten he wanted to ask you about a harrowing experience in your life.
“Right.’ He watched as your eyes searched his. “Y/n, what really happened to your mother?”
Your stomach dropped, your eyes were glossy again and not from hearing the heartbeat of your baby.
“What?” You croaked.
“I looked into it, the reason you work two jobs because I didn’t want you stressed out.’ He sighed, leaning against the exam table, your watering eyes tearing him apart. “I read an local paper about your stepfather and your mother.”
“It didn’t say much, but it said enough.” Chris said. “Is your mother okay?”
Your body trembled, why would he think it was ok to ask you such questions. Especially after arguable the best moment of your life.
“Why do you care?’ You questioned. “And—and why the fuck are you looking into my past? I thought you were over that?”
“I just wanted to help you anyway I could, and you weren’t talking to me.”
“Talking to you, I barely know you! At least not enough to give you my full fucking life story!” You shout. “Why is it that you know more about me than I do you? And I’m not the ones whose plastered all over social media!” You brush past him, holding onto you belly.
“Y/n!” He shouted after you.
But you ignored him. If Chris didn’t trust you to carry his baby, to hell with him. We all have our past, our demons and you were no exception. But neither was he, and you were about to find out what those demons exactly were.
A/N: sorry for not posting this for a while. I know people have been looking forward to it. So here is part four. Nosy Chris.
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (5)
What To Expect When You're Not Expecting (5)
(The reader is nearing five months pregnant, it’s giving WandaVision speed lmao. Chris is a proud PAPAya)
You hadn’t spoken to Chris in a week, and it was another week he couldn’t see his child grow. It wasn’t like he was off in another state filming a movie. In fact, he was here in Boston filming Defending Jacob, so he had nothing but opportunities to see you and the baby. But you hadn’t wanted that, ignoring his calls and text. He knew he messed up asking your such personal questions. But he just wanted to help if he could.
So now on his day off work, he found himself walking up to your apartment with a bouquet of flowers and a pack of ginger ale. He truly hoped you would accept his peace offering—he also hoped your love for ginger ale wasn’t conditional to your pregnancy.
Chris adjusted his hoodie and hat, coughing before he knocked on your apartment door. From the other side he heard stampering, and before he knew it the door flew wide open and so did his eyes. The girl before him looked just like you, only shorter and not pregnant. His eyebrow rose as she chewed on a Twix bar, pulling at the carmel that fell from the bar while she stared him down.
“You gonna say anything, or do you just stare?” She burped causing Chris’s face to scrunch up.
“Um?” He coughed, peaking at the apartment doors number, yup still 338. “Am I at the right apartment?”
“You’re at the right place.’ She looked Chris up and down. “Y/n just taking her thirtieth bathroom break of the day.” She turned, walking away leaving the door wide open.
“Are you going to come in, or are you just going to stand there like a pedophile?” She wandered into the kitchen.
Unsure, Chris stepped inside, closing the heavy wooden door behind himself. “And you are?” He asked, following behind the girl. He watched as she pounced onto the counter, digging into a pint of moose tracks ice cream.
She laughed, kicking her legs. “I’m, Sarah. Y/n’s younger sister. Who are you?” She pointed at him with her spoon.
Chris opened his mouth to speak, but Sarah beat him to the chase. “Wait. Don’t tell me,’ she laughed, rubbing her chin. “You’re the baby daddy, Chris Evans. My roommates fucking obsessed with you.”
“Well, thanks.’ He chuckled awkwardly, placing the flowers down on the counter.
“Want some?” Sarah held her a spoonful of ice cream out in front of Chris’s mouth.
“I’m good.” Chris quickly declined.
“Your loss.” She jumped of the counter. “Y/N, GET OUT HERE—YOUR BABY DADDY IS HERE!” She shouted down the small hallway of your apartment.
Y/n stepped out of the bathroom, here brown eyes glaring at Chris’s blue ones as she emerged from the darkness of the hallway. Although he hadn’t known her long, her eyes always conveyed so much. And right now, they told him to get the hell out of her house. Which was nice by the way.
It was small and cozy, a blend of modern and almost Victorian style furniture with nice hints of pastels and neutrals blending together. A candles wick flickered in the background making the apartments living space smell immaculately . Chris was almost jealous of this place.
“What do you want?” You stuck your nose in the air, slouching back on her sofa.
Chris sighed, grabbing the flowers and walking around to your sofa. He took a seat behind you, placing the flowers on your dark brown coffee table.
“I wanted to say I’m sorry for prying, it wasn’t fair for me to drop those questions on you. Especially without your permission.” He said softly.
“Yeah, apologize as you should.” Sarah leaned over the top of the sofa, staring Chris down. “Digging into our personal shit like you’re Derek Morgan from Criminal Minds. Have several seats, Captain Underpants.” She rolled her eyes.
“Sarah,” you popped your little sisters lip. “Go away.”
Sarah smacked your hand back in retaliation, and you could have sworn you hear Chris stifle out a laugh. You glared at them both.
“Go away.” You growled at her, watching her step into the kitchen. “Further.” You pointed in the direction of her bedroom.
“Sorry.” You rubbed your eyes finally addressing Chris. “What did you want again.” You yawned, snuggling into your heated blanket more.
Chris smiled, looking at your ever growing belly, glowing skin, and messy hair. He liked that you were still intact with the child in you, some of your hair strands being dyed pink. Even with this ordeal and everything you’d been through, you still had an innocence about yourself, and that was more than he could say for others he had met.
“Right.” Chris emerged from the trance you seemed to put him in. “I just wanted to give you these and apologize.” He pointed toward the flowers.
“I hate the smell of flowers.” You blurted. Chris sat dumbfounded, what kind of girl hated the smell of flowers.
“Oh.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “Sorry.”
“It’s fine,’ you got up and headed to the kitchen with your flowers in hand. “I guess they’ll make a cute center piece, until they die.” You plucked away at one of the red rose petals.
“Right.” Chris frowned, not sure how to take your response. He was walking on egg shells here.
“I accept your apology, by the way.” You flicked on the kitchen sink, pouring water into a clear purple vase.
“Really?” Chris beamed.
“Yeah,’ you trimmed the ends of the flowers, tossing them in the vase. “I guess you should know about how fucked up your child’s grandfather is, right?” You said. “How he almost killed me and the rest of my family.”
Chris’s heart pained hearing that. The thought that you could have been killed as a young girl, struck him deeply. How could someone who said he loved you do such horrid things.
“I’m really sorry about that, Y/n.” Chris grabbed your shoulder giving it a light squeeze.
“If you’re so sorry.’ Sarah’s head popped around the corner, followed by the rest of her body. “Cook us some dinner, I’m starved.”
You laughed, feeling your own belly rumble. “It’s only fair.” You shrugged.
“And we want pasta.” Sarah demanded.
Chris could tell the two of you were nothing alike. He shook his head, finally giving in to cooking for the two of you. Not that he had any other plans.
“Fine.” He smiled. “But I only know how to make Alfredo.”
Chris had been cooking for around thirty minutes, and you’d been staring at his back for the better half of it. And boy did he have a great back, but that wasn’t what most of your thoughts were consumed by. It was mostly consumed by the fact that he never rejected you, not even for a split second. You went through a denial phase of the pregnancy, wanting to end it all. But Chris never seemed to want that.
“Chris.” You spoke up.
He turned around looking at you, almost signaling for you to speak.
“Why do you want this baby so bad?” You bite into a banana.
Chris stopped stirring the Alfredo sauce. Putting the wooden spoon you had provided down. “Why do you ask?”
“What, i can’t ask thought provoking questions too?” You walked around the counter, standing directly in front of him now. “Why did you want this.” You pointed at the bump.
Chris shrugged. “I don’t know, I’ve always wanted a family.”
“No, there’s more to that story. Everyone wants a family, a village to come home to.” You explained.
“Well maybe that’s just it.” Chris turned around, throwing a kitchen towel over his shoulder. “Maybe I’m tired of coming home to an empty house, it’s been just me and dodger for the pass five years. Maybe I want more, Y/n.”
You sighed, and there it was. He was lonely. “I get that. Thank you for being honest.” You smiled.
“You’re welcome.” He smiled, turing back to the sauce.
“So you think this baby will be enough for you?” You asked.
“I know it will, and so will you.” He said back.
Your heart fluttered at that sentiment, you think you were staring to love your accidental family just a little bit more each and every day—and that included Chris.
Chris’s dinner was, interesting, to say the least. It wasn’t bad, but it was stellar either. Not that you were going to tell him that. But Sarah on the other hand. She had a mouth for anyone and anything.
“Did you season this?” She asked with a perplexed face
“Yes? Is it not to your standard, Queen Sarah.” Chris sassed her back.
Sarah scoffed. “Don’t get smart.” She frowned at him.
He put his hands up in defense, wiping the corners of his mouth. “Y/n? Your thoughts?”
You looked up, playing with the noodles. “Um, it’s cute.” You said quietly, hearing Sarah burst into a fit of giggles.
“Cute?” He said, narrowing his blue eyes.
“I mean,’ you stammered over your words. “Never mind, it’s great.” You lied to him, watching his face soften.
“Well, thank you,’ he coughed. “I actually have something to ask you.” He said.
“That’s funny,” Sarah interjected. “I was gonna ask you something to.”
Chris subtly rolled his eyes. “What is, Sarah?”
She smirked. “What’s it like to be famous? And what made you want to honker down and have this baby with my fabulous sister?”
“Being famous isn’t what everyone thinks. It’s not all glitz and glamour, it’s hard work too.”
“I bet.” She took a sip of her drink. “And my sister?” She nudged you.
Chris looked at you and then the baby, a glimmer of something you couldn’t explain was in his eyes. “I just—I don’t know I feel comfortable around your sister, and I’m in a position where I can take care of both of them. Relationship or not, I guess.” He mumbled.
“It’s not conventional,’ you gave his hand a pat. “But it’ll work.” You smiled.
“Aw, how cute!” Sarah said sarcastically. “So you know Sebastian?” She immediately changed the subject.
You giggled, spitting out your ginger ale a bit. “Stop.”
“No, don’t do that!’ Sarah laughed. “You should have seen what she was saying about him.” She told Chris
“You know Sebastian?” Chris grabbed his glass confused.
“No, I don’t. But after I found out who you were I kind of went on a stalking binge with Sarah on the phone, we found Sebastian. And I don’t know, he’s cute.” You smiled, before taking another sip.
alright, Chris didn’t know if he should be jealous. According to everyone he was just your baby daddy. But something about the woman carrying his baby finding his best friend ‘cute’ bothered him, badly.
“Hm, yeah well Sebastian’s a sweetheart.” He grumbled, rolling his eyes.
“Maybe he can be your next celebrity baby daddy, Y/n.” Now it was Chris’s turn to spit of his drink.
“Sorry.” Chris said as everyone’s eyes were on him, he wiped himself off with a napkin avoiding the girls eyes.
“You good bro?” Sarah asked, ripping off another piece of paper towel and passing it to him.
“Yeah.’ He coughed once more. “I’m fine.”
“But y/n,’ Chris carried on. “I was thinking we should plan for a baby shower.”
“Oh,’ y/n gasped.
“I mean if that okay with you?” He added.
“Yeah, it’s great. It’s just, I don’t have much family to bring. It’ll just be Sarah and Vada.” You told him.
“That’s ok.’ He smiled. “My family has been dying to you meet you.”
“Okay.“ you nodded.
“Good. When should we start planning?” Chris asked, pulling out his calendar.
“Are you opening your calendar?” Sarah laughed.
“Sarah, stop he’s busy. And next week should be fine, Chris.”
“Hopefully not too busy for the baby.” She grumbled underneath her breath, Chris hears her and glares.
“Never too busy.” He replied with a different look for both girls. “Next week is perfect Y/n.”
First Kiss | Chris Evans
Chris parks the car in front of Y/n's house, then looks at the girl in the passenger seat.
Y/n and Chris had just been on their first date, yes, they were both on cloud nine.
"Thank you so much for today Chris, I really enjoyed it" Y/n says after a moment of silence.
"I should thank you for agreeing to go out with me, I loved it." Chris says taking off his seat belt.
Y/n takes off his belt as well, and the two look at each other affectionately for a while.
Chris smiles at Y/n and slowly leans towards her, when he realizes Y/n is doing the same Chris holds Y/n's right cheek.
Their lips meet in a gentle, loving kiss, and when Chris tries to deepen the kiss, he feels Y/n turn her face away, and then quickly pulls away afraid he's doing something she doesn't want to.
"I'm sorry, I thought you wanted this." Chris says scratching the back of his neck and Y / n widens his eyes
"No Chris, I really want this I'm just a little nervous." She quickly explains herself, afraid to make Chris think she doesn't want to kiss him.
"I make you nervous huh." Chris says smiling to Y/n, who is grateful that it's dark inside the car and Chris isn't able to see the blush on her cheeks.
"Stop this!" Y/n says smiling and pushing Chris, who is laughing too.
"Don't worry, you make me nervous too." Chris says holding Y/n's hand.
Y/n smiles at him and intertwines her fingers with his, and the two of them sit in comfortable silence for a while.
"Can we get out of the car?" Y/n asks, and Chris nods, and lets go of Y/n's hand to open the car door.
When Chris walks around the car to open the door for Y/n, he notices she's already getting out of the car, so he stares at her in bewilderment.
"which?" She asks closing the door and laughing at the expression Chris is making.
"You didn't even let me be a gentleman with you, I'm offended." Chris says placing his hand on his chest dramatically.
Y/n smiles at Chris, and he laughs along, for him it was completely impossible to see Y/n smile, and not feel like smiling either.
Y/n looks at the sky, and realizes it's a beautiful starry night.
"The sky is so beautiful today isn't it?" She says, and Chris looks up at the sky too.
"Yes he is, he's just losing to you." He says, and Y/n looks at Chris and smiles shyly.
Y/n looks at the ground, and shyly moves closer to Chris, practically coming face to face with him.
"Do you want to try that kiss now?" Chris asks and kisses Y/n on the forehead.
"I want." That was all Chris needed to hear, he cupped Y/n's cheeks lovingly, and slowly kissed her lips.
This time when Chris deepened the kiss, Y/n grabbed Chris around the waist bringing him closer.
This was their moment, and Chris would like to stay there forever.
When the two slowly separate, they had passionate smiles on their faces, and a twinkle in their eyes.
"I don't know about you, but that was the best kiss of my life." Chris says with a smirk, and Y/n rolls his eyes playfully.
"I don't know, I think I've had better kisses." Y/n says fixing her hair, and Chris lets go of her, looking at the girl in shock.
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear this so I don't leave here crying, okay?" Chris says pretending to wipe a tear off.
"Maybe I can make it up to you with some coffee in there." Y/n smiles at Chris.
"Coffee at this time of night? That's crazy...I accept." Chris nods, and Y/n takes his hand pulling him into their house.
That was the best kiss Y/n had ever had too, but Chris didn't need to know that, well not yet.
782 days. Seven-hundred-eighty-two days. 2 years and 51 days. 2 years, one month and 21 days. That’s how long ago it happened. How long ago it was since you’d had enough. Since you realized that he didn’t love you. That he was using you. That he was grooming you. That he’d physically and emotionally abuse you, then proceed to gaslight you into thinking that he was doing this because he loved you. Gaslight you into thinking that your family didn’t love you, and that he was all you had. You were convinced that he really did love you. So convinced in fact, that you’d let  him fuck you after he’d gaslight  you, because you were vulnerable. You were manipulated by that piece of  shit man; Jake Hall.
You were convinced that all was well until the night you finally said, “NO.” You two were out drinking with your friends Sierra and Ethan. They were more so Jake friends than yours, but they still cared plenty about you, and you knew that. Surprisingly, you hadn’t been gaslit into thinking otherwise. That night, you were intoxicated, however, you were still sober enough to be aware of your surroundings. After taking your third shot of tequila, things started to get hot and heavy between you and Jake, so you two both made the decision to go back to your apartment. There, you had a few glasses of wine, some vodka, and some more tequila. You drank much more than Jake did, however you didn’t think of it.
Now, you were quite intoxicated, but yet, you were still aware of your surroundings. You let Jake know that you were still, “sober enough” to put it in the same words you used, and you two went to your room and fucked. Shortly after, you felt sick. You let Jake know, he pulled out, and you went straight to the bathroom to throw up. All of that alcohol was coming back to haunt you.
You slumped down with your back against the tub, and placed your head on your knees. Jake then came in and picked you up. He carried you to the bedroom, placed you on the bed, and peppered you with kisses. You told him to stop, but it was more playful than serious.
“Stop,” you giggled, “I have to brush my teeth.”
Jake continued.
“Jake, my breath stinks.”
“I don’t care about your nasty breath,” Jake remarked. “You’re still absolutely perfect.”
As you rolled your eyes and smiled, Jake added, “Let me make love to you.”
You’re unsure how long he’d been going, but suddenly you wanted it to end. “Please stop.” You let out. But he didn’t. Instead, he went harder. “Jake… Pull. The fuck. Out. Right now” You demanded. Instead, he put his hand over your nose and mouth, and went even harder. You wanted to cry, to thrash, do anything. But you couldn’t. You just sat there as he raped you. You were there, but at the same time, you weren’t. Eventually, he pulled out, came on your stomach, and fell asleep. You gently pushed him off and went to the bathroom. You turned on the shower, hopped in and cried. When you turned off the shower, you sat on the toilet lid, gasping for air as you tried to comprehend the situation. When you came to, you went straight to your home office and pulled out the suitcase you had full of clothes. You and Jake were going to take a trip to Rome, so you had a suitcase prepared. That was definitely no longer happening.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As you stepped out of your apartment building, it was pouring rain, with a little bit of hail. You didn’t care though, you just wanted to make it to the nearest police station.

When you arrived, the wall clock read 3:09. Wiping your slightly dried tears away, you walked up to the reception. It was a larger woman in her late-20s/ early-30s. She had blonde hair, that was done in a half-up half-down beehive, and the most gorgeous brown eyes you had ever seen. She looked a lot like WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus. With a thick jersey accent she asked, “May I help you?” It wasn’t rude, as a matter of fact, it was the kindest way you could possibly ask a question. She could tell you were in distress. “May I please report a crime?” you stuttered out. “Of course,” She said. “You don’t need to ask.” You just nodded and let out an inaudible, “Sorry.”

“Would you like me to get an officer?”

You nodded again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Sorry we didn’t have any female officers at the station right now,” You heard the thick jersey accent say. You looked up and saw a tall officer. Roughly 6’4, and looked to be in his mid-30s. He had brown hair that framed his face perfectly, and was quite fit. If you hadn’t just been violated by a man, you’d almost say that you found him attractive.
“It’s alright,” You smiled, “Anyone is perfect.”
The receptionist nodded as the officer led you towards an interrogation room. He set up the video camera, and started recording. After introducing himself as “Officer David Johsnon”, he had you state your name, your date of birth and your birthplace before he started to ask questions:
“What was the crime that you wanted to report?”
“I was raped.”
“Do you know his name?”
“Jake Robertson Hall.”
“What were you doing before?”
“I was throwing up in my bathroom before he came in and started pampering me. We had sex before I felt sick, but it was consensual.”
“So these events took place at your place of residence?”
“Yes. They were at our shared apartment.”
“Were you intoxicated?”
“Yes, but I was sober enough to know what was going on.”
“Was he intoxicated?”
“I’m unsure. He drank a lot less than I did.”
“When did this happen?”
“Roughly an hour ago.”
“What did you do after?”
“He fell asleep so I got up to take a shower. After that, I got dressed and came here.”
“Were you two in a relationship?”
“Yes.”
“How long have you two been in this relationship?”
“Roughly a year.”
“Where did you meet?”
“I met him at a WWE event.”
“Has he ever abused you?”
“Yes. He’d constantly abuse me and then gaslight me into thinking he was doing this out of love.”
“Do you know if he has a past of abusing women?”
“No.”
You held back your tears harder and harder after every question, choking back those tears as you answered.
“It’s okay to cry,” Officer Johnson said in a reassuring tone. “You’re safe here. Don’t worry.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Officer Johnson took your phone incase Jake decided to message you. He also got you a hotel room for you to stay at since you couldn’t go home. Everyday he visited you to make sure you were okay, except one day, he took you to the station. He took you to the interrogation rooms once again, however, much to your dismay, you saw Jake in one them.

“You’re not taking me to see HIM are you?”

“No, Ms L/N. I’m taking you to see a lawyer.”

“Who is it?”

“His name is Andy Barber. He’s a good friend of mine, and a damn good lawyer too.”

775 days until the trial

Nervously toying with your necklace, you sit down across from Mr. Barber. You watch Officer Johnson leave as Andy gives you a sympathetic look. When you look back at him, he gives you a warm, compassionate smile before softly saying, “It’s okay.”

“So you know what happened?” You ask, your voice just above a whisper.

“Yes, but don’t worry. You don’t have to talk about anything that you’re uncomfortable with.”

You nod before Andy continues, “For now, I just want to get to know you. Tomorrow we’ll go over the details of your case.”

For the next forty minutes you two share where you’re from, your Starbucks, your favorite type of cookie and pretty much every personal detail about your lives. In that moment, Andy felt like your best friend, and you almost forgot about why he was there. That was until Officer Johnson came in with your phone.

“There’s a text from someone named, ‘Katy Kat,” he hands you your phone and before you read the text, you ask if Jake has texted or asked about you. He shook his head "no".

katy kat:

Hey, girlie! It’s Katy.

 I’m in town and I was wondering if you wanted to go out for lunch and hang out a bit.

 I went over to your place yesterday but Jake said that you weren’t home.

That you haven’t been home for a while.

 If you get this, let me know that you’re okay.

I really want to catch up with you!

You look up at Officer Johnson, and he gives you a nod of approval. Signifying that you can respond to Katy’s text.

y/n:

Hey!

I’d love to hang out with you.

It’s been so long!

I’m so sorry I wasn’t home. Things between Jake and I haven’t been the best lately, and I’ve been staying at a hotel for the past week.

I’ll explain everything when we meet up

Katy responds right away.

katy kat:

Great! I’m glad you're okay!

Can you meet me at Jimmy Pesto’s in half an hour from now?

y/n:

Of course!

katy kat:

Awesome!

See you soon xx

You place your phone on the table, face down and explain the texts to the two men in front of you. Andy offers to drive you as Officer Johnson needs to talk to Jake about what happened that night.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before you exit the car, Andy asks for your phone. Confused, you hand it to him and watch as he opens contacts.
“My personal cell number. If you need anything, call me.”
You thank him before exiting the car. Katy sees notices, smiles widely and waves you over. The table she’s at is on the patio of Pesto’s. Two seater. There’s two glasses of water on the table. One in front of her, and one where you’d be sitting.
“Hey,” you said as you sat down.
“That’s a nice car that you got out of. Definitely not Jake’s.”
“It belongs to a friend of mine.”
“We have the same friends, and none of us own a Prius THAT nice.”
Shit.
“It’s my lawyer’s.”
“Lawyer?” Katy said as she leaned over on the table.
You took a large sip of water before stating, “Jake and I,” another sip, “had an incident that requires legal action.”
“What was it?” She asked.
You took a deep breath before looking up at your best friend and telling her what happened. You were in absolute disbelief when she responded with, “He’s your boyfriend so it doesn’t count. You have immediate consent.”
“Katy, I told him ‘No’,” You told her with slight hurt in your voice, “I told him to stop, and he didn’t. He went harder, and put his hand over my mouth”
“And you didn’t fight back?”
“You bitch,” You stood up and stormed to the restaurant across the street, Bob’s Burgers. It was much smaller and emptier than Jimmy Pesto’s. There was only one customer, and he was sitting at the counter. He was a larger man. He wore a gray beanie, a blue button down shirt and brown khakis. He and the woman working at the counter were laughing about something. She was tall, wore a red shirt and glasses of the same color. When you sit down at the seat next to the man, the woman asks if you’d like anything. You shake your head no, and she asks if you’re alright.
“Not really, “you sigh, “my best friend, well ex-best friend now, is being quite bitchy in such a way that I can’t be her friend anymore.”
“I’m sorry, Hun,” the woman says.
The man chimes in before you can say anything, “I could never stop being friends with my best friend, Bobby.”
“Teddy, not know,” states the woman.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You shoot Andy a text and within a few minutes he’s picking you up.

“Hey, why were you in-” before he could finish, you were breaking down in the passenger seat of his car.

“This past week, I’ve been telling myself that this wasn’t going to change anything, but then I tell my best friend what happened, and she doesn’t care.”

You wipe away your tears, “Fuck, I’m sorry.”

“Hey,” Andy turns in his seat to face you, and places his hands on your biceps, “you’re a strong, independent woman, and I promise that Jake will be put in jail for his heinous crime.”

You sniffle, and smile a little.

“Thanks, Mr. Barber.”

“Hey, if I put myself in your phone as ‘Andy’, you call me that in person too.”

“Thanks, Andy.”

“Anytime, y/n.”

“Don’t you jus’ look fuckin’ adorable pumpkin” Chris swooned bringing his two hands to his mouth and letting out a loud whistle, tossing his hard hat, with it skilfully landing on its holder. His hands came to settle on his belt buckle, his boots clanking against the wooden floor as he approached his girlfriend, who was in nothing but one of his red plaid shirts. “Well aren’t you home early honey” She smirked, her lips red with her usual lipstick.

“Cant stay away from my sweet pie from too long, ya know me” He chuckled settling onto the leather couch beside her, his arm settling around her shoulder and landing right atop her breast, with it barely covered by the clean fabric. “How was the ranch today bubby, wasn’t too hard on ya was it?” She giggled looking up at him, kissing up his neck as she felt his hand bounce her tit in his hand and squeezing it lightly.

Chris just shook his head, nuzzling his nose against her cheek, his overgrown beard just rubbing against her skin roughly just how she liked it. “Jus got a new shipment in from North Dakota-“

“DAKOTA- right hold on big man, gotta put that name on the list” She squealed wiggling in her seat, tucking herself closer into her man’s chest, “What list baby? a vacation list? Cause let me tell you what’s in North Dakota-“

“Not a vacation list bubby, look, it’s a baby name list” She smiled clearly proud of herself, tilting the screen to show him the array of names listed on her phone, each section divided into each gender and what ones were her top 10. To her this was normal behaviour, she always wanted to be a mother and she knew damn well that her own Cowboy Chris would be the one to fulfil that.

“A-a baby name list sugar?” He asked shocked, his breath catching in his throat as his arms tugged themselves tighter around the woman in his arms, a sense of warmth and relief erupting in his heart. “Mhm, and nope it’s not up for debate cowboy, cause I know damn well you’d name her daisy or something- Wait Daisy isn’t a bad name actually” She rambled vigorously typing on her phone once again,

“You’re doin this, for our babies? Like together?” He said softly stopping her hands, causing her eyes to furrow and look up at him, “Well course, i’m hardly planning to get impregnated by another man, don’t ya want kids with me?” She snarked turning to look at him, only to laugh when she found him dazed and dreamily looking at her.

Chris’ body shuddered and grew angry at the thought of some other bastard claiming his woman, but that feeling quickly faded away by his new revelation. She wanted babies with him. “Careful honey ya might start droolin” She smacked his face lightly, before leaning in and pressing her red lips against his pink ones, pulling away to see his cheeks flushed and his hands bringing her in for another hot smooch.

“Fuck yeah I want kids with you angel, want kids with you so bad, want the white house and the picket fence n’ all that horseshit. Jus’ didn’t realise ya wanted it with me too” He breathed out, his hand mindlessly still rubbing all over her naked torso, finding itself rubbing over her stomach which he now realised would house their future. “You can be so stupid some times” Y/n laughed kissing up his neck, her hands directing his back to her breast; she always loved him just touching her body at any point, it didn’t matter what he was doing.

In fact it was quite normal to see the usual stoic Cowboy giving his long-term girlfriend foot-rubs, kisses everywhere and hugs every single second, not exaggerating. “But we can’t name her Daisy, we named the new calf that a few days ago, can’t have my babygirl twinnin with a calf” Chris grinned picking up her phone, looking at the names himself, laughing to himself every time he’d see a Disney reference.

“Well if ya would hurry up we’d have probably used about 20 of the names already bub” She pouted snatching her phone back, “That a promise?” He raised his brow looking at her, a smirk on his face as he looked down to see her exposed pussy starting to glisten with her wetness; “I say we start with the names, Myla and Mason” He whispered looking at her eyes which we now wide accompanied by a giddy smile on her smudged red lips. “Give me twins then, cowboy” She taunted tugging on his chin to bring his lips to hers, her hand guiding his to her clenching hole, starting their own rodeo of madness.

“Pumpkin ya really want this with me don’t ya? Already dreamin of bringin the tiny things to the ranch n’ teachin’ them howta ride a horse” He chuckled into her neck, his fingers continuing their assault on her bud as she uncontrollably bucked her hips up to meet his fingers. “W-want it so bad Bub, need it” She sighed out feeling his fingers enter her snug hole, the zipper on his washed out jeans being pulled down as she noticed how much they had strained against the bulge of his shaft.

“Do- Do you want this with me Chris? Tell me now, before we bring a life into this” She said meeting his eyes, her lip between her teeth trying to hold back a moan; as much as she wanted a baby so desperately, she needed to know her baby would receive love from both its momma and daddy.

“I don’t know what else I could want more pumpkin” He smiled kissing the corner of her lips, his body stiffening once she released his cock from his underwear, its red bulb shining against the light. Her thumb ran over his slit before her hands wrapped themselves around his cock, fisting it slowly and passionately; their lips still locked lovingly. “I’m not knockin’ you up on the couch baby, no way in hell, we doin’ this the proper way” Hesitatingly he pulled his lips away from hers, his lips tingling and already aching to be back on hers; in seconds he had picked her up by her thighs, giggles leaving her as she held on by his biceps.

He held her close on the bed, letting her straddle his lap whilst she cuddled into him, their bodies connected as one; his lips attached to her neck leaving behind bites of passion and ecstasy. “G’damn I love you so much baby, I-i’m not gonna last much longer honey” He breathed out against her neck, his hands splayed on her back to keep her against him at all times, their bodies providing each other heat.

“M-me too bubby, m’so close, can feel it right here to here” She whimpered pointing from her heart right to her wet centre, her lips crashing onto his swollen ones, their tongues meeting causing both their chins to become wet with each other’s saliva; a usual occurrence in this household. “I-I’m close, cum with me bubby , please” She gasped out holding onto his shoulders as she bounced faster on his cock, his hips thrusting up to meet hers.

“Don’t worry pumpkin, m’right here, on three alright? 1, 2 ,3-“

———

“If you’re not pregnant by now, then that is a miracle in itself” Chris sighed moving some of her hair to behind her shoulder, her smile sweet and lazy as she just looked up at him as if he was some sort of treat. “I love you bubba, too much even” She whispered tracing a finger down his nose before booping the tip of it, giggling when he bit onto it playfully and wouldn’t let it go.

“You have my whole heart, but I still don’t think it’s enough” He whispered back nuzzling their noses together, his arms still enclosing their bodies together, her pussy clenching around his softened shaft every so often.

Chris watched as you walked passed him on campus as if he didn't exist. as if the two of you weren't just in love, weren't just planning to graduate and move in together. as if the two of you weren't planning your future together.

but he knew the reason why you just ignored him. he fucked it all up. he took your heart from your chest, and crushed it without a second thought, all because the two of you got into a stupid fight, and instead of apologizing to you, he apologized to 6 beers at the bar with his friends.

he regrets talking to the pretty blonde. he regrets complimenting her obviously fake Gucci shirt. but most of all, he regrets leaving his drink with her when he went to the bathroom.

being the quarterback on the college football team, word got out after his roommate, Jake, came back from a smoke, and found him cozying up with the pretty blonde. Jake told their teammates, and their teammates told their own partners, and eventually, word got around to Inez Wallis, the school gossip who was in love with Chris and was very bad at hiding it.

she had tried to convince you that Chris had cheated on you in the past, and whenever you asked for proof, she couldn't give any, and thats how you knew she was lying. this time, however, she was telling the truth.

bbbellasblog - bella

"here," Inez said, handing you her phone. "this is what Jake is sending to everyone."

your heart broke into a million little pieces, the wind rushing out of your lungs, shattered heart pounding in your ears. it was Chris.

it was Chris, sitting close, too close, at the bar with the blonde girl from your Calculus class that was a teachers pet, and had had her eyes on Chris since freshman year.

"n-no," you stuttered. "t-that can't be true. Chris w-would never." you begged Inez to tell you that she was joking, that it was April 1st, that when you asked Chris about this later, he would deny it with such truth in his features that you couldn't deny it.

"it's true." she said, a satisfied smile on her face.

you turned on your heel, and practically ran to confront the man who you thought would be yours forever.

bbbellasblog - bella

since that day, you hadn't spoken to him. you hadn't looked at him, answered any of his texts, or acknowledged his existence in anyway.

any gift he sent was back at his doorstep the next day. every text was thrown back with a 'not delivered' in red.

it was like you deleted him from your life, and moved on without a second thought, if the way you danced with Ari to his favourite song at the residence hall's Christmas party was any indication of how you were doing.

Chris wasn't doing well. not as well as you were. water became beer, study hall became two hour long naps in the middle of the day, mealtimes became gym sessions.

he was thinner, paler, more tired. he could barely keep his eyes open in class. his grades were slipping, and guilt with anxiety constantly swirled in his stomach, and no matter how many times he emptied his stomach, it remained.

thats how he ended up here, scrolling through instagram on a Friday, a beer in his hand. he was on the verge of sleep, ready to put the dreadful week behind him, and sleep the entire weekend.

his eyes shot open, however, when he saw you in a photo from his teammate, Steve.

you were making out with Ari, the same asshole who you danced with. the beer bottle fell and shattered on the hardwood of his bedroom, and he was springing up from the bed, the alcohol and lack of sleep and regular meals making him act rashly.

he checked his 'find my friends' app, and saw where the party was, before taking off in that direction.

bbbellasblog - bella

he stormed through the frat house, looking in every room, every nook and cranny for you. he sprinted up the stairs, ignoring the room spinning.

he threw open every door that stood in his way, and skidded to a stop. you were passed out on some frat guys bed, and Ari, the cocky asswipe, was on top of you, his hands running up your shirt, a visible tent in his pants.

before he could think, Chris bolted towards him, and body slammed him to the ground. he straddled him, much like Ari was on top of you moments ago, and didn't hesitate to throw punches at his face. the skin of his knuckles screamed at him, but he didn't care. despite coming here to yell at you, a protectiveness overtook him, and he couldn't bring himself to stop.

the shouting from Chris woke you up. your face contorted into horror as you saw what Chris was doing.

"CHRIS!" you shouted, falling to your knees and trying to push Chris off of Ari.

he shook your hand off and continued to beat him up. you tried again, but you were shook off again. you scrambled to your feet, and ran out of the room, in search of help. you found Anthony, and dragged him back up to the room.

Anthony jumped into action, and grabbed Chris around the shoulders before dragging him off of Ari. "fuck man," Anthony said, as Chris fought against him, unable to escape. "what the hell are you doing?"

"i'm gonna kill him!" Chris shouted, trying to pry Anthony's arms off of him, but being unsuccessful.

"dude, stop!" Anthony shouted, rolling over and pinning him to the ground. "you're scaring the shit outta y/n!"

that snapped Chris out of it, and he craned his neck to look at you. you were in the corner, back pressed against the wall, terror on your face as your eyes were locked on Chris.

Anthony released him, and Chris crumpled to the ground. "fuck!" Chris spat, slamming his shaking hand on the floor. "'m sorry, y/n."

you watched as Anthony dragged Ari out of the room, and left the two of you alone.

"w-" you stuttered. "why did you do that?" you asked shakily, watching as Chris sat against the opposite wall. "what has he done to you?"

"he was fuckin' assaulting you, y/n." Chris said, and the corners of your lips pointed down, tears brimming his eyes.

"no." you said. "no he wasn't."

"yes he was."

"no you're just mad that i'm moving-"

"y/n, he was on top of you, with a goddamn boner, and his fuckin' hands were about to touch your tits!" Chris yelled, his head hitting the wall behind him. "if anything, you should be thankin' me."

"why should i do that? why should i give you the time of day?" you said, and Chris ran his hand over his face.

"because i didn't get a chance to fucking explain what the hell happened with her," he said.

"you don't need to explain!" you shouted, burying your head in your hands. "you got drunk outta your mind, and had sex with someone else! what else is there to explain?!" you demanded and Chris groaned.

"i didn't sleep with her."

"sure you fucking didn-"

"she fuckin' drugged me." he said. he watched as you processed the news. he moved to sit beside you, and breathed when you didn't make an effort to move away. "i went to the bathroom, and left my drink with her. when i came back, it tasted different, and i stopped drinking it. i got really fucking dizzy after that, and ended up leaving." he explained.

your heart pounded, but as you looked in his eyes, you found no trace of a lie in his face. he might be a good actor, but he was a shitty liar. all you found was truth.

"i only realized what it was a few weeks later, but by that time, you were pretending i didn't exist. i swear to god, y/n, i'd never cheat on you. you know what Ma would do to me if i did something like that? i'd never see the light of day again because i'd be six feet under." he said, and you shook your head, unable to believe your own stupidity.

"i'm so sorry, Chris," you said, turning to look at him. "i'm so fucking sorry. if i had known-" you said, and Chris shook his head.

"don't." he said. "don't say what you would have done. i just want to move past it." he said, you gulped.

"okay." you whispered, and offered him your hand. he took it, and intertwined your fingers.

Chris leaned in closer, your shoulders touching. Chris rested his forehead against your head, and inhaled.

you still smelled the same, and Chris had never been more grateful for that.

"i should have listened to you." you said, playing with his fingers. "if i had, we could be in your dorm, having sex rather than sitting here and making you relive what happened."

Chris shook his head, releasing your hand and wrapping his arm around your shoulders. "don't overthink it." he whispered. "what happened, happened, and all we can do is move past it." he explained. he pressed a kiss to your temple with a smile. "I got approved for that apartment we looked at." he said. you looked up at him.

"really?" you asked softly, and he nodded.

"yup." he said, leaning closer and bumping his nose with yours. "we can move in anytime after April 30th." he said, and you bit your lip.

"you still wanna live with me?" you asked, and Chris nodded, moaning quietly.

"mhm." he whispered. "of course i wanna." he said, and swallowed, his adams apple bobbing as you giggled.

"c'mere," he whispered, tugging you onto his lap. his hand cupped your cheek, and slid to the back of your neck, before bringing your forehead to rest on his. he licked his lips, and his vision zeroed in on your lips.

"please tell me i can kiss you," he said, and as soon as you nodded, he was surging forward and catching your lips in a passionate kiss.

as soon as your lips touched, the two of you fell back into your old rhythm. his hands ran down your back and gripped your ass, squeezing your cheeks and pressing you against him.

your breasts brushed against his chest, nipples perking up at the contact. you moaned into his mouth, and disconnected your lips as he slid his legs down, and spread his thighs. you threw your head back and moaned, letting him suck a hickey into the skin of your neck, while his hands gripped your hips, and helped you grind against his bulge.

he moved your legs over his hips, and maneuvered to his knees. he pressed your back against the floor, and slid his hands under your sundress.

"fuck," he moaned, separating your lips briefly. "gonna fuck you so good," he whispered, and his fingers curled around your underwear, pulling them down.

his hands gripped your thighs, and pulled them up, and then apart. "fuckin' beautiful," he said, looking at your dripping pussy. he chuckled as your hands pawed at his shirt, wanting it off. he all but ripped it off, leaning over, and kissing you deeply as he fiddled with his tie on his sweatpants. he managed to finally undo the knot and pushed them down, his hand gripping his hard and leaking cock, running it through your folds, collecting some wetness on the head.

"gonna let me fuck you?" he asked quietly, and you moaned, your back arching. he pressed his head to your entrance, and slowly slid in, squeezing his eyes shut as you enveloped him in your warm, wet heat, a heat he had been deprived of for too long.

he snapped his hips against yours, grabbing your leg, and throwing it over his shoulder. his hips slowly picked up speed, and he leaned over you, kissing you deeply as he pounded deeper and deeper.

suddenly, he pulled out and pulled you on top of him. he reached behind you with his right hand, and guided himself back inside of you. his hand squeezed your hips and guided you on his cock.

"fuck," you moaned, thighs trembling. you squeezed around him, and jolted forwards when his hand slapped your ass, and let out a moan.

"jesus, baby," he breathed, his head falling to the floor, eyes remaining on you. "your pussy is chokin' my fucking cock," his hand slapped your thigh, and he slid his hand between your bodies, his thumb finding your clit.

"you're s' deep," you gasped as Chris circled the small nub, his brows knit in concentration.

"yeah," he questioned, glancing up at you. "gonna let me fill you up?"

you nodded, dress covered breasts bouncing in front of his eyes. "please-" you begged, feeling your body begin to tense, the hot heat growing in your lower abdomen, pants escaping from your mouth.

"oh yeah, baby." he said. "you're so fucking close." he said, and you whimpered, thighs trembling even more. Chris noticed the trembling, and he grasped your hips, helping you to move to ease the tension off of your muscles.

"oh fuck, i'm close." he rasped, eyes squeezing shut, head tilting back, mouth opening in a hiss.

"m-me too," you stuttered, your eyes struggling to stay open.

Chris snapped his hips up, with a groan. "fuckin' soak me." he growled, his hands slapping your ass again, and you were sent over the edge less than a second later, mouth opening in a silent scream of intense pleasure as Chris stilled inside of you, hot jets of his cum shooting deep inside of you.

you fell forward as you came down from your earth shattering orgasm, and Chris's hand grasped your face, forcing you to make eye contact. "are you okay, bubba?" he asked quietly, his tired eyes searching your blissed out face.

you nodded subtlety, and his hands ran up and down your back as you laid down on his broad chest, moaning at the warmth he provided.

his fingers tilted your chin up, and his lips connected with yours once more. his lips massaged yours lovingly, and he pulled away, resting his forehead against yours. his hand grabbed yours again, and intertwined his fingers with yours.

a tear rolled down your cheek, and Chris was quick to wipe it away.

"'m sorry i didn't listen to you," you gasped for air, and Chris sat up, leaning back against the bed, and cuddling you to his chest. "'m sorry i put you through hell." you said as you sobbed into his chest.

"shhh," he whispered into your hair. "it's okay, sweet girl," he assured. you always got slightly emotional after sex from your hormone levels dropping so quickly, and it made aftercare that much more intimate and loving. "just breathe, you're okay." he said, and you nodded, laying your head on his chest, hearing his heart beat thud under his skin.

Chris grabbed the hem of your dress, dragging it up and over your head. it was sweat soaked, and had some wrinkles in it. he replaced it with his shirt, and you cuddled into him once more.

"i know it's not my cardigan that you love, but it'll keep you decent until we get back to my dorm, because i'm not losing you again."

The Boston Brute Series: Part 12 - Welcome To Sudbury (Dual POV)

Pairing: NHL!Chris Evans x Athletic Trainer!Reader (female character)

Summary: When you graduated from Northeastern University, you had your sights set on the West Coast. And then you were offered a position with the Boston Bruins Athletic Training Department. And then you met Chris. A 6′3″, ruggedly handsome hockey player dead set on making your life a living hell by pushing every button and getting on every nerve. Despite your obvious disdain for each other and the ‘No Fraternization’ clause in your employee contract, you’re drawn together in a passionate, fiery love affair that seems to burn everything in its wake.

Warnings: Crude language. Chris’s asshole father mentioned, parental abuse mentioned. There’s a police officer in this fic, too lol. Idk if that’s a trigger, but just to be safe. Lots of fluff and soft Chris. Please do not read this series if you are not a fan of asshole Chris or fics with a lot of angst. As always, let me know if I missed anything!

W/C: 9.3k

Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. All players and scenarios are made up completely. This story does not reflect things that actually happen in the NHL or with its players. Additionally, I talk about Chris’s family in this fic. Again, work of fiction and is no reflection of his parents or grandparents in real life.

Chris POV

Chris’s grip on the steering wheel tightened every time he drove past a mile marker, signaling you guys were one mile closer to Sudbury. His knuckles were way past the point of turning white and his fingers started to ache from the hold he had.

He’d kept the itinerary to himself for almost the entire drive, finally passing it over when you’d asked what the plans were and for some reason, he was more worried about your reaction to a meticulously planned out Christmas than facing his family.

His stomach turned when your eyes widened.

“There’s an itinerary?” You asked, looking over at him with raised eyebrows. If he wasn’t so fucking nervous about how this weekend was going to go, he might’ve given himself a second to appreciate just how much he loved the way your feelings were so easily displayed through your expressions.

Christmas had always been a big deal to Lisa and he’d mentioned it in passing a few times, but Chris failed to inform you just how seriously she took it. Itinerary and all.

Your eyes narrowed at Chris. “Did you wait until we got on the road to tell me so I wouldn’t back out?”

His eyes flickered from you to the road nervously, trying to gauge your reaction. Busted. He should’ve known better. “No…” He lied, his voice unconvincing, even to himself.

“Christopher!” You scoffed, shaking your head. “I can’t believe you.”

He could tell by your tone that you were teasing and not actually upset with him, but he still felt bad. You told him you didn’t celebrate Christmas and that this would be the first time you’d spent any sort of holiday around a family and here he was basically throwing you to the wolves.

Chris reached over and squeezed your thigh gently. “It’ll be fun, I promise.” He peeked over at you, smiling at the fake grin you had on your face. You were trying so hard not to show him just how worried you were because you also knew how worried he was about being around his family.

Which was stupid.

It’s his family.

He can spend a few days with his family. No big deal.
