Summary: Jace plan’s on asking his mother and Daemon if he can marry his 2 year younger sister Y/n.

“Mother.” Jace spoke, peeking his head into her chambers, seeing his mother and Daemon inside. He was hoping they would be in their shared room, it would give them more privacy.
“Yes Jace?” Rhaenyra turned to face where her son was, she was curious as to what he could want to see them about.
“Can I speak to you?” he asked, Jace was nervous about what he wanted to discuss with them but he was determined.
“Always.” Rhaenyra nodded, gesturing for him to enter fully into the room. The mother and son took a seat on the bench seat in the middle of the room. Daemon stayed back but he was listening intently. “What did you want to speak with me about sweetheart?”
“I know I am of age to get married. And I would like to ask you to consider an option.” Jace took a deep breath before he spoke, gaining some much needed confidence.
“Go on.” She smiled a little at how grown up he had become, Rhaenyra spared a glance back at Daemon. The two shared a knowing smile.
“I would like you to consider a union between me and Y/n.” Jace said bravely, trying not to let his nerves show.
“Your sister?” Rhaenyra raised her brow’s in shock but kept a smile on her lips. It wasn’t uncommon for Targaryens and siblings in the family to get together.
“Yes.” He would firmly.
“Does she know you're asking us?” Daemon spoke up, a smile on his face as well which brought a level of comfort to Jace seeing them both smiling.
Jace shakes his head before explaining. “No. We’ve talked about it but she doesn’t believe you’ll say yes so she considers it a fantasy. One she doesn’t want her heartbroken over hoping it could happen. I, on the other hand, want to at least try and ask you.”
Rhaenyra and Daemon shared a silent conversation with just one look before she turned back to Jace.
“We’ll think on it.” She promised squeezing his hand in assurance.
“Thank you. That’s all I ask.” Jace smiled before getting up and leaving their chambers, hoping they would think on it.
“What do you think?” Rhaenyra asked Daemon once Jace left.
Daemon walked over to his niece/wife and wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head.
“It is in tradition with our house. And they aren’t fully brother and sister either.” Daemon stated. Y/n didn’t share Ser Harwin Strong as a father like her brother Jacaerys and Lucerys. The main reason Rhaenyra and Daemon knew why she had the Targaryen hair was because of that.
If Jace and Y/n were to have children they would more than likely have the Targaryen hair color. With the gene in Jace and Y/n would only make it stronger.
“They don’t know that.” Rhaenyra turned her head to her uncle/husband.
“Of course they don’t. That would involve telling them that I snuck into the castle and we had a passionate night together that resulted in our lovely Y/n.” Daemon let out an amused laugh, smirking at the memory.
Rhaenyra turned in her seat to face him with a smile, reaching for his hand. “They don’t need to know. Besides, I do not think it would change anything. They love each other.”
“We’ve watched them grow close together over the years. He’d lay down his life for her. I couldn’t think of someone I trust her more with.” Daemon told her honestly, thinking about his little dragon with the Velaryon Strong boy.
“We’ll tell them that we accept his proposal in a few days.” She smiled up at Daemon, their decision and minds made up in agreement.
“They’ll both be ecstatic.” He stated smiling back.
