Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

Ooooooooooh yes.

The fandom really seems to hate that Alice turns out to be an android, but I completely disagree. At first, it did come as a bit of a shock, but if anything I'm glad the writers decided to put that plot twist in. To me it really shows how much androids are human - I mean, look at how much Alice relies on and loves Kara and tell me that is not such a human quality. I know some people argue she just follows her programming, but I could not disagree more. What does she do when Todd gives her an ORDER to come back downstairs? Why would she run away with Kara when androids are explicitly being told to go to the camps to be shut down?

And she's a child, too. She needs a parent to care for her. If she were just an android, she wouldn't need emotional support from other people. But she does.

Furthermore, disliking her because of the color of her blood is exactly what the game encourages the player NOT TO DO. Sure, there are some plot holes with her being an android, but her being an android does not cause these. It's just the writers being lazy.

In conclusion, stop hating on Alice because she is amazing and deserves all the love and adoration in the world.

Smh man people be saying Kara's story is terrible when does people aren't even paying attention to her story at all and be talking like they know everything (same for Markus)

(warning potential vague spoilers for Markus, Kara, Luther, and Conor) A person on Reddit made a post complaining about how “there isn’t a lot of variety with kara or Markus” and found this gem of a comment about Kara. I know Markus can also wildly vary depending on your options (hell he can even get kicked out of Jericho if you mess up badly enough)

Student project "Detroit: Echoes of Freedom" supervised by Quantic Dream

Recently Quantic Dream worked with a group of seven students from L'Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués supervised by Game Producer Alexandre Henon to create an unofficial Detroit: Become Human DLC prototype for a master's project.

It was produced in Unreal Engine 5 over the duration of one month. It follows a 19 year old Alice returning to Detroit after escaping to Canada during a failed revolution 10 years prior.

Student Léa Sandeau uploaded some character concept art on ArtStation which I find extremely cool and kinda surreal. This was at least supervised by someone from Quantic Dream, so I suppose it is "official" in some sense.

Not to be dramatic BUT

This is the best thing I've read in a long while 😭 pure art right here, Shakespeare been real quiet since this came out

But FR it is extremely well written, the mannerisms and environment was everything 😭

I decided to get all the achievements (at 5 in the morning 💀) and now I have brainrot and this all I could think about 😭

Home: Become Alone

The RK900 is sent on a special mission to capture the infamous deviant Kara who had escaped to Canada. Whilst in Ontario, Nines locates where she's staying, and on Christmas Eve, he strikes... Making a fool of himself in the process. And failing the mission.

This story is a choose-your-own-adventure. The read-length for one playthrough is approximate to a one-shot (~2,300 words). Whilst playing, DO NOT use the "next chapter" buttons provided by AO3. Please use the links that I've provided so you can go through the chapters in the correct order of your choosing. Also, please heed the content warnings in the AO3 tags.

Kara + Alice and Connor because I wanted to include him in the set :) because it would be mean if I didn't lmao 😭 I wanted to try something different with them, it went out alright (also hunter versus prey dynamic 👀) I like the way Con's hair turned tbh 😭
