On this year women's day, all we could think about are Palestinian women in Gaza.
Nearly 9,000 women have been killed in Israeli attacks in five months. Another 2,100 are missing and presumed dead, while 23,000 have been wounded and over half a million are displaced.
“Palestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, are exposed to the worst humanitarian catastrophe,” Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesperson, said on Thursday.
Dozens of women and girls have also been detained and face harsh conditions in Israeli custody, including sexual abuse.
Women in Gaza also struggle to find menstruation products and access the necessary pregnancy and post-natal care. The consequences on reproductive health, including a rise in stress-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births, have increased significantly.
Women in labour are undergoing caesarean procedures without anaesthetics, and a shortage of post-operative care such as medication, antibiotics and pain relief further exacerbates the situation.
According to the health ministry, 5,000 women give birth monthly in Gaza under “harsh, unsafe and unhealthy” conditions caused by Israeli bombing and displacement.
There are 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffering from “malnutrition, dehydration and lack of medical care.
There have also been repeated cases of Israeli soldiers mocking Palestinian women by posting videos and pictures of themselves rummaging through personal belongings in Gaza homes, making derogatory comments and posing with women’s underwear.

Lampert design was inspired by @lucid-daydreaming-art !!!!!!!! basicallyy this au is juzt kasper and lampert if the roles were reversed. as in, kasper doesnt get infected by a virus, but his best friend lampert gets brainwashed instead. he doesnt remember kasper at all and even replaced the lampshade with his face on it, after he got brainwashed. kasper has tried to draw his face back on, but lampert refuses by grabbing his hand and saying something about going to the front help desk for anything that he may need. (@deceasedabyss came up with the marker thing.. hi) i also wanna elaborate on what I meant by him almost getting killed and being taken in by the employees; theres not much about 3008 on the SCP wiki so im kinda grabbing at my own theories and headcanons here that I have about it. basically the IKEA employees of 3008 work as a mindhive, and i believe they have a central hub or leader at the start of it all, and I think they're constantly searching for ways to expand their army and grow bigger and smart enough to escape 3008 themselves, so they can lure more people in from the outside world and yada yada that whole thang. i dont want to reveal much, but lampert got caught hiding one day, as he hides so they dont recognize that he is alive, and almost got killed by them before the "leader" and therefore, the rest of the employees, saw lampert as a valuable asset to their "army" due to his agility and prop hunt ability, (the one where he can transfer himself into practically any object to hide..) they thought his abilities could be useful for getting people during the night time. so, they brainwashed him, and kasper didnt know that something was wrong until the following day, where he visited 3008 and lampert was obviously not his friend anymore. enjoy!!! I'm not trying to say people are too sensitive these days but..c’mon.
The animation wasn't too graphic, or at least not graphic enough to mass report it. People really need to learn to ignore stuff they don't like, especially if it's on tiktok, an app where you could easily scroll past.
I completely understand if some content is triggering for some, I included can be triggered by some unsavory content, but most times you can scroll on. Let me repeat that, SCROLL ON!

i lost my job, and only stable source of income, back in january. the reason i lost my job was due to an amalgamation of my rights being violated, being sexually harassed by customers (and having to fear assault due to my workplace not protecting me), and being unable to complete the tasks required by the job due to disability (that had been exacerbated by the job, and wasn't an issue when i took the job).
unfortunately, i live in a very small town, and everywhere else i've applied to either mysteriously denies me after an interview or i don't even get to that point with them. with only having one job under my belt since i'd worked there for years, a lot of places won't hire me due to inexperience. not to mention that i have a lot of piercings and tattoos, so many places where i live (a rural, conservative, mountain town) just don't want me because i'm 'not congruent with their image'.
i'm hungry. i have about $0.40 in my bank account and my credit card is $280 in debt. i need help.
