Dooon't go on, you'll get addicted! Hehe, joke aside, pose boxes are great. Perhaps you already found out this, but you can play several poses at once with some boxes and also mix face overlays (like fear, then fear/horror and then horror) for effect!
I did see that. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll definitely play around with it more and see what else I can do with them. I don’t intend to download more, but you never know...Thanks for the tips!

Sometimes you just gotta do what you just gotta do.
Yep. I think it was worth it. I got the picture I wanted, and now I can take more pictures that I want, as opposed to pictures that are as close as I can get to what I want with what I’ve got.

I’ll definitely need it. The Tinkers managed to get to 6 kids last time (Melody, three born (one set of twins) and two adopted children) but I think the “babies only” adoption rule will make things more difficult. I am looking forward to it, but I can guarantee that things will be crazy at the Tinker house! :)

I did know that. I read The Healer’s Keep and I think I read Light of the Oracle, but that was years ago and I don’t remember either of them leaving much of an impact. I’ll have to check both of them out again. Thanks for reminding me! :)

Yep, it’s her. I’ll be interested to see where her relationship with Malcolm goes this time. She’s not quite the same character.

My mom was the reading influence in my life. We moved a LOT when I was a kid, but her huge library of books always went with us. She would read out loud to us on long car trips. Took a couple of years to get through the Narnia books that way. :3
My mom read to us too, but it was my dad who really took on that role. Some of my best memories are of listening to him read. He read LOTR with me. He read several of the Tarzan books to my younger brother. He read To Kill a Mockingbird with my sister (years before any of us would read it in school). The best part of it was that we could all join in on someone else’s reading if we wanted to, or it could be a private thing with just Dad. We used audio books on long car trips, but reading aloud was always the best part of the day.

Oh the Seer and the Sword! I was tempted to put that on my list too. Exact same situation as you too...checking it out from the library again and again. Then I wanted to reread a few years ago, and library didn't have it, so I went out and bought it!

Herb is a great name for a garden clubber!
Isn’t it, though? I didn’t name him, either. The game did. It also named Basil, which is an equally good name for a garden clubber. I thought Herb would also make a fitting spouse for this first generation of the challenge, which focuses on gardening and plants. We’ll see if it works out for Herb and Florence.

I felt so, so bad for killing Yves. Denise and Gilbert immediately missed him (and keep in mind, I had only created him about five minutes earlier in CAS and set their relationships with the SimBlender). They were still incredibly torn up about it. Gilbert even impaled himself on a stop sign!
Denise just made this face a lot. It made for great story telling opportunities, but it just broke my heart in half... :(

Seeing Gilbert all responsible is new to me…but I like it. :)
I think deep down Gilbert might be a secondary family sim. If I had Freetime, he totally would be. He really does love his mom (and he loved his dad) and he’d do anything for her. I’m not sure what he was up to in the city--I get the feeling he was kind of lounging around unsure of what to do with his life--but his dad’s death has kind of forced him to grow up a bit. His mom needs him, so he’s putting on his big boy pants.
Of course, he’s still mainly a romance sim. Most of his wants in the game are actually romantic ones. I just kind of ignored them for the sake of the story this round.

Denise is over the worst of her grief, I think. Yves’s ghost coming in and scaring her kind of jolted her back to reality. She’s still upset (obviously) but I think she’s got a goal or two now, and Denise with a goal is a force to be reckoned with. She’ll pull through. :)

I was really glad when Samantha was brought back. I believe it was a random townie who returned her, but I don’t remember off the top of my head...I’d never seen it happen either. I thought the cop would bring her back in a police car. At least she came back.

Wow, she's taking a long time for a Sim! Which is totally appropriate because Sims get over death of a loved one unusually quickly...and also so sad. :(
She really is. I’m not sure why. She’s still completely despondent in game right now. I’m hoping to find a way to cheer her up once I get back to her house, but I’ve just started playing Round 2 of the Landgraab household, so Denise will have to wait a while...I need to find her a friend or two...

Hoo boy! I am so sorry it’s taken me this long to reply to all your replies. I blame my iPad. Ever since I got it, I’ve been using it more than my computer. It’s harder (read: more work) to do replies on the iPad, so I have been neglecting it. Sorry! Thank you all for replying. I really love seeing your reactions and feedback on things.

I also usually only play with cats because they are self-cleaning :) In real life, I am more of a dog person though!
I am a cat person in real life as well as in Sims. Dogs are great, but they are so much more work than cats.

I think he’s going to do it. We’ll see what happens when he becomes a teen, but since he’s basically being raised by the dog, I think Justin would love to be able to be closer to his canine friends.

True, true. I’ll be interested to see if Gabby gets along with another dog if/when we get another one for her to breed with. (I think that’s part of the rules for this challenge. It’s been a while since I looked them all over...)
I think that’s everybody. I’m sorry if I forgot you. I am going to try to get better about replying to replies. Bluewater Round 2 is starting soon, but I haven’t actually finished playing the Landgraab household yet, so the queue may run out at some point. (I do have a 3 day weekend coming up, though, so I will try to get some simming in to build things up.)

I think Malcolm’s gotten pretty used to jabs and jokes about his eyebrows. He’s had them his whole life, after all. >;) Plus he’s already in love with Abby. She could say or do almost anything and he would think it was great.

Uh-oh... Mal, there may be things in there you don't want her to know yet. Not without context, anyway.
It’s not the best idea, I agree, but Malcolm is pretty sure he’s ready for Abby to know about all that. He can fill in the context before she really reads the book anyways. And she might not get through it. Malcolm I was a great man, but he was also quite proud and convinced that his legacy would last. The book reflects that. Like he said, Malcolm fell asleep when he was reading it as a teen. (That might explain why he got such a surprise later.)
In any case, Abby’s not going to start reading the book until after the house tour is done, and I think Malcolm intends to give her a bit more family history and some context along the way.

It wasn’t Checo, although I’d like to get him abducted at some point too. We’ll see what’s in his random generator this round.
I think the house in the background there was actually Malcolm’s house (although he wasn’t the lucky abductee either; that could be fun), but that wouldn’t have given you much of a clue. The Delarosa, Tinker, Ramirez, and Larson houses are all across the street from the Manor, although you’d have a time seeing it from the Larson house.

I don’t know. Malcolm doesn’t actually have a lot of friends in Bluewater. He has a lot of customers, but he’s spent the majority of his time outside of work getting to know Abby. I don’t know that anyone in town will feel strongly enough about this to write a Letter to the Editor. (How sad is that?)

She wrote that fast! The autobiography must have an index.
I think Abby probably had most of the article written up beforehand. She had to do some fact checking (hence the autobiography) and she needed the quotes from Malcolm, but the rest could be written and saved until she could fill in the blanks. She also had Mr. Fleming the lawyer as a source (as revealed in today’s post). This whole thing has been cooking for a while.

Poor, poor Malcolm indeed. He needs a hug, poor guy! I’d promise that it’ll all work out for him in the end, but I honestly don’t know that. I haven’t planned or played past this round. I do prefer happy endings, though, so I suspect things will get better eventually.
