it's a lil dunkleosteus
so like idk if anybody has pointed this out yet but Undyne’s not just a fish girl.
She’s a dunkleosteus girl.
(its the teeth that give it away.)
Anyway so the dunkleosteus was an ancient predatory armored fish from the Silurian to the Devonian period, with thick bony plates all over its head. She really is an “armor fish” monster!

Deep in the ancient oceans, lurks the mighty Dunkleosteus. A bit of Blockbench paleo art from a little while back i never posted.
Based on the recent, more rotund, reconstruction of D. terrelli, still quite the fearsome beast!
Been some time since i did any paleoart so it was great to finally get back to it again!

So, I visited my local muji store today on a whim, and found these lovely plain notebooks. I think they'll make fine portable sketchbooks and the plain covers mean I can personalize them!
I went for a stylised dunkleosteus skull (my apologies to any paleontologist who sees this). The paper itself is of a smooth tooth and the cover a bit slippery but I can work with it.
The spine came out a bit crap but oh well! I'll likely add more subtle silhouettes on the back and around the skull.
...I just realized it kinda reminds me if the old thundercats logo....
