I just found a dnd character sheet for the goose from untitled goose game. 😂

If I was going to put the Horrible Goose in a D&D game, I wouldn’t make it some big high-CR threat – it’d just be a regular goose that’s capable of regular goose stuff, with three significant exceptions:

1. It can show up anywhere, even if there’s no reasonable way for it to have gotten there.

2. It seems to have limited ontological intertia. If the players imprison it, it vanishes from its prison when they’re not looking. If they kill it, another goose shows up eventually. It’d be impossible to prove that it’s always the same goose, save for the third notable trait…

3. …namely, that it doesn’t show up in divinations. Like, at all. Predictions don’t take it into account. Scrying on its location reveals an empty room. Spells that would detect it or read its mind act like there’s no valid target present. If the cleric communes with their god and asks about it, their god has no idea what the cleric is talking about. It might take some doing to arrange for the players to become aware of this property, so don’t force it – the opportunity will arise!

There we go. No goofy boss monster tricks, yet it’s guaranteed to drive your players nuts – not even by harassing them, necessarily, but just by existing as they try to figure out what it means, particularly once they learn of the third trait discussed above.

The Badlands region in the America West is known for its arid and unforgiving vegetation. The harsh environment is lifeless, but every so often it sprouts a delicate beauty of wildflowers. Photographer Guy Tal was there to capture this rare sight. He says:  “On rare years wildflowers burst into a stunning display of color, transforming the desert into a veritable garden for just few precious days.”

You’re a mimic. You were disguised as a chair in a dungeon when an adventurer decided to take you as loot. You’ve actually enjoyed your life ever since as furniture in a jolly tavern. So when some ruffians try to rob the now-elderly adventurer’s business, you finally reveal yourself.

High fantasy concept… a tower that once held a huge battle, but everyone died at the same moment. Now, only the bravest adventurers dare enter to try to solve the mystery of what happened.

Great Goose – Medium monstrosity, unaligned

Many savage beasts wander the lands the scattered tribes of filiodons and mothbirds call home – primal monstrosities stuck in an everlasting ice age and battling for the scarce resources their freezing world involuntarily provides. Only the most reckless ones succeed; only the sturdiest prevail. Born to hunt and driven by bloodthirst, the great goose combines both of these primeval qualities. While it isn‘t necessarily the largest creature, the feathery apex predator dominates the barren icy plains and snowy forests. Mothbirds worship the great goose as a harsh but just incarnation of ferocity – a living symbol of the cold world they live in.

Gentle dance

Jelly mermaids are known for gently swaying in the currents as if in a trance. Their slow movements often being mesmerising, that doesn't mean they're harmless, since they do have a nasty sting depending on the species, so be careful if they ask you to dance

The fae then takes elegant strides closes. “Well, was there ever any doubt, hmm?” they smirked “After all you aren’t like many of the humans I have met and seen now! You are quite... unique, rather clever as well as surprised by praise or flattery. Truly interesting.” they circle them for a moment, to stop in front of them and looked into their eyes whilst they pondered “Yes, indeed! Very much so!”

As you enter the tavern, you look round at all of the stony faced patrons. Oh wait! They've literally been turned to stone!⁠ ⁠ Time for another investigation. 🕵️
